  • Had a lovely 2 night stay at Monika’s clean and cosy place. She had fruits and crisps in a bowl which was a thoughtful gesture and best of all was the privacy I had which is much needed after a long day at work. Thank you again, Monika.

You’ll love my place because of the location, the mountain views, and the cosiness. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, small families, and well behaved furry friends (pets). Our newly refurbished cottage is located on the side of Minera mountain but only a few minutes from Wrexham. Just 20 minutes from Chester, 10 minutes from LLangollen. We're ideally located for the many North Wales attractions providing lots to see and do in the local area for all ages.
Our Cottage is just a few minutes walk away from the village pub and restaurant which has garden facilities and is dog friendly. Opposite the Cottage is a cute little play park and there are lots of really lovely local walks just a step away. Our Cottage is ideally situated for keen walkers and dog owners.
We are located within a two minute walk from a bus stop which will take you into Wrexham.
  • A thoroughly lovely cottage that was ideal in location. It was lovely and clean and Christine reached out before we arrived given that we were arriving in the middle of a storm she had some lovely treats in the fridge for us. It was a cosy ideal cottage and well worth the money.

    Leeanne2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • If you're thinking about booking here - just do it now! It's cute, it's cosy, and perfectly placed if you want to get out and explore. Christine was so welcoming to me and the dogs and I felt straight away at home. Lots of lovely touches in the cottage to make you feel relaxed, and it's so peaceful and quiet you'll have the best nights sleep! A great number of dog walks right on the doorstep - I really didn't need to use the car for a few days, and there's a pub and shop really close, so it actually couldn't be easier. I would highly recommend!

  • Pictures on website are accurate. Good room space and very comfy bed. Easy to find, 5 min drive from train station. Very lovely area. Good clean space all around the house. House is often lively during the week but is always quiet but 8-9 pm. Near enough to shops (30min walk Morrison’s). However the cooked evening meals are definitely worth it, Beck is an amazing cook. Overall very pleasant stay and better than expected.

  • Great location, lots of lovely dog walks around. The cabin had lots of nice touches for example there was milk and orange in the fridge. The cabin was really cosy, just wished we’d had the time to try out the sauna.

    Bev2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Just Wow 🤩 The perfect little retreat ! Stay in, go walking or relax in the sauna this place has something to offer everyone. Our dogs loved the fresh air and private garden. Great restaurants either in walking distance or some hidden gems 15 minutes drive away. The hosts leave you in peace but can be contacted if needed. We really enjoyed our stay and the underfloor heating makes the cabin super cosy. Thank you for a fantastic experience x

  • Fantastic little place, spotlessly clean, stylish, comfortable. Heather gave clear directions and texted us to make sure we were okay . Fantastic host that thinks of everything! The cottage was full of little touches and we were not short of anything.

    Nicole2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wondering stay at Heather's place. The location is beautiful and we found plenty of places to visit as the cabin is full of leaflets for local attractions. The cabin was the perfect space for a long weekend and spotlessly clean and stylish. We will definitely be visiting again.

    Emma2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great views, clean comfortable contemporary space. Underfloor heating made it very cosy. The Sauna was great

    Nick2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Heathers Place is an amazing little getaway with amazing views, great little touches like the sauna and so many other thoughtful additions like heated flooring throughout. These all contribute to a really incredible stay and even the pooch enjoyed every moment. Thanks again Heather!

    Tony2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Very quiet, warm and cozy. Great view of mountain. Some nice walks, very close to ‘Worlds End’. Dogs loved it their own back garden and field beyond if you let them get too inquisitive.

    Jamie2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great cabin with gorgeous views. Sauna is lovely after a long day walking the many trails! Also, pet friendly! Our dog was very appreciative of the heated floors and private garden. Will definitely be back.

Get away from it all in our quirky shepherds hut set in it's own meadow in the Welsh hills. Mains electric, running hot and cold water, ensuite toilet and shower, small kitchen with twin induction hob, double bed, fridge, bedding and towels and secure barn for bikes etc
Beautiful views, a cosy fire and everything you need to get away from it all. A perfect base for exploring north Wales and Chester. Spend the evening at the local pub and walk back to listen to the owls and look at the stars!
Minera is a small village on the edge of the Clywdian range. The village pub is a 5 minute walk away.
  • Helen’s place is really great, the wood burner keeps everything really warm (sometimes a little too much) and the space is full of little touches that make it extra special. The hut is really easy to find and a 5 minute walk to the local pub, and some really nice local walks that are right in the doorstep or a short drive away. We really enjoyed our stay with Helen and Chris and will look to come back if we need a quiet getaway, thanks again!

