Holiday rentals in Porto Novo

Katia's home has a wonderful view of Paul's green valley. The setting is totally exotic and soothing! The accommodation is located in a small village with a few shops and restaurants nearby. Thanks to Katia for helping us arrange transportation for our arrival and departure.

We had a great time at this place! Warm welcome, beautiful and peaceful environment, nearby beach, comfortable accommodation with a beautiful terrace on which it was very nice to have the breakfasts that were brought to us every morning (be sure to specify this option beforehand with the host)... Paradise!! Two small points of attention, however, if you plan to stay: - Without a car, access is probably difficult because, as mentioned in other reviews, the listing is at the end of a long sandy/stone path and outside downtown Porto Novo - Don't rely too much on WiFi which is quite random 😅😉 Still, we recommend without so much as a second thought!! We wish we had stayed a little longer!! Thank you so much for hosting us 😊

Albertina is a retired professional. She loves kids more than herself. She takes care of children without parents, kids with sick parents, kids whose cannot afford or able to take care of. She doesn’t discriminate against either child! Her staffs are the same. Besides the fact that her place is extremely clean and comfortable, stay here and help save a child. Some say it’s difficult to find, it’s not hard at all. It’s a 5 minutes drive from the port. Give the cab driver her phone number, and she’ll direct them if they never been there. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else!

Great place. Very close to the sea and secluded, it allows you to recharge. Angela was very sweet and helpful. It is a 10min walk from the road and can therefore be difficult to access for taxis.

This was my second time staying at Nilton's place. It's in a beautiful top floor location with a roof terrace and very private and peaceful. The interior is large, open plan and always sparkling clean. The bed is comfortable and always with many additional blankets depending on the weather. The shower is always warm and reliable. It's the best property I stay in Santo Antão. Nilton is easy to deal with and very polite and friendly. I tend to arrive at unusual times after travelling from staying in the North of the island and he and his family are always flexible to be able to let me in. There is a small typical neighbourhood shop a few doors away round the corner. The ferry port is about 10 minutes walk, there are good restaurants about 5 minutes walk.

Enjoyed our truck ride to Pinto do Sol as well as the excellent lunch at Ribeira Grande . We enjoyed the beach very close to the place where people were friendly

We had a wonderful time in Carlos's dream house. Great views, plenty of space and plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Multiple seats around the house and a driveway behind the gate to place a car. Possibility to cook in the large kitchen, the shop next to the house even has sandwiches and fresh eggs. A number of kittens and cats sometimes walked through the garden(do not come in), they do like an extra bite to eat ;) Don't forget to bring something for the mostly poor population such as the inhabitants of the distant mountain villages, a small effort with a big effect! Among other things, we brought colored pencils, erasers and drawing stuff, they were so happy. Restaurant Casa Maracuja is highly recommended!
