  • A stay in one of Amber’s bell tents is an opportunity to spend some wonderful outdoor time, in touch with nature, whilst still enjoying life’s comforts. The barn in the glamping field has an array of games, such as table tennis, boules and badminton, as well as fishing nets for pond dipping, a bike to race around the grounds and some pen and paper activities. My kids were happy roaming and playing for hours on end without the need for organised activities. The tent itself is spacious and extremely well equipped. We wanted for nothing. And there are plenty of supplies to buy in the barn (via an honesty box system) to keep the BBQ sizzling and the log fires burning. Vases of fresh wild flowers and marshmallows to toast on the fire, were lovely thoughtful touches. The setting and location are excellent, with plenty of places to explore in the immediate surrounds and easy access by car to beautiful beaches and kids play parks. I spent the most amazing week here with my three children, bonding, laughing and snuggling. Absolutely beautiful times. Thank you 😊

  • I found both the host and the location idealistic both in the nostalgia and the cleanliness. The location next to the manor are an added benefit for use of walks, peace and space. I went with children who found plenty to do. I was concerned initially as i thought this place might only suit young children of ages 9 and under as we generally camp in go active locations. However, my children being teenage years loved it. There is lots of local activities to do including fabulous beaches. steam trains, zoos, and water sports. The site itself is not over crowded and lots of space - well balanced. We made some good memories here.

  • We had a very relaxing time in one of Amber's bell tents this July. The beds and linens make for the best night's sleep camping I may have ever had. We slept like babies! And she even put out beds for our two babies, speaking of which - a wonderful host. We also appreciated all the very useful local tips. Thanks, Amber!

  • Fantastic setting. Everything you need to live comfortably is in the tent. The inside stove is a wonderful addition. Amber was very easy to get through to and been extremely informative in the build up to our stay and during. Would highly recommend it for a group of friends looking for a comfortable green space break. Go see the seals at Blakeney point if you get the chance

Additionally, there is a sofa on the first floor for watching TV Wifi now up and running! Bedding is feather and Egyptian cotton, deep firm orthopaedic mattress with feather topper There is unlimited parking available on nearby roads but no private parking
Little Gem is the smallest freehold property in Sheringham. Best for short stays and slim guests with little luggage. Sheringham is one of the few places in Britain where you can see both the sunrise and sunset over the sea The bathroom is off the kitchen on the ground floor and the bedroom is on the first floor with ceiling open to the rafters so restricted head height in some places. The electric shower is not a power shower, please don't be disappointed. The accommodation is fresh with a seaside theme. We leave UHT milk, biscuits, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and sugar to welcome you. Soap, shampoo, Egyptian cotton bed linen, bath towels (please note no hand towels), hairdryer and iron are provided. There is a key safe which offers ease of access upon arrival. The property is only a few minutes from Sheringham beach. On road unlimited parking can be found on Cremer St and Cliff Rd, both very close by. There is also timed parking on the High St and a pay and display car park at the bottom of beach Rd. The Salvation Army car park is practically opposite Little Gem and if spaces are available, it would be possible to unload upon arrival. Parking may be limited during the peak holiday season and not always easy to find There is Wifi and a TV I do not allow pets
Sheringham is a vibrant, friendly seaside town. Beautiful golden sands and traditional beach huts, ice cream cones and bunting set the scene. Sheringham offers a wealth of things to do, with The Mo museum, Steam Railway with steam trains running frequently to Holt and Weybourne, Splash Swimming Pool and Golf Course. The thriving high street offers a wealth of independent stores, coffee shops and places to eat. Local attractions include, The Muckleburgh Collection, National Trust properties at Felbrigg and Blickling. From Morston and Blakeney take a trip to see the seals or simply enjoy being beside the sea.
  • Little Gem is a cosy, warm and well equipped modern space close to the sea and in a great location for exploring North Norfolk.

    Marion2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Absoloutely gorgeous. A very well located dwelling situated in the heart of the town and minutes from the sea. Beautifully decorated inside and lots of extra little touches for when you arrive. Everything was easy to find during our stay and a well equipped little home.

  • Fantastic stay! What an incredible space Little Gem is. Such a sweet, cosy yet modern place to stay. Location is great. Lots of places to eat/drink. Little Gem has everything you need, you could just turn up with a change of clothes! Kitchen & bathroom kitted out with everything you need. Extremely clean. Alison was in communication with us lots and provided a wealth of information. You won’t be disappointed if you stay.

    Louise2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place to stay. Very clean with lots of tips on where to go and where to eat. Great location just off of the High Street and is situated two minutes from the beach in one direction and the station in the other. Not much in Sheringham is open late in the off season (November - March) but there was plenty of places open in nearby villages if you have a car, or in Cromer, which was only a very short and cheap train ride away.

    Robin2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Little Gem is well named, it is very small! But that's part of its charm and Alison has somehow managed to cram in everything you're likely to need. It's a great place to stay for a visit to the north Norfolk coast, being in the heart of Sheringham means it's very close to some good local pubs, cafes, and restaurants and a short journey away from the other towns and villages along the coast.

    Steven2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Little Gem is just that, a compact but beautifully formed haven in a nice little seaside town. The ‘house’ is very clean, warm and well equipped. The linen is lovely and the bed comfortable.

    Wootton2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely little place (little is the word). Very clean, everything you need and right in the town centre so close to everything.

