Places to stay in Fitzwilliam
Our cozy guest house is perfect for a romantic get away or quiet retreat. We invite you to leave the hustle of the city & enjoy a relaxed pace surrounded by nature. Fitzwilliam is a quaint town, & year round activities abound. Enjoy Laurel Lake, Rhodedendron State Park & Mt Monadnock. It is great for walking, biking or snowmobiling & antiquing in the winter. We also provide a toxic free space with dōTERRA Natural Solutions, restful sleep with serenity Diffused. Ask about Aroma Touch Experience
Imagine stepping back in time to a simpler, more relaxing pace. Surrounded by nature, we invite you to be our guest in our cozy guest house located on a farm established in 1820 in historic Fitzwilliam. This is a romantic place for couples to unwind and reconnect. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing. We recently added a propane stove which keeps the cabin toasty all the time. You can meander along the trail on our property or hike Mount Monadnock if you'd like more of a challenge. We escaped the hustle of city living three years ago and fell in love with this property. While you're away we want our guest house to feel like your home. Sleeping We know when you're away from home you want to sleep well and a really comfortable bed, is important. In fact some guests have said its the most comfortable airbnb bed they've ever slept in! Bathing The bathroom is adjacent to the bed and has shower, toilet and sink. Eating There is a kitchen area where you can prepare meals. It has storage for food, a fridge, toaster oven, and Kurig coffee machine. In the warmer months, you can use the BBQ and enjoy eating al fresco in your own private area behind the guest house and warm yourself by the fire pit. There isn't a kitchen sink, but there is an enamel basin for doing dishes, (use water from bathroom sink). We also recommend Emma's Pub in Rindge, Pedro Fina in Marlborough, Pickety Place in Mason. While you may be coming to unwind, we have included a TV and DVD player if you'd like to watch a movie. Bring your favorite book and relax in the rocking chair. Internet service isn't like in the city so we invite you to enjoy a quieter pace where you leave technology behind and enjoy a retreat of peacefulness The guest house is located just over a mile from the village center of the historic town of Fitzwilliam. We are 88 miles from Boston Logan Airport and 55 miles from Manchester.
Founded in 1764, Fitzwilliam remains almost untouched, the village common is like a Christmas card from days gone by with a steepled town hall and houses that date back to the 1850s. The town is home to pristine Laurel Lake, a spring fed lake for summer swimming, kayaking and fishing and Rhodendron State Park is a must see especially in July when it is in full bloom. Here is a link to a video on the park. (URL HIDDEN) Mount Mondanock is five miles away in Jaffrey - it's the most climbed mountain in the world! Or gap mountain is an easier climb about ten minutes away on the way to Troy The recreational Cheshire railroad trail runs behind the property for hiking and cross country skiing. For outdoor enthusiasts there are plenty of things to do from downhill skiing cross country skiing and hiking Fitzwilliam has been dubbed the antiques mecca of the Southwestern New Hampshire as there are several antique shops in town including Bloomin 'Antiques, Old Glory Antiques, and our our store Covey House that also offers handcrafted gift items from over 25 artisans. Plumpapparel offers clothing and accessories for the fuller figure and Feather Herb Farm has an eclectic mix of old and new in luring clothing. If you plan to pick up groceries Market basket and Hannafords are six miles away in Rindge We are ten minute drive from Franklin Pierce university and twenty minutes from Keene State University.
  • Cute and cozy cabin in NH at a good price. Perfect for a couples' getaway. Check-in and check-out were super easy. Clare and Allan were very communicative. The cabin was nice and toasty the entire time we were there. A nice low-key weekend!

  • Clare and Allen were so accommodating. A sweet, calming, place just precisely what I needed to relax and regroup for a few days. It was fun to hike up and around the back of their property as well. They make the best charcuterie plates so make sure you ask for one! A delightful little place.

    Lisa2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved this air bnb find! Clare and Allan’s description of their little cabin is exactly what you can expect and the only down fall was that we had to leave so soon. We would recommend this cozy tiny house to anyone who’s looking to decompress and relax.

    Emma2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Clare and Allan's place was excellent. The space was exactly as described, and the area is picturesque. Clare and Allan are outstanding hosts, and even helped my wife and I dig our car out of the snow when we got stuck on the way to their house. It was a pleasure staying there and I hope someday to visit again.

  • Great place. Everything is so clean. Great location. Perfect for getaway trips with friends and family.

    Huy2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • This was an absolutely amazing time! Check-in was smooth with all instructions having been written out clearly on how to make our stay that much better. Many suggestions on what things go do in the area, and so many things to do right at home! The lake had frozen over so we were able to go ice skating, which was a pleasant surprise. The ping pong table was a blast once it had gotten darker out. We were able to buy groceries and make meals at home because the kitchen had everything that we needed to cook! The house provides us with a stress-free getaway and gave us memories that we’ll never forget!

    Pamela2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you for sharing your lake house home with my family and for your hospitality. We all very much loved staying there. It was warm, inviting, cozy and welcoming. We all agreed we would love to come back!

  • Paul's place is the perfect quiet getaway! Paul was a wonderful host, and made our first Airbnb experience amazing. His place is cozy and comfortable, with everything you need! We enjoyed the late night hot tub after a competitive game of ping pong! I can only imagine how much fun we could have there in the summer! You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay :)

    Jamie2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • This place was amazing. All 8 of us had one of our best trips ever. It was clean and very comfortable. Paul made us feel at home. He is such an amazing host. He answered all our questions very quickly. He also has a great sense of humor! If you’re thinking about going to New Hampshire or anywhere close to it, this property is a great place to stay at. I really can’t wait to come back again!

Perfect for the solo adventurer or business traveler, or a cozy space for two. At 250 sq ft including all storage, Tastefully Tiny makes maximum use of space. Custom cherry cabinets, bamboo floors, and a fold down ambrosia dinette are some of the special touches. Spanish tile floor and claw foot tub add to the charm of the bath. Futon folds down into a full sized bed for sleeping or doubles as a couch for reading or watching tv. Our price reflects that finishing touches are still ongoing.
Conveniently located between Keene, Peterborough, and Gardner, MA, we offer a rural location close to a numbered route. Abuts Cheshire Rail Trail, and close to many other local hikes. Mount Monadnock nearby. The apartment is within our old farmhouse. Squeaky floors, the occasional mouse, and other eccentricities are part of the charm. Because of proximity to numbered route there is road noise.
We live in a safe, usually quiet, and relaxed neighborhood. We know and get along with most neighbors within a mile of here. Folks generally wave as they drive by.
  • Great location for a traveling healthcare worker. Only 20 minutes to Cheshire. Wonderful hosts, plenty of off street parking, your own entrance, and super clean.

