Everything was just as described! Cute clean little place. Lisa is kind and helpful and there is water access which is a plus. The community is so very sweet and literally everyone you pass says hello. So very homey. This is a grea place to stay on the St.Lawrence.

Super nice litte cabin!

Exactly as advertised. The cabin was very neat and clean. It was close to the bathroom which was also very clean with private stalls and showers. Overall a great experience.

We loved our cabin experience. The shower rooms were nearby and very clean. The heated pool was spotless. The people were friendly and the manager did everything to make our stay very enjoyable. We will come back and recommend the place. Thanks that's been a great moments.

Nice place for a short stay

The cabin and campsite were pretty well exactly to my expectations - and would certainly recommend in terms of value for money. Check in was a breeze and the cabin is newer and cleaner than the photos let on. Adults only pool times in the morning and afternoon were a bit of a surprise but otherwise a very pleasant stay!

Attentive,thoughtful hosts. This nostalgic cottage provides a beautiful view of the river in a quiet setting. Very peaceful. They pay attention to details as house was fully equipped and all in working order!

We had a really lovely stay: the location was perfect (5 min drive from a gorgeous hiking trail), the house was cosy and very clean, and Ruth made us all feel very much at home. She prepared the most delicious muffins, preserves, yogurt, and eggs for our breakfast -- a definite highlight of the trip!

You can not go to Canada without going to Ruth's house. Superb house in 1 quiet place. We were able to share our different cultures despite the language barrier. A very homemade breakfast with her friends. So awesome. We will return home if we return to Canada.

The landlord is very welcoming, homely, spacious, bright and elegant. The living is very comfortable. Early in the morning, the landlord made a bread crumb and fruit cake for us. Brewed coffee, prepared with milk, plant butter, yogurt, and jam. Since we couldn't eat too much for breakfast, we also applied for three fruit cakes and tasted on the road. Thank you very much for the warm and hospitable hostess.

Ruth is very hospitable, her big house in the woods is very nice and very clean. Ideally located for a walk in the Thousand Islands. As for the homemade breakfast, I confirm that it is excellent!

We had a very easy check in! Property is right off the highway on 1000 Island parkway in a very forest like surroundings. The house was very clean .. Ruth was very welcoming and made our stay very comfortable.. Rooms were very spacious. Ruth sent us off with a delicious breakfast of homemade muffins and bread, yougurt and granola and eggs.. thank you for your warm and gracious hospitality, Ruth!

We loved this place! The surroundings are just beautiful, as is the cottage. The host and guest contacts were both very pleasant and very accommodating. We would highly recommend this place!

Home is exactly as pictured. Wonderful retreat for a quiet getaway. Views from every room. Convenient location for boat tours and castle stops. WiFi available but no TV. You can watch on your own device if you must.

This cottage is a vintage 40’s construction, nicely decorated with modern amenities including WIFI. Its very quiet with a great view of the river, Canada and the seaway. The cottage has a comfortable couch/hide-a-bed and a great rocking chair. I have to say the bed is extra comfortable. The enclosed porch is large with a great view and has a table and chairs for lunch/dinner. Porch also has a wicker sofa and chairs for just enjoying the river. The porch is in the shade for most of the day and the breeze generally blows ashore. The cottage is 20 ft from the shoreline with a long large dock to sit on if you wish...... I’m planning to be back next year....

This rustic cabin was a delight . The St.Lawerence was at your door step. We enjoyed sitting in the screened in porch and watching the river traffic in the evening . Restaurants, shops , river cruises, castle cruises just 20 minutes away. A very relaxing experience and we will be back!

Shortly after my husband and I arrived at the cottage, we texted our family with two words: We're thrilled. And that described our entire stay--we were thrilled with the cozy, spotless cabin, the screened-in porch overlooking the St. Lawrence, fishing from the dock, and the warmth of Lisa and her husband. We arrived there exhausted and left totally refreshed. Thrilled indeed.

This cottage is an absolute gem. If you are looking to get away and enjoy the river this is the place for you! Lisa was so friendly and accommodating, and the house was very clean and comfortable. The view is stunning and we felt so relaxed and happy!

The swimming pool is 30 yards from the cottage. There’s a beautiful beach less than 3 miles away. This was the best experience I’ve ever had at an Air BnB. Fantastic!

David was a great host, gave us lots of good tips and was very helpful and quick to respond. The house was nice and had a lot of amenities. Close drive to local attractions.

