Jane & her husband are a great couple. They cooked us all a big breakfast after a half-marathon and treated us like members of their family. Full private bathroom off the bedroom is very convenient. Quiet, safe neighborhood with immediate access to road biking roads too.

Jane and her family most definitely made us feel welcome. Originally I had trouble booking because of Airbnb's new requirement to provide a copy of my passport. Because the image of my photo was not clear, the booking kept cancelling on my end. I sent an email to Jane to let her know I was having an issue. She replied immediately and promised to hold the room until I could troubleshoot a solution. Jane contacted me two days ahead of our stay to confirm our anticipated time of arrival and also suggested the most scenic route to her beautiful home in Manchester, VT. My husband had entered a bike event at Mt. Equinox and had a very early check-in time. Jane and her husband woke up extra early to make sure we had a healthy breakfast by 6:30 AM. Additionally, they were very flexible about our check out time which allowed us to return later in the morning so my husband could shower after the race. The room was comfortable, clean, private, and quiet, and reviews from other guests are absolutely true about those delicious blueberry muffins! We hope there's room for us at this location the next time we travel to Manchester, VT. Don't miss out on this gem!

I can't say enough good things about our stay at Nancy and Alan's studio! They went above and beyond and really anticipated our every need. The space was immaculate, and we were able to get the relaxation we needed during a very hectic wedding weekend. The studio is located right in the center of everything, and yet we felt like we were in our own private world with the gorgeous gardens they clearly have spent so much time on. I highly recommend this adorable air bnb and will absolutely be back!

Nancy and Alan's little cabin was idyllic for our first visit to Vermont. Not only is the space itself perfectly designed, every little detail has been perfectly considered. An extremely comfortable bed, organic bath products and local VT beers are just a few high-points of note. 3 minute drive from some of the best restaurants/shops in Manchester. A real hidden gem.

Rest, recharge, relax! The Shoe Studio was amazing. If you need to unwind and recharge then you need to visit Nancy and Alan's. The bed is absolutely amazing, the location is great and the studio is spotless.

The shoe box accommodation was upscale and luxurious. We felt like our needs had been anticipated. There were many thoughtful touches including a fridge stocked with organic half and half and almond milk for the morning. We enjoyed sitting on the deck gazing at the beautiful gardens. Maps of the local area made me want to come and hike the trails next time! Quiet neighborhood very convenient to the center of town. Just lovely all the way around.

Had a great time in Nancy's shoe studio with my fiancé. Without a doubt our new "go to" spot for staying in southern Vermont. We stayed for a weekend in mid June, and while the weather wasn't too cooperative (a bit rainy), Nancy and Alan had some excellent suggestions on how best to spend our time. The hosts were knowledgeable and seemed genuinely excited to provide us with information. I suspect you could spend your entire stay without encountering them if you like, but that may be a missed opportunity. The property as a whole is amazing: a beautifully composed self-sufficient ecosystem. If you are staying here, the garden tour is a must -- don't hesitate to ask about it. The experience was value added to our stay (learned something about permaculture too). During our tour we had a chance encounter with a local celebrity chipmunk "Split Pea" who was doing some spring cleaning with her curious babies. The interior of the studio was perfectly cozy for two, with some covered space outside to sit and enjoy the flora & fauna. We didn't find it lacking any amenities, and happily utilized the tea and coffee station... The furnishings and finishes compliment each other well, and are scaled appropriately to fit the space. It is small, but feels airy, and we never found ourselves needing any more room than what was provided; you can tell that Nancy and Alan carefully considered every design decision. All in all, had a great time and will definitely be staying here again!

Nancy and Alan's place is really charming. Neatly appointed and designed with great taste and attention to details. It is close to the main house but it has his own parking spot and pathway to the front door giving us as much privacy as we wanted. Our host provided us with fresh beverages in the refrigerator, tea and coffee, milk and non dairy milk too! We definitely recommend Nancy and Alan's place.