  • Loved my stay at Gretchen and Trish's place. Wonderful hostesses and the accommodations were comfortable and very clean.

  • I stayed here for 2 months. The place is small, as noted, but has everything you need. Gretchen is kind and communicates well. There are nice hiking/walking trails near too. Great place to stay!

  • Gretchen is a wonderful host. Her place, as noted, is small but she has outfitted it with all the necessities. She is very kind and helpful but gives you your own space too. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Bring your own tent, RV, or tiny home and camp on our 10 acre property. To be clear: this is a low cost primitive campsite. Bring your own gear, including a flashlight. No water, sewer, or electric hookups available. Park in the driveway, not at the campsite. Port a Potty and solar shower tent available on property, but a distance from the campsite. We are generally happy to help w anything you’ve forgotten, if you ask. Washer and dryer in basement. WiFi works near the house.
Great access to local hiking. Abuts (unpaved) rail trail for walks or biking. Fire pit available for careful use, subject to fire warden’s approval. Camp wood available on site.
We’re near a numbered route, so there is road noise, otherwise our neighborhood is safe and quiet. Folks stop and say hi, and most everyone knows their neighbors. Gardner MA, Keene and Peterborough NH are within half an hours drive. Grocery, Walmart, etc are approximately 5 miles away

My place is close to Keene, NH, Fitzwilliam Inn, Mount Monadnock, Rhododendron State Park. You’ll love my place because of The calm surroundings, shade and sunshine ease of access to everything in the Monadnock Region. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets). Just to be clear the beach is across the road, (which is about 10' wide) and slightly to the left of my house.
Inside the cottage is basically a one bedroom cottage with a large Sunroom and common Living Room/Kitchen/Dinning/Great Room. There are full sized pull out sofas' in the Sunroom and Living Room. The Sunroom offers as much privacy as a Bedroom; the Living Room does not. There's a deck that wraps around the house and a patio in the backyard. There is also an out door shower off the patio so you can shower off after coming up from the beech and a large fireplace with patio in the side yard.
Fitzwilliam New Hampshire is the quintessential New England town and was featured as such many years ago on the Today Show! The Fitzwilliam Inn is a short drive, (@ 3 minutes), down the road and has an excellent Dinning Room and Bar. Mount Monadnock is about 15 minutes away and is the second most hiked mountain in the world I am told. Keene, New Hampshire is about a 15-20 minute drive north on NH Route 12 and offers a full set of conveniences for shopping, dinning and entertainment.
  • What a wonderful place! Spectacularly beautiful in the fall colors. Quiet and relaxing, away from the hustle and bustle. Fantastic walks. A great place to decompress from everyday life. Dick responded in light speed to our only question. A warm host with a great sense of humor.

  • Kens place was clean and super spacious, the pictures don’t do it justice. He was a great host and always answered us quickly. We were there during a snow/ice storm and knocked out power for a little. Ken set up a backup generator and had us back to normal in no time. We brought our dog and there was plenty of space around the property for her to run around and Kens dog was also very friendly. Internet speed/connection was great and we were able to work remotely. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. Thanks again for everything Ken!

  • We had a wonderful stay at Dan's unique farm house. The house is sat in several acres of land and although we were there in early march as the snow was melting it was still very picturesque. The house is accessed by about a mile of unpaved road that had some muddy spots (in early march so probably about as bad as it gets with snow melt) but we were fine in a heavy 2wd mini van. The house itself has been modernised in some areas but has retained some many of the original features. The house had everything needed for a comfortable stay and Dans communication was great. We will definitely stay again if we're in the area !

  • Dan’s farmhouse was the perfect romantic winter getaway. It offered everything you could expect from the cozy and warm setting of a family farmhouse to a fire going in the wood stove to the sprawling hills and pine trees of the property. It had the perfect home away from home feel. Meeting Dan and seeing his love for this place added the finishing touches along with the dozens of beautiful photos showing all the years and generations of love and family throughout the home. An essential and classic New England experience to the fullest. Can’t wait to go back!

The Country Guest Quarters room is in a completely separate part of the house which offers great privacy and includes a private bathroom. In October 2018 we added a small sitting area which is totally private in the evenings and weekends, and mostly private during the days. We added this area as a bonus and did not raise our price! The house is in a safe, quiet, friendly community.
The bedroom is adjoined by an office that may be available as a BONUS to use in the evenings if you require workspace. The office is not used during the evenings or weekends! There is a sitting area separated from the office by room dividers. This area is now part of the Airbnb! (FYI, Airbnb room is up stairs in the bonus room above the garage) Note: The room has no windows to the outside, except for the skylight in the sitting area. Fans and A/C units are provided. The yard lets you feel as you are surrounded by nature. There are no other visible houses during the summer months. We are available for a lot of interaction, or no interaction, this is entirely up to the guests. The neighborhood is very quite, very safe, and we are friends or family with almost everyone around. If you do not have your own transportation this is not the place for you. We are at least 30 minutes from the nearest taxi, and buses and trains are out of the question! This is a bedroom community about 90 minutes from Boston. We have a wonderful cat the grandchildren named Orange Meow,,, which is mostly in his own area or outside, but he is never in your room. We are non drinkers and appreciate our guests doing the same. We don’t want any alcohol related problems, including coming back drunk from a night out. Relax and enjoy a cozy and comfortable stay!
Quiet, safe, friendly. We know most of the neighbors, and many of them are family.
  • Amazing as always.

  • John's room was beautiful, very well supplied and clean. The directions were clear and easy to understand. All I need was a bed to crash in for two nights, but what I found was a little vacation and a comfortable space to relax in. The location is beautiful, as well as his space. I will be looking to stay there again, if I should ever need a place to stay in the area again. Thanks John.

