Peace in the countryside in Somerniemi

In the courtyard of the farm, a granny cottage with amenities. From the cottage terrace, you can watch the horses and hear the donkeys greetings. In the summer, you can see the horse pastures from the clearing. The terrace has a new gas grill and furniture. There are also cats, dogs, sheep and a mini pig on the farm. You can get to know the animals with the help of the farm's staff. Near the cottage, there is a pond, not suitable for swimming (hummus water), a small yacht and a canoe available for guests. The pond is visible from the cottage's terrace. You can walk to the pond and see the scenery.

Designed by architect Adrian Thomander and bearing his name, this building is one of the oldest in Turku. Completed in 1907, it has been carefully restored with respect for its original character. The bright second-floor apartment combines Finnish design with a calm, timeless atmosphere. The space invites you to slow down and experience the building’s history. Stay comfortably (max. 6 persons) in this cottage, renovated in 2021 and suitable for winter use, in a quiet environment along the Archipelago ring road, close to Turku (12km), golf courses (Aurinkogolf 7 km, Kankainen Golf 6 km), Moomin World 12km. Cottage and sauna building with bathroom and air heat pump, large glazed terrace with gas barbecue. Wood-heated sauna 15 eur/evening, hot tub 80 eur/evening, electric car charging 20c/kwh.

The cottage is located on a large 3.5-hectare lot in a secluded area surrounded by small ponds. You can enjoy the gentle heat of the wood sauna and then relax in the warm water of the hot tub. At sunset, you can see moose, deer, and other forest animals grazing in the nearby field from the terrace. You can also head to the nearby forests to pick mushrooms and berries and prepare dinner from them. Small pets are allowed!

During summertime we also have small cabin outside that can hold 2 extra persons. Cabin has sauna and shower with short distance to swimming pool.
