Comfortable cosy cottage beside Mt Ruapehu. Ideal for bikers, Tongariro Crossing hikers or photographers exploring the local scenery. Independent so you can come and go at will. Full kitchen (though basic with retro fridge and no dishwasher), TV, DVDs and Chromecast, unlimited wifi, laundry, heating & aircon. One double room and one room with 2 singles (that can push together), plus a couch bed in the living room and a travel cot. From mid-May to Oct book 'Shannon Cottage (winter)' instead.

The Treehouse, Raetihi, in the Ruapehu region

The Treehouse is set in grounds of our Villa in Raetihi in the Ruapehu region, it sits on stilts amongst the trees, with a walk way for ease of access. A warm well insulated room with comfortable king size bed, around the deck to the shower, toilet and out door bath. Enjoy a wonderful relax in the bath with bubbles and a choice of fairy lights or the vastness of a starlit sky. All linen provided. Gas hot water. All water is town supply. Our place is close to the great Tongariro National Park. It includes Mt Ruapehu for skiing or snow boarding and tramping. Walk the world famous Tongariro Crossing and discover the cycle ways, kayak the Whanganui River and explore the 'Bridge to No Where'. Try trout fishing, a game of golf or visit the Waiouru Army Museum. Enjoy our cosy home with a wood fire whilst taking in the amazing mountain and rural views. Our place is good for couples and families (with kids) or small groups.

Ohingaiti Farm Cottage

Located on State Highway 1... 2 hours south of Taupo, 2 hours north of Wellington & 1 hour to Ohakune. Enjoy a wine on the deck looking out at the operating sheep and beef farm. Our restored shearers quarters are modern, warm, bright and comfortable. Double glazed, fireplace, insulated, infinity gas and beautifully decorated. We have free Wifi. ChromeCast on the TV. This bach is our happy place. Sat on 1/2 an acre it's an easy walk to central Ohakune's restaurants/bars/cafes and the supermarket. After walking, snowboarding, skiing or mountain biking relax on the deck or in the spa with a view to Mount Ruapehu. When you are ready for more action go to the games room for darts, pool or foosball. Both the bach and games room have heat pumps and TVs and of course there is wifi, plenty of parking, and a drying room.
