Places to stay in Market Drayton

Places to stay in Market Drayton
My place is good for couples, individuals, and business travellers. Set on a farm in rural Shropshire but accessible, 12 miles from the M6.
The accommodation is a recently restored Georgian kitchen and scullery, separate from the main house, with the original 19th century bread oven as a central feature. This is a bucolic idyll which is a real rural retreat for visitors to the area but has also been enjoyed by musicians, writers and academics as a place to work.
Beautiful rural Shropshire, in 36 acres of park and farm land which you are welcome to roam through. The local village is Norton-In -Hales which is walking distance to a very nice pub.
  • Fabulous setting, beautiful conversion and great hosts. Highly recommended.

  • This place is amazing - a beautiful little oast house, in a picture perfect rural idyll ... nothing that hasn't already been said. I'd give 7 stars if I could.

  • This is a light, bright space. Very comfortable and welcoming. It is in a very quiet setting, an ideal place to relax.

  • This is a lovely country place with immaculate mod cons (note: no wifi) however it is beautiful and watching the peacocks is very entertaining.

  • The Bread Oven is a suitably sized property of a extremely high standard. It’s perfect for couples and I would even consider staying here when I work away from home. It will exceed your expectations inside and out. The host was lovely and made sure we had info on the location and helped with taxi numbers. Located in impressive grounds of an estate, you will go a long way to try and find a place of this standard. One of the best places on AirBNB we have stayed in.

  • Gorgeous character cottage in beautiful surroundings.

Spend a magical holiday in our Shropshire-made Mongolian yurts, privately situated on our 140 acre organic farm in Shropshire’s Tern Valley. Our yurts are perfect for a romantic hideaway or a family adventure. Complete with compost toilet, camping shower, beds, wood burner, gas BBQ, bed linen for 4 and even a kitchen sink. At the right time of year there is also an edible garden including marigolds, mint, gooseberries and damson trees, meaning you won’t have to go far for that quick snack!
Our two yurts are interconnected, providing the perfect getaway for up to six people. One is used as the bedroom and the other the living space. Epitomising the glamping offer (glamorous camping) whilst still providing you with the feeling of camping out with nature, we want you to feel spoilt and inspired. There is a gas powered cool box for example, but nowhere to plug in your hair straighteners or toothbrush! (Also no Wi-Fi) The yurts are insulated with sheep’s wool, have cotton sheets on the beds, decking to sit out and admire the views along the Tern Valley, and a book shelf stocked with everything you could ever want. A holiday in our yurts is about enjoying and feeling part of nature, with that little bit of extra comfort. Plus you have the farm shop and Arthur’s Farm Kitchen not too far away yurts for those essentials, such as a cooked breakfast, Sunday roast or pack of free range Gloucester Old Spot sausages!
The Farm Shop sells a variety of produce: Milk, butter and bread, seasonal vegetables, cheeses, drinks, jams, chutneys, drinks, sweets, biscuits, cakes, ice cream, pies, cooked meats, butchery counter, beer, cider, wines. Arthur’s Farm Kitchen serves cooked breakfasts, hot lunches, Sunday Roasts, light bites, cakes and drinks. Sainsbury’s Local: 203 Shrewsbury Rd, Market Drayton, Shropshire TF9 3EH, tel: (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) minute walk) Morrisons Supermarket: Maer Lane, Market Drayton, TF9 3AL, tel: (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) minute walk) Cash point: Sainsbury’s Local Garage: Shell Ternhill, Chester Road, Market Drayton, TF9 2JQ, tel: (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) miles) Closest pub is the Kings Head (20 minute walk), we recommend the Red Lion (Joules Brewery) (40-45 minute walk) Market Day in the town centre – every Wednesday there is a lovely street market in Market Drayton.
  • Absolutely perfect weekend in the perfect space. As a family of five, the yurt had everything we needed. We lived by candlelight, through storm Dennis and it rained a lot but it didn’t matter!!! We put our coats and wellies on and we got wet and muddy and we didn’t care. We had no electricity, no technology, we climbed trees, we played board games, we read stories, sang songs and pretended to make YouTube videos. We laughed, we used a compost toilet, woke up to cows and baby piglets, climbed trees, made leaf pies, cooked beans on toast on an open fire, rode down the hill in a trolley, played stuck in the mud tig and occasionally got stuck in the mood...we even managed to barbecue and we loved every second of it! Fordhall Farm and Charlotte we can’t thank you enough for the perfect stay, from hidden gingerbread men to the birthday card you left for my 6 year old, it was just fantastic. We’re home now with bin bags full of washing and muddy boots but we had the best of times❤️

  • Cannot recommend this place enough! The perfect get away for friends or family and so serene! We had no problems and everything was perfect for our stay! Thanks again for a great holiday!

