Barbara is a star. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel like we were celebrities. We had cycled a long way and were tired. Barbara's husband booked us a table in an excellent restaurant and even drove us there! Their house is immaculately finished and beautifully furnished. The pool is fantastic. It's hard to imagine how it could be improved.

Wow, what a wonderful stay at Cascina Madonnina! My husband and I enjoyed two nights in the beautiful yellow room and wish we could have stayed longer, this was the nicest place we stayed on our whole 3 week trip. Barbara's entire estate is picture perfect, impeccably decorated, and very relaxing. There is so much space to relax all throughout the guesthouse and the pool area. The pool was beautiful and so nice to spend the day by. Barbara and her husband were wonderful, gracious hosts and were very helpful and friendly. We hope to be back someday and recommend their beautiful home 100%!

A simply wonderful property in a quiet and secluded area on the outskirts of the pretty village of Trisobbio. Barbara is the most fantastic and attentive host and made sure to help out at every opportunity. The whole family (my wife &I plus children ages 3 and 1) simply loved staying here. The pool is stunningly beautiful and the entire property is kept to an impeccably high standard. Overall an absolutely fantastic stay with the most lovely hosts you could ever wish for.

If you look for at place that is situated in both nice and quite surroundings, is warm and friendly hosted and you appreciate aesthetic and high quality furnishing, the Cascina Madonnina is just the right place to choose! We spent 5 nights at this really nice and very clean place of Barbara and Fidele. From our arrival and all the way through to our departure, we sensed their true engagement in us as guests and the will to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Even when we were in need of a doctor, Barbara was so kind and helped us out. And then there is the housing! It is obvious that Barbara is a very skilled interior architect - no detail slips her eye - and one sees that they have put a lot of effort in creating this beautiful place. The place fully lives up to the pictures in the presentation - and we especially loved the nice pool area, which was perfect for hanging out all through the day! We have already recommended this place to our family and friends in Denmark - and hope that we get the chance to return for another relaxing stay.

We really got a warm welcome by Viktoria and Bruno! They showed us around and even introduced us to the local community. The house was very pleasant, every day we ate outside (we even saw some deers twice and 1 squirrel around the house). Inside it was a nice temperature. Especially for the children (9, 6, 4 years old) it was a very nice place because they could play with all the toys around. Also the swimmingpool in Trisobbio (5 minutes drive) is also a plus for family with kids. We also went to the beach and visited Torino and Genova, so it is a central point to explore Piemonte. And there is very good wine! Also it is good starting point for cycling. We really recommend a visit to the "yellow house" near Montaldo Bormida! Corine & Bert, Utrecht, Holland

This was our second stay at Bruno and Victoria’s house. They are superb hosts, providing useful suggestions from before the trips commenced. The house and the setting exceeded our expectations, it is a home that has been decorated and maintained with love and care. All the necessary appliances were there to cook the food of the region, including a very useful BBQ. Our most fond memories are of the setting: the views of Alps in the distance, the lush vineyards and abundant vegetation. The chaise longue and hammock came in very handy to sip the local Dolcetto and admire the sunsets. We enjoyed engaging in the sporty pursuits by making use of bikes, the nearby tennis courts and walks. The local swimming pool is an added bonus, especially if you are travelling with children. Bruno and Victoria were always available as the points of contact, have made reservations for us at wonderful restaurants, as well as introductions to the local butcher, grocer and baker. For a couple that is well travelled, we found this place a haven of tranquillity and enjoyed eating the produce of the land in the countryside filled with rich history as manifested by stunning castles. We can’t wait to return to Montaldo for yet another time!

We went with family to Federico for a long weekend. We were very well received by Federico and his parents who live in a house nearby. They were very available while allowing us our tranquility. The house is very nice and quiet. Two minutes there is a large playground for children. Genoa is nearby and it also has many places for agrotourism. The area is really nice. We look forward to come back to Federico.

My experience as a single traveler and 'was very nice, the place surrounded by green hills transmits great tranquility and relaxation (look at the starry sky lying on a hammock in the company of crickets do not happen every day for those arriving from the cities'). Alice and Simona have that approach light and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel among friends in their farmhouse which still conserves the typical rural image of the place.