Private residence blocks away from Central Square. Keene, a vibrant arts community, features a friendly Main Street, great restaurants, a community-owned food co-op, and shops for browsing and buying. Your room is quiet and cozy and has its own 1/2 bath. Explore our small yet dynamic college town on foot or bike (I have one you can borrow). Safe off-street parking.
In town location, cute shared kitchen and laundry. Enjoy the deck or private backyard. Downtown is an easy walk.
Keene is a college town, population 20,000, great restaurants, theater, shopping. Awesome rail-trail for biking. Skiing close.
  • Cozy, clean, calm, and quiet space. Walking to downtown. Would love to visit again.

  • I loved staying with Taryn! The space is clean tidy cute and friendly! Great location as well. The room was everything I needed plus I love having a half bath all to myself. Taryn is very friendly and helpful yet also respectful of my space. I definitely recommend staying here.

  • Taryn has a lovely home. A short 10 minute walk brings you into downtown Keene. Taryn's home is clean and welcoming. Taryn is a wonderful host.

  • Super host. Very nice, even going out of her way to let me know about what was happening in town and beyond, such as a historical wall mural project. She welcomed me in a caring way to use her kitchen and dining room. Her dog Jazzy is lovely. Taryn always had the lights on when I came home late. I can't say enough about her great hosting skills. We also had great conversations, and I just felt like I was at my home away from home.

This walkout basement is newly renovated with a bathroom and a kitchen with brand new appliances. You also have access to an outdoor barbecue right outside the unit and a fenced backyard. Our house has access to a private lake nearby as well. Conveniently located near Cushing Academy, Wachusett Mountain Ski Area, Wachusett Brewery, Watatic Mountain. Minutes to the grocery store, tavern, and pizza places downtown. We love our house and hope you enjoy it as much as we do :)
All the photos shown inside the unit are private to the guests. The kitchen allows guests to enjoy meals home away from home, or the guest can use the outdoor barbecue when the weather gets nice. Our house is a colonial with two adults and a dog living on the top two floors. We also have bunnies and chickens who live outside.
This is a quiet residential neighborhood. All our neighbors are friendly and helpful. There is a private lake about 5 mins walk from us.
  • The backyard animals are entertaining and quiet, as I always had a good sleep! The kitchen has a full refrigerator, and there's a functioning modern hot-plate for home-cooked meals. The kitchen counter is set up for a couple at the island, and there is a dining table for 2 next to it. There are LOTS of storage areas for large luggage in the benches on either side of the fireplace and under the staircase. The fireplace acts as a room heater and has a non-fire light display in the face of the unit. It was quite suitable and kept me warm when the evenings became cool. The air conditioning worked just fine. A very comfortable place to stay.

Nostalgic. Historic. Authentic. If you listen carefully, you might hear the bell of the local boxing ring that stood here in 1820. Over a century later, the ring is now the Cheshire Rail Suite, a modern and well-equipped apartment to make your vacation notable. In the heart of Troy, you'll enjoy hiking, biking, snowmobiling, or simply taking in the local views. Every season has something new, and we can't wait for you to experience everything we love about New Hampshire.
Guests will enjoy a private apartment complete with modern-day amenities including Internet access, washer, dryer, a fully outfitted kitchen, Smart TV, full bath, adjacent parking, and a patio overlooking the garden. The apartment is equipped with both heat and air conditioning to accommodate any season.
From the back door, a winding path leads you to the Cheshire Rail Trail and the start of your unique adventure. Guests can walk to the center of Troy, discover quiet fishing spots and swimming holes, or continue along the trail for a woodland stroll. Mount Monadnock, just a few minutes from Troy, is often cited as the second most hiked mountain in the world, second only to Mount Fuji. On a clear day, it is possible to see Boston from the summit. From our experience, hiking Mount Monadnock takes roughly 3 or 4 hours to complete and is appropriate for hikers aged 10+. For a more relaxed hiking experience or younger families, Gap Mountain is situated right in Troy. The peak of Gap Mountain is an excellent spot for a picnic and a picturesque view of Mount Monadnock. If you climb Gap Mountain in the late summer, you can enjoy freshly picked blueberries to round off your hike. During the winter months, guests can snowmobile along the rail trail, go snowshoeing, cross country skiing, or ice-skating. Alpine skiing and tubing are within driving distance at Crotched Mountain and Granite Gorge. In the evenings, the historic Colonial Theatre in Keene hosts a bevy of performances, comedy acts, classic and contemporary movies, concerts, and dance troupes. For a more refined experience that's worth the drive, adults can enjoy local breweries, wineries, and distilleries, or visit L. A. Burdick's in Walpole for specialty chocolates and fine dining. Our favorite local haunts include: The Inn at East Hill Farm, where families can visit the animals on the farm and even take horseback riding lessons. Monadnock Berries is home to a variety of fruits, including blueberries, raspberries, currants, and gooseberries. On-site is the Granite Roots brewery, where you can enjoy a refreshing brew after an afternoon of berry picking. Alyson's Orchard is one of our Fall favorites. Activities include apple picking, hayrides, or sampling the flavors of New England with fresh cider and apple pie.
  • Excellent in every way. Lots of thoughtful touches.....like a full spice rack and pillow spray! The suite was sparkling clean and really well equipped. Amazing hosts...we enquired about an electric kettle and 1/2 hour later there was a brand new one left for us. Great location with an excellent local shop andThai restaurant. We would definitely recommend and we look forward to revisiting at graduation next year. Thanks Julie and Mark.

  • Julie was a wonderful host to work with! She was helpful, responsive, and friendly. I would highly recommend her beautiful space!

    Rachel2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • This place was so awesome! Well appointed, very thoughtful and helpful supplies if you decide to cook in rather than going out. Spices, dishes, etc. Mark, being an executive chef, knows what would be needed for basic supplies. The space was beautiful, quiet, private and right along the Rail Trail that we had hoped to enjoy but ran out of time. Julie and Mark were helpful in making suggestions of places to eat in the area. We had an awesome family gathering for the holidays and this place made it relaxing and special.

