Montclair Private Garden Studio

Quality, private room with bath in garden setting at our home in the Montclair Hills area of Oakland. Private entrance, quiet, safe, residential area. The room is detached from our house and has a kitchen area (no oven) with sink, cabinets, microwave, hot plate and coffee maker available. The bed is a queen size, regular bed (with box spring). There is a small refrigerator built into the wall just outside the room. Table, lounge chairs, etc. available for your use in the garden. We are happy to provide information, maps, etc. that may enhance your stay. We have been with Airbnb for a few years now, have earned "Superhost" status, have traveled a lot, have exchanged our home in the past, and enjoy providing a pleasant "home away from home" for our guests. We are located just up the hill from Montclair Village, where you can find grocery stores, retail shops and restaurants. There is easy access from here to all of the cultural and scenic attractions of San Francisco, Berkeley and the Napa-Sonoma wine country. As we are in the hills, it is a good idea to have a car. There is wifi in the room; cell phone reception is sometimes spotty, depending on your carrier. There is unrestricted street parking available in front of our home. You can reach downtown SF by car in about 25 minutes. If you want to travel by public transit, you can walk to the village and take a bus to San Francisco, or park your car at Rockridge BART station (less than 10 minutes from our home). Many guests have taken lyft/Uber from the house to BART station (cost bout $6-8). Our garden studio is in a great location, with easy access to all attractions of the area. Redwood Sanctuary is located in the idyllic Oakland Hills with beautiful vistas, hikes, and parks within a short drive. The home is situated on half an acre of land in the middle of redwood, eucalyptus, and oak trees secluded away from other homes. Montclair village is an 8 minute drive, providing lots of great food and shops. Minutes from Highway 13 and 580. It is a 1 bedroom studio with a queen bed and a pull out sofa bed.
