Our Deluxe Wigwam is situated on an old croft on the Westside of the Island of Westray in the Orkney Islands. The croft fronts onto and looks across the bay of Tuquoy and is near a salt marsh which attracts migrating birds. Low tide reveals a large sandy bay and provides a great opportunity for walking and beachcombing
“We had a lovely stay at David’s place. Before we arrived in Westray he provided us with a very detailed map and instructions to get to the cabin and to do the check-in. Upon arrival we were truly impressed with the beautiful location right by the sea shore. The cabin itself was everything we could have hoped for: sparkling clean, comfy, and with all the amenities except for a TV and Internet, which we didn’t miss at all as it makes it the perfect place to disconnect. The hot water and the heating worked perfectly, and after having the radiator on for a couple of hours, it was really lovely and warm there, even though it was pretty much freezing outside. Westray and the neighbouring island of Papa Westray are gorgeous, and the people that we met there couldn’t have been any friendlier. They were really kind and helpful. We will definitely be back soon!”
Join us on the beautiful island of Sanday. Our property backs onto the sea and our garden runs down to a loch. Peace, quiet, beauty and wonderful wildlife awaits you. Unwind, destress, relax and breathe, we will take care of you. Enjoy!
“I was indecisive among Wastray and Sanday and decision has been made purely due to ferry time table. Couldn't be better. Johanna's home is big warm and cozy. It's perfect for who loves dogs like me. it's located in the north of the island, in 5 minutes by car you can reach the shop or many of the magnificent white sandy beaches. It's been great meeting Johanna and Jeff and getting to know how a dream of a lifetime of living a simple life in peace has come to reality. Your story and your efforts are remarkable and It's been a pleasure listening to you. Thank you Mauri”