    Andy2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely weekend - we wanted somewhere cosy to stay and the hut definitely provided that! The wood burner is a fab touch and we definitely needed it as it went down to -2 overnight, we were plenty warm enough with the little wood burner going! Beautiful location and amazing hospitality, highly recommend this as a place to stay!

    Suzanne2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • The Hut is a quirky, unique and tranquil place. I highly recommend a stay here ,if you want to just unwind from it all... no Wi-Fi, no tv and no noise so peaceful cows gently grazing , mooing and the soft church bells Sunday morning bliss. Unless you want to got to the local a really friendly pub very welcoming and reasonably priced. A good base for visiting the local attractions. The log burner is an excellent touch for those cold nights. Highly recommend the breakfast pack and chocolate pack both of which are locally sourced. Thanks Helen, we will come again.x

    Raymond2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy, with a really efficient wood burning stove. Perfect location for country walks or Chester and Liverpool are just a short distance away.

    Jane2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • If you're undecided, stop, just book here you won't regret it! The hut is beautiful, peaceful, cosy and there is something very special about this magical little corner! Needless to say, we loved our stay. Helens communications and directions were spot on, I'd definitely recommend the breakfast pack and the chocolate pack. The hut makes as perfect a base for relaxing surrounded by nature as it would for exploring the area. Good amenities nearby, the Chinese in Coedpoeth does cracking chips! Also would recommend popping over to Llangollen (the motor museum is ace) and Trevor (go see Jones the Boat) All in all, we had a lovely stay and look forward to returning :)

    Vicky2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful peaceful little getaway, not far from amenities and a pub. Perfect for a quiet relaxing time away. Could not have been happier with choosing this lovely hut! Helen was wonderful with her communication, the breakfast pack was a lovely touch and delicious. Certainly will go back when the batteries need a recharge and some relaxation!

    Sian2019-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • Annette and Terry were especially great hosts, from greeting me made me welcome in their beautiful home which integrates many international themes. Terry walked me to the pub on a couple of occasions with the dog over the dark fields to ensure I got there safely. Lovely touches at breakfast with hints of the old style B&B! Also special porridge was great! Truly special and relaxing place to stay.

  • Hello everyone. We've been at Roxi's house only for one night. She was really kind and wellcoming. Her home is clean and tidy. For the animal-lovers she have the most sweet dog in the world. Roxi is a good listener and easy to talk to. She is also an amazing artist. You can see everywhere her selfpainted vintage furnitures. We really enjoy our stay and if we had a chance will be back again.

The Cabin is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Picturesque walks and cycling on the doorstep. Canalside, so no roads or cars to worry about.
Small cosy space, only 1.8m by 4.8m. but warm and quiet. Television and internet with tea and coffee.
Beautiful scenery, wildlife amazing. On clear nights stars take your breath away.
  • The accomodation was lovely, well kept and quirky! Karen was brilliant especially given the weather at the time of staying! (Storm Dennis). All in all brilliant stay, lovely place, people and location!

    Robert2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic location. Short walk into town along the canal and excellent access to the surrounding areas

    Neil2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • One of my favourite places to stay in Llangollen. It's right on the canal. Lovely and warm in the winter and the beds really comfy. Lots of thoughtful touches too and very welcoming.

    Bonnie2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy canal-side cabin with double bed & tea/coffee making facilities. Shower & toilet in separate small outbuilding next to the cabin. Bird feeder outside the window brings lots of small birds. Amazing views of surrounding hills.

  • This was our second visit to the beautiful dwelling of Karen and Chris. They are dear people and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. I highly recommend this stay. Can't wait to come back and see them again.

