Caythorpe Holiday Rentals

Just booked in Caythorpe

Built in 1726, The Old Granary is a newly restored barn in the heart of a traditional English village. Within 1 minute’s walk of a superb local dining pub and surrounded by rolling countryside and super walks, it’s the perfect spot for a relaxed break. 30 mins from the historic cathedral city of Lincoln by car and rail links to London (1hr), York (1.75hr) Edinburgh (3hr) make it an ideal base for overseas visitors to explore some of the best of the UK’s towns, cities and sights.
Lovingly restored over two years, this little barn is a gem. Light and airy with all mod cons it still oozes charm and character with lots of original features. We managed to preserve the original fireplace and beautiful old beams in the kitchen and the ladder used as a light in the main bedroom was once the original staircase when the barn was used as a Granary. We've really made the most of the space to create a comfortable two bedroom cottage which sleeps 4 adults and 2 children comfortably. Underfloor heating and an open bio fuel fire make it a cosy escape; perfect for a small group of friends, a romantic getaway or a family break with the grandparents. Near level access from outside, level access on the ground floor with a good size downstairs shower room and a comfy double sofa bed in the lounge makes the space accessible for any guests who find stairs a challenge. Finished to a very high standard with plenty of storage it's a real home from home.
Caythorpe is one of the famous Lincolnshire 'ridge villages'. In the heart of the English countryside with some great easy walks right from the door, we love that we don't need to get in the car to get into the outdoors. It's a real living village. Lots of people have lived here all their lives and there's a great sense of community where everyone is welcome. If you don't want to stray too far, the Red Lion is our local pub. It's literally less than a minute's walk from the front door and serves great food at lunchtimes and in the evenings. It's always busy which is a good sign so whilst we're rarely unable to get a table on spec, it's best to book just in case. The Waggon & Horses is even closer and has a nice beer garden perfect for a drink on a warm sunny afternoon. Other great places to eat in neighbouring villages are the Hare & Hounds at Fulbeck and The Brownlow Arms at Hough on the Hill. Both are a pleasant 1.5 mile walk or a 5 minute drive. Best to book ahead for both. Did we mention the walking? We love to get out for a good tramp over the fields. There are miles of footpaths right on our doorstep. Explore the surrounding rolling countryside and famous Lincolnshire 'big skies' on one of many good circular walks with pub/cafe stops along the way. For younger visitors, there is a lovely safe playground and playing field just 5 mins walk away. Things to do nearby The National Trust's Belton House is just 10 mins drive away. This magnificent Regency House was once home to the Brownlow Family. With breathtaking gardens, including a maze, cafe, shop and a fantastic HUGE adventure playground it's a perfect family day out. When our kids were little Belton was literally like a second home! We spent most weekends there often staying all day and only coming home when it started to get dark. The nearest town is Grantham, birthplace of Margaret Thatcher and home of the Kings School where Isaac Newton was educated. Sadly, over the years the town planners have knocked the soul out of this place but it's still worth a quick look if only to see some of the ancient buildings like the Angel and Royal Hotel reputedly England's oldest inn. Nearby Newark-on-Trent is a bustling traditional Market town, the very pretty market square is home to a fantastic Saturday market. The town was an important place during the civil war and is home to a great little civil war museum. The ruined castle is worth a look too. The historic city of Lincoln is half an hour by car. It is one of England's most charming cathedral cities. See one of the surviving copies of the Magna Carta at the castle, explore the quaint shops and cafes in the cathedral quarter and take a look around the magnificent cathedral. For younger visitors the Lincolnshire Museum of Life is a nice hands-on experience. Further afield Lincolnshire is a great base from which to explore some of the best cities in the UK. The East Coast mainline runs fast direct services from Grantham and Newark to London (1hr 15), York (under 1hr), Durham (1hr 40mins), Newcastle (less than 2hrs) and Edinburgh (3.5 hrs)
  • Sam and family are wonderful hosts, I had great communication from Sam leading up to my stay and a very good greeting on arrival. The Granary Barn is all brand new inside, absolutely spotless, beautifully appointed and decorated, very cosy and warm. There is peace and tranquillity at night and a very short walk (2 mins) from a lovely gastro pub and a short drive from lots of rural walks. I stayed with my three children - we all really enjoyed the homely feel of the barn, and will definitely book again. It is fantastic!

  • This is an outstanding place! Everything was incredibly tidy and they have thought about everything. A lovely touch with wine and crisps. I can't recommend this place enough. We will definitely be back! Thanks again for making our time so relaxing.

  • Amazing stay, very welcoming hosts and stunning home!

  • The Old Granary is 5* +. Sam and Mark offer a beautifully designed accomodation and attention to details from utilities to design is excellent. Every need catered for and extensive welcome "bundle" is a very high quality touch. Location chosen for proximity to wedding party venue but managed to spend next day visiting both Lincoln and wonderful National Trust house and grounds at Belton, on the doorstep. If opportunity arises we can recommend Fish n Chips from van on a Thursday night and dinner at Red Lion.

  • This is a perfect little find for a relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings. The beds were very comfortable, even the bed settee and the colours and style of the decor and furnishings are both subtle and creative. It's deceptively spacious and there's ample storage. Very clean and neat, with everything you need in the kitchen cupboards. The welcome is great too, a surprise bottle of wine in the welcome pack was a very nice touch and the hosts are exceptionally friendly and polite. Fabulous restaurants nearby, we enjoyed a gorgeous meal at The Stag 10 mins drive away. Wish we could whisk it all away and live in it :)

    Mim2017-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • The Old Granary is an immaculately modern remodel of an old stone building. Great comfy beds, two friendly pubs nearby, warm welcoming hosts. Sam even provided us with detailed directions for a loop walk through the village and farm fields on the public footpaths. Outstanding!

    Kathryn2017-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • The house is ideally located in the middle of the village, at walking distance to to shops and pubs. The place is beautifully done to a high standard and Sam is lovely and very welcoming. We had a great time during our stay at The Old Granary and would definitely return. Thank you very much!

