Number Sixteen is a small Victorian terrace in the old part of town. Recently refurbished after standing empty, the house has been completely reworked inside to provide a comfortable, up to date home in the centre of Alnwick. The house has a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with bath and separate shower and a large airy double bedroom with super-king size bed. Number Sixteen is a short walk from all amenities (pubs, restaurants, shops, bus station) and from attractions such as Alnwick Castle.

The cottage was previously owned by the Armstrong family owners of Craigside and Bambrugh Castle. In the past its been a post office and a sweet shop. You may want to stay and enjoy the peace & quiet, but we are ideally placed for trips west to the Lake District, east to the magnificent cathedral city of Durham, and north to Hadrian's Wall. This old railway house is situated at the Ulgham Grange Railway crossing within the beautiful Northumberland country side with access to lovely walks straight out the door. We have the pleasure of seeing classic steam engines such as the Royal Scot travelling passed from the comfort of the upstairs bedrooms. Very clean beaches of Cresswell and Druridge bay are easily accessible by car and bicycle.

Built of natural sandstone by Lord Armstrong of the famous Cragside Estates in the 1870's, Ethie Lodge sleeps up to four people in comfort with two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