Whether you're a couple (or two couples) looking for a romantic retreat, or a business traveler in need of a short term rental, or a family simply longing to get away, our spacious, sun filled apartment will help you relax & unwind. This 2nd floor apartment has private entrance, & overlooks the beautiful village green in historic Fitzwilliam. This is the gateway to the Monadnock region, where nature surrounds you in all of its magnificence. Good WiFi!
Step back in time to enjoy the second floor of the historic E Parker building, built in 1850. It overlooks Fitzwilliam's village green which is as picturesque as a postcard from days gone by. The village green is home to the strawberry festival, summer concerts, the annual antique show, flea market and the other village events. The private apartment is above Covey House, our store that sells home and garden decor, and we teach classes about dōTERRA essential oils and natural solutions for health. There is a private entrance to the left of the building and parking at the rear. The barn is on the national historic register and the back garden is yours to relax in, or dine alfresco. This apartment is huge and really bright. It is listed a three bedroom and comfortably sleeps a family of five, or two couples could comfortable stay. There is a large eat in kitchen with propane stove, full size fridge, microwave, crock pot, coffee machine, electric kettle, toaster, dishes, pans, glasses and cutlery. We do not provide food. The spacious sunlit living room is the perfect place to relax. You can watch a movie on the DVD, snuggle up in the comfortable chair and read a book or work on a jigsaw puzzle or color at the checkerboard table. There is also wifi available. The dining room is huge and is perfect for more formal dinner setting. The master bedroom has the most comfortable queen sized bed and it was hand crafted in Vermont. It has a dresser, reading nook and closet. It overlooks the village green. In the summer there is a window ac in the room. The second bedroom has a full size bed, dresser and a large closet. In the summer there is a window ac in the room. We did add a twin bed to a small room but it is not technically a bedroom, it’s more for convenience for those that may need extra sleeping accommodation. The bathroom is off the kitchen and has a tub with shower. We provide plush towels and shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. There is a vanity area outside the bathroom with a hairdryer. There is also an ironing board and iron if you need it. Laundry facilities are available for an additional charge of $5 per load (washer and dryer) This is a little piece of history, we hope to one day update the kitchen and bathroom but until then it has old charm and function rather than state of the art modern design. We hope you'll find it to be a home away from home. If you’d like to experience essential oils, we’ve left a diffuser in the living room with wild orange that will reduce stress and help you enjoy your stay. Clare is available for questions too.
Nestled in the heart of New England and gateway to the Monadnock region. Fitzwilliam was founded in 1764, and remains almost untouched. The village common is like a Christmas card from days gone by with a steepled town hall and houses that date back to the 1850s. The town is home to pristine Laurel Lake, a spring fed lake for summer swimming, kayaking and fishing and Rhodendron State Park is a must see especially in July when it is in full bloom. Mount Mondanock is five miles away in Jaffrey - it's one of the most climbed mountains in the world! Or gap mountain is an easier climb about ten minutes away on the way to Troy. If you're a snow mobile enthusiast the Cheshire Railway Trail runs right through Fitzwilliam and is within five minutes of the apartment. For outdoor enthusiasts there are plenty of things to do from downhill skiing cross country skiing and hiking. Fitzwilliam has been dubbed the antiques mecca of the Southwestern New Hampshire as there are several antique shops in town If you plan to pick up groceries Market basket and Hannafords are six miles away in Rindge We are ten minute drive from Franklin Pierce university and twenty minutes from Keene State University.

Nestled in the quiet woods just north of Mt. Monadnock our cozy one bedroom apartment invites the outdoors in with peeks of the mountain through the trees. Sit out on your private deck and enjoy the view or stroll around the yard and pick a few blueberries in season. We welcome hikers, nature lovers, those visiting friends or family or just wanting to enjoy the area's beautiful scenery and many artistic venues. I like to think of it as a peaceful sanctuary that we'd like to share with you.
The guest apartment is part of our home but it is completely private and has it's own entry and private deck. So, you don't have to say hello whenever you come and go (unless you'd like to, of course:) If you have questions and either Sterling or I am there you are welcome to just knock on our door ( next door) and if we are gone, I am usually available to receive a text or call. You may just enjoy sitting out on the deck to get your fresh air and view but you are welcome to the yard and to stroll through the garden. We have plenty of parking so park where you finds a good space. We only advertise one bedroom and there is a long couch (not a pullout with a bed) in the living room that is pretty comfortable. I keep extra bedding in the bedroom closet. We also have a handy twin mattress in the entry closet to accommodate a child if needed. You are welcome to these . We also have a guestroom with its own patio down the stairs from the apartment. My family visits occasionally so I don't advertise it but if you need another queen bed you can let me know and, if it is available, you are welcome. (We charge an extra $50 a night for that.) If you like to cook the kitchen has the basics: stove, refrigerator, utensils, a few condiments and spices. Let me know if you need anything you can't see there. The apartment has a coffee station. You can have the option of the Kuerig if you are in a hurry for coffee in the morning (like me) or there is a coffee maker so that you can make yourself a pot. I usually try to have eggs and something baked on hand so you don't have to rush off for breakfast. I hope you can relax and enjoy your stay!
When we first moved here over 30 years ago I wasn't sure I could handle the quiet, town girl that I was. But I love it and, after a busy day, it is such a peaceful place to come back to. My favorite spot in the summertime is on the deck for dinner. The apartment has it's own and I think most guests feel the same way. There are lots of walkers who enjoy this road and cars hauling boats but, even after all these years, it remains a peaceful and quiet spot. Just a mile and a half down the road is Dublin Lake and Stone Pond is about that distance in the other direction. Howe Reservoir is nearby as well. Bring your kayak and watch the sunset from the middle of the lake and enjoy a spectacular view of the mountain. If you are a hiker or even an aspiring one we are not too far from trails up Mt. Monadnock and the Sunapee Trail. In the winter there are lots of cross country or snow shoe trails not far from us. Friendly Farm is a great place for children and it's just a 6 minute drive away. The towns around us have lots of activities too numerous to list but we are centrally located to the best the area has to offer... Peterborough Players, Apple Hill Chamber Music (where you can sit outside and enjoy a picnic while being serenaded,) Art Shows, Museums, Concerts, Great Restaurants and Shopping. I try to keep local information up to date and on your coffee table.
  • Linda’s place was fantastic! Sadly I did not get to personally meet her, but my friend did when she checked us in earlier in the day and said she was a lovely person. The space was very well decorated and very home, sparkling clean, and exactly as advertised. The view is fantastic, and Linda went above and beyond by providing us homemade cookies and bread. I would stay at Linda’s place again in a heartbeat!

