Beachfront holiday rentals in Playa El Tunco

I stayed here with my husband and our two young kids. We enjoyed our stay and felt right at home. The neighborhood was very safe. The private beach was an easy walk from the house and the drive to El Tunco beach was short. Otto was friendly and easy to communicate with. We would stay here again and will recommend to others!

We can't say enough wonderful things about this home and the host! Guillermo was incredibly helpful, offering great tips for local attractions, and truly just a kind and thoughtful person. The space itself is beautiful. It was hard to believe we had the entire place to ourselves. The pool was a major highlight for the kids and a perfect spot to cool off during the midday heat. The bedrooms were spotless, comfortable, and had reliable air conditioning. The wifi was fast, and the two TVs provided the perfect setup for family movie nights or some quiet time for the parents to enjoy the outdoor space. The beach is very close, almost like having your own private stretch of sand. The Tienda down the road is super convenient for last-minute snacks or grabbing your morning coffee. We had such a fantastic time and would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a luxurious getaway.

Perfect place, 5 minute walk to the beach. Great pool, lots of space around, close to grocery stores and close to highway going to San Salvador about 40 minute drive. Close to other beaches to like El Zonte, El Tunco, etc.

My friends and I had a wonderful stay at this idyllic, tropical home. The surreal view of the ocean, various lounging areas, fully stocked kitchen, and the large pool (with a cute little table and seats inside of it) provided the perfect getaway. The nearby private beach is gorgeous and only a short walk away down a few flights of stairs. The hosts, along with the housekeeper, were all friendly, communicative, and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We cannot recommend this place enough and would love to return someday!

We had a great time with friends at your residence. The outdoor space was a favorite for our group. The neighborhood is very nice and tranquil, ideal for relaxing. The proximity to the beach and amenities exceeded our expectations. It was easy to get to nearby neighborhoods for more entertainment. We'd come back if we had a chance!

This is a beautiful ranch! The house is in a very peaceful area right on the beach. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. Both the beds and the bedding were new. The caretaker Omar and Susana were very attentive and friendly. This house was very spacious and has a beautiful kitchen along with an amazing pool. Thank you for letting us use your beautiful ranch!

We stayed for two nights and brought the kids and the dog. Dona Cande and Don Pablo were welcoming and helpful during our stay. Guillermo provided us a lovely house and made the process easy. Great pool and the beach is right there! Awesome place to stay!

John and Mirna are stellar hosts, who have crafted a wonderful home in Atami. They curated the space to fit our needs so well. We really enjoyed the proximity to arguably one of the best beaches in El Salvador. There caretaker “Chele” was one of the kindest humans we have ever met. He greeted us upon arrival and was available for any need that arose during our stay. A couple stand out features of the home were the air conditioning, washer and dryer, bbq grill, pool, lush green gardens and ample well water! We felt very safe in the neighborhood and behind the security wall protecting the property. There are great restaurants close by and this location is a central jumping off point for many adventurers. I highly recommend a stay with John and Mirna. P.s. 10 days wasn’t enough time for us, so plan accordingly the more the merrier.

Our stay at this property was nothing short of incredible! The views are absolutely breathtaking—overlooking one of the most beautiful private beaches in El Salvador. Waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying the stunning scenery was a highlight of our trip. Glenda, the host, was fantastic! She was very responsive to all our questions and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Her communication was prompt and helpful throughout the entire process. Zulma, the groundskeeper, was equally amazing. She was incredibly attentive and went out of her way to ensure we felt welcome and taken care of. Although she doesn’t speak English, her kindness and willingness to help transcended any language barrier. This is the perfect spot for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with top-notch hospitality. We can’t wait to return!

Peaceful, secluded, luxurious, calm! Our family got everything out of our stay that we were hoping to. Lissette was very responsive to email prior to our arrival. Using GPS and a bit of deductive reasoning enabled an easy arrival. Minor confusion upon check-in that was quickly resolved. The grounds are spectacular and are actually closer to the beach than the pictures indicated. The pool was wonderful for adults and kids alike! Rooms were spotless and very accommodating. Do note: there is one restaurant fairly close by, but really not much else at all, and no food delivery options we could find. Bringing food to prepare meals is all but a ‘must.’ (Not an issue since we came prepared to do so.) Also worth noting that the property is directly under the flight path for the airport, and planes can be heard landing throughout the day - very manageable, but unexpected.

Everything was great! Walter, Osea, the wonderful chef! Everything was perfect! Attentive, accommodating, and welcoming. I loved Cassa Castillo and my girlfriend enjoyed her birthday because of this hidden gem of a home. They welcomed us with fresh coconuts and birthday decorations for my girlfriend, and we hired the chef who gave us extra papusas when we were leaving! Next time we visit El Salvador we will be staying in our new vacation home Cassa Castillo! Thank you again!

This place was amazing. I am from Elsalvador and wanted to venture out more. My family and I stayed here and it was a great experience. I did not want to leave. The view, atmosphere, pool, beach all was beautiful and amazing. The Host made it feel like Home. She was the sweetest person, and helped us with anything we needed with a smile on their face. Elsalvador is beautiful the culture is beautiful. And this is a perfect place to stay. The host always made sure our rooms, bathrooms and kitchen were clean. The host washed our clothes, and made us feel at home. I will definitely book with them again. If you go in November to April, it will look even more beautiful since that is the summer time In Elsalvador. Thank you for such a great experience.

Stunning, glorious, truly a diamond in the rough. My heart is full after the surf and mission trip where we were fortunate to stay at this beautiful location… We will be back the house, caretaker and host along side of Angie. The host for all my communication was absolutely out of this world. I have a huge appreciation and heart towards both of them and their families. God bless them and thank you for this beautiful gift. We will always treasure. I will be adding this location to my peaceful place in my mind forever and ever.

Aequor Villas is a must, the pictures are true and accurate. Friendly staff and accommodating to be of help in anyway they can. My family and I had a wonderful experience. Place is safe, clean and comfortable.

Location was great to get to beaches, surrounding restaurants are good, kitchen at the house was stocked with all kitchen supply we needed, door men were pleasant and made sure the area was safe, Lindsey was easy to get a hold of, and overall my family and I had a great time. A good place to disconnect and relax for sure. Make sure to bring books, playing cards, or other things for the down time at the house. There was some DVD movies, but we didn’t watch any of the TV’s. Great time laying in the hammock by the pool and reading was super relaxing to me.