Welcome to our vintage Airstream motorhome B&B retreat, the ultimate get away sited in its own attractive private garden with adjacent coastal themed fully equipped and heated bathroom (with as much hot water as you want!) A stay with a difference where a warm welcome always awaits you.
The Airstream has been sympathetically restored with plenty of traditional features and accommodates 2 people very comfortably. There is a well lit and colourful kitchen equipped with sink and drying area, a gas hob and hob top kettle, small fridge, microwave, toaster, plenty of storage and a good sized preparation area. The lounge has 2 colourful seats to recline on with a specially built table for eating, reading, playing cards, writing or holding a bottle of wine and a couple of glasses. There is a USB charging port in the lounge and wifi is connected. The cosy bedroom has 2 very comfortable single beds with lovely cosy duvets to keep our guests feeling warm and cossetted. There is a small wardrobe and over bed cupboards and a hair dryer provided for our guests. There is a very efficient wood burning stove and a built in fan heater to keep the cold away. Our guests have the exclusive use of a separate specially built and fully equipped bathroom with underfloor heating, heated towel rail, shaver socket and hairdryer. We provide towels, bathrobes and slippers for your comfort. All crockery, glassware, cutlery, cooking utensils, bed linen, towels and bathrobes are included with the accommodation and if you want a break from washing up there is also a dishwasher provided. Relax outside with a glass of prosecco in your own charming terraced area with windout umbrella (should it dare to rain), barbeque and gas patio heater to keep you warm on chillier evenings. At dusk the garden comes to life with hundreds of twinkling fairy lights, creating a magical atmosphere. Check in time is from 3pm and check out from 11am.
The Airstream is located in a conservation area of the charming cliff edge village of Caythorpe, with local amenities including The Red Lion Inn which is good for food and craft ales and has a wonderful roaring log fire lit in the winter months and a well stocked Spar Shop where you can also buy newspapers. Caythorpe is bypassed by the A607 Grantham to Lincoln road and is close to the A17 Newark on Trent to Sleaford (and coast) road. The village is actually centrally situated between the historic market towns of Grantham (10 miles), Newark on Trent (10 miles) and Sleaford (9 miles) and the Cathedral City of Lincoln (11 miles) the cultural capital of our county. Grantham (which is bypassed by the Great North Road now known as the A1)is the birthplace of Margaret Thatcher and is close to Belvoir Castle and Woolsthorpe by Colsterworth which is the birthplace of Sir Isaac Newton. Newark on Trent as its name suggests is situated on the River Trent and places worth visiting are Newark Castle and the market (on certain days). Sleaford, situated on the pretty River Slea, is a sleepy market town which hosts a farmers market on certain weekends. The capital of our county, Lincoln has the River Witham and the Foss Dyke flowing through with boat trips available. There are many places to visit in Lincoln, including the Bail area, the Cathedral and Cathedral Quarter with the Bailgate shopping area, Castle (which houses one of the 4 original copies of the Magna Carta) and Museum. Other places of interest include The Collection (including the Usher Gallery) situated just off the aptly named Steep Hill. Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire have many places of interest and we have compiled a brochure that we hope will help you decide which you would like to visit. Lincolnshire is also home to the world famous aerobatic team, the Red Arrows which you may be lucky enough to spot practising in our huge open skies.
  • Glamping with a bit of luxury. Excellent quirky venue in a lovely remote location. Lots to do nearby or relax in your own little space.

  • Charming vintage Airstream that has been very well restored/upgraded inside to make it modern and comfortable. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, even for me at 6ft 3inches tall. Built right next to it is a thoroughly modern, spacious, warm, clean bathroom with all that one could need. Step out from the Airstream onto the patio which is wonderfully built and very cleverly laid out with heater, barbeque and a splendid array of tasteful, solar powered lights. Clever lighting is a standout feature of the place with subtly placed, automated (by motion or timer) lamps of various types to give an enchanted feeling to the garden when the sun sets. Great place. I will certainly stay again.

Completely private attic room in beautiful 18th century stone farmhouse at heart of conservation village, quiet but just off A607 connecting Grantham and Lincoln. Use of own shower room/loo (not en suite). Comfortable kingsize IKEA sofabed with mattress topper. Continental breakfast included. Two children live here, but large house ensures peace! Apologies that the photos show a different bedroom to the one you'll be in. We will get some new photos up soon!
  • I wanted a stopover on a long car journey with my 2 month old baby in a nice, affordable place. What I liked best about this listing was the warm family atmosphere and interacting with interesting people. It was friendly and informal. I was able to walk through the picturesque village to a local pub with excellent food. There was also a craft village in the manor stables which I visited in the morning, where there is a nice cafe and interesting wee shops. The room was unlike the one pictured as the photos have yet to be updated on the listing. It worked out better for me as the attic room was more secluded and my baby didn't disturb the family. We also had our own bathroom with shower at the other end of the attic. The bedroom is also used as a study and had a small window with a nice view. The bed was comfortable, and ideally low to the ground so I had easy access to the bassinet. I was provided with what I needed in the way of toiletries, towels and tea and water. Breakfast was with the children in all its cosy chaos. I liked conversing with the family, seeing the interesting contents of the attic and house, including rabbits in the outside hutch, and I liked the picturesque village setting. If you're looking for something formal and impersonal, this wouldn't suit. But this kind of listing is what I love about the AirBnB experience.

  • We only stayed one night but it was very enjoyable. The house was lovely and in a nice, quiet village. The room was spacious and clean and the breakfast was good. Our hosts were very pleasant and helpful and I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay.

  • Fulbeck is very lovely- as is Peacock House. I was staying with Emily and her family for one night whilst on a work trip. I arrived early but popped to the lovely local pub where I had a very nice meal later on. Emily was helpful and welcoming. I had a really good night's sleep but was a little surprised to be staying in Emily's daughters room- I just hadn't realised from the listing and felt a bit guilty that she had to move out for the night. Very comfy though. A lovely breakfast spread available in the morning. Highly recommended

  • Hostess was not there when we arrived. Husband came up from studio to let us in and gave us a key for later. No conversations took place until breakfast time Saturday morning. Hostess had very little on offer for breakfast so we had toast with tomatoes and marmalade. We made an excuse not to stay for the second night and booked into a Hermitage hotel.