    Greg2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Linda’s home was beautiful! It is the perfect location to disconnect and recharge. Linda welcomed us into her home with baked goods, which was such a thoughtful touch. Would definitely recommend!

    Natalie2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Linda was an amazing host. She was thoughtful about each aspect of the stay, and I have never had a more positive Airbnb experience! So many of the reviews are overwhelmingly positive and detailed, so to avoid redundancy, I will just say that if I could give Linda 5 more stars, I would. This place was so special and our weekend experience in NH was enhanced by the quality of our stay. We are definitely hoping to come back, and we will surely recommend her place to anyone looking to rent.

    Simone2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • I am a super host myself but this place far exceeded our expectations. This is another slapped together attic. This is a solidly built and beautifully finished apartment. Beautiful deck and view, fridge stocked for breakfast, and the made from scratch baked goods you see everyone raving about in the reviews. Don’t look any further for a place to stay. This is the place! Friendly host and stunning colors of trees the second week of October. Highly, highly recommend.

    Shirley2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • This is a writer’s dream-space; if you’re looking for peace, quiet and beauty to write or just relax, this is it. A clean, comfortable, and very roomy apartment including a balcony deck with deck chairs and a covered table for coffee and writing while enjoying a spectacular view. I wanted space to spread out a project and had it in spades, with lots of floorspace in the comfortable and nicely decorated living area. Both kitchen and bathroom had a surprising number of amenities and unexpected extras. Nestled into a gorgeous location, it’s near the lake and Monadnock State Park for beautiful fall hikes, drives and walks. Linda offered to let me come earlier than the regular check in (much appreciated) and met me upon my arrival. She had several delicious home-baked treats waiting in the fridge, along with many unexpected basics (eggs, milk, juice, milk, oatmeal). Stirling came over to offer excellent driving directions to several hiking trails and helpful descriptions of each. Would stay here gladly for a longer spell (didn’t really want to leave!)---excellent value for comfortable and pleasing rooms, beautiful/ quiet location, and friendly, attentive hosts.

    Margaret2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful home! The space was large and cozy. It also had an amazing view from the private porch. Linda’s hospitality was above and beyond what we expected. It was exactly what we needed for our trip. Just wish we could have stayed longer.

    Angela2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Linda was an incredible host! She greeted us warmly when we pulled up after dark and again the next evening, when she called for us to join her and her husband at their fire pit after we got in from dinner in Peterborough. It was my wife's birthday weekend, and waiting for us in the fridge on our arrival was a cake! Super host indeed. The place is so nice in so many ways. It is tucked away a short distance down a dirt road from the end of the pavement--with all the peace and quiet you'd expect. The view of Monadnock from the living room and off the deck are fantastic--we loved eating out there, too. It is a quick drive into Dublin and only slightly longer to Peterborough, Marlborough, and Keene. We hiked Monadnock while there, and the trailhead was a three or four minute drive down Linda's road (it's the longest trail to the summit, but hey!) The only thing remotely approaching a negative was a slight sulfur smell to the water. It was not strong, we didn't taste it in the food we cooked (including coffee), and it didn't keep us from lugging a couple of liters of it up Monadnock, but if you're sensitive you should know.

  • I stayed with Michael for a month. The bedroom has a very comfortable bed, a tv, and a small couch. There is a full kitchen with everything you need for meal preparation. Michael was very respectful of my privacy, and responded to my messages very quickly. It doesn’t take more than 10 minutes to walk to Central Square and down Main Street where there are great restaurants, cute cafes, and specialty stores. I enjoyed my stay with him and would definitely stay with him again.

  • Everything here is exactly as advertised. Space was VERY clean and well appointed. Absolutely perfect size for a quick stay of up to 2 people. I would not stay here with any sort of larger group. Check in was easy and the place had everything I needed for a two night stay. Just a few blocks away from restaurants, shopping etc.

    Paul2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Michael's apartment is great for a weekend or short stay: walking distance to town, modest-sized kitchen and super clean. We had a problem with the heat and Michael responded to our text in less than 5 minutes and immediately resolved the issue. Only caveat is that there are steep stairs leading up to the apartment, so if mobility is an issue for your or someone in your party, this would not be a good choice. But otherwise, this is a superb value.

    Joanne2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Michael's place is cozy, cute, and was a great choice for my one night stay in Keene. The radiator does get very loud sometimes, but with my white noise machine I brought, my boyfriend and I were able to sleep just fine. The apartment had everything we needed to have a very comfortable stay. Overall, I would definitely recommended this place!

  • Clean, quiet, comfortable and charming. I do a lot of cooking and the kitchen had everything I needed, including a good set of knives! Great place to stay in Keene.

Newly renovated bedroom and living room apartment with a full bath and personal parking space. We have added a refrigerator, a microwave and coffee-making implements to the guest quarters. The kitchen is shared - meals can be arranged.
Welcoming, warm and private space with a bedroom for two and a fold-out couch in the living room.
We are surrounded by hiking trails and lakes, near mount Monadnock and any number of quaint New England villages with their greens, churches and general stores. Historic Harrisville is home to the last family owned woolen mill and weaving loom factory. Boston is about two hours by car, New York about four. The White Mountains can be reached in about two and a half hours.
  • hans &marcy were amazing, will definitely return, definitely a " my house is your house" , experience !!

  • My friends and I had a wonderful time staying with Hans and his wife. Hans gave us food/hiking suggestions for our weekend, and was nice enough to give us eggs to cook for breakfast. We had a great time chatting with him over breakfast and learning about him and his wife. Highly recommend staying - the home is very cozy!

  • I was blown away at how much room there was. This is a quaint private apartment attached to the back side of the house surrounded by beautiful views. Location, location location. I highly recommend if you do not want the hustle and bustle of Keene. We were fortunate to book since we waited last minute during a wedding weekend. Blessed to have found this place and look forward to staying again. Many thanks to the hosts who were so welcoming and wonderful. A happy gal from Virginia, Nona

  • So grateful to Hans and Marcy for their friendliness and hospitality! The apartment is in a great spot for exploring the area.