    Vanessa2019-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • What a superb, quirky place to stay! Very compact, but didn't spoil our stay. Karen the host was there to greet us, and was eager to say she was on call for any needs- although we didn't need anything from her. The situation is idyllic, with direct access to the canal towpath, and would be a lovely walk in daylight! (We walked into Llangollen- about 25minutes- in the dark, and it was a bit hairy! Glad we did it though.) The wet room is separate from the living space, but very close, and there is also access to a fridge, microwave etc, also outside. Bed is super comfortable, and there are fab views to wake up to. If you are looking for something 'different' then this is most definitely the place for you! Thank you, Karen!

  • One of the best experiences I’ve had on AirB&B (out of around 10). I stayed at Diana’s whilst in Wrexham for work, and despite booking in at very short notice she was very quick to respond. Check in was smooth, the house is lovely - warm and homely with a nice shower, good bed and thoughtful touches, like shampoo and snacks! Would definitely stay again.

    Rhi2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Diana was very friendly and helpful. Her place is really clean and nicely decorated. The guestroom was nice and cosy. The location is really good as well, about 5 minutes walk form the train station and in a very quiet residential area. I will stay at Diana's place again.

    Pilar2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable room with a very friendly welcoming host. Diana made me feel at home from the minute I arrived and I will definitely be staying with her again when I am working in the area. This was my first Air B&B and Diana made it a very positive experience that will be hard for others the beat. Thank you Diana 😊

    Michelle2019-12-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. Diana is a very welcoming host, spotless house and easy location for getting out and about. Would highly recommend.

  • Great airbnb experiences! Diana and her family are super great host! 5 mins walk from Wrexham General station and close to tennis centre. Room is clean and comfortable. Diana provides good choices for breakfast and I had a great relaxed coffee time with her family (including Rosin) on my 2nd night when I back from tired tennis work. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone for Wrexham!

Yr Hen Gapel Bach is a self-contained annexe of Yr Hen Gapel, located in the picturesque village of Ffrith. The stone house was built in 1838 as a chapel and later converted into cottages. It is a perfect location for walking, cycling, fishing, riding and generally exploring North Wales and the surrounding areas. We are a short drive from the historic market towns of Mold and Ruthin, Llangollen, home to the International Eisteddfod, and the beautiful city of Chester.
The annexe is accessed from a side entrance and is independent from the main house. The open plan downstairs living space is a room of character with a large stone inglenook fireplace and exposed beams, a dining area and well equipped galley style kitchen. Upstairs are two double bedrooms and bathroom. All windows are casement style to provide egress in case of emergency. The gardens are full of interest and bisected by the River Cegidog, and 2 acres of deciduous woodland. There is a raised decking area that provides a view of the village. Guests are invited to use the host’s garden and garden furniture during their stay, and firewood is available for use with the wood burner. Parking for two average-size vehicles is available on the driveway; additional parking is available on the high street, a short walk away. A lockable shed is available for guests to use to store bicycles, plus outside water hose for cleaning them down (please ask when booking).
Ffrith occupies the valley floor where Nant y Ffrith converges on the River Cegidog which runs through our garden. A delightful 18th century packhorse bridge (grade II listed monument) adjacent to the property provides a glimpse of history on the doorstep. The house is located on the edge of the village on a quiet, no through road. Lovely walks and bridleways are on the doorstep. Village community centre is a few hundred yards away. It has a large playing field and a range of play equipment. The community centre also hosts a range of events throughout the week, including a Friday morning cafe with home made cake! The village local, 'The Poachers', is a cafe and bar open on Fridays and Saturdays, however please note that they are closed from end Aug for a few months whilst they refurbish the interior. There is a great pub/restaurant in the neighbouring village of Llanfynydd (1 mile), 'The Cross Keys', open Thursday - Sunday.
  • Amanda and Guy’s place is BEAUTIFUL. We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing stay. Nothing was too much trouble for them, they even let us play with their two adorable dogs whenever we wanted to, which was a real highlight for us! Tarron is an absolute bundle of joy! We found check in to be very straight forward and as soon as we walked in to the property, were met with a lovely bunch of fresh flowers on the dining room table, we thought that was such a lovely little gesture. The place is spotless and there’s a really cosy feel to it which is down to the gorgeous interior of the place - the pictures do not do it justice! The garden is also stunning, we sat outside one evening and had a glass of wine and just listened to the river flow and the birds tweeting, it was so relaxing. We also took advantage of the lovely fireplace which was already pre-stocked prior to our arrival and ready to light - perfect! Couldn’t recommend the place enough! Thank you Amanda and Guy!

