Easily accessed from the A9 (on the NC500 route) and just a two-minute walk from a secluded beach and estuary with lots of short walks from the front door and plenty longer ones in the vicinity. Welcome! This is our quirky wee cottage. Originally a traditional Scottish but and ben it now offers a cosy getaway in the far north highlands. Taigh Neonach is Gaelic for odd cottage which suits its slightly unconventional character. A fantastic base to explore the North of Scotland, whether you are touring the NC500, relaxing in the quiet wilderness of Caithness, doing a spot of fishing, shooting, walking, cycling... the choices are endless like the views!

Cute tiny shepherd's hut near to the village

Our quirky, cute shepherd's hut sits in a semi-wild orchard next to our house, and near to an historic mill. It is ideal for one or two people and comes equipped with a comfortable double bed, a folding table, a small kitchen area with a microwave, kettle and toaster and a tiny private bathroom, with a hot shower. Outside, the decking provides a space to relax. The BBQ provides an option for dinner. Drinking water is from a tap on the side of the hut.

BERRISCUE HOUSE - ENTIRE COTTAGE - THURSO

Berriscue House is a beautiful, bespoke cottage - located in the centre of Thurso, hidden away from the world with a large walled garden and private entrance. Five minute walk from the beach. Everything you need for a cosy Scottish retreat! If booking the same day after 6pm please message as it may still be possible to book. If you require the extra bed in the living room, you must tell us in your initial message so we know to prepare this for you.

Whisky - Pods on the Croft

We are a working Croft in the heart of the highlands overlooking Loch Shin, with views of Ben More Assynt. Where a warm welcome awaits you. Come and explore what Sutherland has to offer from walking, canoeing and cycling to fishing and a good game of golf all within easy drive. Spend the night in either Whisky or Skipper. One of our pods named after our dogs. Take a seat on the deck with a cuppa or a glass and watch the world go by.

The Pavilion, Foulis Castle, Highland Scotland

The Pavilion is a Luxurious Self Catered Wing of Foulis Castle just out of Evanton near the ancient burgh of Dingwall. The Pavilion is positioned within beautiful landscaped gardens overlooking the Cromarty Firth. Foulis Castle is a 15-20 min walk away from the Storehouse of Foulis Restaurant & Farm shop, which is situated on the shore of the Cromarty Firth (Mon-Sat 9-5pm).
