'Park House'. A beautifully presented, one bedroom self contained apartment which can accommodate up to 2 people. The private, newly refurbished apartment is on the 1st floor of a small detached house in Chorley and offers great value for money accommodation.
In the open plan kitchen/lounge, there is a combination oven/microwave, a fridge with a small freezer shelf, kettle, toaster, (no hob). There is cutlery, mugs, glasses and plates. A 42 inch Smart Tv with Freeview channels and Netflix in the living area and a 32 inch Tv with Freeview and Now TV and Netflix in the bedroom. Free unlimited WiFi and central heating. Towels and bed linen provided. The whole of the apartment is yours to enjoy, so make yourself at home.
The apartment is very close to junction 8 of the M61 and a close to the M6 also. There is a 24hr garage nearby which has Londis shop. The market town of Chorley is a 10 minute walk to the centre or a few minutes drive. Goodwins fully licensed restaurant and bar is a few minutes walk away, where a wide range of meals are on offer throughout the day and evening.

It’s got everything large tv with Netflix in living room, another large tv in bedroom, beautiful shower and bathroom and the kitchen is lovely with all the equipment you would need.     A beautiful house nestled in the centre of the historic village of Croston. Built in 1863, this gorgeous retreat is just opposite the village green, which is home to two popular (dog-friendly!) country pubs. There are free car parking places just across the road. The house has all the luxuries you need plus a south facing garden, perfect for soaking up the sun. I have a key box at the front door so you can arrive at any time. Any questions, please ask!
    This gorgeous country cottage style dwelling is over 150 years old! With that comes gorgeous period features such as the stunning old street lamp on the front of the house. The house sits in front of the bustling village green and country pub and restaurant, the Wheatsheaf. In fact, there are many places to eat and drink within walking distance. Step out of the back of the house and take a deep breath of fresh air. The peaceful garden gets the sun all day, it's a real sun trap and sheltered from the wind. There's lots of lovely plants and flowers, perfect for a weekend away. The house has two bedrooms both with double beds. There's also a cute little sun room, a perfect area for pets.
    The house is very close to lots of amenities, which I've included in my guest book (found online as part of this profile or in a house manual at the house). Walk out of the front door and there is the lovely village green. Just across the road there is: +The Wheatsheaf Pub, which has a bustling outdoor seating area for sunny days. The food is amazing, especially the baked Camembert. They serve breakfast 10am-12pm Saturday and Sunday. +Fresco Fresco, an Italian opposite the house with a restaurant/takeaway. The takeaway pizzas are freshly made in the pizza oven and are amazing. +The Nelson Pub, historical old pub with outdoor seating area. Try the secret hook and ring game, strangely addictive! On Town Road itself you can find: +The Grapes, a country restaurant serving quality food and gorgeous afternoon tea. +Thyme on the Yarrow, very cute cafe serving breakfast and lunch, the pate and cheese sharing platter is really nice. +Panshi, Indian restaurant and takeaway, try the tandoori lamb chops with onion and pepper, amazing! +Royal Bank of Scotland, cash machine just across the road from the house. Within five to ten minutes walk: +Westhead fish and chip shop, the best fish chips and peas for miles arounds, be prepared to queue but well worth the wait. Seating area outside. +Bleu Belle, lovely beauticians for all your pampering needs! +James Alexander Hair Salon, when you fancy a day off from doing a blow dry or just need a trim. +Co-op food, good selection of food basics, also there's a post office service provided at the till.
  • Fabulous location for exploring the area, the pubs opposite are fab so very central, hollys place is lovely, homely and for us the real fire and secure garden were the icing on the cake, it ticked all the boxes for not just my partner and I, but our dog too, felt completely at home!