    Emma2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was a beautiful place to stay. So clean and fresh, lovely cosy bedding and Amanda so kindly provided everything we needed including milk for teas and coffee. Wish we could have stayed longer to explore the area more but we did notice lots of handy tips on places to go were written in the guide book.

    Sky2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Amandas. She was really welcoming and gave us some great ideas for things to do in the local area. The cottage is really cute, beautifully decorated and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Lots of board games in the house which we took advantage of! Would definitely recommend

    Nicole2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing stay at Amanda’s place. She was so welcoming and made us feel right at home! Great place with everything you need and lots of wood for the fire! Super comfy beds and nice and warm for our cold January stay! Will definitely stay again when we are in town!

    Amy2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures don’t do this place justice. The whole place is well decorated and really clean. Kitchen has everything that you need. The decking on the other said of the stream is the perfect place to sit with a morning coffee with the sun shinning on it. Hosts are lovely and had good communication throughout our stay. Will defiantly recommend and will hopefully stay again on the future

    John2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful place to stay for a family. Amanda and guy asked if there was anything they could do to make the place best suited to our children. They decorated the place with a Christmas tree and left a little chocolate treatfor the children. A little personalised note was left to welcome us. The cottage is spotless, comfortable, warm and the the wifi is good especially for the area. Brilliant place , well deserving of their super host status

    Lorna2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is beautiful. Everything about our break was perfect. And Amanda & Guy are fantastic hosts, the finishing touches to this cottage make it outstanding

Hello and welcome to our beautiful home and its single rooms we call Pods. Located just outside the back door, they are well designed and compact with a single bed, a wardrobe, bedside cupboard and a wooden -desk, (wifi available). There is hot and cold running water with a Moroccan sink and towels provided! It is a self contained room with a view to the lovely Lily pond and Garden. It's a very private space. A kitchen is available for your use with fridge & freezer, microwave, etc.
Our home is a unique creative space for anyone who loves art, music, good food and Nature. The rooms are very cosy with a single bed, wardrobe, computer desk space and a sink with hot and cold running water. The sound of the water trickling into the pond nearby is very soothing. We provide keys for both the room and the front door. Shower room and WC close by, as is the kitchen, lounge and conservatory for the use of all guests. The stunning Garden is open to you with lots of space to get inspiration and peace. An infra-red sauna is also available. Our home has been lovingly developed over the last 25 years, the garden has some beautiful Trees planted 23 years ago, a mixture of Bonsai, a small pond, a fernery, a loggery, a variety of influences but it's still a work in progress. It is our beloved Home. We live on the premises and are happy for you to share our downstairs space. We welcome everyone, please enjoy your stay.
We are situated in a quiet residential area and the house is set back off the Road, plenty of parking and close enough to town to walk almost anywhere. The Lemon Tree Restaurant is very nice just 5mins walk, as is a Chinese take away if you like that sort of food, and a 24 Spar also at the end of our road. Its safe where we live, but it can get rowdy in town at night!!
  • Cosy room, very warm with all you need, nice kitchen with plenty of fridge space, great shower too

    Ashley2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing artists haven. A beautiful family house that felt eclectic warm and loved. Gabrielle and Chris were great hosts, baked amazing bread for breakfast and the sauna was perfect for a cold November night. A great stay, I will definitely come again next time I'm up.

  • Garieles house and the garden are lovingly and artistically designed. Many beautiful perspectives ... She welcomed us in a very friendly and warm-hearted way. Gabriele and Chris were happy to help with all our questions. They gave us great advice for our trip. Great tips for restaurants, driving and parking, hiking and that was beautiful. Also for our onward journey we got some. We were allowed to use the kitchen and furnishings. We were able to cook our dinner. The breakfast was very good u. plentiful. We slept in a garden bedroom (Glamping). A lovingly furnished wooden room, a whole page only with a thick curtain geschlossen.Bei good weather, so you can enjoy the whole garden space (closed). Even in bad weather, with us it was raining, it is an experience ....! (and we did not freeze)