This was a wonderful place to stay! Private/quiet location but very close to downtown. Beautiful property with gardens surrounding the studio. The hosts anticipated all of my needs and the studio was fully stocked. They were also very helpful with information about the area and gave great recommendation for places to visit and hiking trails to enjoy. I will definitely come back on my next trip to VT!

This was a beautiful location and made for a perfect weekend escape. The view of the mountains and the trees and sound of the nearby stream made us feel like we got to get away from civilization, but we were also located extremely close to downtown Manchester, and a decent drive away from the skiing mountains. We had an excellent weekend, and this was the perfect place to come back to at the end of the day to unwind.

The place was just as advertised. The property is absolutely beautiful and tucked away (but close) to Manchester Center. It was an easy drive to Stratton Mountain for a fun day of skiing. We enjoyed getting to know Beth, her daughter and their dogs. The accommodations were clean, cozy and comfortable and Beth was always available for a good conversation or restaurant recommendations. We loved the warm croissants and homemade apple butter with coffee in the morning. A special touch before the day! We hope to be back soon.

Beth and her husband were absolutely wonderful hosts. The property is very inviting and truly lovely, and I enjoyed every moment of my stay. The room itself is private and well appointed, and the bed extremely comfortable. Additional blankets were readily available in the closet, as well as little things that just make a stay easier (plentiful nearby outlets with extension cords for example!). I was treated in the mornings to a delicious pastry and hot tea with a gorgeous autumnal view, and felt very well taken care of at every turn. Wow! This is an incredible place! Beth was very communicative and accommodating. The property is immaculate. I arrived in right as the snow started to melt and it warmed up so you could hear the rushing stream from my window. I was able to sit outside by the fire pit and enjoy the end of a very nice day. The whole family was a joy to be around. The place is close enough to Manchester than one can go get a quick bite to eat but far enough that you feel as though you're out in the wilderness. I highly highly recommend staying here.

Our hosts, Beth and Michel were both very welcoming and despite thinking breakfast was not included, we were treated to coffee, croissant and Beth's homemade grape jelly! They were both happy to chat about the house, area and recommend places to visit. A lovely time was had for the short time we were there.

Beth and Michel are absolutely wonderful and their home is lovely, situated in a beautifully serene location and at the same time just minutes from the center of town with shopping and good restaurants. Beth and Michel are such kind and generous people. They were so helpful in making recommendations for places to go (e.g. hiking) and providing maps. We had an absolutely fabulous time. It was so relaxing and restorative. We were planning our trip back again before we left!

Beautiful country home. Just as described. Room was clean and comfortable. Beth was very communicative and very fun to chat with. She is an artist and it was a joy to see her work throughout the house. She had really good coffee ready for us every morning. We were gone most of the time, but plan to come back and spend some time wandering around her beautiful 2 acre yard and spending more time with Beth!

We had a nice stay at Alyssa's place. I would advise that it is an in-law apartment attached to the family home, so the family was around (and in & out of the driveway often) throughout our stay - they were very friendly and hospitable!! The apartment was super convenient and cozy, as described! The bed was comfortable and our fur baby was right at home. Our pup was able to run around the yard with the family pup, which was fun! The property itself is large, so we were able to walk through some trails and fields behind the house to get ourselves and the dog some exercise. I am not sure what the heat situation is, our only heat source were space heaters but they did keep the apartment very warm. The bathroom is attached to the bedroom and doesn't currently have a door, this was no problem for us, but others may want more privacy. Overall, we had a nice, cozy stay and the price was right! Alyssa's place is a cozy little gem of a cabin just off the road. Her space is incredibly comfortable and welcoming, and very clean. I highly recommend a getaway in this rustic Vermont home!

Out of all of or airbnb stays, this was our favorite. Alyssa was awesome. We were trying to juggle check-in with the event that we were attending and Alyssa was extremely flexible. She always got right back to us when we had questions. The place was wonderful. It was decorated in a way that reminded me of why we stay at airbnbs rather than motel/hotels. Clean, comfortable, cozy but not sterile. The house is located where restaurants and stores are close by but it is tucked back so it is not in the midst of the hub-bub. Part of our family is a dog. Alyssa allowed us to bring him along. We could walk him on the dirt road next to the house giving him a chance to run around and be safe. We had a great time and were very glad we found this place. We will book with her again.

