Enjoy a holiday and get active in Punkaharju Lake Saimaa's waves are just 100 metres away, and the fishing waters of Pihlajavesi and Puruvesi await enthusiasts. The area's sandy beaches, the Forest Museum, the farm animal farm, and the hiking trails with shelters in the tree species park offer activities for the whole family. The Savonlinna Opera Festival is a 30-minute drive away. There are several sandy beaches in the area. In Punkaharju, there are grocery shops, a pharmacy and a petrol station; the journey is 8 km. 30 km to Savonlinna, 6 km to Lusto railway station, 350 km to Helsinki.

Apartment in an old school

Apartment at the sheltered end of the former village school. The apartment has a kitchen, an open bedroom and a bathroom. Sleeps four. Double bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room. The apartment has a teacher's platform and outdoor stairs, so it is not accessible. The outdoor sauna is heated for an additional fee. The apartment is located in a quiet area, 8 km from the city center. The rest of the building is for the host's own use. There is room in the yard to stay and, for example, barbecue. Also suitable for families with children.

Modern beach studio with a view near the city center

Enjoy the cottage atmosphere in a modern apartment building - the lake is so close that the balcony has the sound of waves. This renovated and bright home is located on an island on the shores of the clear-water Lake Saimaa, approximately 2 km from the town centre. It’s easy to get here by car, by bus or on foot – you can also get from the beach to the market square in half an hour on a SUP board. The balcony shines in the evening sun, so the temperature in the apartment is pleasant even in the heat.

Between fishes – our house on the lake in Finland

Our piece of land is located on Kaita Järvi– an about 8 km long and a few hundred meter wide lake – it is a small peninsula that looks to the south. That means: sun from morning to evening (if it shines). There right on the shore you find our log cabin, with sauna, bathroom, living room with open kitchen and two small bedrooms. A few meters next to it is a studio like guesthouse, the "Aita". It is also very cosy and comfortable, but provides no own bathroom. Village Savonranta is 5 km away.

True Finnish cottage experience by Lake Saimaa

Experience the traditional Finnish lake cottage life. This log cottage was built in the 1800's with hand carved logs. It is located on a beautiful lake shore with fantastic views. Here you can enjoy nature and total peace just a 10 min. car drive from Savonlinna centre. You have a good chance of spotting the endangered Saimaa ring seal, often swimming in front of the cottage. Both the cottage and the sauna are just a few meters from the lake shore. There is a rowing boat for guests to use.

Villa Myllymäki

In the villa Myllymäki, built on top of Myllymäki with my own hands, it is easy to relax and get close to nature while enjoying the magnificent scenery. A window the size of the entire end wall frames the magnificent lake landscape. The farm has about 40 hectares of forest for animal grazing, which guarantees easy and fine hiking terrain. The distance to the center of Savonlinna is 10 km by car or 6 km by boat. The farm also has a private lean-to by the pond with equally stunning views.

Mini-house on the shore of Lake Saimaa

You will always remember the rugged landscape of this destination. The property is located near Kolovesi National Park on the shores of Saimaa Pyyvesi. The property has stunning views, but it is only about 300 meters from the paved country road. There are neighbors on the property. The mini-house was completed in 2025 and the sauna in the adjacent building dates back to 2024. The accommodation is ideal for those interested in hiking, cycling, fishing and paddling.

Romantic shelter with a great view

A cozy cottage between pines and the lake just in 2 steps from Saimaa. It is quite small inside (30 square meters) with a big open terrace and a green lawn in front of it. There are a Loft bed for 2 people with a view, a small kitchen, fireplace, sauna on woods inside the cabin. It is great to start your day from early swimming and yoga/breakfast at the terrace listening to birds songs and finish your day with a glass of wine taking pictures of a stunning sunset.

Cottage on the shores of Lake Saimaa🏠❤️

You can enjoy nature in Lake Saimaa by rowing, fishing or paddling, in the woods, picking berries. A great place to stay for those who enjoy the peace of nature. Stay comfortably in Savonlinna's Old Town

The apartment is located in a neat apartment building on the corner of idyllic Linnankatu and Koulukatu. Nearby are the main landmarks of Savonlinna; it is about 400 m to Olavinlinna and the provincial museum, to the market about 500 m. Just outside the house is Little Two's Playground and Beach. Savonlinna Hall is located about 1 km from the destination. Keys easily follow sop.muk.
