Nearby is another architectural gem — picturesque Wade’s Bridge, spanning the River Tay. The elaborate stone bridge features five segmented arches and four obelisks.

The Birks of Aberfeldy

Within easy walking distance of the town centre, the Birks of Aberfeldy include a short, marked trail up the slopes of the Moness gorge and through mixed woodland. Mature birch, oak, elm, and ash trees cocoon the pathways, which eventually lead to the Falls of Moness, where roaring waters cascade over horizontal rock slabs into the burn below.

Cluny House Gardens

A 10-minute drive northeast of Aberfeldy, Cluny House Gardens is a woodland garden on a hillside overlooking the verdant Strathtay Valley. The lush grounds beckon visitors to explore local wildlife and the Japanese, Himalayan, and North American plants that provide stunning seasonal displays throughout the year. Here, you’ll find Tibetan cherry trees, known for their mahogany bark; a soaring giant sequoia; and sorbus berries, rhododendrons, and vibrant blue poppies among the manicured lawns. The Cluny House Gardens are also home to a resident population of red squirrels.
