Amazing house and view

We really enjoyed the holiday week we spent as a family! The accommodation is very comfortable, with a lot of activities for kids and adults!

This tiny house (which is the ideal size) is certainly one of the best surprises this year, undoubtedly the most important part of one of the best weekends ever! The proximity to Rio and everything the house offers makes this place magical and very special. Repeating soon. 🙂Thanks Andreia!

The house is a delight. Spacious and full of charm and character. Had everything we needed as far as amenities. Plenty for cooking, playing games, a few interesting books as well. It’s a good location, too. Most everything was easily walkable, including the city’s cultural center, and the stadiums where they have basketball and futsal games (go Electrico!). We also visited a nearby winery and used Ponte de Sor as our launching point for daytrips to Tomar and Evora. I contacted Luis a couple of times during my stay and he responded quickly every time. He was 100% committed to ensuring I had a great visit. I would definitely stay here again. Luis was one of the best hosts I’ve worked with.

Great stay, great house, Mr. Bernardo was an excellent person always available to help. The only improvement was to get the power in the house to support multiple devices without the lights going out. But otherwise, everything was good

Espectacular! The house is beautiful, with a spacious, comfortable, quiet and privacy. We loved the decoration and everything they offer inside it such as: cooking utensils, cleaning products, coffee (automatic capsule coffee machine), linens, towels, cloths, hammock, TV, internet, among others. The truth is that the photos of the listing do not show how beautiful both the house and the place are. We were very pleased. Our furry 4 legs enjoyed more than we did. The listing indicated that it did not have heating, upon arrival we found the pleasant surprise of having a leather stove. Upon receiving us, they gave us the in-person directions on how it works. The best thing was to enjoy New Year's Eve without the annoying noises of fireworks, which our animals also appreciated. We bought things in La Codosera (10 mins) and we were able to get to know Portalegre, Arronches and Castello de Vide. Everything is very close. Recommended!

It's a quiet, beautiful, unforgettable place

We had a blast for my 30th birthday. Perfect location, beautiful house with an amazing garden. John was super helpful with the checking and very kind.

Great place to spend a relaxed, serene and comfortable weekend. Herdade maintains the traditional traces of typical palace construction, but offers all the comfort, namely in the rooms. Beds are large and very comfortable. I think we benefited from renting the entire space so we did not feel in a room, but at home, in the double sense: with the whole space for us and very cozy. Note for the outside, very spacious, the pool area is quite pleasant and, the best part of all, is undoubtedly the animals that exist on the farm (present, but without bothering). There are chickens, goats, cats and dogs. Trufa (a young dog) was an excellent host, always wanting to play and keep company. For sure if we return to this area will be for Herdade da Ordem!

Herdade da Maxuqueira is a spectacular place that I hope to be able to return. The interior and exterior areas are very well cared for, equipped and comfortable for the number of people who stay overnight. In addition, Sofia was a great guest always available for any questions that arose. I highly recommend it.

Our stay at this incredible house in Castelo de Vide was absolutely perfect! The house is spacious, charming, and filled with character and history, making it an ideal retreat for our entire family. We were all amazed by the stunning view over Castelo de Vide from the house – it truly took our breath away every morning. The large, beautiful kitchen was a standout feature for us. It is well-equipped and perfect for preparing family meals, with plenty of space for everyone to pitch in and cook together. The historic charm of the kitchen added a special touch to our experience. The bedrooms were comfortable and well-appointed. The living areas were cozy and welcoming, with enough room for everyone to relax and unwind. The pool was a highlight, with sun beds and umbrellas, and warm water at the end of the day, with the solar exposure. The host was incredibly hospitable and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed for a memorable stay. We highly recommend this wonderful home.

We came for our daughter's wedding and everything was perfect. We were able to receive, the day before the wedding, our daughter's family and friends in Australia, thanks to Joana's support who cooked us great salads!! The terrace and the environment greatly contributed to the atmosphere of these 3 days spent at José's. This house is in a superb environment that can make you think of the African bush, the great outdoors of Argentina; it's simply magical as a place and so quiet! We have two daughters who live in Lisbon and will surely come back with friends!

An excellent place to rest. There's everything you need in the kitchen, spacious living room. Were some great das. Many thanks to Ana for everything.

The house was very clean and had lots of space. Some of the beds were very firm so we did have to trade rooms with one of our kids for a softer mattress. Overall a great house with plenty to explore in the area. Went to the local cheese shop and got great sight seeing recommendations from the worker. The Marble Museum had cool sculptures and info about the local areas history in extracting marble. The pool is not heated and was a little chilly in late September, but the kids still had fun.

House equipped with everything we need for a family vacation, with a fantastic view and total privacy. Excellent communication by Mr. José António who always responded promptly to our questions. We love it!!

Great place to stay with family. Pool was lovely and facing the sunset. Close to amenities and main national road made travelling around the area very easy. Hosts were very nice and helpful when any issues arose.

Unique place for those looking to have a good time in tranquility and peace. We were very well received and our stay was really enjoyable! Unique experience with all the animals and wonderful scenery, not forgetting the features of the house that almost take us on a trip through time. The house is very spacious and the kitchen is super well-equipped, with everything you need for a family vacation or with friends. Bruno's instructions were very clear, so it was easy to arrive and check in. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!