Cool and unique location for visiting clients. Our totally awesome Quirky Log Cabin is set within our mannequin recycling yard. Featuring a double bed and comfortable old fashioned sofa, big enough to sleep on, it will sleep 5 adults in total, with an extra airbed. A fantastic view across to the Lincolnshire Ridge, wood burning stove and Cat 5 Internet tops off this Cabin with both pleasing imagery and basic needs. Not suitable for children as it is set on a commercial site.
Also used for industry crew when travelling and as a part time security hut, all the basics are covered. Bathroom with shower. Log burner. The kitchen area has a kettle, microwave, grill, toaster and halogen oven. In addition there is an iron and ironing board.
It's very quiet apart from the birds chirping away. Occasional weekend noise from nearby car race track - daytime only. Our body shop, full of recycled mannequins is here to browse through a spare limb or two.
  • It was our aim to spend a long weekend away to unplug and switch off and the Quirky Little Cabin and its location was the perfect place for us to do this. Roz was away for the weekend but had arranged for her son to be our host, he was very helpful and polite. The cabin was clean and airy, decorated in a shabby chic style. The kitchen facilities are minimal but enough to prepare light meals. We found the bed really comfortable. We would highly recommend Roz's place, it's a unique space and perfect place to chill, away from the hustle and bustle of life. PS if you really don't like cats then just be aware that there are about eight of them and they are very friendly and will come and say hello.

    Abby2017-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • Roz's cabin is the perfect getaway for a quiet weekend. Situated just out of the small village of Fulbeck it is surrounded by beautiful countryside and an abundance of birds and nature. We had so much fun jamming by the fire and playing with the cats and kittens. The mannequin yard is full of character as is the cabin and the rest of Roz's land. Highly recommended to stay here. We felt right at home. Thanks Roz.

    Louis2017-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • I'm drawn to anything described as quirky, and Mannakin doesn't disappoint. It's a lovely spacious cabin set within the hundreds of manequins. A walk around the yard is both eerie and beautiful. If that isn't enough there's some of the friendliest cats and kittens that join you as you walk around the yard. Roz is an excellent host and the cabin is exquisite and laden with loving touches. A real find.

  • Great stay. Nice quiet area. Friendly hospitality. Would stay again

    Bryn2017-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • A unique place ideal for people who like something a little out of the ordinary. The cabin is quite spacious and we easily could have spent a lot more time here without feeling cooped up like you would in a hotel room, or feeling like a guest in someones house. Roz made check in and check out very easy and was around if we had needed.

    George2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Roz's place is great fun. We loved our stay and would definitely visit again. The cabin is comfy, cosy and has everything you need. The location is great too with Fulbeck village and pubs near by.

    Sabine2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • The 'Quirky Log Cabin' was easy to find and we were met on arrival by Roz, who was very welcoming and very helpful. The cabin was perfect for our needs, it was comfortable and peaceful and we all slept very well. The mannequin yard is an amazing spectacle and we had lots of visits and cuddles from the resident cats. A wonderful break, we were sorry to leave.

The Manor is a Grade II Listed Victorian Country House built in 1867. A peaceful countryside retreat set in the grounds of Leadenham Polo Club. We welcome you to relax, unwind and enjoy all that the Lincolnshire Countryside has to offer. It's been a very busy year with Airbnb so we are currently doing a refurb of the house, a fresh lick of paint everywhere and some new flooring.
The Manor boasts six bedrooms; two twin and four doubles. There are two full bathrooms upstairs and a separate lavatory. Downstairs there are two separate WC's, one with an additional shower. Self catering facilities are available, with guests having full use of the Manor's kitchen, dining room and lounge. There are open fires in the dining room & lounge and we will supply firewood & coal during the cold Winter months. The kitchen is large and easily able to cater for up to 14 guests, with a catering size oven and large American Fridge-Freezer. Outside the Manor there is a patio area with a large outdoor fireplace/BBQ and an outdoor 10 seater hot tub. New for this year is our grass tennis court which is available for guests to use. As the Manor is set within Leadenham Polo Club, the guests will have the full run of the Polo Club and are more than welcome to spectate when there are Polo Matches or join in with Polo Lessons.
The post office in the village has a small shop and is now home to Leadenham Tea House which sells an array of home baked goods as well as fabulous coffees and teas. There are several local pubs, The George in Leadenham and the Hare and Hounds in Fulbeck being great places to drink and eat.
  • The house is a fantastic setting for a weekend get away with friends or family. We went on lovely walks around the grounds and travelled to the local pubs. The hot tub is a real treat and lovely for those colder nights. The house is clean and Lydia was welcoming and willing to help us with anything throughout our stay.

    Hannah2017-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had such an amazing time (EMAIL HIDDEN)munication with Lydia from the get go was great - she replied quickly, was very informative and answered all questions. The Manor itself is gorgeous. The pictures do not do it justice at all. It's absolutely huge and has everything you need in it. There were 14 of us staying and we were more than comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped to cook for all of us having two fridges was handy for keeping drinks and food separate. The house was in excellent condition for its size and was clean and tidy. The hot tub and outdoor area was lovely. All of us fitted in which may well be a record. In the day we played rounders on the massive green and a bit of football two. I bet it's lovely in the summer. A great added bonus was that ten of us were able to ride the polo horses, which we really enjoyed! Thank you Lydia and everyone at the Polo Club, we hope to be back very soon!

    Rebecca2017-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the Manor! Perfect for a long wkend hen do! The house was really big and well looked after, host provided well maintained spaces which worked really well for our large group. Plenty of space for entertaining, cooking, games etc. Jacuzzi is brilliant and all 11 of us sat comfortably. Countryside surroundings were stunning. Couldn't have asked for a more appropriate hen-do house!

    Matt2017-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at the manor as a big group of girls for a hen do. The venue was great itself in terms of the number of bedrooms, two bathrooms & large dining room which was easily able to seat our whole party. Also the hot tub was fantastic, big enough to fit our group in at once & the croquet set was a bonus to the trip too! Only down side would be the kitchen, which wasn't great for storage of non-fridge food items & the crockery. Shelves/a larder would have been useful.

    Gillian2016-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great place. Perfect venue for our family occasion. Very spacious. Loved the hot tub and the village location overlooking the fields.

    Aiden 2016-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • The whole visit was ace! We are an a capella group and had requests about rehearsal space. Lydia was always prompt to answer and really halpful. Surrounding village was really nice and we found a great farm shop. Will definitely want to stay again!