    Spacious, double bedroom in 3 bed terraced house in a lovely, peaceful village in Lancashire. Light, modern decor in lockable private room with access to shared bathroom and large kitchen. Clothes storage, mirror, hair dryer, bedding and towels provided. Check in/out can be flexible if agreed prior to arrival - especially on the weekends. Longer stays can be agreed - please message to arrange. Good location for access to Chorley, Wigan, Preston, Southport, Manchester and Liverpool.
    Our home is well decorated with modern and fresh interiors. We welcome guests to utilise the facilities including our kitchen. We keep ourselves to ourselves but we will always be on hand to answer questions and make your stay as comfortable as possible. Please note we are getting a dog from January 2020. She is a Cavapoo and therefore is hypoallergenic as the poodle curly coat is prominent. We won't accept any guests with animals and the room will remain pet-free. Parking is on the main road, directly opposite our house, all free and plenty of space available. We have never had any problems parking here but there are several residential streets a short walk away should you prefer to be 'off-road'. For those looking at attending courses at the C.H.E.K. institute Europe (fitness and holistic health centre) we are a short 13 minute walk away from the centre in Eccleston - ideally located!
    Our home is in a quiet village but with plenty of things to do nearby. A couple of farmers markets, nice boutique shops and a lot of lovely pubs and restaurants both in the village and surrounding areas. It's a friendly place which why I'm sure you'll love staying here!

This time I used buses to get in and out of Preston from there and it great! Easy with stops just round the corners and so so lovely to come back to.   • I am now a regular at Jenny’s lovely place so there are a few reviews by me here. Clean, comfortable, with little thoughtful touches like fruit in a bowl and local honey and breakfast items in cupboard and fridge, compostable food waste bags in a basket in the bathroom together with cleaning stuff, a desk and small telly and many other little things. Stylishly furnished and thought if, it’s a small room once the bed is made out but so so lovely to leave from and come back to if, like me, you have few full on days on a postgrad course at uni. Quiet area, restful vibes. It’s perfect for me and Jenny is very responsive and helpful if needed. I’m already booked ahead of time for my next visits to Preston.

    My home is close to Chorley city centre, great views, parks, the airport. You’ll love my place because of the location, it is good for solo adventurers, business travellers, and furry friends (pets). A 5 minute amble to the local award winning pub the Dog and Partridge. Chorley is a few miles away and is a typical Lancashire market town, with great train links to Manchester, Liverpool, Preston, Blackpool, Lancaster to name a few places of interest. I'm very happy to take guests from Mon-Fri.
    Large room, with a double bed, full length mirror, a comfy chair and hanging space. Fully carpeted. Radiator. The room has a 32" TV with access to Netflix and a DVD player with many titles to view in the cabinet.
    My garden backs onto open countryside and if you are a nature lover, I have many varieties of birds, some frogs, and a squirrel!

    Combining the convenience of an urban location with the attraction and beauty of a rural setting, this cosy self-contained apartment is situated in Bridge Street Local Nature Reserve within 5 minutes’ walk of Horwich Town Centre and the West Pennine Moorland hills around Rivington.
    The one bedroom flat has recently been renovated and has a fully equipped modern kitchen and well-appointed bathroom. There is wi-fi throughout the apartment, a large flat screen TV in the lounge-dining area and a double bed in the light and airy bedroom. The apartment adjoins our family home but has its own entrance and a free parking space.

  • This was our first experience of using AirBNB and wow we hit on a fantastic accommodation. Great communication before our visit and access was very easy. The property is very spacious with all rooms being of a very good size and well appointed. It was spotlessly clean and we settled in straightaway. There was not one thing that was missing.     I have a lovely, comfortable house, suitable for up to 3 people, fully furnished, with garden. The house has 2 bedrooms; a large master bedroom with a double bed, and original brick fireplace, and a smaller second bedroom, with a single bed. There is a fully fitted and equipped kitchen with all mod cons, including a microwave, oven and washing machine, bathroom with an over the bath shower, and a living room with comfortable sofas and a flat screen TV. The house also has a spacious back garden. It is easy and safe to park your car on the street. You are only 30 minutes from major cities Manchester and Liverpool, and in just 1 hour you can reach the beautiful and well known Lake District, and at your doorstep you will find parks, forest, castles... As a couple or with your friends, this an ideal place to discover the north of England. Live the british way in Chorley !