🌈 Recently featured in an article in Norfolk Magazine as one of Norfolk's top 8 Airbnb's with the following review; “If you’re fond of sand dunes and salty air you’ll love this old two-bedroomed fisherman’s cottage found just a short walk away from the shingle beach in Cley near Blakeney. The interior is whimsically decorated with lots of fun, local art on the walls. Guests talk of beautiful views across the marshland and the local deli as added perks". Also with high speed fibre optic WiFi!! ❤️
THE COTTAGE~ ⭐️Built in 1850, Mallard cottage is a two bedroom, two bathroom cottage with covered off-street parking in the heart of the village of Cley-next-the-Sea. Cley lies within the AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) and the North Norfolk Heritage Coast.🌈 🌷The master bedroom has a king sized bed, an ensuite shower room and loo and a really good view over the reed beds of Cley. The twin bedroom is a good size and a lovely room which looks over a very pretty part of the village (photographed, as is the view from the master bedroom).😍 🧚‍♂️The family bathroom is very nice and light and is also a good size, benefitting from a double ended claw foot bath. 🍎Downstairs is a fully kitted out open plan kitchen, dining and living area. There are characterful pictures and paintings all over the walls and some books and games to choose from. 🍭The house has been refurbished to a good standard and has high speed Fibre Optic WiFi and a full range of Sky channels including Sky Sports. It also benefits from double glazing and a very good, new boiler and heating system so you should be warm and cosy all year round. The cottage is the winner of a 4 star Best of Britain self-catering award. PARKING~ 🚘There is off street parking at the property which has it's own covered parking space clearly marked 'Mallard' (photographed for scale with the listing of the cottage). The turning into the arch way is very steep and the space is tight for larger vehicles so whilst Range Rover's have been known to park there (normal sized cars are fine) drivers of large vehicles who aren't comfortable 'manoeuvring' into the off street space can find plenty of parking near by. Old Post Office Lane gives pedestrian access to the Fairstead where there is free off street parking with no restrictions. There is also the Village Hall where there is a free and large off street car park with no restrictions.
Cley-next-the-Sea is one of the prettiest villages on the North Norfolk coast. It is on the River Glaven 4 mi (6 km) north-west of Holt (3 miles) and east of Blakeney (2 miles). It lies within the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the North Norfolk Heritage Coast between the villages of Wiveton and Salthouse. A few suggestions of things to do in and around Cley... The Wiveton Café is a must and is now open in winter as well having previously been solely open in spring and summer. It’s about a 15 minute walk or 3 minute drive from the cottage. Do check out their website. Artemis Cafe in Cley is always a good place from which to start a walk. turn right and right out of the cottage, it's about a 20 second walk away. They serve delicious coffee, cake, sausage rolls and salmon bagels directly behind Mallard Cottage and the famous coastal walk along the wall starts from their garden. The George in Cley does really good food, has really friendly staff and is about a two minute walk from the cottage. Picnic Fayre in Cley, less than a minute's walk from Mallard, is a fantastic deli with masses of locally sourced treats and depending on the season they serve really good homemade ice cream from a little hatch in the wall. Blakeney is about an 8 minute drive away or a beautiful hour and a bit long walk along the river wall. I never feel as if I've really had my 'Cley time' until I've done that walk. You don't need to go all the way if you're not big walkers but the look of the landscape and sky change almost hourly and and we never get bored of it. Cley beach is accessible by car (2 mins) or on foot (8-10 mins) if you turn left out of the cottage and through the village, past the windmill and you'll see signs for where to follow the path to Cley beach (also photographed with the images of the cottage). The Blakeney Hotel is probably the most 'get dressed up' place locally, although I have to admit we've never been as we never bring anything approaching the right wardrobe with us... It does look lovely and it has a good reputation and apparently stunning views. The White Horse also has a good reputation and is popular, with good food. I actually prefer the Anchor at Morston next to Blakeney. Blakeney is lovely and definitely worth a visit but it can be seriously packed with day-trippers in high season so at the risk of sounding like a snob, it's better to be a bit outside it and Cley is a much nicer place to stay... Morston and Blakeney also offer Seal trips which are really fun to do depending on the season so it's worth looking on local websites. 'Beans' seal trips is one of the companies. The Cley Smokehouse directly opposite the cottage serves amazing sea food. People travel from miles around to stock up on their crab and their fish soup so we are very lucky (it's pictured in the view from the twin room in the pics of the cottage). There are galleries and a lovely pottery and book shop in Cley, plenty of shops and galleries in Blakeney and some of the best birdwatching in Britain at Cley Spy and in Salthouse which is the next village in the other direction from Wiveton and Blakeney (turn left for Salthouse, in the same direction as you walk for the beach). There's also a great pub in Salthouse called the Dunn Cow with fantastic views across the marshes from the large garden and good food. For Bird Watchers the cutting-edge, sustainable visitor centre at Norfolk Wildlife Trust's Cley Marshes Nature Reserve is a must. It has it's own café and some of the best bird watching in the country. The Coast hopper bus has bus stops in both directions from outside Picnic Fayre (about a one minute walk from the Cottage). It runs a good and regular service although personally I prefer to walk as much as possible and everything I have mentioned is walking distance, obviously depending on what you consider walking distance to be/if you have toddlers etc. The marshes around Cley are internationally important for their populations of rare breeding and visiting birds. Cley Marshes bird reserve has been in the care of the Norfolk Wildlife Trust since 1926, making it the oldest county Wildlife Trust reserve in Britain. Among resident breeding birds are Avocet, Bearded Tit, Bittern, Marsh Harrier and Spoonbill. Winter visitors include Brent Geese, Wigeon, Pintail and many species of wading birds. Cley, like neighbouring Salthouse is ideally situated at the apex of the North Norfolk coast as a staging ground for passage migrants, vagrants and rareties of all kinds. An eco-friendly visitor centre opened in 2007 containing a café, shop, viewing areas (including viewing from a camera on the reserve), exhibition area, interpretation and toilets. The view from the visitor centre across the Marsh to the sea is breathtaking. Cley Marshes is the home of the Bird Information Service, publishers of Birding World. The shingle bank holds large numbers of Yellow Horned Poppy. The Grade I listed medieval church of St Margaret's, Cley is the largest church in the Blakeney area dating from (phone number hidden) Cley was once one of the busiest ports in England, where grain, malt, fish, spices, coal, cloth, barley and oats were exported or imported. The many Flemish gables in the town are a reminder of trade with the Low Countries. Some of the buildings that once lined the quay remain, notably the 18th-century Cley Windmill which was used as a backdrop of the 1949 film Conspirator with Elizabeth Taylor. Cley Mill has often been depicted by local artists and was the subject of a painting by the 20th century English landscape artist, Rowland Hilder. In the late 19th century Cley became a holiday resort. The poet Rupert Brooke was staying in Cley when news came that Britain had entered what was to become the First World War. Brooke had dreamt about the war and woke to find it a reality. He did not speak to his hosts all day until his host said, "But Rupert, you won't have to fight?" to which Brooke replied, "We shall all have to fight". We hope you will go ahead and book! I’m sure you’ll love Cley as we do! Melissa (✿◠‿◠)
  • We loved staying in Mallard Cottage! The cottage is so pretty and the living room area is really comfortable and cosy! We really appreciated the prosecco, milk and fresh flowers on our arrival - such a lovely touch! We will definitely book another holiday here! Great location for the beautiful North Norfolk Coast!

