Oh. My. God. Mary Lou’s place is AMAZING! ... SHE’S amazing! .... it’s all just amazing!

Not all b&b's are as excellent as Mary Lou's Go Lightly; The mattress was superb; the bathroom a pleasure and the ease of access in and out could not be better. Close to the center of a charming town. The price is also affordable.

Mary Lou is a lovely person and a great host. Her house is on a quiet street within walking distance to downtown and the beach which is so convenient. The rooms are filled with beautiful artistic touches. The bedroom and bathroom were top notch and the bed was so comfy, I slept in til 9am! Her 2 dogs and cat are friendly and well behaved. I would definitely recommend Mary Lou's place to anyone staying in the area.

This was an amazing stay. I cannot drag out enough superlatives. My timing was a moving target as I was caught up in a blockade of the railroad q tracks, and Mary Lou was extremely flexible. I ended up spending a night in Toronto that was booked in at Mary Lou's and she graciously permitted me to stay a night longer than originally intended. When I finally was able to arrange a ride home she drove me to the pick up point. I will be going back to Cobourg more often and Mary Lou's will be my first choice for a place to stay.

Clean place with all you need. Friendly hosts who provide so many little extra touches like small carton of milk in fridge, deck of cards and welcome note. They thought of everything. Restaurant recommendation was outstanding.

Great place to stay very clean

We loved the place and how secluded it was. Even though it is in the lower half of the house it sure didn't feel like it with all the windows and the beautiful stone walls. Nicely decorated. The kitchen was fully loaded with everything we needed, and the bathroom was gorgeous with good water pressure. We definitely would recommend this place and would love to stay here again! Thanks Nicole for another great location.

Our stay with Janet and Frank exceeded our expectations. Janet was so accommodating with our requests and went above and beyond the call of duty. This is a beautiful heritage home with modern amenities and a backyard to die for. :) It's also the very first Airbnb that I have stayed at offering a continental breakfast! Plus coffee and tea are available throughout the day. This makes staying here an incredible value. Downtown Cobourg is at your doorstep (it's a quiet town), with the beaches only a few blocks away. Definitely added to my fav list of places.

This is the third time I've stayed at one of Nicole's properties. My experience is always amazing. Nicole is quick to respond to any communication. She is attentive and goes out of her way to create a great experience from checking in to the little extras in the room. This accommodation was made better by the super comfortable bed, the amenities such as tea and coffee along with a great workspace. I will be back!

Nicole's place is great. Its clean and quiet and like a home away from home with lots of little extra touches. This isnt a cookie cutter hotel motel stay. Its in a beautiful historic home within walking distance to all amenities. I will be a return guest for sure.

Paul and Patti were great hosts. They were very warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Their home is lovely and the attention and care they show their guests is wonderful. The bed was very comfortable, and Paul and Patti made sure that any dietary concerns for breakfast were attended to. Our dog, Bingo loved staying here too, and Paul and Patti were very welcoming to him as well. These hosts are great conversationalists, but also respect their guests’ privacy. I would definitely recommend these accommodations to anyone looking for a nice and quiet place to spend a night or two, or even longer. I would not hesitate to stay here again in the future.

Paul made my stay effortless. He was very helpful at check in and ensured I had everything I needed. The room was as pictured and as expected. There was a bit of road noise when I checked in which worried me, but it was silent at night and I slept wonderfully. I woke to the smell of coffee and bacon- a delicious breakfast was being made for me which I really appreciated. Hospitality was wonderful.

We arrived and were greeted by Tony. He welcomes us, gave us a tour and some great advice on the restaurants in town. We loved the space, it was very cozy and comfortable. The spaces are well appointed, and the fireplace is especially nice for a winter night. We were visiting St. Anne's Spa the next day, and it is a short 15-20 minute drive along the 401. Thanks for everything!