We have not had the pleasure of meeting alice but his brother, very welcoming, speaking French, and very accommodating! Country house with the setting and the comfort that goes, short stay but enjoyable. I recommend!!

Andrea was a very helpful host, showing great hospitality, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The apartment is very nice, clean, well equipped and very pleasant. It is located in a medieval Italian village. We felt immediately at home comfortably. In short we had a great week of vacation in a beautiful and historic wine region near the coast, the large cities of Piedmont and Lake Maggiore (less than 1:30). We can only recommend this ad! Andrea has-been a great host to us, very welcoming and available. The apartment is Located in the attic de son relatives house, as His Family HAS Remained in the town for the past 500 years. It has-been totally Renewed and modernly refurbished. We felt at home from the first night and really enjoyed it. The location is great, in the vineyard area of Alto Monferrato, full of historical villages and not far from the main touristical spots west of northern Italy Including Genova and the Ligurian Coast, Torino, Milan and the great Lake Maggiore. We can only recommend the stay there.

Everything was perfect. Andrea was an amazing host, always kind and helpful to answer to any request. Apartment was perfect, bright and clean, provided with all comforts, a complete kitchen with all appliances, a comfortable bathroom with a big shower, heating system, TV and WiFi internet. Trisobbio is really the perfect place to spend some days in total peace and calm, perfectly located to reach Ligurian seaside or Piedmont cities. Andrea's mother prepared an amazing homemade apple cake that was a nice surprise. I would highly recommend Andrea's apartment to anyone!

When we arrived we were greeted very friendly by his mother and become familiar with the details of the apartment. She had baked cakes for us; delicious! The apartment is exactly the images on the Internet. The location of the apartment is an ideal starting point for hikes in the area and those wishing to explore the wider area. For us it was simply a piece of total relaxation in a simple historical surroundings with peace and good air. On the last evening we were invited to Andrea, where they had a great end to our trip.

The contact with the host ran super easy. Within minutes I had of Andrea already an answer. Also during the weeks before the holiday we received useful information about our resort. On the day of arrival and everything went smoothly. Andrea was immediately reachable by phone and gave us on the trip a few more useful information. Upon arrival we were welcomed in Trisobbio equal. Andrea showed us everything, including all parking. Was nice that us his mother had prepared a cake to welcome. The apartment is exactly the uploaded pictures here. The apartment is well equipped and you will find everything you need for the first few days on site or Andrea has these things already prepared for the guests (toilet paper, soap, olive oil, vinegar, spices, water, etc.). The place is extremely quiet. If you like party, has been driving a bit. I was there to relax and this was just perfect. Is expected to arrive by public transport but be very time consuming and is not recommended in my view. Also during your stay, Andrea has reported regularly and asked if everything was okay or if anything is missing. He also gave us tips again what had just known in the area. The delivery of the apartment was very simple - we only had to deposit the keys. To sum corresponded to the holiday expectations, namely those on which you have been pleased. Once again a big thank you to Andrea.

If you want to feel like a local living in a small but modern Italian village it's a place for you. Church bells at 07:30, cuckoo at evening, dogs barking, nice castle available for public visit from 8 am till 10 pm. The apartments themselves are extraordinary, very comfortable, spacey, cozy, full of equipment. Andrea's mother met us with a very tasty home-made cake. There is an air conditioner that we didn't use because of comfortable temperature at evenings. There is a small grocery shop, bar, restaurant, pizzeria inside the village. There is a place for rest 5 minutes walk from the house: 7 euro per day with 4 pools, works till 7 pm. No problem with a car parking at all. Highly recommended for family and individual rest. Andrea was available by (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN), his mother lives in a house near the apt.

Our stay at the B&B was great! It was better than we could have imagined. Barbara and her husband are the perfect hosts: they made us feel right at home, gave us great advice on what to do in the region f.e. wineries, restaurants, the beach, walks, etc. Nice breakfast with products from the region. We stayed in the pink room, which was cosy, roomy and very clean and luxurious. Wonderful pool. Overall a great place to relax, enjoying the Italian landscape and culture. Thumbs up!