  • Really enjoyed our stay at Mallard Cottage in January. It has lovely interior decor and was warm and cosy. Really appreciated that basic things were provided and that there was milk in the fridge on arrival. The cottage is well located - we enjoyed going for bracing coastal walks.

  • Its the second time I have stayed here and I just find it very comfortable and I love the location. There is a private parking space for the house which is very handy and it's so quiet and has everything you need, it's also stylish and homely. I would certainly stay there again. Thank you.

  • Great little find. Perfect in January as it was quiet in the village- but the coffee shops were closed for the month. That was fine for us. Dangerous deli along the road (as in REALLY nice nibbles, etc... watch out for your budget!). There is a well stocked Spar in Blankey, 2min drive. Cley marshes visitor centre was wonderful- lovely warm, interesting cafe informative centre.

  • Spend Christmas here, what a wonderful cottage in cley. Had all we needed for our two night stay if though downstairs is cosy still felt like we had enough space for 4 adults and baby. Such a quiet village this time of year felt like we were the only people there. We walked up to cley beach which was nice over the marshlands. Highly recommend.

  • Beautiful annexe, easy to find, everything was made very easy and a great breakfast :-) Thanks very much. North Norfolk is a beautiful place to stay, a credit to you both.

  • Comfortable stay in a really quiet spot. Stylish small and self contained space. Chris was a friendly yet unobtrusive host. The space has a double bed and en-suite bathroom with shower. There is a coffee machine but no tea making facilities though when we asked Chris for a cuppa after a long day walking he was kindly happy to oblige. Breakfast was yummy, sourdough toast, croissant and homemade Bircher mueslis along with orange juice and tea. It’s super quiet at night meaning you’ll get a quiet night’s sleep. Thanks for a nice stay!

  • Stone Cottage is a delightful place, very quiet and with a pretty garden. The location is excellent, very convenient to reach Holt and the lovely North Norfolk coast with its wonderful beaches and birdlife, as well as visitor attractions such as Holkham Hall, Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, the bed comfortable and the bathroom excellent with a good shower. Christopher put two champagne glasses in the room when he knew it was my wife's birthday. Another nice touch is the small speaker which can link with mobile phones for music, etc. The breakfast was delicious. Christopher was there when we arrived to check in. He made us feel welcome and gave us some useful local information. Recommended.

Lovely little cottage for two in Blakeney near quay. Perfectly situated in centre of traditional village and near to great restaurants. The cottage has kitchen, sitting room, double bedroom with ensuite. Also private outside area
Good position near to Blakeney Point seal sanctuary. Wonderful walks. Great pubs and restaurants
Blakeney is one of the most beautiful and unspoilt coastal villages in England. The jewel of the Norfolk coastline it is full of traditional cottages and right on the coast, the traditional quay and mini beach are at the end of the road. The best beach in Norfolk, Holkham, is a drive of approx ten minutes along the coast. Lovely traditional seaside village with a traditional quay with boats coming and going, lovely walks along the salt marshes and coast, mini beach, great paddling, mini canoe hire for children. Crab fishing off the quay. The best beach is Holkham beach, very sandy and lots of space, sand dunes etc. This is to the left along the coastal road. Wells has a good beach as well and the village is nice for looking around. Going right along the Coast road are shingle beaches. Sheringham and Cromer. There is a pier at Cromer. Best shops are in Holt. Lovely old market town. There is a small supermarket in Blakeney within walking distance. Go down to the quay and turn left. Also a small variety of interesting shops. Places to eat within easy walking distance are two pubs child friendly, the Kings Arms and The White Horse. The Moorings for slightly more expensive meal, but they also do lunch and coffee. Two hotels that do food The Blakeney Hotel and The Manor, a lovely little cafe at the Methodist Church in the High St. for lunch and coffee, good value and children’s toys. Stately Homes to visit, Holkham Hall, Blickling and Sandringham. For a real treat Morton Hall, run by TV chef Galton Blackiston. In the summer you will find a caravan on the quay selling lovely crab sandwiches and also an ice cream shop near the quay. The harbour rooms usually have local bands at weekends. The village hall has antique fairs and there are often sales of crafts near the quay. The seal trip is a must. You can buy tickets at the bottom of the road.

  • We loved our stay in Cobble Cottage . it is just as described, small and cosy. Bed is comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need for 2 people. Great location in Blakeney. We look forward to going back another time.

  • We had a lovely stay at Veronica’s place, the location is perfect for exploring beautiful Blakeney. We booked very last minute and Veronica was very communicative and helpful. The accommodation was ideal for a weekend break being located right behind the deli for picking up breakfast supplies and a short walk to the local pub. Would highly recommend.

  • This was a snug fisherman's cottage that had been lovingly restored and tastefully furnished. It was convenient to stroll into Blakeney and had a very interesting deli just in front, which had a good mix of luxuries, like chocolate croissants and lots of local Norfolk produce. There was a great selection of wine, beer and locally sourced cordon bleu microwave meals which were definitely not your supermarket variety. Local parking was convenient and cheap. The rooms were a bit on the tight side for a 6 foot 2 man but had been laid out well to maximise use. The kitchen had pretty much everything you would need and it was a fun experience to stay in the cottage. It reminded me of many holidays spent locally as a child. Thank you Veronica. It's always impressive to see how many practical and tasteful touches have been thought of.

