The Old Bakehouse is a compact but comfortable place to stay - just as listed. Ben and Libby are great hosts and they provide those little extras such as cereals, bread and eggs for breakfast which are particularly welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and the opportunity to explore the area.

We absolutely loved our stay at the old bakehouse, it exceeded our expectations, it is cosy but there is enough space to stretch out, the bed is extremely comfortable and the views from the bed are beautiful. It is really peaceful and we had 2 great nights sleep, we took our small dog with us and Ben and Libby were very accommodating, they provided us with walk suggestions and we went on a lovely walk up the Teign river and the daffodils were out in full force! we had dinner and lunch and two lovely local pubs The Nobody Inn and The Manor Inn - the food was delicious and they allowed our dog Doris in as well :-) All in all I would highly recommend staying in this lovely bakehouse. What a wonderful cottage, set in a beautifully peaceful part of Devon. The cottage had everything we needed and so nice to have some of the basic provisions ready for us on arrival. We spent the weekend walking on Dartmoor, and this cottage was an ideal and cosy base. Thoroughly recommend it.

A warm welcome and beautifully clean. A great location for exploring the nearby woods. Don't expect to cook a big meal as the kitchen is very compact, but it is beautifully clean and well equipped, and we were pleasantly surprised by the nice touches left for us by the hosts.

The bakehouse is a pretty, stylish and comfortable cottage in a beautiful spot with lovely touches and excellent breakfast.

If you’re thinking of staying here, stop thinking and BOOK IT! From the moment I stepped through the door, I felt at home. Such thoughtful touches (Christmas tree, tea/coffee etc. and eggs from the lovey chickens), super clean and so peaceful. The family live next door and although James was on hand to help with anything, there was no intrusion at all, which was perfect. There’s WiFi, a smart tv, the bath is ginormous (honestly, the pictures don’t do it justice!) and the kitchen is well equipped. I wish I could have stayed for longer. It really is a very special little place :)

Great place to stay, we had an amazing time despite awful weather, brilliant location, loads to see and do. The barn is extremely comfortable with everything you could need, plus a bit of luxury here and there.

This is an absolutely beautiful home! The bedrooms are spacious, the bathrooms are sparkling clean and the decor is just perfect for this house - it really feels like a home. The internet was fantastic and all 8 of us had no troubles surfing the internet etc. There are shops within a 10 minute drive and we went on some stunning walks, all of which were within 30 mins of the cottage! 10/10 must recommend!

We had a great time at Miho's place. Miho and her husband were very nice and we really enjoyed Dartmoor park and the surrounding area.

Miho and Peter are great hosts and Berrymoor is in a wonderful location, right on the edge of the moor and with the most stunning views. Widecombe is just a five minute drive away and has two great pubs, and Haytor and Hound Tor are also close by (plus many other smaller tors besides), which are great fun to scramble up. Recommend the Ullacombe Farm Shop and cafe between Haytor and Bovey Tracy - great for breakfast on check out day! The National Trust’s Parke Estate just outside Bovey also had a nice-looking cafe - sadly we were just too late to try it out; it closes at 4pm during the winter season. We hope very much to return to Berrywood in the future. Many thanks for your hospitality Miho and Peter (... not forgetting Rusty the cat!)

We were very comfortable at Berrywood for the 9 nights we stayed in mid October. It was lovely and warm to come back to at the end of a day’s walking on beautiful Dartmoor, especially if we had got caught in a rain shower, which you do get a few of! It is perfectly situated, high up to take advantage of the beautiful views across the valley towards Top Tor. You can walk straight out onto the Moor - go up behind the cottage, to Wind Tor and then on and on for miles across beautiful moorland. You can also walk over the Moor to Widecombe to the pubs or cafes. When we arrived Miho had left some lovely extras for us, a sweet treat after the journey, breakfast cereals, bread, butter, milk and eggs. There were also teabags and ground coffee in the well equipped kitchen. The fresh flowers were a lovely touch. The shower in the bathroom is very good and there is always lots of hot water. Peter and Miho are excellent hosts, very welcoming, with extensive knowledge of the Moor and gave us lots of tips and advice on good places to walk if we needed it. And we enjoyed a special evening with them at a music event in the next village. In the cottage there is also a vast library of maps and literature to help plan your stay. I must just mention the stunning views from the main bedroom window. Always changing with the weather, it was so relaxing to drink a cup of tea and watch the landscape changing beneath the amazing skies. Thank you Miho and Peter!