I had an amazing time with my family, we couldn’t have asked for a better time to enjoy our long weekend. Your home is beautiful, clean and house warming. We enjoyed and lived everything this long weekend, even the swimming pool was amazing. Hope to see you soon

Great spot for a family vacation in Brockville. We did parts of the bike path along the water, did the 1000 islands cruise etc and we had a blast. The kids loved the pool which was warm, even in late May. The place is sparkling clean and well decorated. Would stay again.

Ruth's place was really clean. Had everything we needed for a night stay. Unfortunately we didn't stay for breakfast - we were in a hurry, but everything else was great. Ruth was very flexible with our check in time (it being late on the NY's eve). Communication was prompt and the check in was flawless.

Ruth is a very welcoming host with two little well-behaved dogs. We spent two nights at her's and felt at home. The house is spacious but comfy at the same time in a quiet area surrounded by nature. It was in a great location for us to visit the 1000 islands by car. Our rooms were comfy and spacious, too, the kitchen was fully equipped and we even had the 1,5 bathrooms for ourselves as there were no other guests during our stay. The breakfast was our highlight - great coffee and super delicious food. Bread, jam, jogurt and muffins were even homemade! We loved it! We highly recommend Ruth's place and will definitely stay there again if we ever come back to the area.

If you have the chance to meet Ruth, she a very kind person. She wasn’t there when we got to her place, but all instructions were very easy to follow. The place is perfectly clean. The rooms were very confortable and the area we had access to were more than expected. We had a very good healthy breakfast as well with delicious homemade food, fruits and fresh eggs from her chickens!!!

Nice, cozy little cabin with a fire pit and a patio table outside to use. Close to the washrooms and there is also outlets for water and electricity. You can sleep on the bunkbeds and the couch folds into a futon. I enjoyed it and so did my wife.

Amazing location.This is beautiful cottage to stay very scenic and clean, quite and fresh. Everybody in our family enjoyed not only beautiful house but also views. kids enjoyed too. Very helpful host in accommodating our early checkin request. We slept 8 people very comfortably. Would definitely recommend.

This cottage was in a nice location in the 1000 islands with a good view of the river. We loved the screened in porch and hung out there most of the time when we were at the cottage.

This is one of the best places I have ever stayed in the north east. I went their for a two night vacation with my family and I am still regretting for not staying another night extra. This place can easily accommodate 8 people. It was very clean and well maintained.. The front view is breathtaking. Lisa is a great person and she will do everything to make sure you are comfortable. She let us use her boat and the campfire. Although we did outings to Boldt Castle, Alexandria Bay and Watertown, everyone really seemed to enjoy just hanging around Oak Point. There are lots of activities nearby so if you wanted more to do than use the river for boating, fishing and swimming, you could go golfing, horse back riding, visit the castles nearby on the islands, and attend lots of arts and craft events. I would definitely stay there again the next time I visit Thousand Islands. I would encourage vacationers who are looking for a month or a whole summer to give The Lodges a good close look. I highly recommend it.

Awesome breakfast, accommodated my 20 ft boat no problem, and just an all around peaceful getaway on a private island.

If you love nature you'll love this place

Amazing doesn't even begin to explain it. Linda's place is pristine and perfect for a couple looking to get away for a little. Her & Jeff are some of the nicest people we've encountered and so are their dogs. As hosts they are extremely accommodating and helpful. Linda's breakfasts are also delicious.

I spent my birthday on this beautiful little island. The hosts were simply amazing. They provided a wonderful breakfast where we met the other guests and had a great time making new friends. You can be as social or antisocial as you want. If you like people, great hosts and beautiful sunsets they have it all. The cottage was super clean and adorable and came with home made chocolates. We are already making plans on coming back!

We had the most wonderful time on this little island. Linda is a fabulous host, catering to our every need and providing scrumptious breakfasts. The little bay is truly idyllic. Can't wait to come back!

An absolute gem! The property is absolutely gorgeous, a true slice of paradise. It's easy to see the charming beauty of this spot from the pictures however, upon arriving I was still amazed by this B&B's quaint perfection. If you are looking for a place to unwind and take in the nature, look no further! Linda and her husband are absolutely fabulous hosts. Very friendly and down to earth, they made us feel at home immediately. Linda's breakfast in the morning is another wow-factor here. This is no Llittle Debbie muffin and cereal breakfast, she makes everything herself and she does it well! Our cottage was perfect, it had everything we needed and more; not to mention the beautiful flowers and chocolate arrangement on our bed when we arrived. Not only is this a beautiful property, the hosts go out of their way to provide the kind of charming experience you imagine when you think of a bed & breakfast. Worth every penny, you will not be disappointed!