    Will Haldean2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in this apartment for a month and a half. The location in Harrisville was perfect for us. Having access to the clean and beautiful Silver Lake right down the hill was perfect. Harrisville is one of the most beautiful tiny brick/mill towns on a lake that is still untouched by time. The General Store overlooks a picture perfect setting. I guarantee you will be taking pictures. If you like to run or walk, there's dirt roads around the lakes, or to remote ponds and old historic farm houses. Very little traffic in this area. A fifty mile hiking trail is down the road. Bring your fishing pole too. Farm stands will supply you with fresh local produce and pies. The apartment is sweet. It has everything you need. The kitchen that is shared with the owners is a big homey farm kitchen. Hans and Marcy are very friendly too. Their yard is huge with a tree house, hammocks, chair swings and plenty of cool stuff for children including a huge stage for plays. My grandchildren loved coming here. There's also blueberries, raspberries, huckleberries, blackberries and peaches. We really had a great time and highly recommend this Airbnb.

Welcome to The Porch! Ready for a mini vacation, or just a place to hang out at, or work from? You are most welcome here! . This cozy cabin is very flexible and user friendly! It is private to only your group! The downstairs with all it offers, is for one or two person rentals. The upstairs is fully available if your group is more than two. This building is in the backyard of our home, which you can see listed on our Airbnb site, Other info is listed there also! Info book is in room!
You will find the place has plenty of peace and quite. A large yard, a long driveway, and a huge packing lot, and an additional driveway almost to your door. The entire building is yours, and it has a key pad door lock for easy entry. Solar light brighten your way! While you are at our place, you are only 20 minutes from Mt. Monadnock, the most climbed Mt. in the USA. Also, plenty of other hiking and great views, small villages. 1.5 Hours to the beach, 2.5 hrs. to the White Mountains, 1.5 hrs to Boston.
Our neighborhood is made up a mostly friends! They are good people and you can feel very safe to take walks. There is a gravel country road with little traffic across the road from our driveway if you prefer that. Our little village of New Ipswich, is about 2 miles away. There is great pizza, a good cafe, coffee, a gas station, but not too much else! Just peace and quite! With a car there is so much to be seen and explored. We have a book in your room that will explain in detail more of these things. As I noted in the space section, you are close to lots of outdoor activities and sight seeing. You will get more information in the booklet that will be in your room, or by asking your host!
  • Nice little place, close to several towns, and exactly what I think one would expect.

    Michael2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • The "Porch" is super cozy. Well heated, comfy bed, nice bathroom, space to make coffee, or prep sandwiches for the day. Even though there's not a full kitchen, it was more than enough space for us to do what we needed. And the basics (coffee, granola bars, hot chocolate) were provided. Easy access to New Ipswich, Peterborough (where we check out a cool brewery) and Mt Monadnock. Generally a really sweet spot. John was quick with communication and very friendly. We didn't end up meeting in person, but it felt like if we'd needed anything he would have been quick to respond.

  • Beautiful setting, clean and quiet.

    Ken2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • The Porch is a super cute and cozy spot. We loved our stay there. It’s basically a tiny house and it was very well thought out and designed. There’s lots of thoughtful touches like coat hooks, shelves, nooks for storage, and a good number of outlets. Everything is super clean and the place looks modern and pretty. The bed is comfortable and the WiFi is good enough for streaming. I love the rocking chairs and Christmas lights on the porch, though it was too cold for us to really enjoy them. The stars at night are beautiful and I could see myself hanging out on the porch in milder weather just star gazing. Be aware that the little house is quite close to the main house, which has its pros and cons. Being close means John can lend a helping hand if it’s every needed and you feel very safe. On the flip side, if you were looking for a bit more solitude, then it’s not the most ideal. However, you can’t really hear anything when you’re in the house and neither can they so it’s quite peaceful. There’s great hiking close by and good restaurants too. If you’re vegetarian, I recommend checking out the town of Peterborough. Be aware that there is only a mini fridge, microwave, and toaster oven in the unit. You can definitely make a little food with that if you get creative, but if you wanted a full kitchen then this is not the right place. We brought snacks like fruit and crackers and we were just fine. The hosts provide coffee, tea, popcorn, and other snacks and amenities. There’s not a lot of counter space. The host was extremely responsive and helpful. John is very welcoming and it’s clear they take good care of their properties. I recommend this spot any time of year.

  • A dream.

  • An amazingly comfortable and relaxing cottage. The place was spotless and the decorations added a really nice rustic touch. We spent a weekend and while we initially planned on hiking and spending more time in the city, we were awestruck with the beauty of the lake, the cottage and spent more time cooking, sitting next to the fire pit watching the sunsets, and catching up on shows. The kitchen had everything we needed and nothing beats enjoying a cup of tea/coffee in the morning with the views. The lake did freeze over and if you have your own skates- highly recommended to bring them. Place did get a bit chilly but the heaters were a great touch.

  • This is a cabin to make Thoreau proud. Built (stylishly) of recycled materials on the shore of a pristine pond surrounded by forest, it is the perfect place to write. The only aspect Thoreau might find to critique is something I very much appreciated: a number of amenities to make it cozy and relaxing, including a full kitchen, hot shower, washing machine, and even a discreet TV in each room. I came to this cabin to do exactly what its name suggests: write. And every element of the cabin helped me do just that, from the solitude to the affirming quotes about writing framed on the walls. I would certainly come back, whether to write another chapter or for a romantic getaway with my wife. Thanks for a fantastic stay!

    Scott2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was amazing! We loved every minute of our trip. The cabin is cozy and warm with the most amazing view of Tully Pond. We couldn’t believe we were right on the water! From the kitchen to the bathroom and the bedroom it has everything you need. The location of the cabin offers so much to do in the surrounding area. No matter what time of year you go you will enjoy your stay.

    Laura2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was everything we hoped it would be! We absolutely loved our winter weekend on Tully Pond and enjoyed hiking through the woods near by. We will definitely come back again!

    Sean2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Our winter long weekend at Patti’s cottage was great. The hiking in this area was great, and spending time on the frozen Tully Pond was super fun for our pup. The custom cottage itself is even cooler than the pictures can show. The entire place is custom built and really neat! We definitely plan to return.