This was the absolute best Air BnB I've ever stayed in. I stayed around the holidays and walking into the home was like walking into a Hallmark Christmas movie. It was so incredibly cozy with so many lovely personal festive touches. The fireplace was so nice to sit around and watch the TV. Shelley's husband met me and showed me around the place. It was a larger space than I had expected and was incredibly clean. You can tell they have put a lot of effort into making it stylish and tidy. I didn't end up using the indoor pool, but that is a definite perk as well. There is a restaurant next door and plenty of options to drive to in a matter of minutes. I cannot wait to go back and stay here again. It felt like a home away from home. Definitely recommend during the holidays too to get yourself in the Christmas spirit!

Nice place as always

Our girls getaway was so fun and this place was more than what we expected. We loved the decor and uniqueness of the place, felt comfortable and cozy by the fireplace watching Netflix, and on top of that appreciated the cleanliness and all what was available for us (the coffee was delicious). I'll definitely book again and totally recommend. The tips for restaurants was also on point, we tried a breakfast place that Sue recommended and had a great experience.

Sue’s cozy cottage was a pure delight. Sparkling clean, full of interesting and beautiful things, stocked with everything we needed for a great getaway. Even in the winter, the short walk to the beach was wonderful.

Sue's place is exactly as shown in photos. There has been a successful effort to create a unique ambiance with the right balance of modern convenience and period decor.

This is a terrific place to use as your Cobourg base and getaway. The interior is both cosy and spacious and it's most welcoming.. with lots of nice touches to make it feel like your are escaping.. and not simply "crashing". The Beach/Boardwalk is just steps away and it's an easy walk into the charming downtown. Sue is a wonderful and responsive host.. I can't recommend "Custard Cottage" highly enough.

You will love The Carriage House on King in charming Cobourg! The hosts are warm, friendly and responsive and their place is very modern, clean, private and cozy...with an adorable enclosed yard to cook on the grill or sip some wine by the firepit or by the indoor fireplace if you prefer. Really enjoyed our two night stay and would not hesitate to go back again. It's perfectly situated to easily walk to all the shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants, sights, harbour and waterfront beach areas of Cobourg, yet tucked back off the main street enough to offer a peaceful night's sleep. Parking was right at the door for easy check in and out with trees surrounding the property making it all the more quaint and quiet. The Carriage House on King was a memorable stay!

My wife and I spent two amazing nights at this beautiful country chalet! The leaves were changing colours and the place was absolutely perfect! Alana and Chester (the cat) were amazing! A true super host! Alana made everything about our stay as perfect as could be and Chester was loving all the attention we were giving him. We would love to come back for another stay.

Alana was such a polite and welcoming hostess. She was very helpful and didnt miss a thing when it came to making it feel like home. The house is very clean and has everything you could possibly need. There is plenty of parking and the house is very safe. It was nice to be able to hike and being out in the country. Alana’s home was my two night pit stop while attending Bantam National Qualifiers in Grafton. Her home was very comfortable, clean and provided everything I needed as well as many more amenities I didn’t have the chance to enjoy. Her home is well appointed, tastefully decorated and clean! What a lovely place to stay in Cobourg. We were warmly welcomed by Janet and Frank who are great hosts. It was amazing to stay in this beautiful, tastefully renovated historic home, right downtown in a heritage neighbourhood. Bright and airy, spacious, very clean and comfortable, it had everything we needed. Steps to shops, cafes, restaurants, museums, and a short walk to the ecology garden, marina and beach. Friendly and responsive host. House has a good mix of modern design in a heritage house. Location is very convenient to the main shops, library, museums, and beach.

Janet and Frank were friendly and very attentive. The place was fine, could use additional touch-ups to complete their renovation. The place was nicely decorated; it felt like a summer house. The only actual hooks to hang clothes, etc is at the front door, it would have been nice to include some kind of hanging closet space. We hung our clothes on the molding and stored them in the three drawer organizer. The TV was great, it had Netflix, and we quite enjoyed watching some movies during our stay. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom has a shower stall, and we had to be careful because it could get extremely hot or cold. When we stayed, there was a family staying in the next apartment (of the same house), and they had at least two kids. Every morning we were woken up by their kids running across the floor upstairs, and up and down the stairs. If you are planning to do some work during your stay, I would make sure that the place is quiet. The location was fabulous, less than two minutes from eateries, shops, and a short walk to the beach.