All five-star ratings are rather unpleasant, but Berrywood Cottage and Miho's hospitality were just right. A trip to Dartmoor, which has always been a dream, became the best memory. I'm really thankful to you! I would like to revisit again.

The morning and evening views from the large windows in the bedroom are the best whether it is cloudy or sunny. The view of the nomadic sheep and the hail is also fantastic. The kitchen was complete and I wanted to cook using the oven if I had time. Personally, the point is that there are a lot of towels! It was really helpful to have the laundry serviced! !

A lovely cottage with stunning views. We were welcomed warmly by the host on arrival and shown very graciously around and informed of where everything was. The host also left some very tasty treats for us in the kitchen.

This is a very comfortable cottage in an amazing location. Miho and Peter were very kind and careful hosts and we felt very much at home as soon as we arrived. There were generous provisions for breakfast and the house had everything we needed for our stay.

What a find! A great little place in the middle of Dartmoor to get away from it all and a great base for good hikes in the local area. This was a great Airbnb! Sophie was an amazing host! We even ended up going to the pub for trivia. The bread and butter were great. Just an FYI- there aren’t any general stores nearby so if there is something you want, bring it with you. Beautiful location right in the heart of Dartmoor though.

A wonderful place, with a wonderful host in a wonderful location, really can't praise it enough! Sophie is thoughtful and attentive, even making us fresh bread for when we arrived and giving us eggs straight from the chickens which roam the garden (thanks Sophie!). The annex is clean, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay, and located about 400m from Hound Tor is in a pretty spectacular location. Would recommend to anyone, and will definitely be coming back! Also if you do book here (which I highly recommend), make sure you play the Dartmoor board game in the annex, we did on a whim and it was one of the best boardgames we've ever played, a great way to spend an evening.

Really pretty hut, convenient location for walking on the moors.

It was a February weekend of changeable weather and we needed welly boots to get to the Shepherd’s Hut but once there... wow! A clean, beautifully presented interior with all mod cons including wifi, hot water, shower and a lovely wood-burning fire.

Had some amazing time there, even though it was raining non-stop. It is very quiet, very relaxing. The hut is not big, but all the facilities are great. Even the bed is quite comfortable. We did experienced some bad luck with the shower, but Philip tried his best to help us. So thank you, Philip! I would definitely suggest the guests to be prepared of the mud. Rain boots is essential! 😉

A lovely cosy hut in a great location, walks and pubs near by. Went in winter and it was lovely and warm, would be even better in the summer with the little outdoor seating area. Highly recommend.

Amazing location. Away from it all. Unfortunately it rained when we were there but it would make a great stay with bonfire and BBQ outside overlooking a lake. Very romantic

Lovely spot for reflection

Great little place in a lovely peaceful location. Kitchen had everything you needed, I brought along my own frying pan as I usually do to air bnb’s but there was no need to. The fire was great and kept the place really warm. Highlight of our trip was walking to the ring of bells pub for dinner one evening - the food is great and very reasonably priced. They do a nice draft ale too! Only thing I could fault is that there was only one loo roll provided, but I did bring a spare one along as I had read some of the previous reviews mentioning this! Overall a lovely stay and a great setting for a peaceful New Year’s Eve.

Roger's annexe is a wonderful little space, with parking and amenities. Easy to access, private, good parking and in a quiet neighbourhood. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

Lovely little anex... kitchen very well equipped (includes washing machine and dryer), bedroom/living room very spacious in practice, and all we needed was provided. Excellent value, and couldn't ask for more. Never actually saw hosts... we kept missing each other... but communication by text was great, so no problem at all :-).