  • The Studio at Golly Farm was beautiful! We will definitely be returning. Mandy offers 5* accommodation and services for real value for money. Mandy offered a warm welcome, quick responses to questions and was very flexible with us; a brilliant service. The surroundings are superb and the Studio itself really is a home from home, with a large bed, sofa bed, dining area, TV and feature fireplace. The kitchen is well equipped with a microwave, oven, fridge with crockery, cutlery and utensils. Mandy offers a supply of tea, sugar and coffee and even baked a delicious Orange drizzle cake for our arrival. The bathroom is lovely and shower is really powerful. Overall a great stay. Thank you

  • This place is stunning and Mandy is a fab host , lovely little touches which Mandy didn’t have to do . Would recommend this place to people of all ages .

  • Airbnb, the site that keeps on giving...! Another fabulous find in Rossett where Mandy, our perfect host, couldn't do enough to help. A big smiley welcome (even when we rocked up after 8pm) accompanied by home made orange drizzle cake! The Studio at Golly Farm Cottages was perfect for our weekend stay - a lovely open space, super comfy king size bed and a kitchen with every amenity you needed. Oh, and a shower to die for! Thanks Mandy, my boys and I really enjoyed our stay and I'm sure we will be back soon!

    Geoff2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Really wonderful accommodation in a beautiful setting. The studio is spacious, comfortable, and stylish. We regularly visit the area for family and will now always try and stay at Mandy's (if we can book it - I imagine it's a very popular place!). Thank you Mandy for everything Mandy!

The holiday accommodation is attached to the main house but is completely separated. It has its own entrance so guests can come and go as they please. Access is along a driveway from the road and there is plenty of room for parking. A pathway leads from the parking area, round the building to a courtyard and the entrance. usage
The private entrance opens into a kitchen/diner which is fully equipped with new appliances. Stairs lead up to the bed/sitting room with en-suite bathroom and separate dressing room. There are also benches set out within the garden and guests are welcome to stroll around or simply sit out and relax. In warmer weather we provide patio table and chairs in the courtyard where you can enjoy relaxing or open air dining.
We are in a rural location, the house stands in almost 3 acres it is detached and surrounded with garden and fields. There are no immediate neighbours, so you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. You have free access to the garden. Although there are no pubs or restaurants in the immediate location, there are several to be found a short journey away. If it is a quiet and peaceful setting that you want, we have it, with lovely views in all directions from the house. There are also lots of interesting places to visit close at hand.
  • Lovely hosts and a spotless little living space, perfect whilst working away with all the required amenities. Accommodated me at late notice and was very welcoming. Take a stash of pound coins for the electric meter

  • David’s place is still as fantastic as the first time we stayed. Amazing hosts and a beautiful place with great amenities.

    Kathryn2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is our go-to when we’re in the area, which has been quite a lot in the last 12 months. It’s like home from home, with freedom to cook if we wish. We stayed nearly two weeks this time and were warm, cosy and comfortable.

    Jackie2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • This home is absolutely beautiful. It is clean and cozy and has everything needed to be comfortable during your stay. It is in a rural area so you will need a car but with a car it is very easy to get anywhere including the Ruabon train station if you wish to take a longer day trip. There are car parks at the majority of places and parking is for the most part not a problem. Let me suggest the app Here We Go because you can download the maps of whatever country you are at and it works as a proper gps, offline. David’s property is worth the driving and I absolutely would recommend it and plan to once again make it my base hub when I return.

    Tiffany2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • Had a wonderful stay at Plas Eyton over Christmas. It was an absolutely beautiful, cozy and inviting stay with everything we needed for a home away from home. David was very accommodating and left some goodies for us as we arrived Christmas Day when the shops were closed which was a godsend! Especially the coffee!! thank you David !! The photos don’t do the beauty of the place justice, double windows on on all sides facing acres of green English countryside, perfect to wake up to and lie watching with a coffee. The perfect escape. Would recommend 10/10.

    Joni2019-12-28T00:00:00Z

  • Great place to stay if you’re going to Wrexham. Quiet, rural area, great amenities and very comfortable place to stay. David was great and accommodated my late arrival. Nice touch leaving some eggs from his hens too. Would recommend.

There was plenty of space for our travel cot without us falling over ourselves. It was a convenient location for visiting Chester but much better value than staying in the city itself. Lovely views.
