“This cabin is an outstanding place. To begin with, the location could not be better. It’s situated right along the national forest putting 100,000 explorable acres just a walk out the back door. The cabin is also very clean and has everything one could need to feel out there but not quite “roughing it”. Gerald was also very responsive to messages through the app and did not hesitate to offer any help if it was needed, he even had firewood chopped for me and fresh water was provided. This cabin is definitely a must and I know my family and I will be visiting many more times!”
Enjoy a calm and relaxed stay secluded away. This cabin is nestled in the woods with a short walk to Lake St. Helen. 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom. For sleeping we have 2 full beds, 1 queen bed and a couch. Many updates throughout cabin. Many state ORV trails nearby. Ride from the cabin to the trails. Fishing is good on Lake St Helen. Boat rentals available at the marina. Cookout, have a campfire, or head into town to eat. This cabin does not have cable or internet but a tv DVD player are available.
“Quaint space to enjoy a quick weekend trip. We came late in the season so no lake excursions for us. Just a peaceful place in the trees to sit and enjoy time with friends. It was a little motor heavy with chain saws, leaf blowers, and 4 wheelers but since this is a 4-wheeling area, that’s to be expected. The home was just the right space for the 4 of us, more than that may feel a little cramped. There was sleeping space enough for 6 but the living area would be close knit with that many. The house had all the things it needed to. Dishes, coffee, even some condiments. Enjoyed the fire pit. Thanks for sharing your quarters for our weekend away!”
Rustic permalog cabin in the heart of country living. A quick 10 minute drive from Mio in a quaint village of McKinley, this cabin is less than a 1/4 mile from the AuSable River. Close to ATV/ORV, snowmobile and hiking trails. A great location to make your annual hunting or fishing "camp". Several sightseeing options in and around the outlying areas that are worth the drive. Please keep in mind there is very limited cell phone service and no WiFi at the cabin; a great place to disconnect.
“Really enjoyed my stay here”
