Forget your worries in this spacious and serene rural retreat. "The Stables" sleeps 6 people with each bedroom having its own ensuite bathroom or shower room attached. There is a mature private garden to enjoy and access to the adjourning field which still has original WW2 foxholes dug by US parachutist who landed in the area. Beach, pubs, cafes and ice cream van all within walking distance. Property includes free parking - central location for getting to St Helier (10 min drive), Gorey (15 min drive), St Aubin / St Brelade (20 min drive). Jersey is famous for it’s beautiful coastal walks with views across to France. The cottage is 5 minute walk from North coast walks.

The Cottage

Beautiful rural two-storey gîte in ancient Normandy Long House in tranquil location close to Carentan, Utah Beach and D-Day Experience Museum. Located in the Les Marais Natural Park, surrounded by wildlife including horses, hares, and herons. Beautiful swimming pool open end May to end August. You will have access to a games room with a pool table and ping pong. We are unable to accommodate pets. Please also check out our other adjacent gîte - called 'Les Etables' or 'The Stables'.

The property "Les Chambres de Capucine" of 1.4 ha crossed by a river (1st cat) rents a mill (Middle Ages) tastefully restored (10 people max). Its equipped kitchen allows you to eat in the dining area or on the terrace. Its garden (barbecue) with outdoor Jacuzzi and walks in shared spaces (orchard, vegetable garden, pontoon, peninsula) close to the meadows of our two Highlands Cattle cows will enchant you. The petanque court on the banks of the river awaits you.

Near Sainte Mère Eglise and its D-Day Museum, Carentan and 20 minutes from Ravenoville beach, there is fishing and birds depending on the season, the famous Bar de l'Anguille with superb views of the Douve River. Rates are reduced during garden space renovation. The house is NOT yet suitable for young children.