Cobourg Charm lives up to its name. Quaint location just outside the downtown area but absolutely nearby where you can walk into the main square. Helps when you are walking back particularly after a good dinner. The creek area in the backyard is absolutely delightful and adds a lovely charm to the place. Definitely recommend Donna and the Cobourg Charm to future travelers.

Place is sparkling clean and exactly as described. It was a very nice touch to have supplies provided for tea/coffee and toast and a few snacks and fruit as well. Very specious and a perfect place to stay if you are visiting Port Hope!

We have stayed at Paul and Lorraine's place three times recently related to our move to the area. We have been overwhelmed by their gracious hospitality and thoughtful touches. You couldn't ask for better hosts. The suite is spacious, clean, comfortable and in a convenient location.

Cute apartment. The bed was super comfy! A stones throw away from everything you would need. Despite being on top of a retail store, it was very peaceful and felt private.

My stay at Starr's place was what made a crazy situation manageable. I was travelling by train when the tracks we're blockaded and my 3.5 hour trip to Cobourg suddenly took 10.5 hours in a blizzard with me finally arriving at Starr's place at 1 a.m. All the way through, Starr was in touch and making sure I was okay. I arrived to a heavenly comfortable bed waiting for me and an atmosphere of home. Thomas the Terrible, a wonderful kitten, played host and made sure I knew where my toes were at all time, and was the best stress relief I could have. The place was great, Starr is great and I will be back.

She was very kind and accommodating to changes to our check in schedule and even stayed up to help us get set up. Her place has a cute pond with frogs and is close to the beach! Starr offers multiple rooms which isn't apparent upon registration. I have twice now booked 2 rooms with amazingly comfortable sleeping accommodations for 4. My party shared the upstairs while also having the run of the expansive property and enjoying a wonderful homemade breakfast served by Starr. (above and beyond expectations) Starr hasn't seen the last of us.

This is the cutest place. We’ve stayed twice now and couldn’t ask for a better experience. Anita is super responsive and accommodating, just great to deal with. Check-in is so easy. The place is very well cared for, wonderfully decorated and has everything you need. It’s clear they put a lot of love and personal touches into it. I mused several times about how I’d like to just move in and never leave. Having a place which is happy to have dogs is also life changing, though you would never guess it was pet friendly from inside, it’s spotless. We just love this little gem.

The renovation of the upstairs apartment is lovely - old wood floors, exposed brick and a new kitchen. Love the sloping ceilings. The space was perfect for our overnight stay.

This Airbnb was exceptionally cozy, clean and well organized (laminated instructions throughout the Airbnb), not to mention easy access with parking. It had all the amenities necessary and more!! We are retired homeowners and enjoy staying in a place where we feel at home, this Airbnb fulfilled that requirement. As mentioned in previous reviews, there is a train that passes through Cobourg but it can only be heard if you are a light sleeper although it is a no whistle blowing area, just the train passing through, other than that this would not deter us from staying here again. We will be back and would recommend Anita's Upstairs apartment!

Such a cute apartment! It was just what we needed for 1 night as we were visiting my grandfather in hospital 30 mins away. It was nice having coffee/tea available to make in the kitchen. Very relaxing and cozy space. Little trouble with wifi on the TV but Bernard was quick to come upstairs to resolve. The apartment is very close to the train tracks, so if you're a light sleeper, bring/buy ear plugs! We didnt have a dog but noticed a dog park 2 mins walk up the road and a shortbread cookie place!

Was our first stay at an Air BnB. This is a great place to stay. We stayed for a hockey tournament. We talked about maybe returning in the summer. Very close to the beach. Everything thing was spotless. We felt very at home. Maureen is very kind and even suggested a Market for us where we get some soup. I give 100 thumbs up.

I would highly recommend for anyone looking for the comforts of home when away from home to stay here. It has everything you need and close to everything.