  • Lydia's place is one of a kind. It's perfect for big groups who want to get away and enjoy the weekend together. The house is fantastic and kitted out with everything you need. • My boyfriend and I had a fantastic stay at The Stable in Dry Doddington and Gavin and his wife have been such lovely hosts. We were welcomed on our arrival by two kind, smiling faces, a warm handshake and a cupboard and fridge with supplies that saved us a trip to the supermarket for breakfast. The bed was very comfortable, the apartment was extremely clean, the surroundings were beautiful and very quiet. We left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated and cannot wait to visit the farm again. I would not hesitate to recommend staying at The Stable to any of my friends and family. We look forward to staying here again very soon. Thank you for giving us such a lovely getaway experience. • Our Stay in Rebecca's studio flat was cozy and comfortable for our family as an overnight stay. We were presently surprised by the breakfast hamper and how well it was stocked for a compact space. Communication was excellent and Rebecca was there for any questions or queries we had. We loved our brief stay, thank you so much.

Parts of Rose Cottage dates from the 17th century. Wood burners, beamed ceilings and flag stone floors. A rather large cottage with plenty of character. Formerly an Inn named The Three Horseshoes Rose Cottage is now our home that we wish to share with visitors to the quaint village of Brant Broughton which is situated 15 minutes from Newark, 25 minutes from the historic town of Lincoln and 15 minutes from Sleaford.
We offer en-suite king size bedrooms, guest dining room and a guest snug with log burner.
Brant Broughton is a wonderful conservation village with many houses of different architecture and ages. The Generous Briton pub is just a 2 minute walk from Rose Cottage and offers good home cooked food
  • Rose Cottage was a lovely place to stay in a quite village just a short trip to Lincoln to the north and Newark to the west. The rooms are beautifully furnished with a great power shower in the en-suite and wifi access throughout. Our hosts were always willing to assist us, including providing an iron to help remove those ceases that come from travelling.

  • The cottage is beautiful in a lovely village location. Liz and Steve were very welcoming and generous hosts. The accommodation was fantastic, spotlessly clean, comfortable rooms with an enormous bed and great ensure bathroom. Liz has considered her guests and provides great quality products in the room, tea, coffee and hot chocolate as well as great toiletries. The facilities for the guests at the house are fabulous with a cosy guest lounge and dining room. The breakfast was superb, again with great quality products and many extra touches, we were heading off for a day walking and didn't need to stop for lunch ! Thank you so much we had a great stay. Kevin and Sue Hewitt

  • Had the most fabulous stay with Liz and Steve plus their lovely little doggie Rosie. I could not have been treated better or been made to feel more at home. Beautiful surroundings in the very smart B&B, a very comfy bed and a breakfast so big I had to ask for a smaller portion the next day. Lovely lovely place, will be back.

    Kate2016-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • B&B was in fantastic condition and the room was extremely well appointed. The bed was comfortable and the village was lovely and quiet so we slept very well. Liz and Steve went out of their way to help us make the most of our visit and the breakfast was exceptional. A particular favourite element for us was use of a private sitting room and log burning fire which we enjoyed relaxing by and talking through our day. Can't rate them highly enough.

  • The house was just as advertised. It was spotlessly clean and we felt very much at home. Rebecca was very friendly and easy to contact. Dry Doddington is a small village with limited amenities but there are shops close in nearby villages. There is however, a very nice pub within five minutes walk, which does good meals. We have no hesitation in recommending Rebecca,s house.

  • Rebecca's home was delightful. I met some friends there for a catch up evening over wine and the house was beautiful, very clean and a great place to meet friends, have long walks or a romantic getaway!

Our breakfast was nice and we also had tea making facilities in the room. There is a pub less than 5 minutes away that do good food. We enjoyed our stay here.

  • Really comfortable nights sleep here. Wonderful hosts welcomed me with a cuppa tea and offered something to eat if I wanted but not hungry. Lovely house in a very quiet area, very clean, modern. Would certainly recommend anyone to stay here if in the area. Tea and coffee making in the room with a flask of cool, real milk in the room. A private bathroom and even bath robes provided if wanted. Ian was up early to make me breakfast, but I'm not a breakfast person so a quick coffee and out on the road early. Thanks Ian for getting up so early.

    Christopher2017-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • For us the bed was amazingly comfortable and the room was just the right temperature. Decor very pleasant and everything was spick and span. Both Morag and Ian are very friendly and ready to talk or not - whatever pleases you. They were really helpful with advice and brochures for places to go. We had a fabulous visit to Farndon, not far away and an excellent meal at "The Boathouse", all on their advice. Excellent scrambled eggs too, Morag.

    Roger2017-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Ian and Morag are exceptionally welcoming and friendly and every need was catered for - breakfast really appreciated after wedding reception at Stubton Hall. Sunny colourful clean and beautiful home and garden. Highly recommended. Tash & Andy

  • A wonderful stay, this is the perfect spot to venture out from! Everything contained in one area, plenty big enough for two with parking. A lovely card to wish us Happy New Year and some treats as well, really was a lovely apartment.

    Matt2016-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • I came down to Grantham for a new job and stayed here for a month. Rhona left me a welcome to your new job card and a pack of biscuits. She made herself available if I needed (which I didn't). It was a lovely apartment and fully kitted out with everything you would need for a month stay. Lovely location. Lots of nice walks round Belton woods and a walkable distance to Grantham along a cycle/walk way if you've got time on your hands. It was a bit tricky to find when I arrived in the dark as it's not a very obvious drive way just off the main road.

