“Liz and Bill are wonderful hosts! They go above and beyond for their guests and are so friendly and accommodating! Their house is lovely and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. This is the second time my son and I have stayed with them and we'll definitely be back again! You couldn't ask for a nicer pair of people to stay with! Thank you again for a wonderful stay :)”
A restored outbuilding adjacent to a Georgian house up a private lane just one mile outside Presteigne; this comfortable 2 bedroom self-contained space offers privacy, peace, modern facilities and lovely views from balconies on each end.
“Emma's House is just lovely and so are the hosts. Fast communication, easy to check in and a really nice and relaxing lodge in the countryside. We stayed the weekend as a reunion with some friends and we had a great time. It is super warm with the fabulous woodburning stove and you are surrounded by nature. We loved every minute and will be back for sure!”
Welcome back! We’re following Covid-19 cleaning guidelines but please contact us first if you need more detail. Kington is a small market town off the beaten track on the Herefordshire/Welsh Border. Our cottage is in a quiet, secluded spot in the town whose amenities include food stores, cafes, takeaways and pubs. Walkers’ heaven! Offa’s Dyke Path passes within about 300m of our door. If you stay 2 nights when walking the Path, we can collect/deposit you from/to the trail free of charge.
“We had a great stay at Liz’s place. Liz met us in the car park around the corner and drove us back to the house. The room is spacious with a huge en suite bathroom, all sparkling clean with lots of nice touches. Liz took the time to speak to us about our day and she knows all about the town and walks in the area. We highly recommend. There are lots of pubs within walking distance and we both had splendid homemade lasagne in the Oxford Arms down the road. They also had a free pool table and darts board, what’s more the locals were friendly and spoke to us and the landlord and staff couldn’t have been better.”
