Salamander Chalet

Enjoy the tranquility, the view and the comfort of this stylish chalet. Very suitable as a romantic getaway or to relax in nature with your family. We are at 650 meters altitude, in a hot summer it is always a little cooler than in the valley and with a breeze, very pleasant. At night, it cools down more and it is nice to sleep. We don't need an air conditioner. Dogs are welcome, €15 per stay. For the winter months, there is a wood stove. The firewood is not included in the rent.

In summer you can visit the many Cathar castles including Montségur, Foix, Roquefixade, the medieval town of Mirepoix, Lake Montbel, beautiful caves…

This recently renovated house is set in the middle of a 70-hectare organic wine-growing estate, in the Cathar region and close to Carcasonne. It offers magnificent views of the surrounding vineyards and forests, ideal for walks, with views of the Pyrenees. This house is next to the Belgian owners' central farm, but is entirely private. During your stay, you can enjoy free wine tasting and a tour of the winery.

The studio has a bed-sitting room with comfortable double sofa-bed, folding table and chairs, Wi-Fi and TV (with Netflix), and an adjoining bathroom with shower, basin and w.c. Sliding glass doors open onto your private terrace, with table and chairs for eating outdoors, and sun-deck to relax on.