A huge airy space filled with art, the chapel can accommodate a maximum of 8 people on the property at all times. It is ideal for gatherings of friends and family and perfect for hen nights, reunions, writers' retreats. Walks and pubs nearby and close to historic Lincoln. PLEASE NOTE the chapel is our home not a venue, so not appropriate for larger functions.
John and I are artists and we have lovingly converted the chapel over 17 years to make it our home with our daughter. Featured in Psychologies Magazine and in the Saturday Times Magazine, it offers an amazing and gigantic airy space in which to host a relaxing break in the English countryside. It is full of interesting objects and a vast library of books that we have collected over the years and invite you to enjoy during your stay. If you are curious about life, culture and art you will have a fun time staying here. With an atmosphere of bohemian shabby chic, it has quirks, but the photos cannot capture the feeling of space, calm and tranquility. It offers comfortable accommodation for a group of family or friends. It is also fantastic for hen nights, reunions and photo shoots. It is built for song, laughter and conversation and will bring you the joy of birdsong to wake you in the morning. The chapel comfortably sleeps 8 people based on sharing as there are two double beds, one sofa bed and two single beds. Whilst we welcome your celebrations, the chapel is our home not a venue and we ask you to respect this and not to exceed the number of people booked. There are three bedrooms: two rooms have double beds, one has two single beds and there is a basic double sofa bed in a separate room downstairs. This is a separate downstairs room adjacent to the main living space, offering privacy. Upstairs there is one family bathroom with a shower and one of the upstairs bedrooms also has a shower in it. There is a downstairs loo. Downstairs is one large open space with a non fitted kitchen, including a double oven, a family sized fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. There is full central heating and wi-fi throughout the building. There is on street parking outside the chapel. There is a walled courtyard outside full of growing herbs in the summer. It is perfectly situated in the centre of the county making it an appealing place to host a weekend with friends and family who are based in different parts of the UK. Although in the centre of a charming limestone Lincolnshire village, it is only a 20 minute drive (10 miles) to Lincoln City where you can visit one of the most important Cathedrals in the UK, as well as Lincoln Castle that houses the Magna Carta. Lincoln has a good museum and contemporary art gallery, The Collection, as well as theatres and lots of great restaurants and bars. If you prefer a quieter time, the chapel is situated on the historic Viking Way, a world famous walking route, so there are walks that begin from the door, with stunning views across the landscape. There are two pubs in Wellingore, both serve food and the Red Lion, is by all reports good. Navenby is the next village, a 15 minute walk away, where you will find an award winning bakery, a delightful brasserie 'Macys', The Kings Head pub that serves good food and antique shops to explore. 'Mrs Smith's Cottage' is a small historic house in Navenby that is open to the public during the summer months. There is also a small co-op supermarket, a pharmacy and take aways. A regular No 1 connect bus service runs between Wellingore and Lincoln or Grantham and there is a direct train service from Lincoln to London, as well as other major cities. The nearest train stations are Grantham or Newark.
Wellingore is one of the Cliff Villages built on a limestone ridge that runs from Lincoln City. It offers glorious views across the otherwise flat countryside and walks with quaint country pubs in nearby villages. It is a quiet village with easy access to Lincoln city.
  • We loved staying at the chapel. It's located in a beautiful village, it has been lovingly converted and is full of incredible art, books and interesting collections of objects. There is oodles of space and Nicola provides everything you need for an effortless stay.

    Lucy2016-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • The Chapel is very different and quirky in a good way. We were made to feel welcome with the gift of bread, butter and milk. The house had tea and coffee too. Just what we needed for breakfast the next day. The village is lovely and the accommodation great for a large group. We were unable to use one of the showers due to a leak, it was a little inconvenient but didn't stop us enjoying our stay. The beds were comfortable and the house warm. Would stay again if in the area.

    Shirley2016-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Nicola's husband kindly received a delivery before our arrival and was waiting to welcome us. The chapel was an excellent large space for our family get together. The OS map made planning a local walk easy and the surrounding countryside is beautiful. The Co-op in Navenby was handy. We had a delightful and memorable weekend.

  • The description was not at all accurate and couldn't even begin to describe how wonderful this place was, the pictures don't do it the slightest amount of justice! We had an absolutely wonderful time staying here, Nicola was so gracious about us arriving late as well. The house was incredibly well appointed and could easily have fit a lot more of us. It was a little hard to find for one of the girls coming but we had such a great time here. Thankyou so much Nicola.

  • we booked the church for 2 nightsand it was very spacious. We were given a quick tour and then on our own. The owner left us a fresh loaf of local made bread and jams. The area is very quaint, we could wack to the local tavern which just stared serving dinner, and was very good. The church was clean and looked exactly like the photos. The beds were comnfy and plenty of clean towels were left out for us. It was especially nice to do some laundry in the middle of our 2 week europe vacation. I would highly recommend this place

    Rodney2016-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • I loved the spaciousness and decor of this converted Chapel as a place to stay with friends. The open plan arrangement downstairs, was conducive to chatting and the long table and pews provided a lovely setting for eating together one night when we stayed in. The kitchen was very well equipped, so one could easily cook every evening. There were plenty of books and games downstairs in the library room, available for use. Upstairs, was also spacious, beautifully decorated with artefacts and soft painted wooden floors. All bedrooms were well equipped with good beds and bedding, one with a shower, another with a sink and a spacious house bathroom. The quiet village setting suited us for early morning walks, but you need a car to travel further a field to Navenby Lincoln or Southwell, for interesting excursions and restaurants.

    Jane2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • We spent two very nice and relaxing days here. The village and the street are very quiet. The chapel is spacious and comfortable, with different quiet corners for people to relax in. The kitchen and dining space are wide open and a good place to cook dinner and breakfast. Thanks, N&J!

  • We had a fantastic stay at Nicola's home over the Christmas period. With a 92 year old grandma and 8 month old baby, I had to get in touch a few times during the trip with questions but Nicola was incredibly accommodating and helpful. The village is picturesque, especially in the snow! The converted chapel is amazing - it's was incredibly inspiring to stay in such a creative space and with such an array of art, books and creativity. We felt right at home and the chapel was warm and comfortable. Nicola also left us bread, milk and bits which was much appreciated. Overall would absolutely stay again. Thank you Nicola!

Our light modern house is in a rural village in Lincolnshire. We offer a bedroom with double bed and wardrobe, a toilet next door, an upstairs bathroom for the sole use of guests, well equipped kitchen, private TV/dining room and off-road parking.
The bedroom is on the ground floor with a cloakroom with toilet and washbasin immediately next door. Upstairs is the main bathroom which is for the sole use of guests (we have our own en-suite bathroom). There is the space to accommodate additional guests overnight if required.
Our village is mainly residential surrounded by farm land. We are close to Sleaford a small market town and other towns are within a 15-20 minute drive away. We benefit from the peace and quiet of a village without being too remote from any amenities. There are lots of pubs / eating places within a short distance (although unfortunately not in our village) and no shortage of places to visit locally. Our surrounding towns, Grantham and Newark, both have cinemas and/or theatres and Lincoln has both. There are several museums and art galleries and some interesting visitor centres at local RAF stations, for example the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight visitor centre at RAF Coningsby.
  • Very comfortable, clean facilities, just as described. Slept really well. Nice to have my own bathroom. House well positioned for the area I wanted to visit. Jean was a friendly, convivial hostess, knowledgeable about the area and it was interesting to talk to her and her husband about their travel experiences and their narrowboat travels. Thankyou for a pleasant first stay using airbnb. I will certainly do it again.