Alleben & Courtland are an amazing couple. They made my boys and I feel really welcome and couldn't do enough for us. They checked in on us frequently to make sure we were comfortable and even sorted out an extra mattress for us. Our hosts are fun and interesting and I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them. Location is fantastic, right beside the lake and within walking distance to downtown.

We made a very late last minute reservation and Courtland went out of his way to get the place ready for us. He even greeted us with a beer and a glass of wine for my wife. The place is comfortable and only a short walk from the beech. Highly recommended A+ hosts.

Quiet basement apartment on a street ending at the water. Very clean and easy to access.

Alleben & Courtland are very friendly & hospitable. Apartment was modern, comfortable, clean & quiet. Private backyard space was quite nice, one minute walk to beach is a bonus. Have no problem recommending this space.

Room is huge with private bathroom. We were able to use kitchen and living room which was a bonus. Super clean and nicely decorated. Close drive to downtown Cobourg

My friend and I planned a weekend getaway to Cobourg, mainly for the beach. I did my research and since I was only able to book a few days in advance, it is fortunate I found this gem! Yanling was polite and friendly in her messages, following up to the one night stay. The check-in process and seeing our room briefly before heading out was straightforward and a delight to view! When we returned in the evening, Yanling was welcoming and helpful. She was kind and also mindful of privacy though her company is comforting along with conversation was short and sweet. I truly wished I stayed more than one night so I could enjoy her lovely place! Many thanks to our host, Yanling - if anyone I know is looking for a spot in Cobourg, I have found the person.

Yanling is a gracious host that is easy-going and interesting to talk too! She’s been on adventures around the world. The house is very clean, with a shared kitchen that is fully equipped. Access to the key is accessible via lockbox. The central air was perfect on the hot weekend I was visiting and made for a comfortable sleep in a quiet, private bedroom with ensuite. Fantastic spot in a new and growing subdivision with convenient access to amenities and all the local restaurants and sights within a few minutes drive. The place is new, spotless, well maintained and nicely designed. We made use of all the amenities, from the Keurig coffee maker, new appliances and in-unit laundry. Very comfy queen bed with beautiful linens. There is still some construction ongoing around the unit, but that never interfered with our visit. All communications were great. Check in was super easy even with our late arrival. Perfect for a couple. We spent 8 nights and felt like home away from home. So note there is. Set of 15 stairs (inside) to access the unit but they are new, wide, and unless you have mobility limitations, this is a great place to call home during your visit to Cobourg. Great host. Beautiful place. Thanks for everything.

A great Host, the house was amazing. You feel like you home. Nothing to miss at there. Location was great very quiet and close to all things you need. Downtown was just a few minutes away, supermarket you can walk. I loved to stay there and want to be back soon.

Great Airbnb ... nicest and most accurate to its listing place we have stayed in. Location was perfect, home was immaculate, and it was equipped above and beyond with anything you would need or want. Loved the heated floor in the master bedroom. 100% would stay again and would highly recommend this Airbnb!

Our stay was wonderful! The layout of this house is so well-appointed with uplevel finishes and a cosy, comfortable design. It comes with everything you need to create some really wonderful memories during your stay. Best of all, Nicole is an awesome host!!

More then what I expected! Very clean, well decorated in a nice area for a good price. Both Janet and her husband were easy to get along with and talk to. Whenever we had any questions they were quick with responses. Would defiantly stay here again :)

Janet is an awesome host. Her place was incredibly comfortable and I felt very welcomed! After a long day of biking from Toronto to Cobourg lit was so nice to be able to relax in such a nice place. The complimentary breakfast was great too!

We are actually not good with words but my husband, me and my beautiful dog enjoyed every little thing from the start to the end. The place is amazing (that lake view tho) my dog got to play with Jane’s dogs which that helped Luna a lot, and the most amazing thing it’s that she has a REVIEW NOTEBOOK since 2014 with bunch of excellent reviews. We really hope to be back and now this time we would love to try the breakfast.

Probably the best location of any b & b in the neighbourhood - waterfront and two minutes to the beach and park. A huge backyard overlooking the lake with a very private covered sitting area - could not ask for any better location!