    Jennifer2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I had a great long weekend stay at Patti’s cabin. We were warm and cozy despite the freezing temps of January outside. The cabin is fun and rustic with creative design features...several of my friends now I want a getaway to the cabin after seeing my Instagram post! It was stocked with all the basics in the kitchen and bathroom areas- very thoughtful. We slept so well because it was very quiet and peaceful there. The views of the pond are beautiful and the stars at night are amazing. Patti was warm, kind, helpful and receptive to my questions. Her friend even helped me out when my car battery died! I would definitely stay here again and can recommend this cabin for anyone hoping for a cozy weekend away. If you stay in this cabin during winter I also recommend checking out the Northfield mountain cross-country ski area for cross country skiing or snowshoeing. It’s a beautiful forest!

    Amy2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • The property was absolutely perfect! It was spotlessly clean. It is small, but the setup and organization made amazing use of the space and it felt plenty large enough. The outdoor space is also great! Our dog absolutely loved chilling on the big deck that looks out over the lake. There are a few houses nearby (including one that shares a driveway with this property) but we had plenty of space to play. If you have a dog with people/animal reactivity the other house does directly share the yard (ie no fence or other divider) but it was unoccupied while we where there. This property was the perfect escape from the craziness of life and Patti was an excellent host!

Cozy, light filled guest bedroom with a memory foam bed. Our guests agree: this bed is super comfy! Spacious shared bathroom. This modest, clean and warm home is on a large lot in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to parks and trails. We're less than 5 minutes from major shopping plazas and Antioch University; about 7 minutes to downtown and Keene State College.
Our guest room is quiet and clean, with hardwood floors and views of green spaces from both windows. Nice sunset views and ample closet space for storage. Blackout drapes provide a restful environment. Please note that if you are especially tall, this may not be the bed for you! It is a double (full) size bed with headboard and footboard.
We're in a suburban neighborhood; vehicle traffic on our street is pretty minimal. Our lot sits between a wooded park and school athletic fields; on weekdays, expect to see morning and afternoon school foot traffic, and sports practices in the afternoons during fall and spring. Weekends and evenings are typically very quiet.

✓ Two Beds: One Queen and One Futon. ✓ Bedroom has Adjoining Sitting Room. ✓ Wifi and Smart TV with Local Channels. ✓ Complimentary Water, Tea and Coffee. ✓ Bathroom Includes Shampoo and Soap ✓ Two Block walk to Downtown Keene You will be staying in one of the oldest homes in Keene. The Aaron Seaman House was built in 1804 and maintains much of it's antique Colonial Charm. We welcome travelers from all walks of life and consider hosting a privilege.
Your rooms include a bedroom with a queen bed with 100% cotton linens and an adjoining sitting room with a futon that can be used as a double bed. There is a door in between the rooms so if one person wants to sleep, while the other stays up to read or watch some TV, this gives added privacy. Your rooms also include a ✓ mini-fridge and ✓ coffee / tea set up ✓ and bottled water. Your bathroom has shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided in the 42" x 36" stand-up shower. Please note the decorative shower door has an opening of 18" wide. We only use 100% cotton towels / wash clothes. The Aaron Seaman House is over 200 years old and retains many of its antique charms such as wide wooden board floors, stained glass over the entryway, and classic crown molding around the downstairs doorways. Being over 200 years old, it also has the typical quirks of a house this age. The walls are original plaster / horse hair and the floors have settled throughout the years. Back in the day, homes were made for much shorter people, so for our taller guests, keep that in mind as you enter the rooms! In addition to your private rooms and bathroom, there is also a sitting area at the top of the hall, beside your bedroom. It’s another area that you are welcome to use.
Keene is a quaint New England town with an "up and coming" foodie and art scene. • This place is a true Gem. My wife and I were fortunate as a cancellation opened up the rental during exactly the time we needed. Bonnie is a very thoughtful host, and the rooms are very comfortable and welcoming. A very special experience for us! Would highly recommend.

  • Bonnie and Abe are great hosts. Could not have asked for more. Thank you for being such awesome hosts

  • Great people! Nice and clean place! Great experience!

  • Bonnie and Abe are sweethearts! Their space is sparkling clean and has thoughtful touches everywhere! She went the extra mile; buying some chocolate covered strawberries for my wife's birthday which coincided with our stay! They were available but always gave us space and privacy. Matter of fact it was as though the space was in another house altogether. The space is thoughtfully furnished! Bed is incredibly comfortable. Area has a small but tasteful living room with pull out couch and tv and such. Bathroom is spotless and furnished with everything a guest would need. The house is easy to find and a walking/short driving distance from restaurants and entertainment. If ever in Keene again, I know where I'll stay. My wife and I both loved it!

  • Absolutely wonderful clean space. Hosts go the extra mile to ensure needs are met and are very communicative. Check in was easy and the house is in a great location, could not have asked for more.

  • Bonnie warmly welcomed us. The place was perfect. Quiet and clean. Just a few blocks from the Main Street.

    Thea2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • This AirBNB was amazing! The decor was lovely with authentic charm and complimenting colors. It was very clean and well maintained. There communication before and during our stay was exceptional. The extra amenities such as bottled water, Keurig coffee/tea, mini fridge and bathroom toiletries were thoughtfully provided. They even provided bathrobes, cloth slippers and eye masks, for lounging or relaxing. The electric mini fireplace provided a cozy New England feel to the room. We especially enjoyed the separate/adjoining sitting area. We look forward to staying again!

  • I had the most amazing stay at my first ever Airbnb with Bonnie & Abe. They were so nice and hospitable. This was way more than I expected. Thank you, - Phil

Every room was sparkling clean and we really appreciated the coffee, tea and other amenities which helped us feel at home. (Also great board games and movie selections!) Everything matched the description and even exceeded our expectations. Would return for a future stay!

  • Wonderful place to stay! Adorable spacious apartment with homey touches and a helpful host.

    Alison2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Karen was the best host my dad and I could have ever asked for! She greeted us when we arrived, gave us a little tour, provided us with some breakfast food and home made cookies and even made a sweet welcome sign for us! The apartment was beautiful and cozy, and stocked well with everything we needed. When my dad cut his leg skiing and needed stitches, Karen helped us out a ton! She provided us with extra ice and baggies so my dad could ice his leg, and helped him get up the stairs. Very quick to respond and an absolute sweetheart! The apartment was roomy, super comfy and at such a great price! I wish I could give Karen 5000 *stars*!!