Certainly a luxurious setting for a family weekend which was to be based ... When we arrived on Friday 19 August at 18:30: the "pink room" is not ready! To clear himself, Mrs Guetta offers us the "yellow room" more spacious, we accept. At the pool, Ms. us blame on the water that overflowed around the pool: my husband plunged dan an infinity pool and our son swim the crawl by splashing too! Mrs. joined us in the pool and asked our 14 year old son who is "very dynamic" and strong to be careful not to break anything. On our return in the "yellow room", we turn on the television and find a nice impact due to a shock on the upper right, visible when the TV is off ... And then the suspicion is installed. Of course, no direct accusations but this enigmatic sentence coated smiles: "I can say that I tried television before arriving but I did not, I will not say such a thing." ??????? Lady seems to places to miss anything and we understand their legitimate demand for repayment of a damaged television but it would address the real culprits. one positive point: Reservation and advice on Antico torchio restaurant where the atmosphere is simple and authentic (5 stars for evaluation). Oh I forgot one small detail among others: twice we left our room at 21h and 23h when we get the windows and shutters of our room are closed ...

Great place! fantastic! We spent 4 idyllic days at BnB Cascina Madonnina. The pool is very nice, the pink room very spacious and has a lovely view of Trisobio and the beautiful garden. I was in house of Barbara to celebrate the anniversary with my girlfriend and it was for us like a second mother, nevertheless never intrusive, never too much. In short: we thought we were going to find a distant aunt, not to enter the house of a stranger for the first time. Breakfast is UP-TO-BA: fruit from their trees, cakes and fresh bread, croissants, jams, eggs, care for every need, and an external deor in which consume the fresh and relaxing meals. The pool is perhaps the most beautiful and cared for than in the photos, definitely better than that of many star-rated hotels where I stayed, even has a fridge filled with soft drinks and spirits, which acts as a refrigerator for guests. The rooms (yes I did the full tour :)) have a more polished than the other and speaking in mq2 are like mini apartments! Short cut: I could not be more happy and surprised about this experience in the Monferrato, and a good chunk of credit goes certainly to Barbara, to its beautiful house, and his skill in making as host. It was a great stay We were greeted very well by her mother and cousin of Andrea with a beautiful apple pie and with a big smile. The apartment 'exactly as described by Andrea. And 'comfortable functional and clean. We were immediately at ease. Trisobbio and 'a place distinctive, attractive and quiet. And ache very convenient for visiting the cities' most important in Piedmont Near Trisobbio you can buy genuine local products like cheeses meats and wines directly from producers. I conclude by saying that everything worked out for the better thanks to the kindness and ability 'organizational Andrea and family