Bev's place is everything an Airbnb should be. Comfortable, clean, well appointed, quiet but not secluded. Beds had reading lamps, shower wàs warm and clean, and towels were fluffy. Highly recommend!

Beth and Michel were very welcoming and took our reservation at super-short notice. The barn is rustic with a lot of character, and the surrounding nature is lovely. Manchester is a great base to explore Vermont with a good nature/culture/shopping balance. We were a family of four adults and stayed for four nights. On arriving it immediately felt a little bit *too cosy* even though the house is very well depicted in the photos. The beds are a little smaller than queen size (particularly the main bed in the loft), though Beth promptly salvaged this by providing a very comfortable air mattress and extra bedding. It would be perfect for a couple getaway or three people, intimately acquainted. The house is very well equipped, and the amenities are excellent. The kitchen is small and super efficient. We managed to cook full meals without any problem. It can get a bit cold in the house (even for May) but there's a wonderful fire place, and amazingly cosy blankets. The barn has a little terrace which is great for breakfasts outdoors. Very minor nuisances (in spirit of precise feedback) was the boiler in the house which drones against the grain of the idyllic setting and the occasional farm mouse that flits into The Studio at night. That said, I would without reservation recommend staying at The Studio and would stay there again myself.

Our hosts were very welcoming. The place was in a great location for viewing fall foliage, it was rustic but cozy with a big wood burning fireplace. The kitchen was simple but well-stocked. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend the place to friends.

Sonia is very personable and very accommodating- she knows the area very well and has great recommendations about what to do and see. Location is great for the Vermont Equestrian Festival- close to the show and close to Manchester Center, yet quiet at the end of the day.

The setting and view is gourgous ! Judy is wonderful and very accommodating.

Bucolic, simply casual vicotorian elegance. We embraced the morning coffee that Judy made and sat on the porch admiring Vermont's magestic mountains beyond her amazing acre of lawn. She greeted us ... escorted us ... and we knew where to drop our baggage. She then welcomed us downstairs to address morning coffee, water, ice and lite and neat breakfast options. She was busy with philanthropy for children's psychiatric causes for the weekend, but she spent the extra time to welcome us and make us feel absolutely at home. Thank you, Judy!

Nice, old Victorian house. Judy was a gracious hostess. Coffee was prepared for us every morning. There is no air conditioning, so depending the time of year you visit, you might want to consider this.

Just returned from a weekend at the Barn at Four Tooth Farm. The loft is absolutely beautiful and exceeded any expectation. John is an amazing host, he was available for any questions or concerns but also gave us complete privacy. The space is immaculate and the views are beautiful. Can't wait to be back!

Our stay was beyond what we imagined. John and Jane were very hospitable and accommodating. The barn is by far the nicest option in the area - John and Jane built it recently - it is all new appliances, furnishings - it feels like a top notch hotel experience, but with the advantages of having a kitchen, washer/dryer and extra space. John was very helpful in providing advice on restaurant recommendations. Our favorites were JJ Hapgood General Store and Eatery (Peru, VT) and SoLo Farm & Table (South Londonderry, VT). I would absolutely recommend for anyone to stay here.

This barn apartment was perfect in every way. The owners spared no expense in their beautiful renovation from barn to living space. Their design eye is right on. The setting can't be beat, on top of a rolling hill with views of the beautiful Green Mountains. Mornings were particularly magical as rolling fog covered the mountain valley. The barn is a 4 minute drive from Manchester Center, a quintessential New England town with great restaurants, outlet shopping and hiking. This was the perfect vacation in every way.

