The property is located next to Scenic Point on Highway 7 in Jasper. The gift shop is adjacent to our property. You cannot ask for a better location for your trip to the Ozarks. You’re not far off the Highway, but you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere due to the tranquility of the space. This is a perfect spot to call "home base" during your hiking trip to Jasper or float trip on the Buffalo National River. Also, a side note; the inside fireplace is not usable but the outside firepit is.

The Highland Hideaway (with Highland cows!)

The Highland Hideaway is a perfect place for the whole family to relax and enjoy. Four of the cutest fuzzy cows live here! A wet-weather creek is just behind the house, with a rock bluff and fire pit. There is a foos ball table and massage chair for your enjoyment after a day of hiking. The Hideaway is located 3 miles from Carver Landing. You'll be within easy access to SO MANY gorgeous places, including the national park. There is a second home on the property that can also be booked.

Located centrally to Newton County's finest recreation, Red Cedar Cabin offers unparalleled access no matter your activity of interest. Come all who enjoy everything the Ozark Mountains have to offer! Located near hiking, rock climbing, water falls, and OHV trails. Bordering the Ozark National Forest, the property has a small pond, approximately 2 acres of park-like grounds around the cabin, and several ATV trails. Nearby, canoe the Buffalo River, explore multiple waterfalls, hike Pedestal Rocks Scenic Area, swim at Falling Water Falls, ride your ATV on miles of forest trails and backroads, and visit scenic towns of Jasper, Harrison, and Marshall.

Our cheerful, quiet and private a-frame style cabin is only 25 miles from the Buffalo National River with canoeing, swimming, and other activities. It is 6 miles from the Richland Creek Wilderness and about 8 miles from Falling Water creek, and 12 miles from Richland Creek Campground where the trail head starts for Richland Falls and Twin Falls. It is 25 miles from Marshall, 45 miles from Clinton and Walmart. We are only 1.5 hours from Branson MO, or Eureka Springs AR, or Ponca AR.

The Cabin is just off the highway with three quarter mile of gravel / dirt road. Please note, dirt road with gravel, hills, and curves. Close to the Buffalo National River. Excellent opportunities for canoeing, fishing, hiking, bicycling, motorcycling, and wildlife observation. Or relaxing in Mother Nature's backyard.