Welcome and good housing Definitely recommended

My wife and I spent an unforgettable 2 months in Andrea's apartment in Trisobbio. It was an absolute pleasure to meet two wonderful people, our host Andrea and his dear mum Emma who provided us with many wonderful goodies including her famous and delicious apple torta. You could not meet two more hospitable and kind people. We had the apartment in the middle level ( second floor). The stairs were no problem at all. For a longer stay we would recommend this apartment. It is well equipped, very spacious, spotlessly clean and has wonderful views. The village of Trisobbio is a gem. It is a small village but with loads of character and lovely people. If you want to experience the real Italy then Trisobbio is the place for you. It is close to dozens of equally qqquaint hilltop villages that are within a 15 km radius. But a car is essential. We frequented Ovada for our big shopping . Bennet is the place to go. It has everything. Trisobbio has a lovely cafe/bar run by the hard working Gino and there is a lovely bakery which also sells cold meats and some grocery items. The pizzeria run by Cipriano (Torchio Antico) is a must. Superb food and very reasonably priced. In fact we found everything to be reasonably priced in Trisobbio and surrounds. In Ovada the twice weekly markets are a must see and you can buy fresh fruit and vegetables as well as clothing and general items. Near the markets is a family run restaraunt called La Grotta di Barbanera (Via San Sebastiano). It does an amazing 2 course lunch with choices plus contorni (sides) plus wine or water for 10 euro!! We went many times. As mentioned earlier there are many wonderful villages nearby that are worth exploring. Including Acqui Terme, Cremolino, Gavi etc etc. We visited 2 cantinas where you can taste before you buy...for around 3.50 euro a bottle!! There is Tre Castelli or a bit further in Rivolta Bormida. If you have time Genoa is well worth a visit. Also, Torino (a magnificent city) and the Cinque Terre are only 2 hours from Trisobbio. In conclusion, our experience was such that we were very sad to leave after ĺ2 months. A village and a host that we cannot recommend highly enough. We very much enjoyed our stay in Trisobbio in Andrea's house. We were welcomed with a cake by his mother, everything was as described. We loved staying in a medieval house with Internet and televison. Trisobbio offers lots of choices for activities, the kids enjoyed the neaby public swimming pool with a water slide, we went for hikes to the neighboring villages through fields and vineyards, and went to the beach that is only 45 minutes away by car. Or just enjoy life in a small medieval village with a castle and small streets. You can also use Trisobbio as a base to discover nearby Italian cities: Genoa, Pavia, Acqui Terme. Andrea: Thank you for hosting us! It has been wonderful!

Andrea was easy to communicate with, answer our initial inquiry promptly and got back very quickly when we needed to communicate during our stay. The apartment is very spacious, with nice views onto countryside. It was spotless when we arrived, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and good shower. Andrea's mom greeted us with a cake (nice touch) and even though she speaks no English and we speak very little Italian we had no problem communicating. Wireless was OK -- sometimes not working, sometimes on and off (I doubt that there's anything the host can do about this ... the walls of the building are thick and it's something we've dealt with at other ABnB accommodations in the area). Though this apartment was comfortable I would next time book the Andrea's mansarda apartment upstairs (which I viewed and which is beautifully renovated), because of the noise from upstairs guests for the last half of our stay. Otherwise, I'd book again. It's worth noting that we extended our stay by two days and were happy to do so.

My in-laws, who spent a week with us on vacation, have felt comfortable. Andrea has advised us very well to do in the area.

Asti, the area is hilly, verdant, Genoa is 45 minutes (you can get there by train), the village of brands 45mn, pleasant stay.

Upon our arrival on Ovada, we have been guided to reach the house because it is in a small way that is not easily visible from the highway. With photos on the site, housing quite fit the description. the view from the house is magnificent: it shows all around. We had a nice time with family every comfort. The different members of the family that we met speak French which facilitated our different exchanges.

Our stay at the Repetto's paradise was everything any weary but curious traveller could ever dream of. The hospitality was unmatched by anything we have ever tried and the pictures did little justice to the views offered from the property. Evenings were spent at the outdoor pizza oven and under the patio, sipping local Dolcetto or near-local Barbera. Days were spent at nearby pinnacles and castles that riddle the panoramic views from the garden - or at the cooling public pools just a brisk walk from the house. All within easy reach. Occasional evening outings went to restaurants at Marcello, Mary and Enrico's recommendations, all perfect experiences. Longer excursions included swimming in Lago Maggiore, eating in Modena, more eating in Alba, enjoying architecture - and cooling time travel at the Egyptian museum - in Turin. We almost forgot the Mediterranean just half an hour down the road. There is no way we can make a better recommendation for time spent in Italy than at the Repetto's in Alto Monferrato. Great experience at hand in every direction, great hospitality and friendly help at home.

The masters of these places are very likeable people, who will also advise you on vists to do or restaurants to discover. We tell them a big thank you for those few days of pure bliss and will return there without a doubt. What a wonderful piece of heaven! Barbara's B&B is just fantastic. From the moment we arrived, Barbara and her husband were extremely welcoming and informative. The room was clean, tidy and comfortable and the grounds and pool are stunning. Barbara provided an array of delicious breakfast treats too. We only wish we could have stayed for longer in this place of relaxation and absolute bliss!