This place is breathtakingly magical. The best decision we made our entire trip. Every detail of the barn (that John and Jane built by hand!) is so gorgeously thought out, you can tell how much love went into creating this space. The downstairs brick is heated, which really made a difference in the chilly morning. The kitchen was fully equipped and stocked for cooking/baking. The bed was HUGE and comfy. The TV swivels in the custom made dividing wall, so we could watch movies in both the bedroom area and living room. The remote controlled, temperature specific fireplace was perfect for cuddling. And omg, the grand english-stow lawn felt like the whole property was privately yours. This is more than a barn, it's an estate. The town was adorable and the shopping/restaurant options were perfect. Gorgeous hiking trails are all over the area. John and Jane were so kind and accommodating, if you have the opportunity to stay here, consider yourself lucky! We never wanted to leave!

This is a perfect romantic get away. I could not have asked for a better setting for a weekend I'll never forget. The place is great for a stay-cation or to enjoy the outdoors and the local shopping. Loved Leslie's place! We had such a wonderful time at their incredible space. So much space and light - we felt right at home as we walked in and the bedrooms were quiet and spacious even with our little 9 month child. Les was so kind and inviting and was super helpful when we checked in - made you feel right at home. Their property is gorgeous and immaculate and walking and spending time on the grounds was such a great break between a busy work weekend. The barn was a perfect stay for a weekend trip. The main living space is very airy and open, with great light and big windows framing the views. Beautiful wood details throughout. Conveniently close to town but still quiet and secluded. We ended up having a lovely Japanese lunch at the Southern Vermont Arts Center just across the way.

Leslie and Veronica are the perfect hosts. The barn is super clean and comfortable. Everything that I needed was provided and more: a really great steamer, a Keurig machine, fresh cherries+grapes in the fridge and umbrellas. We were given beautiful flowers from Les's garden. We could not have asked for a better stay. This property, Les and Veronica exceeded my expectations and then some. Cant wait to come back!

Five stars. My family (my parents and wife) had a wonderful stay for a week. The space is amazing; includes comfortable seating for relaxing and reading a book, beautiful artwork created by the host, and separate sleeping areas which offer privacy. The surrounding grounds and vistas are breathtaking. The hosts were super communicative and very welcoming. I would recommend staying here to any couple or small group.

Nice barn and very well located if you want to enjoy and wonderfully decorated barn where you can comfortably read a good book. We also enjoyed sitting outside, did a bit of hiking and went to the Southern Vermont Art center across the street from the barn. Everything you needed

The Big Green Barn is a charming location close to Manchester center making it a great location for exploring this eclectic town. The house is cheerful, well appointed and grounds are beautiful.

I had a wonderful stay at Torie's home. The house is spacious, well-equipped, private, in a great location, and you can't beat the views of the Battenkill River! I would highly recommend this place for families, or anyone looking to be close to town, yet still have some privacy.

The Battenkill River condo is exactly as advertised. Clean, homey, very close to downtown Manchester. The property is peaceful and serene and the condo has everything thst you will need!

This unit is part of a very nice house on the Battenkill river frontage with a nice terrace with fire pit looking at the river. There is a grill on the deck and table and chairs to dine outside. 3 nice under roof bedroom with AC units. One with a bunk bed (double and single), laundry in bathroom. One master bedroom with bath room end suite. Very calm and private property. Well equipped and 3' away from Manchester center, 12' from show grounds.

This home was beautiful and comfortable. A perfect fit for my family. Traveling with kid sounds can be difficult, especially in a hotel room, this was definitely the route to go!

This was an oasis for us horse show girls after long days of competing at the Vermont Summer Festival. An easy 12 minute drive to the show grounds! The condo was equipped with cooking tools, lots of towels, a wonderful washer and dryer, a dishwasher, a fire pit, and a lovely deck. We all felt very comfortable in the condo, and enjoyed the comfortable beds, cozy living room, and the calm outdoor space. Torrie and Ben made it feel like we were walking into our own homes, which is just what we were looking for!

This place was great for before/after our half marathon in Manchester!

Risa was a great host. She began communicating with my wife and me well before we arrive, and during our stay was always available to answer questions. She even left us coffee and muffins for our mornings. The room at her place might be small for some couples, but a couple traveling light or a single person will likely not have problems. Staying at Risa's is great option if you need to be in Manchester or want to explore the surrounding area.