    This is a granny annex that has a double bed and it’s own living room, which includes SKY TV. Choice of shower adjoined to the bedroom or a Bath is available if required. Located across the road from the Longton Brickcroft Nature reserve and is close to all local amenities of village life in both Longton and Walmer Bridge. You are free to join us in the evenings and if required can dine with us.
    Breakfast can also be provided if required.
    Longton has 5 public houses and a lovely coffee bar called Mad Hatters. There is also a Booths Supermarket that provides cooked food and hot drinks. Longton Brickcroft is good for walking

  • Michael’s home is the epitome of “A home away from home”. His hospitality has been outstanding and his home is warm, cozy and welcoming. I enjoyed my stay so much that I’ve extended for another two weeks! Great value for money, spotlessly clean, safe for lone female travellers and the location is quiet and relaxing. If you love dogs, you will adore little Hector, he is an absolute cutie...and has stolen the hearts of my parents! I would highly recommend Michael’s home and look forward to staying again when I next visit the area.

    Our bungalow, has been transformed into a modern and spacious home. It has featured in Ideal Homes and Daily Telegraph Home Renovation Award. Located approx 12 minutes, from Preston City centre and easily accessed by public transport. The double bedroom has ensuite/wet room and is on the ground floor, at the front of the house. Guests have access to the kitchen to make drinks and a 'help yourself' buffet continental style breakfast. Off road parking and secure storage for cycles, is available.
    Our house has been a labour of love and we are keen to share it with people who appreciate good design and want to try something different. The bedroom has one 4ft 6in double bed, a wardrobe, dressing table and rocking chair. The ensuite is a wet room.
    We are located in a quiet residential area with good amenities - a local Co Op, Chemist and Off licence with bank cash machine. There are two pubs within walking distance one of which serves food, a pizza takeway and an award winning fish and chip shop at the end of the road (2 mins walk). It is a quiet area but can be busy early morning, during rush hour and school start and finishing times.

    This is all about location, location, location. Set on a riverbank and within walking distance of the West Coast railway line in Preston. The property is a 3 bedroom detached house, which is my home. The bedroom offered to guests is large and airy with its own en-suite facility that includes a 'stand alone' bath. A television and beverages are available in the room. You are welcome to use the living room and kitchen during your stay. Or sit in the garden and relax if the weather permits
    Whilst so close to the city centre, the area is quiet. There is a 'gastro pub' a few hundred yards from the house which situated just along the riverbank. Beyond that are two stunning parks that you can stroll through to access the city centre. Indeed you can be in the middle of the city centre, from my house, without crossing a road!
    The house is situated on the banks of the River Ribble and the area is popular with runners, ramblers and cyclist in particular. In fact immediately at the front of the property is 'The Guild Wheel' which is a bespoke 26 mile cycle route that skirts the city of Preston....so watch out for those bikes!

    Our well maintained comfortable home & garden is set in the historic, picturesque village of Croston. The pretty village centre is only a 5 minute walk away. Croston has a supermarket, pharmacy, 5 traditional pubs, an Italian, Indian, Coffee Shop and Chip Shop.
    Our centrally heated home is bright, well maintained, well equipped & comfortable. We don’t charge a cleaning fee. There are two double bedrooms & a single bedroom. A family bathroom is upstairs & a shower room downstairs. We have WiFi & free view TV. The lounge area benefits from a gas real flame effect fireplace. Our enclosed sunny garden has a patio set & our drive has parking for up to 2 vehicles.
    Our home is in a lovely village but it is also well located for touring. We are around an hour to the Lake District & Yorkshire Dales. Liverpool & Manchester are easily commutable. We are also well placed for Aintree & Haydock racecourses. For keen golfers we are within 40 minutes from Birkdale, Royal Lytham & other links courses.
  • This house was a perfect home from home: spacious & sparkly clean with lots of nice touches. I visited with 2 small children & there was a high chair, stair gate & box of toys which was great. Steve made contact regularly beforehand and was easily available for any queries during our stay. We were visiting family so didn’t explore the local area but the welcome pack was available and packed with information about local anenities. The area itself was quiet & overall we couldn’t have asked for any better. Thanks again Ann& Steve!

