Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in Polignano a Mare

The house in a very convenient spot, very close to the central city square. All of the city accessible on foot. The house was clean, everything tidy, with kitchen utensils, and everything necessary for a coffee or cooking for anyone who wants to. The owner was very kind, gave information about the area, cared if everything was okay, and I knew he would be available if anything comes up. Everything was very nice, excellent stay and good value for money. The interior of the house with interesting architecture of local stone and a well inside the bedroom. Everything was very beautiful. Because it was August there was a little noise from passers-by at night without being intrusive.

We had a wonderful stay at Luciana, everything was as expected and more! The room is very spacious and clean, you are in the heart of Matera with stunning view from the balcony and walking distances to all main attractions/restaurants. Breakfast excellent, served on the balcony. And as for walking, Luciana explained to us each part of the old town on a map, so we don’t miss anything :). Also helped a lot before arriving with bus schedules and tips. There are a lot to say, but we felt like being home, in a wonderful place.

i stayed in the single room, which is small but very well organized and has a fantastic en-suite bathroom. The bed is comfortable, the breakfast (included) is excellent, the people who manage the place are kind and very welcoming. The bed and breakfast is located on the border between the modern city and the stones, which can be reached in a few minutes on foot. The value for money to me was excellent.

Marilena is hands down the best Airbnb host we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed and cared for. The apartment was spotless and beautiful, but what truly stood out was her thoughtfulness. She had prepared snacks, local treats, and a full breakfast spread—fruit, pastries, juice, coffee—more than any host has ever done for us. Every detail felt personal and warm. Marilena went above and beyond in every way, always available with recommendations and tips, making sure we had everything we needed. She even checked in to ensure we were comfortable and enjoying our time. Her kindness, hospitality, and attention to detail turned our stay in Matera into something truly unforgettable. We had the most wonderful time at Giulia and Francesco’s. They were very communicative and helpful in planning our arrival. When we arrived we chose to pay for a home cooked meal by Giulia and it was BY FAR the best meal we had in our entire trip. It was just incredible. Her home made limoncello was also amazing! Thank you for a truly authentic stay, would highly recommend!

Amazing location, easy to get to. would recommend putting the address in google maps, not apple maps, as apple maps is less accurate in Matera's streets in general

Andreina's apartment is very well located close to the ancient city which is an incredible discovery! She was able to accommodate our arrival time, everything is clean and welcoming at her home!

We are a family of four that stayed for almost a week at villa Ellen’s. Mara was a truly great hostess that gave the place an air of friendly glamour. The pool, view and breakfast was superb. Highly recommend the villa Ellen’s.

Perfect spot to visit old Bari- convenient and close to the seafront, restaurants etc. Cristina was very helpful and made reservations for us, gave us info for the airport bus etc

What a beautiful place! We loved every minute, Patrizia made us feel right at home and we had the most peaceful, relaxing, and authentic Italian holiday. The breakfasts are the best we’ve ever had - an abundance of food, fresh and homemade. The rooms are large, luxurious and have everything you need. The pool area is stunning, nestled in and overlooking an olive grove. And the location is great, between Ceglie and Ostuni, with easy access to Alberobella, Polignano etc. What more could you want… Thank you Patrizia for a wonderful time!!!

Wonderful accommodation… we expected a room and bathroom and instead it was really nice and cozy… nothing was missing to make the most of our stay. The host also treated us like family, she was fabulous! Highly recommended for having a cozy and quiet place to relax after touring the enchanting surroundings.

Very clean, large apartment. Great location and quiet because outside the Trulli District, which we preferred. Easy walk to the Trulli Districts and parking was readily available. Vito is a super host.

The place is a jewel - beautiful beyond belief and Anna and Salvatore have style and generosity to match! I hope to come back again soon, and feel I have made two friends.

Everything was just perfect! The trullo is beautiful and was equipped with everything we needed, the surrounding was perfect to relax, enjoy nature and it is also a great starting-point to explore cities, beaches etc. in the area by car. Christian and his family were perfect hosts who made us feel welcome, gave us great tips for day-trips and cooked us delicious vegan breakfast. All in all - a great experience that we would absolutely recommend.

The house was perfect for our family vacation, located on the country side, amazingly quiet but a short drive from a small and charming town (Martina Franca). The house beautifully designed , amazing atmosphere and everything is so comfortable. We enjoyed the house so much. Everything we needed and more. Every detail with thought and good taste. I adored the combination of the old trulli with new architecture. Our girls loved the chickens (that gave us eggs every day for breakfast), the sweet cats and most of all the big beautiful pool. Every day we travelled to surrounding towns and used a lot of Elle’s recommendations in the guide book she prepared and they were perfect. Maria Pia, the property manager, was great. She welcomed us when we arrived and gave good feeling that she was not far for anything if needed. We had a great vacation in Puglia a lot thanks to this wonderful house. I warmly recommend and I hope I will have the chance to come back.