Risa is a perfect host! She welcomed us very warm and friendly. She had fresh fruit and muffins for breakfast and in our room a bottle of wine She gave us good tips for restaurants and things to do. Her house is cosy and clean. The bedroom and bathroom are good. It was nice that we could use her washingmachine and dryer. She was busy during our stay, so we didn't see her much, but we felt her attention! We really liked our stay in her condo!

Risa was an amazing host!!! She made my daughter and me feel more than welcome. She was very responsive from the time of the booking up until we departed. Her space is super clean!!! Just how I keep my home, so I felt more than comfortable sleeping on her bed and using her shower. Risa has a warm spirit and I would recommend booking with her anytime. Risa's accommodations were perfect! We wanted to stay somewhere other than a hotel and within walking distance of the town shopping area - this cozy condo absolutely fit the bill. Easy to contact, promptly responsive, friendly and open, Risa was a terrific host, even leaving us a bottle of wine to enjoy, fixing morning coffee for us, encouraging us to enjoy her fruit, her teas...even the most delicious muffins purchased before arrival were ours to enjoy. Getting around town from her place was so simple....walking into town was a visual delight including gorgeous June flower gardens and the surrounding green mountains. Risa suggested spots to visit. And had maps and brochures available. Room had full bed, tv, drawers, accessible wi-fi...and wine though I think I mentioned that. We were encouraged to make our own hours while never losing contact or feeling uncomfortable. Stay here for a clean, pleasant and affordable visit to Manchester!

The listing was very accurate, and Risa was an amazing host! The room was very cozy, and warm. She put a nice bottle of wine and chocolates for us which was totally unexpected, and very much appreciated! The bedroom and the bathroom were incredibly clean as well. Risa made us coffee in the morning, and had English muffins, bananas, and donuts ready for us. She also recommended a great restaurant for us for dinner. I will definitely come back to stay if I'm ever in Manchester again.

This was an excellent Airbnb listening. Although we missed Tina both days we were there, her instructions for access and operating everything in the house were perfect. The tall person in our party truly appreciated the shower extender! And everyone said great things of Tina and she went above and beyond when she found something we left she offered to mail it to us, but we just asked her to donate it.

We decided to drive north to ski and were able to book Tina's place on a very short notice! Loved the apartment, it is nice and clean, very cosy!

My husband and I traveled to Manchester to attend a conference at the Equinox. The apartment is in a scenic rural area but just a quick drive to the Equinox and downtown. The apartment is just as described, located in the back of the house which offered privacy. The apartment was homey and cozy, more than enough space for my husband and I. The apartment was about a 30 minute drive to Stratton so my husband was able to ski during the day. Tina was warm and welcoming on my arrival. She was always prompt with responses. Tina had also suggested some yummy restaurants for dinner. I would recommend staying here.

I highly recommend this sweet cottage. Tina is a wonderful host, making everything about our stay easy. The cottage itself is immaculate, comfortable, and sweet. The location was perfect for us - secluded, yet very close to the Village Center. I hope we can stay at Tina's whenever we visit Manchester.

Clean, Rustic cottage with vintage furniture and nice view of pond.

My wife, 2-year old toddler, and I had a lovely time at the Little House. The location was excellent, it was great to have a fully functional kitchen, and we enjoyed relaxing on the deck overlooking the pond out back. I highly recommend a stay in this beautiful part of southern Vermont. Make sure to drive to the top of Mt. Equinox (5 minutes away)!

Lovely lake house. Great place to unplug and relax after visiting the Hildene Home. Lisa provided plenty of food and extra comforts for a nice stay. Close to excellent restaurants and shopping.