  • Well what can we say. Ann & Steve's house is tucked away in a quiet little cul-de-sac in the lovely village of Croston. There are large supermarkets under 10 minutes drive away. The house itself was perfect for us (three adults and two children). We used it as our base whilst our daughter had a National Martial Arts grading in Liverpool, which was under an hour away. The house was super clean and very well equipped. Previously we have stayed in Premier Inn's local to Liverpool but a family of four in one room was becoming far too stressful, so my sister suggested an Air BnB. We'll never look back :) It was such a pleasant experience from start to finish. Ann & Steve's communication throughout was brilliant. They gave us so much info leading up to our stay and checked in with us that everything was OK once we got there. It just made everything so easy. I can't recommend them highly enough.

The house has all the comforts a family could ask for large well equipped kitchen, dining area, bathtub and more. It is warm and everything is in working order. The hosts were excellent in communication. We have not met them in person but they made sure that everything ran smoothly. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone without hesitation.

The house is very spacious and has all the home comforts you need for a family, there is a wonderfully sized kitchen that has all the amenities and accessories you need, a separate dining area, comfortable lounge, 3 nicely sized bedrooms, separate bath and shower with instant running hot water. Steve's communication was 1st class, very quick and accurate. Local amenities are good with restaurants, shops and a supermarket all nearby. Located in a quiet cul-de-sac with off-street parking and well situated for visiting Blackpool & Southport, with just enough distance to leave the noise of the sea-side behind. Also while here, a visit to Leyland is recommended to check out the significant transport history (our son loved this, especially the fire engine display). We had a great time and I would definitely recommend this home without hesitation, we will certainly be back again. Thank you Anne & Steve 5*

  • Really liked staying at Ann and Steve’s place, it’s in a very nice area, and it’s at the end of a cul-de-sac so very quiet. The local area was very nice with some great pubs and a good Indian restaurant. The house itself is like the tardis, looks small from the outside but the bedrooms, kitchen and lounge were very roomy. The house is nicely decorated and is bright and smart, it was immaculately clean, and was equipped with everything you’d need for a longer stay for a week or two (we were only there for two nights) and everything was in a good condition, and worked well including the central heating and wifi. Steve and Ann’s communications before and during our stay were excellent, very friendly, and informative, and they responded quickly to my questions but also included tips of where to eat or go for drinks. I would definitely stay here again if I’m ever in the area and would definitely recommend Steve and Ann’s house to other air bnb-ers!

  • The Owls was perfect for our stay in the area which we were visiting for a family celebration. Bev was there when we arrived and showed us round. The farmhouse is very comfortable & family friendly - our grandchildren had loads of space and we didn't feel 'precious' about protecting the furniture etc. They loved Darcy the dog and chatting to Bev who took them to see the calves at the farm opposite. We loved the mix of old traditional and the modern and having the big traditional wood stove. The kitchen is great with plenty of equipment. Thank you Simon and Bev

    The Lodge is totally private and comfortable with it’s own kitchen and modern bathroom suite. Private entrance and parking. Patio doors opens onto beautiful garden setting. Table and chairs are set outside the door for those pleasant mornings. Only 1 min walk from our local hostelry which offers a large menu of quality pub food from 6pm - 8pm. Situated not far from Southport, convenient for Preston, the Lake District, Blackburn, East Lancashire, Blackpool, & Manchester
    The room is homely and nicely decorated with a comfortable sofa looking out onto the garden. In the warmer months, listening to the birds through the open patio doors is very relaxing.
    The neighbourhood is fairly quiet but there are plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants in the local area.