  • Everything about the stay was fantastic. The room was comfortable, the hosts were wonderful and the area was great. I would absolutely recommend this listing for anyone going to a function at RAF Cranwell.

  • We had a great stay with Jean and Gordon as it felt like we were part of the family. We were greeted with a lovely cuppa and a chat with Jean while poor Gordon was painting the bedroom. We had fun entertaining their grandson Harry, and Harry's two little doggies, Toby and Lola, greeted us each morning in our room ..... only because we left our door open! We had long chats with Jean and Gordon each evening when we got home from dinner about our respective lives, travels and families which we thoroughly enjoyed. Everything was clean and tidy and our bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was straight out of a magazine!!!! We had everything we needed for our enjoyable stay. We have no hesitation recommending a stay with Jean and Gordon - they are great hosts and make you feel very at home.

A Grade 11 listed Elizabethan Lincolnshire Longhouse next to the imposing stone Georgian Priory House, noted by TV appearances featuring its unusual interior. Huge chestnut, oak and beech trees welcome you through the leafy wooded drive. Formerly a provider of ales to Priory House and its servants it is now a romantic hideaway with a touch of baronial splendour and oodles of exotica. Relax in the foliage filled conservatory. The spacious oak beamed lounge combines the comfort of the cosy sofas with antique furniture and ethnic art. Curl up in front of the fire and the 42” plasma TV. A traditional Persian carpet softens the medieval style terracotta floor. A pretty little French chandelier illuminates the dining table and leopard skin curtains from the famous Biba's in the 1970's provide a feeing of warmth and privacy. The Inglenook fireplace features a log burning stove. We provide a big basket of logs for your first night and you can purchase more if neccessary. An intricately carved Indian screen covers one wall, installed by the explorer and mystic Sir Francis Younghusband who brought it back from Karachi after he led the British Army into Lassa, Tibet in 1904. A cast iron spiral staircase takes you to the minstrel's gallery bedroom and a secret door in the screen leads to the kitchen and shower room. The Indian theme is continued in the designer built kitchen, incorporating an Edwardian brown glazed sink and a brand new Rangemaster cooker with ceramic hob. You will find everything you need for grand cooking including some basic provisions and condiments in the store cupboard. The shower room features a separate WC and the original decorated Victorian hand basin. We are pet friendly with a small charge and can also put extra beds in the lounge for children. Host a "house party" for family and friends by combining it with the two lovely guest rooms in the adjoining Priory House. You have your own private entrance through your conservatory, filled with foliage, settee and bistro chairs for your morning coffee. Outside the front you have secure parking and garden furniture. There is also access to the walled garden and we can give you a guided tour of the fascinating interior of Priory House which is licensed for weddings and civil ceremonies. As we live next door in Priory House we are on hand to help in any way and here to welcome you when you arrive. We like to get an email or phone call from you so that we have an estimated time of arrival and can discuss any special requests you may have. You can ring us on (phone number hidden) or simply knock on our front door if you need us during your stay. We can also give you more information on local shops, restaurants and pubs. But we know that privacy is the key to enjoying your holiday. It is your own special place! Priory House and the Oriental Brewhouse sit in their own private grounds of one and a half acres. Situated in a quiet part of Long Bennington village near the church we are a short walk or drive to our village shops and three pub/restuarants. There is also a coffee shop and a fish and chip shop as well as a post office/general store and family butchers/grocery shop and a newsagents. If you want a special meal we can recommend The Reindeer Inn. Booking is advised especially at weekends which we will do for you if you want. Newark historic market town is only 6 miles north on the A1 and full of independant shops, coffee shops and restaurants. We love the market square with it's Town Hall and old buildings and there is a market every day except Tuesday and Sunday, a flea market on Mondays and Thursdays. Newark is renowned for it's antique shops. Grantham is the birthplace of Margaret Thatcher and has a market on Saturdays. Both towns have many supermarkets. If you like walking or cycling we are on the Viking Way and have many public footpaths across country fields in the village. There is plenty of parking space in the in/out gated drive. The village is in between Newark and Grantham on the A1. There are railway stations at Newark and Grantham too, from London Kings Cross, with taxies available. There is a bus service to both towns conveniently along Church Street outside the house, timetable available. The nearest airport is East Midlands 35 miles away, where you can hire a car. Your hosts, Roger and Carole, are both artists in fashion and sculpture. So don't expect a minimalist interior here! We are obsessed with collections and decoration. You will find African carved furniture, an Indian dowry chest brought back by us from Rajastan, Chinese coffee table and Spanish red and gold chairs, all mixed up with comfy feather sofas and ornamental cushions. But somehow it all goes together. As one of our comments in the visitor's book for Priory House B&B says "A visual feast! Beautiful, eclectic, slightly mad but great fun and a wonderfully interesting place to stay"
  • Carole and Roger made us feel very welcome. The Oriental Brewhouse is an amazing, totally unique place to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Waking up in the Brewhouse with sun streaming in, with the beautiful oak beams was fabulous. We enjoyed sitting in the Conservatory and outside too. thanks for a lovely holiday.

    Tanya2016-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place is magical! If you carve the simplicity of a roaring fire and unique, historic surroundings you won't get much better than this. Carole was a great host, we would definitely come back.

  • What a trip! This was a wonderful place to stay for a very memorable weekend. Not only is the place beautifully decorated and spacious but the building itself is an incredible historic site. Was a treat and unlike anywhere we've ever stayed.

    Sophie2014-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • The Oriental Brewhouse is simply stunning! Beautiful decor, comfortable lodgings and fantastic hosts. Highly, highly recommended.

  • We had a very pleasant, peaceful stay at the Brewhouse. A beautiful building, made very homely and comfortable by the hosts Carole and Roger. We and our two dogs were made very welcome and it was the perfect place to stay whilst working in the area.

    Jo2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had an incredible time at the Oriental Brewhouse. Carole was so helpful from beginning to end and extremely welcoming when we arrived. The decor is just breathtaking, neither of us had ever seen a place like it; it felt like something out of a film. My boyfriend proposed on NYE which made it extra special and we are hoping to go back again. Have told all our friends about it. Absolutely wonderful! Thank you for having us ☺️

    Louise2016-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks for a wonderful stay, the Oriental Brew House offered much needed relaxation in front of a roaring fire and in beautiful surroundings. Everywhere you looked there was another treasure to catch your eye! We loved it.