    Olivia2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • I’m an experienced Airbnber but Karen’s stood out for all the warm and special touches she offered from the homemade chocolate chip cookies to all the breakfast fixings to the sign welcoming us to the board games and movies to the notebook of suggestions. We prepared all our meals and the kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfy and the place was quiet and welcoming in every way. Very close to Crotched Mountain where we skied. Highly recommended!

  • Laura and Richard have a nice clean studio with a private bath. We have stayed there twice now.

  • This quaint little country beauty is located in downtown Jaffrey, Nh. Its decor is fantastic, amenities were perfect as we were only down there for a wedding. There were nice little personal touches when we walked in like a coffee table set for 2 with fresh oranges. A personalized hand written message officially welcoming us to there home and hoped the wedding would be beautiful. To which it was. Would definitely use or suggest them to anyone needing a cozy classic New England home for a weekend!!!

The house is in historic Fitzwilliam, located in the SW corner of New Hampshire in what is known as the "Monadnock Region" (named for the famous Mt. Monadnock and a 15 minute drive from the property). It is beautiful, rural country and a great escape from the pace of city life. Laurel Lake is one of the few spring-fed lakes in the area and has a public boat launch. Nearby towns of interest are Keene (20 minutes), Jaffrey (15 minutes) Peterborough (20 minutes) and Brattleboro, VT (30 minutes). Antique shops, art galleries and music festivals are just some of the local attractions. There is great hiking on Mt. Monadnock with views all the way to Boston from the summit.
  • This is a place that gives families the time, simplicity, and space to relax together and reconnect. All of the happiness and love of many generations fills the air. This is a wonderful setting for extended families and friends to gather. There is a lot for everyone to do at the house, the lake, and in the Monadnock region. This is a one of a kind property that is very special today more than ever.

    Betsy2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful house, well tended, organized and cared for. We would definitely sign on again!

    Rosemary2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very magical place. It is a rustic home that has obviously been lived in and loved for many generations. So many of the everyday items in the kitchen or the dining room have been there for decades. The house is utterly charming, and so roomy. We had three generations there, and everyone was happy! The little ones spent hours in the playroom, and nearly as much time outside on the huge lawn, throwing and kicking balls. We all found our favorite places to curl up with a book, and spent one evening around the fireplace listening to my son read out loud. The massive stone fireplace was wonderful. The lake is beautiful; the dock is big enough for several to set comfortably and watch the water antics! The tennis courts were fantastic - my daughter really improved her game this week playing with her dad. I really can't say enough about how privileged we felt to enjoy a home filled with so many memories and lovely things. The house itself feels full of happiness and love. We all agreed that this was the best vacation we could remember.

    Deborah2018-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, charming home on a pristine lake.

    Gaynor2018-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our 10 days in the country at this expansive and uniquely historic cabin stocked with games and books and puzzles -- even indoor ping pong! Though amateurs, the store of rackets inspired us to give the tennis court a try as well. On chilly nights we gathered around the grand fireplace to read or play games or just chat. The outdoor porch, replete with swing, was also a popular gathering spot. The pristine lake was a lovely highlight around which our days revolved, and the raft and boats well used, while the town of Fitzwilliam offered antique and art surprises, as well as excellent food at the Fitzwilliam Inn for a date night out. Our hosts were attentive and easily reached; we appreciated their prep for our stay and the informative material prepared for guests, which we referenced throughout our time there.

    Suzanne2017-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Helen was wonderful - we communicated before my trip as well as while my family was at the house. We loved the house, the lake and the whole experience.

    Gaynor2016-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first Airbnb experience, and Helen and Stuart were exceptionally patient and gracious with my lists of questions. The house was exactly as described, but there is no way to describe how special this home is and how grateful we felt to be able to stay there. It's been built and cared for with love over generations of this family, and the result is a living museum of life and love. It's a magical place, filled with antiques, and everything you need to feel comfortable and welcome. The area is safe and quiet and feels very private. We saw deer and a chipmunk and loons on the lake. The path from the house to the lake is like a something from a fairytale. It is lined with wild ferns and beautiful trees and dappled light and plenty of roots to plant your footing. Then you emerge to a crystal clean private dock and float for a perfectly refreshing swim. The house was very clean and the kitchen was spotless and stocked with anything you could ever want to cook with. I live in a small apartment in New York so the vastness of this house took my breath away. There were only four of us there. Our two kids are 7 & 9 years old and the playroom was a constant source of wonder for them. They never picked up their electronics all week. The playroom is stocked with with toys from all eras, all organized so that each toy is more inviting than the next to play with. The kids were in heaven. And happy kids on vacation means a much nicer experience for mom and dad. Helen was extremely sweet and lovely to us. I couldn't say enough about how much we loved our visit and how highly I would recommend her as a host.

Off of, but just a couple of miles, from the beaten path a little bit of Eden. The Farmhouse's private entrance is at the front with the small porch, taking you to the home's original main green door. Come on into the front hall and up the stairs to the clean, bright, secluded bedroom with a queen size bed. Enjoy a private bathroom with a large walk-in shower, antique granite vanity and all the fresh air dried towels your stay will require. Welcome
This room comes with a Keurig machine, organic coffee, tea, a mini fridge, microwave, a wine glass, a cork screw, a TV provided with Netflix streaming, WIFI and more needed amenities. Start your day here then head out of a perfect Cappuccino and breakfast at Aesops just about 2 miles down the road or travel to Harrisville for something hearty at the General Store. A perfect walk at MacDowell Dam is a stones throw away as are many other local hikes. Explore shopping in the village, art galleries, and of course plenty of fine dining to be had. Nearby Delrossi's is my favorite for Italian. Harlow's is ever dependable for a great meal, cocktails, music (late), cocktails and all kinds of beers. Locally you can find a Whiskey Bar, a brewery, good Thai, homemade chocolates even a vinegar store. The Toadstool is a great place to browse books and support the local economy. Within walking distance is Nature's green grocer and I always encourage stopping in to see Lulu and her wonderful ceramic work in her studio across the street. Because of the practical use of the space details for longer term stays will have to be worked out in advance.
Arts, food and nature in abundance in this idyllic Monadnock region. Something for everyone with each season from, downhill skiing at Crotched Mountain, cross country at Windblown, snow shoeing anywhere, to the most refreshing dunk in Dublin Lake, a hike up Pack Monadnock, mountain or road biking whatever your favor. It can't be beat.
