“Phillip and Pascal were wonderful hosts - kind and thoughtful and full of good suggestions on how to spend our time in the region. The photos are very accurate and we loved the gardens and open air living space. Next door construction was noisy but it wasn’t constant and did not interfere with our good time. Overall we were very comfortable and felt so welcome in this beautiful home. Great location walking distance to one of the most gorgeous and remote beaches I’ve ever seen! I would definitely stay here again!”
Casa Viva is a unique, and completely private "container" cabin to enjoy with your friends, family and loved ones. It is located in Bahia Ballena ("Whale Bay") on the South Pacific coast of Costa Rica. Surrounded by vast nature, you will enjoy the sounds of the brilliantly colored macaws and toucans, watch the monkeys up close, and may even spy a sloth in the trees, all while immersed in the tropical green lushness of the jungle but also a few steps from the beach. Also available Casa Viva 2
“Our family of 5, my husband, cousin, toddler (2yr) , baby (11mo) and myself stayed here for one night. We checked in with Roy’s dad and he’s an incredible human being! He’s soooo sweet, attentive and with great tips. He showed us the place and how everything worked. We immediately fell in love with the house, it’s small but very comfortable. Very stylish and high tech. We enjoyed how close the place is to the beach and how quiet it was at night time. The house comes equipped with everything you’ll need from coffee, sugar to shampoo and body soap. At checkout Roy dad made sure we had everything and when I told him I desperately wanted a guanabana he showed me he’s tree and wanted to share the fruit with me but hadn’t ripen yet. 😔 was a great gesture though. I definitely recommend this place and if I ever come back to Costa Rica, will definitely look Roy up again!”