This accommodation is well cared for and very comfortable. The host has made everything as easy as possible and been very thoughtful in her provisions. Good value and I would most definitely stay again.

I had a lovely stay with Jude. The accommodation was quiet and comfortable and I found it more spacious than I had expected. It was handy to have a big fridge and microwave as I’d gone fully stocked with food for the week (I was on a six day course nearby). Jude had put some bits and pieces in the fridge and there was tea, coffee and hot chocolate that she’d made available, amongst other things. The sofa is comfy to snuggle on in front of the tv and it was handy to having the little dining table and chairs. The bathroom is just outside the bedroom door and is for private use so it’s near enough en-suite. Thanks so much for being a welcoming host, Jude. :-)

Jude’s place was very well located, close to the centre of town. There was outstanding hospitality, food in the fridge for breakfast and a microwave and kettle in the room.

What a delight to meet Jules, my husband was spoilt with a pint if real ale when we arrived back after being out. Such a relaxing place with views out the back into the woods. Everything was clean and inviting. We also had breakfast provided each morning.

I had a great stay in 'The West Wing'. The accommodation was bigger than I expected and was spotlessly clean. The location is great - very quiet and surrounded by scenic countryside. The bed was very comfy and I slept soundly every night. Jules and Ken are friendly hosts who have the right balance of being on hand if you need them, but also give you space and privacy to relax. There were other nice touches too, such as the bird feeder out side, the buffet style breakfast and also a lovely pint of local real ale which Jules brought around one evening! I would highly recommend the West Wing and will be going back again I'm sure.

We had a wonderful time. Jules and Ken were amazing hosts and very generous with their hospitality. The West Wing was a lovely secluded property away from it all. Just what we wanted. We can’t wait to return.

Excellent value, fantastic position next to all amenities. Fast broadband and Netflix - a must for teenagers - and a very welcome bottle of Prosecco waiting for the grownups! Lovely cottage, close to Dartmoor and lots of things in Bovey Tracey to do with children. Will stay here again.

This apartment was very comfortable and thoughtfully organised. It was clean and all necessary amenities provided. Felt tlike home.

A confortable house, well located to discover Devon and Dartmoor. Crag cottage is also a house where you feel that people are living (that changes from other places, confortable but impersonnal). Having all shops in the street next to the house is also a very good point. As we were 5, having 2 bathrooms & toilets was appreciated. We'll come back !

The Jones’ were so hospitable - catering to our vegetarian diet for breakfast (and lack of preparation). The granary cottage was beautiful, cosy and clean. They even gave us a lift to the train station in the morning - despite all the b***** pot holes!! Will definitely be returning :).

Tim and Linda's flat was absolutely perfect. It was comfy, warm and cosy with so many little extras that we weren't expecting. We were severly delayed checking in due to storm Dennis and Tim was still friendly and welcoming at 10.30pm. Giving us a full show around the flat and making sure we were settled in. They provide everything you could possibly need and a great range of food for breakfast, including eggs from their chickens! Fab stay!

This is a great local experience. The location is very rural, set down country roads. The little apartment is quaint and clean. The host supplied ingredients for breakfast, including eggs from their own chickens. Highly recommended.

Everything about this place is just perfect. We were treated to a very warm and personal welcome from the host Tim, who showed us around the apartment and settled us in. This was the best stocked place we have ever stayed in, it was full of thoughtful touches and wonderful breakfast supplies.

Upon my arrival I was greeted with a very warm welcome by Tim and Linda who showed me around the cottage. I was genuinely impressed by their hospitality and attention paid to detail, they have thought of everything to make you feel at home and provide you with a comfortable stay. Many food items were provided including bread, butter, sausages, bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans, milk, cereal, tea, coffee and other cooking essentials. Located in a peaceful and picturesque spot on the edge of the moors, Tim and Linda’s cottage is excellent value and a perfect base for exploring the surrounding area, I would definitely stay here again! :-)

We booked for my in-laws to stay at for four nights with their dog. They really liked the views, the log burner and found it nice and clean. An enjoyable stay - if not a little muddy due to recent very bad weather!

