Monthly Rentals in Pigeon River

What a great find. A centuries old log built cabin in the Applalachians on the Tenn/NC border. Minutes away from the AT, and plenty of other hiking around. Best part was sitting on the porch rocking in the rocking chair listening to the sounds of the creek just feet away. Holly was there on my arrival to greet me and was so friendly and it really shows she cares for the cabin and her guests. I definitely will be back to stay and do some more hiking and unplug for a bit.

I have lived in a lot of places over the past year while traveling for school, and this was the best of the bunch. Everything was great, including a clean comfortable space, available toiletries, efficient appliances, simple check in and out, amazing 10/10 mountain view.

Definitely a workout to get to and from the cabin, but worth the exclusivity. Peaceful and quiet surrounded by forest. The hike down to the pond was nice. You must go up to the Buddhist Monastery “Peace Pagoda”. They have the best view from their balcony and they were very friendly and welcoming to come check it out. Loved my relaxing time there.

Amazing mountainscape views, peaceful morning birdsong, considerate welcoming gestures from the hosts. Definitely a space I can recommend and look forward to staying in the future. Very close to the Bailey Mountain Preserve and Hamp Gap trail access.