Emby Island is a true St. Lawrence River/ Thousand Island experience!!!

From the moment we met Linda and Jeff at the dock, we were made to feel more like old friends than customers. Our cabin was exceptionally clean with a warm decor and came with delicious truffles that Linda made herself and flowers from the island. Each day we enjoyed a fabulous breakfast that included homemade baked treats and fruit right from the island. Linda knows the area and it’s history extremely well and has great recommendations for things to do and restaurants to visit. The island itself is a little oasis with kayaks, a paddle boat and floaties. Linda and Jeff were always accommodating taking us back and forth from the island whenever we needed. We highly recommend Emby B and B for your visit to the 1000 Islands. We definitely plan to return.

The place is awesome nice boat ramp dock your boats right behind your house right on the river very quiet and peaceful place to stay Lisa was absolutely amazing she came over and introduced her self told us everything we need to know and even had a color-coded binder will all the information you need to get around up there can't wait to go back and see her next year

A great place to stay for the big family: a couple plus 4 kids(king size bed can easily accommodate also a toddler). There are also several more lodges nearby which make it a perfect spot for several families to share a backyard with a lot of space for kids to use. There are chairs , bench and a private access to the river with shallow water safe for kids with soft sandy bottom. There is a place to make campfire next to the river, a boat and a barbecue. Also its always quiet at day and night. One thing to remember: to bring your own sheets and towels, they are not included. Even though you may ask the owner to supply it on case you forget(as we did). Bottom line: we enjoyed our 2 nights stay, especially the kids. They loved the evening campfire and swimming in the river during the day.

My group had a fantastic time here. It was perfect for a girls weekend getaway. Right on the water, cozy cabin and also 20 min from Alexandria Bay with plenty of restaurants and bars. Lisa was fantastic, very helpful and friendly. We loved hanging out on the screened in porch, and also have a campfire and roasting marshmallows. The water was beautiful and we took full advantage. We would definitely book back here again!

Our family LOVED staying at Heron Lodge!! We were here for a wedding so we only wished we had more time to relax! The lodge had plenty of space to play games, cook, and sleep well. It was a pleasant surprise to be right on the water. :) Thank you for all the memories!!

Lisa made us feel very welcome and explained everything we needed to know very clearly. The listing is very accurate. The lodge is very clean, and comfortable. We had everything that we needed. The surroundings of the bay are beautiful. We enjoyed our stay very much and would highly recommend it. We would love to stay again at the Heron Lodge.

Great place to stay

This cabin is fantastic and pictures don’t do it justice for how beautiful and large it is! I was there with a few family members and our kids and the space was absolutely perfect. Mike was very accommodating and quick to reply to any of our questions or concerns. I hope to come back to this amazing place next year!

This place is beautiful. Right on the water nice views and sunsets. It’s the perfect place to get away relax and enjoy the beauty of the the 1000 islands. The inside was amazing with all hand made wood chairs tables and railings. Tons of space and super clean it was worth every bit of it. Great fishing too!! Micheal is a great host and will make sure you are taken care of!!!

The house is beautifully situated on the St. Lawrence river. Quiet and relaxing, with a full kitchen. Michael was a great, attentive host. Couldn't have asked for a better stay. We will be back again!

We had a wonderful family reunion in this cabin. The view on the lake is astonishing even in winter. The cabin smelled of raw pine wood, which we all loved. Excellent place if you want to escape from a busy daily life. We hope to visit this place again.

My friends and I stayed at Michael's cabin to celebrate New Year's Eve. Michael was very easy to communicate with - he answered all our questions promptly. He met us on our way to the cabin to show us the way through the windy roads (although the other half of our group found the cabin on their own without any trouble), and a quick tour of the place with instruction of how to use the propane stove. The cabin was lovely. Clean and spacious. Full-functioning kitchen with lots of room for our party of 9. Easy to warm up in the winter. This place would be beautiful in the summer as well. We would definitely come back!

This vacation rental was beautiful, well stocked, and very clean. There were five adults and a dog in our group and there was plenty of room for a few more people. The screen porch was an awesome place to sit, relax, and watch the ships go by. Blind Bay is very well protected so you never have to worry about your boat if it is tied to the dock and the water is crystal clear for swimming and calm for kayaking. The fishing opportunities are fantastic. I would whole-heartedly recommend this home to anyone interested in vacationing in the Thousand Islands.