We had a lovely stay at Jules' place. Jules was away during our visit but kept in touch via email and Thai was a wonderful host (the plums and milk on arrival were very thoughtful touches!). The cottage is lovely and quaint and was the perfect size for us. The location was also perfect for exploring Devon and for our course at Ashburton cookery school which is less than 10 minutes drive away. We look forward to coming back!

A lovely cabin in a wonderfully peaceful location. Surrounded by trees, with views out to Dartmoor, the setting is idyllic. We especially enjoyed being so close to the moor while also being a short drive away from the sea. Highly recommended.

Comfortable and peaceful place to visit the area

The location of the Roadhouse is a small haven of peace, both secluded and well-placed for exploring the beautiful Dartmoor Park, Exeter and the entire coast. The indications and the very nice welcome from Jules were perfect. The house itself is really cute and has everything you need for a successful stay. Our dog has also enjoyed the small garden. I recommend very warmly!

Jules place is in a really tranquil area, away from the hustle and bustle of the city but still within a 20 minute drive to the beautiful coast (Torquay). Her hospitality was outstanding, little touches around the log cabin really added to the overall experience (clean towels, bed sheets, milk in the fridge upon arrival, utensils all ready, loo roll in the toilet and on the shelves, a halogen heater and TV... I could go on), this made the arrival homely and settled from the get go. The surrounding area is stunning, surrounded by fields and meadow, my family loved it and my little Robyn got to see the Robins come and perch themselves on the picket fence outside in the sunshine. You will wake up, hearing the peaceful hum of crickets and chirping of birds, in a spacious log cabin away from people and stress in a beautiful meadow full of wildlife and nature. It was so lovely to have a nice break and everything was thoroughly explained to us beforehand, the host was lovely and communication was fast and reliable. I highly recommend this as a break, great value for money and you will have the entire space to yourself! X

I didn't know what to expect from an Airbnb, as this was my first time. I'm so glad that I eventually chose Kate's to stay at. I was here for the whole month, and I must say, that it felt like home from home. The room was more than big enough for me, with ample storage and hanging space. Kate and Stuart couldn't do enough for me to make my stay enjoyable.

I had a great stay at Kate's place, she was the perfect host and very welcoming. The room is very cosy and the bathroom very modern, both very clean and as described. The location was also great, right in the center of Bovey Tracey. Overall, I highly recommend her place!

Beautiful, peaceful setting in the teign valley and very handy for Exeter. Directions were easy to follow down the narrow Devon lanes. The room was warm, spotless and extremely comfortable.

We absolutely loved the Apple Cottage. Julie and Peter were so friendly and kind to us. The place was very clean and had everything you'd need. We are definately planning to come back to the farm :-)

We had the most amazing overnight stay here...the photos don't do the place justice! It was bigger than we expected, and every part of it was absolutely stunning. It was spotlessly clean, had a well equipped kitchen, and was in a great position (close to Exeter for shopping, and in beautiful land which we would have explored had it been less stormy!). Julie was so hospitable despite our late arrival, and made us feel very welcome. We would 100% recommend it, and hope to go back again soon!

With Lena and Andrew you can expect a real home from home. The facilities are exactly as described and both are very accommodating. The house is spotlessly clean and the bed is to die for. It's so very comfortable and cosy. Lena and Andrew are so very kind, welcoming and their local knowledge of the areas surrounding Chudleigh are second to none. I'd recommend staying with Lena and Andrew. I'll certainly be going back.

This cosy place has to be my most favourite place I've ever stayed in. They are so friendly and welcoming and went out of their way to accommodate us. They accepted my dog Harley as another family member. The place is immaculate and stunningly decorated it is a slice of heaven. Can't wait to have an excuse to stay again xx

Lena's house is one of the best you will find in the area. Lovely friendly arrival with coffee and biscuits. Quiet comfy room and lovely cosy home with breakfast. A hidden gem. Will be using again.

My partner and I stayed at Lena's for one night as we attended a wedding near by, Lena was the prefect host. The cottage is gorgeous as is the garden. The space was immaculately clean and the bed was so comfortable. Would recommend this place in a heartbeat. Thank you Lena for your hospitality.