Three bedroomed period cottage close to quay in the lovely unspoilt village of Blakeney With a lounge diner with open fire, fully fitted kitchen and laundry room, a double, twin and treble bedroom, close to the Blakeney Point seals!
Blakeney is such a lovely unspoiled part of the British coast, with its timeless charm, beautiful scenery and lovely walks, it makes a holiday or short break a pleasure. The cottage is in the heart of Blakeney, not far from all the lovely places to eat and unusual shops.
We love the walks along the saltmarshes, Holkam, beach, ten minutes drive along the coast and the best beach in Norfolk. Cromer pier. Crabbing on the quay. Walking to see the seals at Blakeney Point, or taking a boat trip. Eating at the Mooring Bistro, in the same road. The observatory at nearby Salthouse. Cookies for an inexpensive seafood meal. The two steam engine lines and Thomas the tank engine for children. The sea museum and the shell museum. Nearby Holt with all the antique shops.
  • Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage. It is in an ideal spot for walking to all the village amenities and the gorgeous Norfolk Coast Path. In the house we found everything we needed for our stay and more, it is beautifully decorated and furnished, with all mod cons. Veronica is a great host - any queries we had were answered extremely promptly. I'd highly recommend this cottage, we will be back soon!

    Amy2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is lovely, and well equipped. It is cosy. We were 6, 3 adults and 3 children, and it was perfect for our stay. There isn't a lot of spare space, so it might have been tricky if we had been 7, for example, for fitting around the table at mealtimes. All in all we had a really lovely stay, and would definately go again. The cottage is perfectly located, and Blakeney is a really lovely village. The coast is beautiful. We had some lovely walks.

  • This is a lovely little cottage. It has everything necessary for a comfortable stay. The stairs are very steep - particularly to the third bedroom so probably not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. However, it made a lovely base for exploring the local area and we enjoyed our stay.

Our 15th C family home, sits in an acre of garden in the village of Plumstead. There is a luxury double bedroom with an additional bedroom. Relax and enjoy home cooked delights in the breakfast room before exploring the wonders Norfolk offers.
Church Farmhouse still has traces of its 15th Century origins. A large family home in brick and flint, it has countless features giving glimpses of the changes it has undergone throughout the ages. It sits in an acre of garden where old apple and plum (not forgetting the large white mulberry) trees stand beside borders full of colour and interest Through the gate there is a large striped lawn with a burgeoning veggy patch on one side, while chickens scratch way and lay their delicious eggs, on the other. Beyond, there is a grass tennis court and sweeping views of the countryside and our medieval church.
Plumstead is a remarkably peaceful village surrounded by farmland. It is just five miles from the striking Georgian town of Holt with its array of unique privately owned shops and restaurants. It also boasts a highly regarded Summer Festival at the end of July. North Norfolk is famous for its coastline with its fabled marshes that stretch from east to west. It is world renowned for birdlife with Cley just 20 minutes away. Beaches range from the traditional at Sheringham to the breathtaking expanses of sand and dunes at Wells and Holkham. For the more restless there is superb sea sailing at Blakeney and Morston or you may simply wish to take a trip to see the seals from either of these small harbours. We are lucky enough to have no less than four outstanding National Trust "properties" Blickling Hall, Felbrigg Hall, Sheringham Park (the rhododendrons and azaleas are exquisite) and finally Blakeney Point. For those who like to strike the little white ball you will be spoilt for choice for golf links, Sheringham being the pick. However, even the most seasoned campaigner, as the six foot putt is lined up for a half, may be startled by the sound of steam and the smell of smoke and ashes as a locomotive climbs the gradient on the North Norfolk Railway from Sheringham to Holt, offering spectacular views of the coast. Nonetheless we urge you to resist these delights for part of your stay, leave the car and explore the enchanting paths that take you through wildflowers and woodland that radiate out of our village. If you are a stargazer you will be in for a treat as the night sky is strikingly free of manmade light. If you would like to venture a little further afield we can lend you bikes so that you can meander down sleepy lanes and seek out our remarkable heritage of medieval churches.
  • Great hosts and lovely attention to detail in the accommodation, we would definitely return.

  • We just had a wonderful two nights stay at Mary and Johns beautiful home. We felt incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived and the hospitality was outstanding throughout. The rooms are beautifully decorated and cosy, with very comfy beds and soft linen. Tucked away up a secret staircase, it felt like we had the entire place to ourself. The homemade breakfast was one of the best we’ve ever had and it was perfect for our 19 month old son with lots of toys and all the necessary amenities he required left out for him. We look forward to coming back - Thank you Mary & John!

  • Just had the most fantastic stay at John and Mary’s beautiful home. They were incredibly hospitable, the beds were huge and comfortable, everywhere was spotlessly clean, lots of little touches like small vases of fresh flowers everywhere and their own soaps, shampoo and conditioner provided, the cooked breakfast was delicious as well as all the cereals and fruit, yoghurt, the hugest selection of wonderful teas, and they welcomed our dear dog like their own. It was great to have a whole wing to ourselves including our own little kitchen. Would definitely recommend and would love to return. Thanks again!