This cottage is amazing. The location on Blind Bay in unbeatable. Lots of natural beauty to see in every direction. The place is kept really clean and Catherine does a great job staying in touch and providing helpful local info. Kitchen is fully stocked etc... The screened in porch in the evenings is worth the rental price by itself. I would recommend this place 100%. You will want to have a boat to get the full experience of being in the Thousand Islands. If you don't have your own, Riverbay Adventures is nearby and rents them. We went with them and it worked out great. Lots of fun docking on rock islands, exploring, swimming, fishing etc... You just can't beat it. All in all, this is a great vacation spot. Fun boat tours, trip to Kingston to for a tour of the prison, dinners in Alex Bay - just a great place to be. Our only complaint was having to go home.

This cottage is the perfect place for beautiful views! Very peaceful and relaxing because it is not located on a main highway. We loved the cottage, its decor, and the many amenities available! Catherine is a wonderful hostess and answers any questions promptly. We will definitely book this again and again!

Catherine is a wonderful host, available to answer any question that arises. The cottage is clean, spacious and wonderfully situated on the bay to view ships passing on the St Lawrence River. The kitchen is stocked with whatever equipment you may need to make and serve a meal. There is plenty of seating on the screened in porch and also out on the deck. The grill is great and there is easy access down the stairs to the bay. The bedrooms are roomy with comfortable beds. There is plenty of parking and there are plenty of choices to go for a walk down the lane. We didn't have time during this visit but from the information left by Catherine there is plenty to do in the area. Our family would highly recommend a stay here!

If you're looking for a quiet "get-away" with a breathtaking atmosphere in a pristine location, look no further! I also wanted to pay homage to a host who's as thoughtful as Marg, this place is truly unique and you're little gifts were a delight! The small town of Mallory Landing was fascinating and inspiring. While Kingston sits a good 40 min drive away, it's an amazing drive along the riverside with tons of beautiful people all around.

Marg’s place is so lovely and nice and clean. Especially it is right close to the water. If you love nature, here it is!!! I could also see big fish right from the window when I get up.— so beautiful! Also it is Amazing to see sunrise from the window as well. It is close to almost everything. Marg provides everything we need. Also there is an additional surprise given to us like delicious muffins wine juice and water in the fridge. That is so kind of them :)

A hidden gem! We were traveling from Canada to Philadelphia and decided to stop in Mallorytown as a halfway point. We were pleasently surprised at what the area has to offer! Communication with Marg was great, we had no issues finding the place. Upon arriving we entered the office to get our key and were met by Marg's sister. She was very nice and gave us an overview of the area, grocery stores close by and some activities that might interest us. There was complimentary wine, muffins, ground coffee, sugar and cream which was a life saver especially after a long drive. Bottled water was also provided due to flooding in Ontario, tap water was not to be consumed. The home was clean and well furnished with plenty of sleeping space. Linens were provided. The views are outstanding!!

If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway, look no further! Linda’s Island is a piece of paradise filled with tranquility and scenic views! We stayed four nights filled with fishing, kayaking, paddle boating, reading on the dock, and venturing out to A Bay. Hanging out by the river was just what the doctor ordered. Linda and Jeff are amazing hosts, they treated us like family, and gave us some great information on the area. Each morning during our stay Linda cooked the best breakfasts I’ve ever had, I’m still dreaming about the scones and puff pancakes! This island is truly a special place, we had the best time and can’t wait to go back!

If you like peace and quiet....great hospitality... beautiful amenities...gorgeous sunsets...well this is the best little island you could ever visit. We always stayed in the middle of Abay. My husband and I both agree we will return to our favorite island instead.

What a beautiful, calm, relaxing place to stay, with even better hosts. Everything was as expected or better, with the only exception that Linda’s breakfasts greatly exceeded any expectations. Fishing tips were accurate too!

What gracious hosts! Everything was just perfect on Emby Island! The island itself is magical; there is something deeply soothing about being sung to sleep by crickets and frogs and the soft lap of ripples on the shore right outside your window. Our adorable little cottage with its bright cheery fishing decor was a delight as were mastering the paddle boat, the outdoor shower, the cozy deck furniture And the delicious gourmet breakfasts but it was the generosity and ease with which our hosts received us and cared for us throughout our weekend that makes Emby island a place we will return to again and again. Linda was a wonderful hostess and made us feel right at home for the two nights we were here! This place is perfect for unwinding. We enjoyed great breakfasts, and time just relaxing and reading outside in the shade among the birds. The island is also a short drive from wineries and boat tours. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer!

This island is the best place you could choose to stay for your getaway. Breathtaking sites, lovely atmosphere, delicious breakfast, the BEST hosts you could imagine, honestly everything we did here was just off the scale amazing. We are going to come back for sure! Once you’ve been here, you never want to leave.
