“Carlette and JC are very sweet and helpful. Their property is beautiful, a great quick escape from city life! Being able to enjoy meals on the decks, and relax in the hammock and hot tub made this the exact getaway we were looking for. The only small downside was the neighbor starting yard manitence very early in the morning, which changed our sleeping in plans, but that cant be controlled by the hosts. Lovely property, we hope to return soon!”

“JoLynn’s tipi is the perfect option for anyone who wants to go camping without all the hassle. My boyfriend and I thought it was the perfect romantic weekend getaway! JoLynn has created a very secure, cozy tipi. You can park your car right next to it when you drive up, passing JoLynn’s house and the trailers on her property. The drive up is a little bumpy and dusty as you might expect. The tipi has plenty of space, blankets, lanterns and a small space heater as well. We did have a little mouse visitor in our tipi at night, but to be expected at any campsite. There is no true kitchen, but JoLynn has all the basics to make it easy for you! Right outside the tipi she has an adorable setup with string lights, a picnic table, BBQ, cooler, a hose for running water, and a power outlet. There are also two storage containers with some plates, spatulas, utensils, dish soap, paper towels, etc. These items were not very clean and definitely needed a wash before use, though I don’t mean this as a complaint - it is camping after all! If you want to make it even easier on yourself you could bring your own paper plates and clean mixing bowls, saucepans, etc. For the bathroom, JoLynn supplied toilet paper and there is an outdoor porta potty near the tipi. Otherwise, you can bring your toilet paper and walk down to the real bathroom outside of JoLynn’s house (3 min walk). JoLynn is super sweet and friendly, as are her dogs. She is also quick to respond if you need anything during your stay. Overall, this is the perfect setup if you want to go camping without all the hassle. Here are some items I would encourage you to bring: - Ice (there is an electric cooler, but we brought some extra ice in a foam cooler which was perfect) - A candle designed to keep bugs away (we had a lot of flies) - Fire wood - Extra kitchen supplies if you are making anything special or are a germaphobe - Carrots to feed the horses - Portable speaker - Layers (we came in May and it was still chilly at night)”