Oystercatcher is a charming, traditional two bedroom Norfolk fisherman’s cottage situated on the High Street just a short stroll from Blakeney Quay and all of the village amenities. Perfect for anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of day to day life this property has been recently updated and now has all of the modern requirements required whilst retaining every bit of its coastal cottage charm.
Upon entering the cottage in to a long entrance hallway you will find the living room on your right with a lovely, comfy sofa, and arm chair perfect for snuggling up in front of the gorgeous wood burning stove. In the corner is a dining table that will comfortably seat four. Neutrally decorated and opened up to the kitchen, this room feels very light, airy and welcoming. From the living room, down a small step is the traditional, small but well-equipped kitchen which has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a dishwasher and a fridge freezer. The kitchen is tastefully decorated and allows access back through to the entrance hall off which is the ground floor shower room and the door out to the wonderful enclosed courtyard garden which has a pretty table and chairs set, perfect for sitting and sipping a glass of wine on a warm sunny evening. Back inside and to the front of the house is the good sized double bedroom. Up the original, steep ‘Norfolk Winder’ cottage stairs from the sitting room is the large twin bedroom which looks out over the high street. This room has a good sized en-suite bathroom. There is a pull out bed that we can set up in the upstairs twin bedroom to sleep 3 guests. Extra charge applies.
Surrounding area Blakeney must be one of the most sought after coastal villages in North Norfolk. The whole coastal area, much of it owned by The National Trust, is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, attracting both sailing enthusiasts and ornithologists. The village retains a unique atmosphere with many of the old mariners’ and merchants’ houses remaining in its narrow streets with others tucked away in flint walled alleyways. The main street runs down to the Quay with its salt marsh and channels, with Blakeney Point beyond. There is a surprisingly wide selection of shops, public houses and hotels. A wider range of amenities can be found in the Georgian town of Holt, about 5 miles to the south.

  • Oystercatcher is a charming well sized cottage close to the centre yet very quiet. We always found parking outside and could easily walk to the harbour in 5 minutes. The cottage was very well stocked with everything, from corkscrews to a DVD player, enjoyed by the rustic wood burning stove. Michelle was an excellent host and was always quick to get back and help out with queries. We will certainly be going back, highly recommended.

  • Michelle fully deserves the title of super host and was attentive and helpful from the moment we booked. The cottage was clean, cosy and well-appointed and in a perfect location to explore the north Norfolk coastline. Fo’c'sle is a delightful detached timber clad retreat, located in the heart of the North Norfolk countryside just a short drive to the coast and one of North Norfolk's best restaurants, the Wiveton Bell, making it ideal for couples to both relax and explore this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Fo’c’sle, (pronounced Folksall), is an old fashioned word for forward castle, the part of a ship with the sailors' living quarters. Set in the heart of the glaven valley, you don’t have to worry about the sea conditions to enjoy this peaceful hideaway!. Attractively furnished with many of the finishing touches coming from the local potttery/gallery “Made in Cley”, the open-plan ground floor offers a well-equipped compact kitchen, a bright kitchen/dining area with double doors opening into the private courtyard and a cosy sitting room with wood burning stove. On the first floor you are greeted with a large bedroom with picture window providing lovely views over the church and valley and a comfy king-size bed and en-suite shower room. The cottage is looked after by the owners who live next door, who can give great tips on what to do and where to go in the local area. Nestled between the coastal villages of Blakeney and Cley-next-the-Sea, Wiveton is an ideal location to enjoy the beauty of the glaven valley with its wildlife, birdlife and walking opportunities, whilst being located just one mile south of the coast road. There is an excellent bus service operating along the A149 coast road, the 'Coasthopper' which is great for walkers in that the bus route shadows the Norfolk coast path. This enables one way walks to be undertaken with relative ease and is a great way of visiting the coastal villages without the need to use your car. The Wiveton Downs is a registered "Dark Skies" site where it is possible to see the northern lights, or aurora borealis, and this area of the UK boasts some of the darkest skies in the country being that it is unaffected by light pollution and so making it ideal for star gazing. Additional Information Two well behaved dogs are welcome (small additional charge). Unfortunately this property is not suitable for infants or children. The bed has synthetic bedding. Logs are provided for the wood burning stove. Ground Floor: Sitting room Ample comfortable seating, wood burning stove, flat screen television with Freeview and a DVD player. Kitchen A well equipped kitchen with slimline dishwasher, microwave, electric oven and hob with cooker hood over, under counter fridge with a freezer ice box. Dining room Dining table with seating for two guests and double french doors leading into the courtyard garden. Cloakroom Wash basin and WC. First Floor: Master bedroom A lovely bright room with king-size bed and a large picture window with views over the glaven valley and neighbouring property. En-suite shower room Walk-in shower, wash basin and WC. Outside: There is a west facing courtyard with terrace and lawn area, with ample garden furniture. Please note the the courtyard is not secure for dogs. Off-road parking for one car is available to the side of the cottage.
  • Cozy, warm and stylish comfortable cottage, perfect for two and one or two dogs. Lovely location for beach walks and a Michelin starred pub, serving the most amazing food. Friendly but unobtrusive kind hosts.

  • Fo'c'sle is a wonderful place to recharge your batteries and take it easy. We had a magical week there in February. Mornings were spent watching the birds through the window, and cosy evenings were spent in front of the log burner.

Rustic retreat on organic smallholding. Peaceful location on the Cromer Ridge with some of the best views in Norfolk. Starry skies with no light pollution. Hare and deer in the woods. Wood burning stove, microwave, toaster and kettle. Compost loo. Only three miles from traditional seaside town of Sheringham. In a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Great walking and cycling country.
  • This is a lovely place to stay. The hosts were friendly. We were worried we might be cold (stayed in February) but with the fire on it was super cosy. The stars at night were incredible.

  • A lovely place to stay, the hosts are incredibly friendly an welcoming. The hut is lovely, spotlessly clean and is set in a beautiful landscape. It is ideally located for many of the local visitor attractions and a great place to retreat back to after a busy day out. I can't recommend it highly enough and would definitely go back.

  • The cabin is exactly what it looks in the photos. It's very clean and an inviting space to be in. Beautifully quiet if that's what you want. Natasha and Anne are very easy to communicate with. I had a lovely stay there.

    Naomi2019-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Natasha's place is in a great location with a beautiful view of the Norfolk countryside. It is back to basics, with no shower or hot water, but if that is what you expect (like we did and as per Natasha's description) then you will love the place and the quiet and beautiful location and we can very much recommend staying here. The beach and the village of Sheringham are just a few miles north of Natasha's place, and are lovely for having a quick evening walk on the beach or having a late evening snack.

