“This was my second stay at this property & I can't wait to come back again in the future. The home is beyond what you would imagine. The square footage of the outdoor deck must be more than the home itself. This is just perfect for dining, lounging, and playing games in the gorgeous surroundings. There's tons of comfy outdoor furniture - we even fell asleep on under the stars one night! We loved walking down the private trail to the home's cove on the lake. We took the canoe out everyday (they have lifejackets!) and paddled around to different parts of the lake. There were only a handful of motorized boats/jet skis out on the water during our stay. Just beware of the rocks at the shoreline - if you have water shoes, they'd be very handy to bring. The home has every modern amenity that you could want/need, including a gas BBQ. The only thing it doesn't have is wifi, but this helps you to stay present and enjoy where you are. Verizon coverage was strong, if needed. Tod is a very responsive and hospitable host!”
Welcome to our unique Yurt nestled in the forest on a private property. Perfect for a peaceful getaway. The Yurt has an attached bathroom with a composting toilet, wood and pellet stove, a bed, sofas and yoga mats for your leisure. There is a kitchen with all amenities and an outdoor shower with hot water. You will have access to a magical creek, which you can hear its water stream from the Yurt, private hikes and Rollins Lake with activity gear such a canoe, 2 kayaks and 2 paddle boards.
“This was a PERFECT balance of camping and glamour and I highly suggest it!! a few tips for my mega-planners: Bring your own shower supplies. The shower is wonderful, hot, and like a spa experience outdoor shower. Consider shower shoes as well. The kitchen has the basics, the stove and oven work well, the fridge and freezer are standard- however bring your own spatula, good cooking pan, good knife, spices and cooking supplies. There’s a store about twenty minutes out if you need something. You can use the fire pit to grill, easier if you bring your own. The bathrooms are surprising clean and the one attached to the yurt is easy to use. Bring a headlamp for getting around outside at night if needed. Bring your own fishing lures, knife, pliers if you plan on fishing, the blue gill love worms. Loved canoeing and fishing- it’s mossy so consider surface spinners. The sandbar is SOOO cool, there were people out swimming and having a good time, the water in that area is shallow (also far away so don’t worry about being secluded). Take your swimsuit. This is a yurt, there are spiders and nature’s bugs. The fire was delightful. Ben was Very responsive with any questions I had prior to the trip and when I asked while on the trip. My friends have already checked it out to try to book because the pictures were so scenic~ loved the whole trip!!!!”
Nestled in the foothills of Northern California, an independent Carriage House apartment rests on 14 acres with organic garden and fresh water swimming pond. . Just 7 minutes from I 80/Colfax, 15 minutes from Grass Valley / Nevada City, and 50 minutes from Sacramento Airport.
“This place is so relaxing and special. My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights and we really didn’t want to leave. Katherine and Michelle are wonderful hosts. Fresh flowers from their garden in the room and fresh eggs, delicious! The pond is such a special spot to sit back and relax. Or take a paddle on their kayak. They also had an array of fun floaties and kick boards. There’s a nice sandy beach to lounge in the sun or star gaze at night. The star gazing was spectacular! The property is beautifully landscaped with lots of lavender, lilies, and roses. We loved wandering around and admiring the flowers. They were also very helpful in pointing us on a quick 5 minute drive to a spot on the Bear River and a great recommendation to dinner in Nevada City, only a 20 minute drive away. There’s also a little convenience store just down the road, a 5 minute walk. All in all, super wonderful hosts and an amazing setting. I highly highly recommend staying at the Gaia Tree Farm. We can’t wait to go back, Thank you!!”
