The Farm Bothy Cottage

One of the best apartments we've ever been. Frances greeted us with a homemade bread and a freshly baked chocolate cake. Both were absolutely delicious. We also got milk in the fridge and some fresh eggs. The whole apartment was extraordinary and we immediately felt like home. Our host was very friendly and quick with answers when we had a question. We highly recommend to stay at Frances's farm.

Off-grid shepherds hut with wood fired hot tub

KateRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We really loved our weekend getaway from the city, so much so that we were very close to asking if we could extend our stay an extra night. It was really peaceful. Idylic surrounds and very private. The woodfired tub and pizza oven were particular highlights. The shepherds hut was tastefully decorated. Possibility of a hot shower if you can heat a couple of kettles of hot water.

Bogancloch Treehouse

I've just arrived back home to my concrete jungle after 5 of the most tranquil days I've had in 30 years of my life. I've done a lot, and seen quite a lot -- but nothing compares to 5 days in and around Jake's property. If the temperature is around 0-5°C I recommend a 4 seasons sleeping bag ~ -4°C comfort rating because I have never slept better in my life. Jake likes to give you as much information as possible about all the possible routes around his home and the walks/views do NOT disappoint. I'd walked the forest for several miles in the first 4 days and Jake was adamant we visited Tap o' Noth on our last day, also - and by god what a view, what an adventure over all. There really is no experience quite like this one if you're looking for a little break from reality in a little slice of heaven. Until next time, Jake. Look after yourself, stay warm, well fed and those fartichokes growing.