Set in a beautiful countryside location but within easy reach of the M6, M61 and M65. Local villages include Croston and Eccleston, perfect location to enjoy boutique shops and excellent home made food in the local pubs and restaurants. A superb location for Manchester, Southport, Blackpool and the Lake District all within an hours drive.
    There is a patio area and large garden. All enclosed by electric gates, so secure for smaller children.
    Our bungalow has previously been described as a ‘haven of serenity’. The location is ideal for those wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of city life but still be close enough to lots of entertainment.

Emma’s little bungalow was great - really spacious for the size, lovely and stylish and I cannot fault how clean the place was. The sofa bed was made up already for our girls on arrival, and the bed in the master room was lovely and comfy. The location was good for if you need direct links to Southport and surrounding areas and was fairly easy to find. Would definitely recommend!

  • One of my favourite Air BnBs yet. The cinema room is fantastic and the pictures don’t do the size of the tv justice, it’s huge! Had everything you’d need to stay for several days including cooker, fridge/small freezer, microwave, plates, cutlery etc. The kitchen is actually bigger than it looks in the photos, too. The bed is super comfy and the walk-in shower is fantastic. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Brilliant value for money.

    On a main road. A short walk into Horwich Town Centre and a Middlebrook is about a 20 minute walk away. Bolton Town Centre is 5-6 miles away. There is bus stop about 30 seconds walk from the house and 2 nearby train stations; Manchester City Centre is approximately 30 minutes away.
    I work in Cambridgeshire and come home some weekends. The house may be shared with other Airbnb guests as there are 3 other bedrooms listed. You’ll have your own double bed and share the main bathroom (power shower only, no bath) with 2-3 others but there is another WC on the same floor to use too, so there should be no queuing! Let me know if you need any towels/toiletries before your arrival.
    Although on a busy main road I’m at the quieter end. The neighbours are lovely and friendly.

We are a few minutes stroll away from the local restaurants , coffee houses, bars and retail gift shops. We are ideally located for access to Preston Centre and all nearby villages , Southport and Lytham .

    Penwortham is a lovely place to stay we have lovely selection of restaurants and bars and coffee shops . The village hosts monthly farmers markets the first Saturday of every month , Penwortham live music weekend normally in May , gala day in June ,bonfire firework display and December a fantastic evening Christmas market .(See South Ribble Borough council website for events) We are very close to all main transport links and motorways. We are an ideal home for short breaks and anyone working in Lancashire.

The town center has something for everyone in terms of dining and relaxing. There are many restaurants, take- aways and coffee shops . Most of the takeaways in the area deliver. There are a variety of pubs including popular gin and craft ale bars. We are 30 mins from the Michelin starred restaurant Northcote and approximately 45 mins away from the 2 Michelin starred The Barn at Moor Hall, Aughton. We are close to several large supermarkets, such as Lidl, Aldi, Morrisions and Tesco. We are close to the mainline west coast train station - which is approximately 10 mins walk away. We are also just off the M6, M61 and M65 motorway. The town centre is approximately 15-20 mins walk. We are ideally located to explore the following: Blackpool, Lytham St Annes (35 mins drive) and in particular the annual Lytham Proms, Lancaster (42 mins drive), the Lake District, Clitheroe (37 mins), Southport (40 mins), Manchester (50 mins) and Liverpool (1 hour) - all easily accessible by car, bus or train. We have a couple of local parks, for those that like to get out and about - Cuerden Valley Park is ideal for walking and Worden Park is great for kids, but also has an historic centre, with a maze, coffee shop and local craft/gift shops. We are also near to Astley Hall & Park, Samlesbury Hall and various other National Trust properties. Leyland has a leisure centre, which is open to the public for swimming and other activities.