Very clean and well equipped space. Had everything needed for a few days in Newton Abbot with some good extra touches. Martyn was very efficient and helpful in communications.

Roy was an excellent host, his communication was first class and informative. The listing is accurate and the place was spotless. Comfortable bed and interesting train related memorabilia. The Station Master’s is an adorable little hideaway that’s perfect for a weekend getaway. Everything is within walking distance in Ashburton and it was so nice to come back to the comfy “fire” after a day out. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a Devon getaway.

Since discovering AirBnB about 5years ago, we have never stayed in a hotel. Getting to meet people, sharing their home and getting local tips from a local are all much higher up on our list. Every now and then we have a trip that stands out from the rest and Kate's place was that. She offered for us to have our own privacy or to spend time getting to know her. The space we had was huge and very well requipped. Nature aplenty on the doorstep and a brilliant pub within walking distance. Hope to visit again soon. Thanks for making us feel so welcome.

An absolutely perfect stay - perfect host, perfect setting, perfect space. We really couldn't have asked for more and are hoping to stay with Kate again in the future. She was so incredibly accommodating and patient when we arrived much later than anticipated. Her dogs and cat are absolutely gorgeous too! <3 <3 <3

Lovely stylish studio - perfect for two and in a gorgeous setting with a view of woodland. Great location for exploring dartmoor. We also really appreciated the homemade cake on arrival. Would thoroughly recommend and we hope to stay again.

We think you will find that Alison's place is a magical place to stay and visit, the hosts are lovely people who are helpful and attentive to your needs. The mince pies and Christmas feel to the accommodation were a real treat too.

Nice cozy studio. Exactly what we wanted

We loved our brief stay here. The studio was so cosy and warm on our arrival and we really enjoyed the cake. It had all the amenities we could have needed. The surrounding woodland was beautiful. We're sorry we couldn't stay longer.

We had a wonderful stay here, really helpful directions, and thoughtful touches in the Studio made it a lovely, cosy stay. Our dog enjoyed the setting too: being able to explore the beautiful grounds was great! Highly recommended!

We stayed at The Studio while in the area for a wedding. Lovely little place but sadly spent very little time in it. Alison and Pam were great and very responsive. I'd recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay despite it raining the whole time - The covered area outside the door was very handy! We were also very cosy when inside! It was lovely to arrive to a delicious home made cake and the hosts were on hand for anything we needed. Our dog enjoyed the woodland at the property and we also visited Parke (NT) and did a woodland walk by Steps bridge. Thanks for a lovely stay!

The apartment itself is absolutely lovely, tastefully decorated, spotless throughout, well cared for and has countless additional thoughtful touches to make your stay enjoyable from a welcome basket with some nice nibbles and hot drink sachets, to a bird book and binoculars on the window ledge - there's too many to list. The kitchen is fully equipped if you wanted to cook your meals in the apartment - there's even a slow cooker. The apartment is situated at the back of a small, quite housing development and is within easy walking distance of the shops, bars and restaurants that Moretonhampstead has to offer. Our host was very helpful and responded to any enquiries in a timely manner, providing as much help and information as she could. I could not recommend this apartment or it's host highly enough.

A Home from Home experience.

The flat was just what we were looking for. Cosy and warm, spotlessly clean, and very well equipped. Excellent communication before we arrived and lots of helpful information about the flat and local amenities. The bed was comfortable and the provision of Sky and Netflix was a great bonus. Also good to be able to park right outside the door. From the flat you can walk easily into the town which has a supermarket, butcher, Post Office, cafes, etc. We definitely hope to return for another weekend in 2020.

What a lovely place! The house was very spacious and located in a quiet part of town within walking distance of Bovey Tracey. Kathleen was very accommodating and a superb host.