A super, secret hideaway on the outskirts of Weybourne village, tucked down a private drive, just a few minutes' walk from the beach, coastal path and village amenities. As the name implies, Mill End forms part of a converted water mill (and still has the mill stream running through the garden) and retains many character features, with beams, vaulted ceilings and traditional Norfolk pamment flooring. To take full advantage of the distant views and private nature reserve, the open-plan living area with balcony is on the first floor with the two bedrooms (double and twin) and bathroom on the ground floor. Mill End is a gem of a holiday property, and will suit all kinds of holidaymakers who enjoy beautiful, tranquil surroundings and looking for easy access to the coast and good local facilities. If you like walking, the coastal path takes you in an easterly direction to the coastal towns of Sheringham, and Cromer beyond - don't worry you can always catch the Coasthopper back! Just three miles inland, is the pretty Georgian town of Holt, a popular destination with a good selection of independent boutiques, galleries and restaurants. A bright and newly refurbished apartment, sleeping 5/6 right in the centre of Blakeney close to quay and near lovely restaurants and shops. Blakeney is a historic coastal village with seals just off Blakeney point. A unique part of old England.
Really unusual, spacious and comfortable apartment which has small outside seating veranda
Blakeney is part of England that has retained its individuality and charm Lovely traditional seaside village with a traditional quay with boats coming and going, lovely walks along the salt marshes and coast, mini beach, great paddling, mini canoe hire for children.
  • The photos don't do this place justice. Veronica's apartment is clean, cosy, spacious & absolutely charming. There are some stunning quirky features reflecting the age of the building which we loved. Check-in was easy and everything we could have wanted was available in the apartment. Location wise, I don't think you can get much better. Just a stones throw away from the quay, downstairs there is a delicious deli (we had an amazing breakfast one day!) and all the best restaurants and pubs are on your doorstep. Shower was great - hot and good water pressure. We wholeheartedly recommend staying in Veronica's place - best bargain we've come across in a while. Thank you for hosting us!

  • Great place to stay in a beautiful location, excellent value for money. Veronica has great communication and is very flexible with timings.

  • Lovely quirky spacious property in the centre of Blakeney. Very comfortable & warm.

    Tania2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely 17th century cottage in the heart of Blakeney. Although car parking not available at the cottage there is car park very close by. Lots of lovely coastal walks and organised boat trips to see the seals. Would love to come back for a longer stay!!

    Karin2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Right on the High Street above the deli, yet not at all noisy, we had plenty of space to relax. The kitchen diner is spacious and very well equipped, plenty of crockery and kitchen utensils if you need to do your own meal. Nice comfortable sitting room, again spacious for 4/ 5 people. Two bathrooms meant there was no queuing for the shower. Wonderful open spaces in Blakeney, ideal if you enjoy quiet walks with nothing but birdsong, miles and miles of footpath to explore. A delightful village, very good places to eat and drink and lots to explore further afield.

  • Dog Cottage is the perfect mix of a lovely old cottage with modern conveniences in a great part of Norfolk. It’s been beautifully renovated and has everything you need for a comfortable stay and more, such as the personalised Dog Cottage dog tag! Scott gave us lots of helpful info on the area and was on hand if needed. Our children (8 and 4) enjoyed it as much as we did. We can’t rate it highly enough and honestly didn’t want to leave this cosy cottage!

    Natalie2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is absolutely charming - we had a very very happy, warm and comfortable stay. Perfectly and generously equipped with everything we needed and more. Communication with Scotty was brilliant. Thank you for everything!

  • We would highly recommend staying at Dog Cottage, it is great! The log burner is perfect for cosy evenings.

  • Dog Cottage is beautiful! What a cosy retreat with beautiful touches and every convenience you could wish for to make your stay luxurious and wonderfully comfortable. Thank you for a really lovely stay - we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

  • Dog Cottage is exceptional. Cosy yet stylish, characterful yet contemporary - we wish we could have stayed for weeks! (In fact we actually tried to extend!). The hosts are wonderful in lots of ways - from their prompt communication and outstanding local information to the personal, tasteful design of their excellent cottage (thank-you!). We drove to so many great places from there in ~20 mins but one of the best days was simply staying in, watching dvds and cosying up on the sofa in front of a roaring fire. The kitchen and bathroom are beautiful, beds are suoer-comfy and the garden is so pretty. If you find this and it happens to be available - book it!

    Terry2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Everything works! If you cook, all the equipment and a good oven are there! The log burner is great for a chilly evening though the heating is good too. Excellent communication with the owner and loads of local knowledge for where our dog would enjoy. It really is a very old cottage but everything is bang up to date and good quality. A super host!

    Yvonne2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful cottage that is comfortable, stylish and has everything you could possibly need. The owners really have thought of everything! Communication with Scotty was outstanding and the surrounding area has lots to do. We will definitely be back!!

  • The Dog Cottage is a great place to spend your holidays or a short break. It is cozy, fantastically equipped and very tastefully decorated. It has everyting that you may need during your stay. We particularly loved the fact that the kitchen was fully equipped and it has all the pots and pans you need to cook real meals. The hosts were simply wonderful: they were very quick to answer during the reservation process, provided lots of very useful tips before arrival and their hospitality went beyond normal expectations. We had an issue with our car rental and they were kind enough to pick us up at the train station. Our experience was great and we can sincerely recommend staying at the Dog Cottage.

Satara is a newly built luxurious flint cottage located in a secluded section of the Jericho House property. It is an ideal location-only a couple of minutes walk to the village centre and 10 mins walk to the beach. It is a large 1 bedroom cottage, with a private patio & garden, situated under some beautiful horse chestnut trees. It is spacious, modern yet cosy, light and well appointed with new fixtures & fittings. There is under floor heating throughout the cottage, Wi-fi and off road parking.
Quiet neighbourhood, but very friendly. Only 2 mins walk from the (very good) local Pub and Village Store.
  • Satara is an amazing little cottage! Very cosy and done up perfectly with everything you need. Felicity and her family provided a lot of great tips and local knowledge that made it very easy to find places to go, things to do and tips on where to eat. We will certainly be visiting again. • As others have written, this is a very cosy and stylishly fitted cottage and we had a great stay. Comfy bed, great shower, excellent kitchen facilities. We thought it was even nicer than the photos suggested. Thanks Felicity, we hope to return next time we’re in Norfolk!

