Lovely place, clean and peaceful. Jan was there to greet us and she was very helpful. Although we did not cook, the kitchen was fully equipped if we had wanted to. We had a very nice stay.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay (although only 2 nights) we managed to do so much thanks to all the recommendations from the house manual from the hosts as well as previous guests. The cottage and surrounding area did not disappoint, the cottage was spotlessly clean and the hosts had literally thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. The little gift basket was a lovely touch too and very welcome. We did some lovely walks, had some lovely food and saw some great sights but most of all was able to feel so at home and relaxed. Honestly don’t think you could get better! Lovely neighbours and friendly people around the area too, would definitely return. Thank you for a lovely mini break.

I had a truly amazing time here. It was what I needed and more. Denise and her family were kind, accommodating and welcoming. I needed time on my own to integrate after a training and the Shepherds hit was perfect for it. It was cosy and I felt at home. I was able walk to the nearby forest and the sea from there which I loved yet the main road and shops were close too if I needed them. One of the best places and experiences I had and I’ll be back! Cannot recommend highly enough - for a cosy solitary retreat or a great base while exploring the island!

Absolutely beautiful cottage, located in a lovely hamlet with shops and a great pub nearby. The cottage has everything you need, very cosy and comfy beds, loads of parking and the garden is very dog friendly. We will definitely come again
