Our lake cabin is on a private lake with no public access (Please note, we do not have a boat landing for guests to bring their own boats due to our steep hill). We are near numerous snowmobile/ATV trails, many beautiful lakes, and the Chippewa National Forest. We have 250 feet of lakeshore and over 30 acres of hunting land across County Road 65. Our cabin is on over 4 acres, plenty of room to relax. We have a boathouse, dock, two kayaks, a small boat and motor, and a bonfire chiminea.
“If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing, fun, romantic, cozy place...look no further!!! This was the perfect cabin for it all, and you cannot ask for better hosts!! From the moment we pulled into the driveway, we could tell this was going to be the perfect weekend. Their large wooden swing sits atop a small hill overlooking the lake to the East! We took in the early morning, gorgeous sunrises, as we watched the swans swimming and early morning deer getting a drink, from the serene, still lake. You see all nature, as there are very few other cabins on this lake! We walked into a very well as-situated, welcoming, warm cabin. It felt as though we were walking into our very own place...it has everything you should need/want...just bring your food! (They even had a keurig with several blends of coffee/hot chocolate and some oatmeal mixes!). They have games, movies, great books to read, and a nice, small, wood burning fireplace...lots of seating...just very cozy, comfortable and complete. Cook in the full kitchen or do it all outdoors on their propane grill and eat at the picnic table! Afterwards, a nice fire in their chiminea. They also had 2 kayaks a canoe, and a small fishing boat...for me, this tipped the scales! And you will not regret heading out on the lake to watch the sunset!! Overall, this place was far more than worth it in so many ways, and at a very affordable rate! Karen and Lee were top notch hosts! They were very easy to communicate with, and obviously know what their guests want and need! Thank you two, for sharing your place! We hope to be back again soon!”
Pauls’ Guesthouse is a fully-renovated and newly furnished split level home situated on pristine Big Bass Lake, approximately six miles north of Outing, MN in southeastern Cass County (approximately 150 miles or three hours north of the Twin Cities).
“Paul’s guesthouse was beyond amazing. It’s in a great location and had spectacular views of the lake. It was the perfect place for a quiet getaway. The house is well kept, it has great modern amenities and made us feel right at home. We enjoyed every moment of our time there. Paul is a great host and was quick to respond to any questions I had. We definitely plan to visit during the summer to enjoy the lake! Thanks again Paul for a wonderful and cozy stay.”
Catch the beautiful sunsets at this west facing wonderful family cabin. Fish from the dock. Kayak to a loon's nest.
“This is the second year in a row we’ve stayed here and LOVED it. The hosts are great and even left a bottle of wine and wine glasses for us. Even on a rainy day, there was still plenty to keep entertained in the cabin and town is super close. We have loved our time and look forward to next summer already!”