Beautiful detached garden cottage with private access. Stylish open plan space with own bathroom. As standard there is room for two but we can accommodate up to four if you are happy to share the open plan space and use the comfortable air bed.
Lovely detached cottage with separate access. The cottage is set in our beautiful garden, discrete and off the road so nice and quiet. Stylish, modern decor with crisp clean bedding on a king sized bed and a vintage scooter thrown in! The Cottage is one open-plan bedroom and lounge area with separate bathroom (bath with over bath shower). We provide shampoo & shower gel as well as hand soap in the bathroom. Each guest will get a soft towel to use during their stay. The Cottage is not fitted with a full kitchen however, we do provide a fridge, kettle, microwave, coffee machine with pods, toaster and crockery and cutlery. Calm relaxing space - there is no TV but there is a stereo with aux cable and excellent wifi for streaming films to your tablet. Keep cosy or cool with a fan to keep refreshed in summer and thick fleece blankets to cosy up in when it gets colder. We do have an electric heater to ensure the cottage is warm and put them on for your arrival in the winter months. If you've got work to do, we have a fold out desk and chair (stored in the wardrobe) for you to use during your stay. The Cottage is also equipped with a safe to secure your belongings, an iron and ironing board, first aid kit, clothes storage space and hangers, travel plug, USB charge points, reading lamps, and hairdryer. Off road parking on our driveway is available. If there are more than two guests, we set up ready for your arrival a double air bed - with a super comfy topper and all extra bedding and towels. The air bed would be set up in the open plan bedroom/lounge area - so make sure you're close with your fellow travelling companions!
Fantastic countryside views over beautiful rural Lincolnshire. We are a two minute walk from the edge of the famous Viking Way, a popular place for keen walkers. Watch the stunning sun set from the cliff edge of Navenby. Navenby is a pretty, quaint village with a variety of excellent amenities all within a short walk. In the village we have an award winning butchers and bakers, and a food store open until 10pm. Indian, Chinese and Fish & Chip takeaways are also a good food choice, as is the lovely little brasserie 'Macy's'. There are two great pubs, with regular quiz nights, supper specials and live music events. The Kings Head have a separate restaurant with an à la cart selection. There is a traditional café 'The Cottage Tea Rooms' in the village too - perfect for breakfasts. The village also has a newsagent, florist, a selection of boutique shops, an antiques shop and several beauty salons. The next village along, Wellingore has a post office and fuel station.
  • This was just what I wanted; very quiet (apart from a momentary burst of noise as the Red Arrows did a fly-past!), with superb broadband, a comfortable bed and everything, and more, that I needed. There were good food shops and pubs within walking distance in the pretty village. Ian and Stacey were away when I arrived but made getting in very easy with clear instructions. I'll definitely try to stay here again if the need arises.

    James2016-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great little cottage in Navenby. We stayed there for two days while house hunting in the local area. Everything is exactly as described, the bed was comfortable, and the cottage itself is set back from the road and very quiet, which was an advantage when traveling with our 6 month old. Navenby itself is one of the nicer villages in the area, so if you want to stay just outside of Lincoln it's a great choice. I'm sure we'll stay there again when we head back up to Lincolnshire.

    Patrick2016-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • There are very few places to stay in this part of Lincolnshire and due to the excellent amenities nearby including 2 pubs, 2 late shops, Chip Shop, Chinese and Indian the location of this Airbnb is excellent. The property is clean and tidy and due to it not being part of the main house means you can come and go easily.

    Tim2016-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay. The cottage was lovely, clean and had everything we needed. As well as a very comfy bed and helpful info on where to go in the village for a meal.

    Erin2016-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Hosts were great and really welcoming. The garden cottage is exactly as described, the only thing I missed was a TV, other than that everything was perfect.

    Kelly-Feral2016-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Incredible stay here for a couple of nights, Ian and Stacey were so accommodating and thought of everything! Very very friendly and welcoming, communication prior to arrival very efficient and informative. The cottage was lovely - perfect size, lovely, clean and tidy; the bed was beyond soft and comfortable, the tea and coffee making facilities fabulous, and the speakers provided gave our night out the perfect getting-ready vibe! Even the garden was delightful, with a lovely area to sit out. They even provided us with a cool box without our needing to request it, and helped tidy our belongings away so we wouldn't have to face the state at 3am after returning from our function! Would 100% recommend this place to anybody, lovely lovely lovely. :)

    Victoria2016-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • The place itself is really nice and the scenario is cute and access to and from is so easy and the ease of getting to and from without disturbing the house was amazing. Only things I would change would be the temperature of the place as it was cold and has trouble finding the spare heather. Also the shower pressure was a bit weak and made showering an issue. Overall had an amazing time and would recommend it and only hope the feedback I have given will benefit future stayers.

    Will2017-08-23T00:00:00Z

  • A testament to the true value and convenience of Airbnb, this is a restful, immaculate English country cottage set within the most stunning gardens. Superb communications with a genuinely caring host, Jayne should be commended for her personal touches, unobtrusiveness (a rarity nowadays) and willingness to help. I cannot recommend this peaceful cottage highly enough - just perfect for Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and Rutland sight-seeing.

    Christian2016-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Traditional English cottage with well equipped modern interior, set in small country village. Me, my wife, our small baby, and our 2 Jack Russells spent 3 nights at the cottage, which we used as a base for visiting the areas surrounding Grantham - we couldn't have picked a nicer place to stay. On the inside the cottage has modern fittings and has a large open plan space taking in the kitchen and sitting room with windows all around that let lots of light in but with blinds for when you want more privacy. A fireplace with a working wood burner dominates one side that Jayne had ready to go for us, we only needed to light it for some added comfort. Upstairs is the bedroom and a bathroom/wet-room. Jayne is a cheerful, friendly host who goes out of her way to be helpful. When we arrived she had already stocked the kitchen with milk, eggs, bread, butter, jams, cereals, and enough croissants for our stay.

    Matthew2015-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a lovely stay in Paddock Cottage. It really is beautiful and in such a perfect setting. The surrounding countryside is very pretty and Oasby itself is very quiet and tranquil. There are lovely National Trust places to visit nearby and Stamford is worth a visit too. Worth a mention is the Houblon Inn, it's literally around the corner. Wednesday is steak night, and our meal was delicious as well as so reasonably priced. This was our first time booking through Airbnb and the bar has been set very high. Thanks Jayne for being a super host and we certainly hope to be back before too long.

