We had a fabulous long weekend at Fenny Castle. The cottages are extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The living space in ‘big cottage’ is perfect for all being together. The outside seating area is lovely and use of the tennis court a real bonus. Poppy and Esme were very helpful with suggestions for walks and local pubs. The location is extremely peaceful with lovely rural views including Glastonbury Tor in the distance (which we climbed). Also visited the Saturday market in beautiful Wells and wandered through Glastonbury town for an alternative experience! Had a good roast at The Sheppey, a quirky pub a mile and a half from the cottages. Would highly recommend.

Yet another lovely few days at The Hidey Hole the lemon drizzle cake was delicious and Martha loved her dog treats. Looking forward to my next visit in July. Would highly recommend.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable and comfortable five night stay at the Old Stable. It is in a beautiful location with panoramic views across to Glastonbury Tor from the large living room windows and small balcony. We made use of a very well equipped kitchen to cook and eat on several evenings. The proximity to a dairy farm might not be to everyone’s taste but we really enjoyed seeing the cows going back and forth to milking! Lots of great scenery and history close by to explore by car. The main road from Glastonbury to Wells is less than a 10 minute walk and we made use of the frequent bus service to visit both places without needing to bother about parking. Communication with Richard and Jennifer was excellent throughout. We can thoroughly recommend the Old Stable as a place to stay.

An absolutely gorgeous property, every little detail was thought of, it had everything we needed and was pristine. We felt right at home immediately! The area was lovely and quiet. The garden with its bench, tree swing and willow tree was beautiful. It was perfectly situated for our itinerary which included Cheddar, Wells, Glastonbury and Stonehenge and we had a fabulous guide left for us of local attractions, restaurants and more. We had a very relaxing break away. We also had the honour of meeting Stanley and Loki the resident dogs to end our trip! Will definitely visit again! Thanks Lou and family :)
