Holiday rentals with a kayak in Regional Municipality of York

Blu Lake House was a wonderful and spacious setting for our family gathering this Christmas. The views from the living room and back bedrooms over the snowy, frozen lake were magical! The kitchen was very well appointed (one of the best we have encountered!) - we easily had everything we needed to make a Christmas dinner, and more, including large pots, pans and baking trays. The house was very clean, comfortable and homely. Nadia, Gina and Joanne helped us out with a few things over the holiday period, including a replacement kettle, which we really appreciated.

Stayed here for the long weekend to do a few activities in the area and have to say that the space was amazing. Would 100% recommend anyone coming to barrie to come stay here!

This place was wonderful for a large group. We were surprised by the great kitchen appliances that made it easy to prep food, especially the sharp knifes, large cutting board, big counter space, and multiple sinks. Outdoors was a great area to spend time and play on the grass. Enough grass to run around and plan for activities. The bedding was great and all washrooms were very clean. We appreciated the house slippers as well ;) Would come back again!

The hosts Candace & Mark were so kind, responsive and considerate. We really appreciate their efforts to prepare the house in top shape even after there was a storm in the area. The house was spotless clean. Evrything in it was just perfect for our stay. I would like to highlight what we love the most. 1. Our family love to cook and evrything is in the kitchen. All utentils, kitchen needs and cooking stuff is completely available to use. 2. If you love netfix and movie nights, their home system is theater like atmosphere. Not to mention the very comfy couch and also easy to connect with Spotify for some surround music. 3. The outdoors were so private and you have exclusive access to the lake, and do kayaking. You could also do a lot of activities in the yard, it is so nice for badminton and some group games. I highly recommend this place. i have been to other airbnb's but this one top it for cleanliness, comfort and overall experience. 😊🙏

Our family had a great time at this cottage. It has a spacious kitchen that made meal preparation a breeze, and the ample living space was perfect for our group. Its proximity to a nearby marina was a huge plus, as we could easily rent boats and enjoy the water. The hosts were exceptionally welcoming, greeting us upon arrival and remaining responsive to any questions we had throughout our stay. Thank you Gloria!

Great house! The place looks recently remodeled and is very well maintained. Literally on the water. Great place to stay if you are ice fishing. I’d love to come back during the summer to enjoy a beer on the deck/balcony!

Perfect location for ice fishing at Cooks bay, very nice cottage, well equipped . Nice host’s and fast response time. Will definitely be staying there again next year

Recently stayed here for a getaway from the city and, wow this place was great! It was just an 1 hour away, so even though there was a snow storm, getting there was no problem. The cottage was great, a great view of the lake, quality appliances in the kitchen, fully stocked kitchen (we had zero issues with cooking), clean and showers with enough hot water, and a great hot tub. It's rare to find a cottage where there were no issues with anything but this one is definitely one of the rare ones. I would definitely book this again. Weiqi and Shuyan were great hosts. They provided clear and easy instructions for check in, as well as instructions on how to use all the amenities for the cottage. They were also super responsive to the questions and requests we had. A++

the sunrise was breathtaking looking over the frozen lake. the cottage was beautiful and exactly as described. we loved our stay! we had a 5 year old in tow and she had the most amazing time playing in the space. so close to Friday Harbour which is very lovely.

This is a lovely spacious property situated on Lake Simcoe. We've enjoyed being there previously and were thrilled to be back. It is a welcoming and comfortable even for our family of 5 adults. Carol is a terrific host with great communication and enthusiasm.

The place was super amazing, well maintained with beautiful surroundings, nice amenities, a football field just opposite the property. Really worth spending time with friends & family. Would definitely love to go back again and will for sure recommend it to others.

Min was a great host. She answered all of our questions relatively quickly and was very understanding when we checked our late. The house was great, the backyard was gorgeous, the couch was SO comfy, and the amenities and stuff that we could use in the house (ex beach chairs for the beach) were great. One thing to note for people coming to stay here: there is no beach access within walking distance. You have to drive about 15 minutes and parking there is expensive ($10/ hr or max $40 up till 9pm) but if you can park nearby or just don’t mind spending the money then the beach is public and superrrr nice. Within walking distance though there are areas to access the water to paddle board or kayak etc, which Min provided us a key for.

The place was great and with a beautiful lot in the country. A perfect place for a group of a few families with plenty of things to keep kids and teenagers alike busy and entertained.

This place is extraordinary! Beautiful space to be in with a great bit of lake to enjoy. Would highly recommend, and hope to return myself some day.