  • Satara Cottage was our base for 2 nights in February and was comfortable, warm and peaceful. The cottage is furnished to a high standard, was spotless and is perfect for relaxing. We appreciated all the local information provided and made the most of the local walking opportunities. The Ship Inn was a great find with its 100+ gins to try and the food is of good quality from a standard pub dinner menu. A great stay.

  • Beautiful cottage and in an amazing location!

    Hannah2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Top notch cottage, we could not have been happier. It was warm, cosy whilst stylish, roomy with the best amenities. Fully decked out kitchen and everything in the place was of a great quality. Felicity also provided additional bits and pieces for us and our toddler, which was just awesome. Further to this, you have complete privacy, and are situated in an idyllic village close to a beautiful coastline. What more could you ask for!

Stone Cottage, a delightful 200-year-old detached cottage, is reputedly the oldest house in the sought after village of Sharrington and was, at one time, the village post office. Full of character, the cottage has been renovated in recent years and, under the current ownership, has been transformed into a really lovely, welcoming and comfortable holiday property, with modern touches and quirky decorative bits and pieces. The age of the cottage means the beamed ceilings are on the lowish side, the stairs are quite steep (there is no handrail), and the width of the doorway to the twin bedded room is 'slimline'. There's a fabulously cosy open-plan living area, divided by a large double sided wood burning stove to keep you warm in the winter months. In the summer, there is a really lovely private, enclosed garden to enjoy. With three bedrooms and two bathrooms, the cottage will appeal to families and couples, who want to enjoy this beautiful part of rural North Norfolk. Just three miles from the ever popular Georgian market town of Holt, one mile from an award-winning farm shop and restaurant, and within easy driving distance of the beautiful coastal villages of Morston, Cley and Blakeney, there is something on offer for everyone. Additional Information Please note: The Apple television and Amazon Fire stick are accessible via the television - this gives full Internet TV and connection to BBC iPlayer. It is also connected to amazon Prime films and box sets. These are free of charge however guests are respectfully requested to not buy films that are chargeable or connect via their own amazon account. There is a sound bar under the television unit for Bluetooth connection that can be connected to play guests own music from a phone/tablet. Two well behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge). Norfolk winder stairs are, as with older character cottages enclosed, steep, curved and narrow. Here they are carpeted and have no hand rail. Ground Floor: Entrance porch A glazed entrance door leads you into the cottage. The porch has a quarry tiled floor, coat hooks and shoe rack. Entrance hallway The hallway has a tiled floor and there is a step down into the open-plan living area. Open-plan sitting / dining room A very cosy relaxing area, with antique agricultural finds adorning the walls. A brick chimney breast divides the room and houses the double sided multi fuel burner (a starter pack of fuel will be provided in the winter months). The ceiling is beamed across the room, being just slightly lower in the sitting area. There is a farmhouse style wooden table with six painted chairs in the dining half, and two comfy sofas with throws and cushions in the sitting half of the room. There is a wide screen Apple television and Amazon Fire stick, DVD player and board games for cosy nights in. Double glazed windows overlook the pretty garden. Kitchen A small but functional room, open to the dining/sitting room. Painted units house plenty of equipment and there is a bright red Smeg fridge/freezer for that retro feel. There is a Stoves induction cooker, slimline dishwasher and microwave. Utility/pantry A really useful room off the hallway, with shelving for food storage, and a place for the washer/dryer. Master bedroom There is a king size bed, painted wardrobe and matching bedside tables, a chest of drawers, and wall mounted bedside lamps. Windows overlook the garden. A light-filled, pretty room. Downstairs shower room A double shower cubicle, with glazed screen to one side, wash basin and WC. First Floor: Landing/study area There is a small landing area at the top of the stairs, where there is just enough space for a desk with stool and an easy chair - a good spot to read and write. Upstairs bedroom suite A door from the landing leads into a small room, with a 2'6"single bed, chest of drawers and easy chair. A further, narrow doorway, from within this room takes you into a twin bedded room with iron bedsteads, easy chair, chest of drawers and television. Due to sloping ceilings, there is some restricted headroom to both rooms. Bathroom A fully tiled room with white suite comprising bath, wash basin and WC. Outside: During the summer, there is a really lovely private, enclosed garden to enjoy. Gravelled area with table and seating for six. Further seating area under pergola with wicker furniture and fire pit.

Additional Information Well-behaved dogs are welcome (a charge of £30/dog is applicable), but are requested to respect house rules, and should always be kept under control within the forest to avoid disturbing the wildlife.
  • A real hideaway in the woods with the birds and squirrels! The lodge was lovely and much bigger than we expected. All possible equipment in the kitchen to satisfy any budding chef and a lovely open family area for socialising. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are cosy and clean. We found the location was perfect for exploring the North Norfolk coast with most trips we made within 15/20 minutes of the lodge. Holt is a lovely little town with some superb shops and eateries. We went seal watching via Beans Boat Tours - well worth the money. Also the steam train from Sheringham to Holt was a good experience. We were v lucky with unseasonably bright and warm weather for February which all added to our stay. We’d definitely recommend it to others looking for a peaceful retreat away from it all but within an easy short drive from the coastal towns.