Thank you Lisa! My friend and I stayed here for 4 days while working in Manchester and it was great. Close to town but feels like your hidden away. It's a really simple place, no TV, no wifi, just relax and enjoy it! It's also right down the street from "Earth, Sky, Time." A local community farm and great place to grab fresh bread and organic veggies to cook :)

First, Lisa was really great with communication. She responded to us right away when we have questions. Second, check in was super easy (and she even let us have a late check out). The place is perfect for 2 ppl (or even 4ppl if you don't mind the pull-out couch). She stocked up the place with all your basic necessities of eggs, breads, coffee, milk, Vermont treats... etc, which we were super grateful for. It was lovely to have coffee every morning on the back porch, and watch the stars at night while having a glass of wine, and listening to the frogs calling each other. Manchester itself was amazing in the Summer, we will definitely be back and recommend the place to everyone we know! Thanks for letting us stay at your lovely place. Féline & Ryan

I have stayed in at least half a dozen airbnb properties, always ones with reviews. I took a risk staying in this property as it had no reviews, but I made the plans last minute and hoped for the best. There were a few major issues from my perspective. The first is that I was travelling with 2 young children and was counting on the sleeping arrangements being as described in the listing and they were not. The listing describes a bedroom with 2 double beds and a common area with a sofa bed. There was no sofa bed (furthermore, the sofa that was pictured was not there, instead there is a sectional sofa that is very worn and in this instance was covered with dog fur from the previous guests). The bedroom actually has two twin beds, not two double beds. This sleeping arrangement just didn't work for us. Check-in was via a lock box and so we didn't meet Lisa. I tried to contact her to see if she could bring over an air mattress or something. I tried the phone number listed and got a man's voicemail. I left a message and sent a text but got no response. I also sent an email to the airbnb email from Lisa and got no response. Aside from the listing not being as described and not being able to reach Lisa, the other issue was the cleanliness of the house. Lisa had sent me an email prior to the stay saying she wasn't going to have time to come by and tidy up before our stay. I thought this was weird seeing as all the other places we've stayed have a cleaning fee included. Upon checking my invoice I noticed there was no cleaning fee for this one. The people before us stayed with 3 dogs and the sofa and rug and floors were covered with dog fur. Also, we had to put the linens on the beds ourselves and we could only find 3 fitted sheets and one flat sheet, so I had to sleep with a fitted sheet on me. Lisa left us a bag with clean towels. Otherwise, the kitchen had the basic amenities and also included tea, coffee and maple syrup. Dish soap, sponge, paper towels were included. The bathroom was fine. The house is in a fine, central location, right on Rt. 7 in Manchester. If the sleeping arrangements had been accurately described, we could have brought an air mattress. As it was, we didn't get much sleep, each having to sleep in a twin bed with an infant and toddler respectively. It was very frustrating not being able to reach Lisa about this. Overall, I won't stay in a listing with no reviews again!

Had a great time at the Little House! Great weekend getaway.

This place is in a great localization - in the center of Manchester. Everything was amusing especially that this is a composition of modern equipment (dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, etc. ) with old fashion furnitures from end of 18's centuries. The house is fully equipments for all You need for spending a good time. Everything is prepared right and clean. Towels are included. The neighborhood is quite and lovely, very close to hiking trails and historical places. 100% recommendation

Matthew's house was basically perfect! A gorgeous antique home in the heart of Manchester, just a few minutes walk from the Equinox Hotel. Everything was very comfortable and clean and we felt right at home. The only issue we experienced was the WiFi not working, but otherwise it was a great stay. I would definitely stay here again. Matthew also responded very quickly to any questions I had.

Everything about the house and our stay was perfect The house is clean like new The kitchen is more than fully equip. They have creuset plates and quality knifes !!! The host is quick to answer any questions Extra towels in every room The most confortable beds Needless to say .... Just WOW!!

Sonia is a very independent , strong and charismatic individual and I hope to see her again real soon. My quarters and location were perfect And convinient to all activities.

Sonia's place is clean, comfortable and quiet. Easily walkable to a couple restaurants/taprooms, or a couple minute drive into town for more restaurants, shopping, farmers markets, and for those making the pilgrimage to Orvis. Easy drive to ski destinations like Bromley and Stratton and many year round outdoor attractions.

Sunny is a very welcoming host. She works very hard, has a lovely home within walking distance of a number of restaurants. Big bedroom with a new comfy king bed. TV room and living room available. Big back deck
