“If you want a quiet rural getaway, then this is the place. The surrounding areas make for some excellent walks if you wish to go off and explore. The accommodation was fantastic, quirky and clean. The bed was the most comfortable we've had whilst using an Airbnb and we couldn't hear a sound from the bedroom. Excellent value and we plan to return when the weather is better to some more exploring. Definitely 5 star”

“This is a fantastic cottage, I fell in love with it the moment we stepped inside. It’s beautifully furnished and everything is of great quality, especially the very comfy bed! The views are amazing. I was a bit worried it would be chilly and also that it might smell of dog, given how many dog owners seem to go, but you would never know. The heating was adequate but there are loads of extra heaters around if you need them. It’s great for kids, plenty of space and the sun room is perfect for grown up chill out time when they’re in bed! We’ll be back!”
Mole Catcher's is a recently renovated cottage with a contemporary twist. The cottage is situated in the heart of the North Pennines, in the village of Allenheads.
“We stayed at the cottage as a short get away for a couple of days. Whilst we were there, it was minus degrees and snowing. We loved going for breakfast at a lil cafe up the road and short walks in the beautiful valley. Before warming up with a pot of tea by the fire.”
