The quiet location on the Gera River on the edge of the Steigerwald in connection with the proximity to the city and the good transport connections offers an ideal starting point for visits to Erfurt and the surrounding area, as well as for hiking and biking excursions. The Gera bike path leads directly along the house. Business travelers will find quiet and relaxing nights as well as free parking.

Our apartment is located in the beautiful Saale Valley below the Burgkhammer dam and in the immediate vicinity of Burgk Castle. Relax in a quiet, relaxed atmosphere surrounded by greenery. In our historic half-timbered house, you can expect the warmth of old plank floors and the coziness of antique furniture as well as modern comfort. The small separate garden offers space to relax and for the children to play. We are happy to advise you on excursions, hikes and bike tours.

Vacation home in the heart of Ziegenrück, the "Pearl on the Thuringian Sea" We have lovingly renovated the house with ecological materials and given it back the old charm of 1904. Up to 12 people can now be accommodated on 200 m² on 3 floors. The rooms are airy, with historical details from many decades. The house is located in the middle of the Thuringian Slate Mountains, in the immediate vicinity of the Hohenwarte reservoir, the ideal area for hiking, biking or canoeing.

The “Gute Stube”

Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly place. In earlier years, the "good room" in this house belonged to the grandparents who lived and managed the farm here. Here, the first floor was extensively renovated and converted. The terracotta floor gives the apartment a warm and Mediterranean atmosphere. In the hallway, the historic tiles and the front door from 1876 have been preserved. The kitchen-living room has become a cozy meeting place.

Here you can simply relax, go on great excursions into nature or to the Hohenwarte reservoir (Thuringian Sea), which is 1.2 km away on foot. Your dog is also welcome on the fenced, 1600 sqm garden plot. Wi-Fi, sauna, hot tub and table tennis are available free of charge. The pool and sauna are exclusively available for you. Free parking is also available in the fenced property and in front of the garage.

Alte Bäckerei - Old Bakery Center Saalfed Design

When master baker Hans Lange settled here in Saalfed in 1546 with the secret Nuremberg gingerbread recipe, no one could have guessed that his business would continue for 19 generations. We, as the 20th generation, cannot bake as well as our ancestors, but we would like to welcome you instead to our former bakery shop and thus continue the family tradition in a slightly different form. The Saalfeld fairy grottoes, the Leuchtenburg near Kahla, Jena, Gera, Weimar are not too far away. Here you can hike (the roads are also wheelchair accessible), watch animals or simply relax on the terrace. Infants up to 2 years old and children up to 6 years old are welcome.
