“House is in a great location, just a couple minutes drive to the beach and restaurants. We didn’t walk it because we had 2 small children with us and the road is hilly, but it’s walkable. Cat met us at the airport for pickup and was great. We were delayed getting in and he waited for us for about 2 hours, not knowing if we were even going to show up. He was really knowledgeable and helpful with anything we needed from tours or groceries or restaurants or anything. We would run into him frequently in Castara and our kids were always super excited to see him and would ask about him when he wasn’t around. Communication was great, we always got quick and helpful responses. We also rented a car through Taylor car rentals and would highly recommend. We were able to see a lot of the island while we were there. The car was very nice and the price was excellent. We loved our time in Castara!”

“It was my first time in Tobago and it will not be my last. Roland while he was not present physically he was extremely good at communicating and answering any questions I had and I had alot of them hahaha. Upon check-in he called me and made sure I was ok and the check in process was smooth. It was easy to grab a taxi and head to town with very reasonably cab fares. It was a very relaxing and much needed get away from everyday life. The ocean was near and it was such a stress relief to just lay in the hammock and hear the waves crashing ashore”
This Guesthouse which was started in 1940 by Molly Davis and was the former family house of the Governor of Tobago (Hon. James Henry Keens C.M.G.) in the 1800's. It is located on Calder Hall Road (a Hill) 10-15 minutes walking distance from the Port-of-Scarborough and 2 minutes away from Fort King George, the lighthouse and the old Hospital (which still operates the Oncology Center). It comprises private rooms, 2 of which contain toilet & bath and very well suited to budget travellers.
“Can't recommend enough! Joan, Lee and Mark were such lovely and fun hosts, making us feel truly welcome in their home. The house is beautiful and Joan and Lee were often cooking lovely food that they would often offer us to try. I was working as a medical student in Scarborough general hospital which is only a short £1 shared taxi away from the guest house. The house is also situated in Scarborough which makes it ideal for exploring all of Tobago for travellers on more of a budget. Cheap shared taxis leave regularly from town going to all the main parts of the island and the family and toboggans, in general, are very helpful in showing you were to wait for the shared taxis making getting to beaches and travelling very easy. Wish I could have stayed longer. thank you!”