    Geraldine2017-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Our host, Jayne, was was at home when we arrived, and so was able to explain the house and details of the local area. The house was the most comfortable 300+yr house we've ever stayed at, and was extremely well equipped. The facilities were all very new and the host was very welcoming. We wish we had stayed a bit longer.

    Stephen 2015-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • It was a wonderful stay at your cottage surrounding by a quiet environment. Jayne was very friendly and helpful. She gave us lots of information on where to go and to eat. The cottage was clean, cozy and comfortable. Thanks Jayne.

    Christine2015-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely perfect stay from beginning to end. Jayne is a great host, going the extra mile for us. The cottage is beautiful, well appointed and spacious, wish we could've stayed a week at least! Couldn't recommend highly enough.

    Emma2015-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely stay here in Oasby. Jayne was great, flexible with check in times as we weren't sure when we could get there and she put lots of breakfast supplies in which we weren't expecting but was very welcome. Went to the Houblon Inn round the corner for a drink one night, friendly staff and menu looked great. Also ate at the Red Lion in Newton which again was a good meal and fab service. Overall accommodation was fitted out to a high standard with a working wood burner if your after a cozy night in. Lovely comfy bed as well. Thanks Jayne it was perfect.

Nice double room in a house in Long Bennington which is a small village between Newark and Grantham, just off the A1. You will have your own bedroom and sole use of the main bathroom which has a bath and shower. Long Bennington is a very pretty village and benefits from a post office/general store, a fish and chip shop (very fresh, very good!) and two very good pubs, both of which serve good food and beer. The Civil War market town of Newark is only 5 miles away with a good selection of shops, restaurants and pubs with a thriving twice weekly market. It also has a castle and marina. Nearby is the Newark Showground, the venue for many events throughout the year ((website hidden)) If antiques are your thing, Newark hosts some very large antiques fairs ((website hidden)) as well as having a couple of auction houses and antiques centres. Our central location offers easy access to many attractions and towns including Lincoln, Nottingham, Sherwood Forest and Clumber Park to name a few. Breakfast is continental and is self service. There is on-street parking in a very quiet residential area. We provide bedding and towels and free wi-fi is available. Please note, we do have 2 very friendly dogs (spaniels) who are very much part of the family but do generally sleep outside in their kennel at night. If you don't like dogs, our house is probably not the place for you.
  • We had a wonderful stay! Great town, awesome hosts. Breakfast in the morning was a great start to the day, and Julia was always more than willing to give us advice on our day's travels! Room/House/Bathroom were exceptionally clean and we felt completely welcome. Hooray Scotland!

  • We had a very pleasant stay at Ken's and Julia's home. They are great host, we got a delicious breakfast and they are very interesting people to chat with. Unfortunately, we could only stay for one night and so we would love to come back some day.

  • A beautiful home and wonderful host! Ken was out of town, so Julia took care of us. She was very generous, friendly, and simply a fun host to converse with. Wifi signal was very strong. You should be alright with dogs to stay here. She has two very well-mannered, yet energetic, dogs in the home.

    Bobby2012-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Julia is a fantastic host, incredibly caring and a lovely person to stay with. I needed somewhere to stay for a month due to my work, and chose Julia's place due to its convenient location (and the added bonus of two adorable dogs!). It's a lovely home and would highly recommend it to anybody looking for somewhere to stay in the area!

    Megan2017-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • One night for my parents on their way to Scotland. It was perfect. From the first contact by email (confirmation they will find someone with whom they can speak in French as their English is beginner, direction easy to understand to find the place...) to the time they left this nice place, Julia and Ken have been very nice hosts. They hope to have this opportunity to come back another time. Many thanks for all.

    Veronique2014-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • Ken and Julia are top notch hosts! The bed was super comfortable and the shower had excellent water pressure! The house was very tidy. Julia left us a great selection for breakfast each day. Short story... I had walked to the lighthouse in the next town, when suddenly a huge rain storm came from nowhere. Julia and Ken knew I was out in shorts and a t-shirt and came to pick me up for a ride home! I don't think their hospitality can be beat! Thank you Ken and Julia!

    Carmen2012-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • My stay with Ken and Julia couldn't have been more pleasant. They are delightful people who were most welcoming and helpful. Their home is clean and comfortable and located in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to the town and to major roads. I especially appreciated their getting up early to prepare a wonderful breakfast by 6:00 a.m. so I could make an early flight in Glasgow. I would happily stay with them again and I recommend them highly.

  • Allington is a really interesting little village with a super pub which does great food just two minutes walk away from the property, as is the village shop. Everyone we saw was really friendly. Ashes Lodge is lovely - such a bonus to have all bedrooms ensuite - with plenty of living space and a fully-equipped kitchen. Slight drawback that only 4 of us could sit around the table with 2 having to use high (EMAIL HIDDEN)fy beds and good showers. Alison was there to greet us and available for contact if any problems should arise, which they didn't! We would certainly return if the opportunity arose and can wholeheartedly recommend Ashes Lodge for an Airbnb stay.

  • I had a great stay at Shree's house. I arrived very late (23.30) into Grantham, but I was greeted at the door and provided with a hot cup of tea! The bedroom is a good size, with a large shower room adjacent. The toilet is also just across the landing which is ideal. The house is a 15 minute walk from the start of Grantham town centre, and a 10 minute taxi from the train station. The area surrounding the residence is very nice, ideal if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing stay. Also Shree drove me to the train station in the morning which was greatly appreciated. Overall I had a great trip, and Shree and his wife Mrs Sujata were very welcoming and friendly. I would definitely return for future trips!

  • It was very convenient for us--space to park--a busy road unless windows kept shut which we had to do so it was a bit warm.We were made very welcome and given good directions to locate church and for the following day

  • Best airbnb experience I ever had!! Sujata was great. She came to pick me up at Grantham train station and was very helpful. The room seemed like living in an independent house as it has everything you could possibly need and it is private. I highly recommend it to anyone that wants privacy and a homely experience!! :)

  • This was a very good place for my first AirBnB experience. A welcome cup of tea when I arrived was much appreciated. The private flat made it easy to come and go without disturbing the family - and the location was great for a model aircraft meeting at Barkston Heath. Oh, and the wifi was first class.