Outstanding!! What can we say - we absolutely LOVED staying at Kathleen's house and will definitely be back next time we visit the area. The bed was so comfy and the room was stylish with lovely Victorian features and a modern bathroom. So peaceful and relaxing - it was lovely to just admire the view of Dartmoor from the window with nothing but the sound of birds. Absolutely lovely house and extremely clean would definitely stay there again

We had a great stay at James’ place. The house was all newly fitted out and the space was really well done as well as being spacious and very clean. The space is even better than it looks in the pictures. We appreciated coffee, chocolates and other goodies being left too! The location was great as we were 5 minutes walk away from the local park and playground for our toddler as well as the local shops. We visited nearby Dartmoor and Totnes as well as the House of Marbles whilst seeing family in the area. There is tons to see and do and there are many great things for families in the area. Also Cafe 360 2 minutes away deserves a mention as a great stylish spot for brunch and coffee where our little one could play in a special play area.

This house is in a great location in the lovely village of Bovey Tracey on the edge of Dartmoor. Very short walking distance to the village. Great working right at the door. The house was sparkling clean and the kitchen was well stocked. We very much appreciated the Christmas decorations and treats. A great place to stay!

Clean accommodation and ideally located for the town.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this house. The house is clean and well kept. The parking is right behind the house with an easy access to the house. There are parks and amenities nearby within walking distance. Although the road to access the house from the highway is dark at night, it will be lighted up once your reach the housing area.

We really enjoyed our stay in Bovey Tracey. The instructions for accessing the property were really clear, the house was lovely and clean, the kitchen well equipped and the biscuits/tea/coffee and essential supplies in the kitchen were really thoughtful. The location was also great with everything we needed on the doorstep within walking distance and lots to do in the area. Would definitely recommend.

Great place to stay. Very easy to find and very easy to communicate with the host who provided excellent tips about the area and welcomed us with tea and biscuits. The place was clean and welcoming and easy to stay in. Easy to cook in the kitchen, plenty of space to keep your things and feel at home. The area is really great too-co op nearby as well as a great coffee shop/cafe. We loved it and highly recommend this spot.

I Stayed at Helen’s cosy little place whilst I attended the Ashburton cookery school which was super close and only a fairly short walk into town, too. The space was immaculate and warm, it suited my every need and the bed was comfy! I especially enjoyed that Helen had left fresh milk, orange juice, breakfast cereals, fruit and more which was a lovely touch. I Would definitely recommend and would stay again if I return to the school :)

Lovely Annexe and ideal stay for Dartmoor and surrounding areas

The annexe is exactly as described. There are great little touches like washing up liquid, scouters, shampoo etc - bits towards breakfast & a bowl of fruit a Real bonus. Couldn’t fault it & hope to visit again soon.

The pictures do not give this cottage any justice! It is outstandingly beautiful, with the scenery outside and the cosy, comfortable atmosphere inside. We truly recommended trying this cottage, I agree with a lot of the previous reviews, I wish we had booked to stay longer. I got a severe case of the holiday blues waking up on that last morning. We too would recommend the Nobody Inn pub, fantastic service and the food was delicious. Very fortunate we found this cottage, I am hoping that we can book this up again and again.

West Walk Cottage is everything a couple (& dog) could possible need for a relaxing country retreat. Tastefully appointed, with beautiful artwork hanging on every wall, it's country chic with London amenities. We loved: the wood burner, the fully-kitted out kitchen, the light dining area, the bed (super soft & comfy) and the greenery just a step outside for the dog. The cottage is picture-perfect, not a detail has been missed and it's in the best location on the edge of Dartmoor. The weather was mostly wet, so we made the most of the fire and pubs. You HAVE to visit The Nobody (10mins drive) they do a great lunch and dinner - and it's dog friendly. Thanks again for a wonderful break from real life. We will absolutely be back in summer for wild swimming and walks!

This wonderful cottage was perfect for the weekend escape we were seeking. Full of character, it has been modernised to a very high standard, whilst retaining its charm. Great location - a peaceful and scenic ‘away from it all’ feel but still accessible. Loved it!

Unbelievable value. The host mark was brilliant. We only requested to stay late on the day of arrival and he managed to clean the whole place and change all bedding. This is literally a 3 bedroom house with everything. 5 star