Bird Box is a traditional Norfolk 'brick and flint' cottage which has recently been restored to reflect modern living whilst retaining its Victorian character.
Bird Box cottage is set in a little Square tucked behind Byfords Holt's landmark restaurant/deli . You'll be in the very heart of Holt with all the local shops and restaurants a stroll away. The cottage is a one bedroom Victorian terrace which has recently been sympathetically and lovingly restored.
Holt is a unique town with scores of independent shops and mouthwatering eateries. Bakers and Larners department store is a local landmark and its incredible food hall won the coveted National Food and Farming Award for best deli in 2019. The Black Apollo coffee shop is 'small but perfectly formed' and produce their own unique blends and roasts of coffee. If you like clothes you'll love Holt with boutiques brimming with treasures for your wardrobe! Holt is also very canine friendly and recently, 'Woofers and Barkers' a shop catering especially for our four legged chums opened on the High Street for the 'top dogs' in town.
  • This property exceeded our expectations. Immaculately clean and comfortable with extra special touches around the cottage; this was a true home away from home! This is the only place to stay when visiting Holt and the surrounding area. Kindest regards, Jamie & Jordan

  • We had a great long weekend in Holt. Bird Box Cottage is perfectly located tucked away in a quiet courtyard in the centre of Holt. The chocolates, home baked bread, mulled wine and treats for Murphy our cockapoo were really nice special touches. Thanks Nick and Liz x

Our beautiful grade 2 listed refurbished Georgian cottage is in the centre of Holt close to all the excellent shops, pubs and Byfords. The north Norfolk coast is just a couple of miles up the road with amazing views of Cley, Blakeney and Wiveton. The cottage is great for families and children and has a fantastic courtyard rear garden with outside seating and a bbq.
  • Lovely stay and great location. House was lovely just took a bit of time to heat up!

  • What a gorgeous cottage and beautiful surroundings....local amenities and ease of communication with both James and Jenny was brilliant. A wonderful place to explore such beautiful places, towns, beaches and tasty places to eat and drink...and then so cozy to come back and put the wood burning fire on. We are a family of four and our holiday was loved by us all....and we are already planning when we can next return. We would highly recommend this place.

  • Lovely stay in Holt, the house is lovely and the owners were brilliant at communicating. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Thank you.

    Abbie2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here as a family of 4 - it's such a lovely little cottage in a brilliant location. Has everything you need with the bonus of being able to BBQ in the back yard. Parking restrictions are a bit of a pain but not too restrictive. We tended to park outside overnight, move down the road at 9am then bring it back when we headed out later in the morning with arms full of beach/kids stuff! The surrounding area is so nice and lots to do in easy driving distances. The house itself is beautifully decorated and was plenty big enough for us. The only negative comment I can think of is the double bed needs a new mattress! Can thoroughly recommend a stay here.

  • Sarah is a very welcoming host and her place is a brilliant place. Surrounded by nice countryside but not too far to walk to the nearest pub.

    Nic2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • It's stylish and spacious with lots of lovely touches. We only stayed two nights but wished we'd stayed a week. The bed was oh-so-comfortable, the kitchen fully-equipped and there were board games and books galore if the Norfolk weather takes a turn for the worst. It's light and lovely with a view out to the garden. Sarah is a great host and has designed a beautiful space, perfect for a brief breather.

    Robin2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah was a fantastic host! Her place was spotless and the board games were a really nice touch in the event of bad weather. Sarah even went above and beyond the act of duty and returned an item to me in the post that I stupidly forgot to pack. Will 100% be going back. Thank you.

Garden cottage stands with the Bolt Hole in row of buildings forming part of a small group of old farmworkers’ cottages. It has been carefully renovated to retain its original character, whilst providing contemporary accommodation. The en-suite bedroom can be organised as a double or twin. Downstairs is the cosy living space with log burner to keep you warm when the north wind blows - and does it blow! Superbly renovated - but please note the original staircase has been retained, so it is narrow and steep!

  • A fantastic find in Holt, a stone's throw from all the local shops and pubs. It's set off the road and in a quiet area that looks over a nice garden, and the space itself is brilliant and spacious - with a wood burner and cosy underfloor heating making it ideal for the winter. The Annex has been done up really well with two great bathrooms and a well stocked kitchen. Great communal areas with huge sofas and loads of floor space - ideal if you have a baby or toddler like us. The main bedroom was huge and the king bed extremely comfy and very large. The second room is much smaller but ideal for a cot or for one/two children (there are two decent single beds). The whole place has been decorated really well, with nice touches everywhere - from books to local info and games. Wifi works, there's private off-street parking, and the hosts Toby and Zoe are great, providing guests with a little hamper of essentials such as tea, crisps, local apple juice, bread rolls, milk, biscuits etc etc. Would definitely recommend anyone looking for a place in Holt near the Norfolk coast.

  • Fabulous location, clean, warm, comfy, beautifully decorated accommodation. Lots of thoughtful touches, even a chocolate on the towels in the bedrooms! We were a group of 4 girlfriends having a much needed break away. Ideally suited to a family of 4 in our opinion.

  • A really cosy but spacious place to stay perfect for a few days away. Great location with Holt and all its eateries so close by. Perfect for 2 adults and 2 teenagers as we were. The kingside bed was super comfy as was the corner sofa downstairs. Bonus having a downstairs w/c also ! It is a lovely place to stay to explore the local beaches and town, would highly recommend! The hosts left us with a complementary hamper with local apple juice, milk and prosecco also which was most kind and appreciated!

  • Paul and Rob are exceptional hosts. They have great local knowledge and are friendly and welcoming. The annex is well equipped with everything you need and more. It is spacious and clean. Our girls loved their bedroom and the little touches of old fashioned toys etc were sweet. The views are amazing and the photos don't do the place justice. We had lovely beach days and a nice time at Blickling hall too which is just down the road. The Buckinghamshire arms pub was a hit and served lovely food inc their amazing breakfast! The Pigs was good too and very family and doggy friendly too! All in all a lovely North Norfolk break which the whole family inc our new puppy Daisy loved. Highly recommended. Xx

Weybourne is a great little spot as a base for getting out and about exploring this part of North Norfolk, either on foot (the are some fabulous walks to explore from outside the door, both inland and coastal), by catching the Coasthopper bus service that runs through the village or by car. The Georgian town of Holt is just three miles up the road, where you will find boutiques, galleries and a variety of places to eat. Sheringham, the next coastal resort along the coast, is a bustling traditional seaside town where fisherman still bring in their daily catch. You will find plenty of facilities, including many interesting shops, a museum, pubs, restaurants and tea rooms, as well as a supermarket and filling station. If you fancy a day trip to Norwich, you can catch a train from Sheringham town centre. Additional Information: Sorry, pets not allowed. Feather duvets, hypoallergenic pillows.