    Lois2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • As expected..mud, puddles, the great outdoors and farm animals! Lovely weekend in this fabulous yurt. A great getaway weekend to celebrate my friends birthday :) would love to come back in the summer.

    Courtney2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Fordham Farm yurts are an excellent place to unwind and relax in a farm atmosphere. We loved lighting the fire and seeing the gorgeous farm animals every morning. The farm kitchen and store looked lovely and we wish we had more time to cook with the produce! Definitely bring your wellies and don’t over pack like we did! Also plenty to do in the surrounding areas and market drayton has a very friend community feel.

  • Great place to stay we really enjoyed our adventure

    Michael2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in the Yurt on a sunny weekend in June and had the most wonderful time. The Yurt had everything we needed for a perfect weekend away, we visited both the farm shop and the cafe on site too which were delicious. The Yurt is in a fabulous location just a short walk from the farm through cattle fields with no neighbours apart from the farms animals. Our little boy loved watching farmer bed herd the cows in a morning, especially when they ran straight past our gate. The Yurt has great facilities for children with two toy boxes, lots of board games and a folder full of activities to explore the nature around. The staff were lovely, if we were unsure or had a problem they could not do enough for us. We used the new showers in the bunk house because it was vacant, which were beautiful and very clean. I would not hesitate to stay in the Yurt again or recommend this stay. If there was one thing missing, it was that we could not bring our dog even though dogs are allowed on leads throughout the farm.

  • Enjoyed our stay, brilliant place, amazing shop and servicex Kids loved it, would recommend x

    Nadine2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely fantastic location, fantastic experience for the kids and overall just really great to deal with from start to finish. Instructions were super helpful and local guides for the area were great. Just a beautiful place to stay with the fire burning, and amazing place to wake up as well. Loved the little walk through the field, and all the little details that were in the yurt. Ver y cozy space. The only downside was it was too cold to sit outside and use the barbecue area, but we shall certainly be back to do so again! Massively recommended!

Upstairs was lovely and warm with living room, 2 good size bedroom and a bathroom with great shower. Property is very close to a pub which we didn't use but ordered an Indian take out instead - got the number from a welcome pack a the property which was full of really useful info about the house itself and things to do in the area. Can highly recommend this property and the host, 5 Star.

  • Such a charming and quaint cottage with steeps of history around. Personal outside area is great for relaxing as it's secluded and quiet. Inside has evrrything for a peaceful and charmimg stay with extra touches such as local Gingerbread and breakfast already provided (just needs cooking), coupled with fruit. We only had four days to visit family, but had all amenities within short walking distance. Highly recommended and although we didn't have time to meet Sarah the host, due to a very early flight home, she kept in regular contact and was very helpful and friendly.

  • This was our first Air B&B trip and based on the listing we had high hopes. The property more than lived up to our expectations and is somehow better than the photos. Lisa is a great host and made our visit go perfectly as planned. Would highly recommend

    Les2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • We knew the cottage was going to be fabulous from the photos, but it definitely exceeded our expectations. It was much bigger than we expected. The kids instantly fell in love with the underfloor heating in the kitchen! The rooms were all a good size, really clean and the decor was spot on. The cottage had high tech appliances (luckily for me I had teenage children who knew how to work the tv!). I loved lighting the fire every morning and the view from the garden was beautiful. We will be back when it’s not so cold and wet so we can make the most of the outside space.

  • You will get a very warm welcome and Jean and Cyril very generously share their lovely home with their guests. We could not fault our experience and neither could our 16 year old son. The rooms are spotlessly clean and we found the beds the most comfortable we had experienced in other holiday accommodation. The breakfast was really good and Jean and Cyril are very interesting people to chat with. We rate it 5 star in every respect.

My home is a cottage in a small hamlet 50 yards from the Shropshire Union Canal. You will love my place because of the peace and quiet and lovely views of the Cheshire Countryside. It is an ideal place for couples or solo travellers. The village of Audlem (with three pubs) is within walking distance along the canal tow path.
Coxbank is very quiet and feels like a forgotten haven away from busy roads. That said the village of Audlem is only a mile walk down the canal tow path. If you want peaceful walks around the Cheshire/Shropshire countryside my cottage is ideal.
  • Great little find for an escape in lovely countryside and Monique's famous breakfast.

    Victoria2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Monique is a wonderful host. I wouldn't normally choose to stay in a private house as I sometimes feel that your are intruding,. Monique's place was close to where I needed to be in Audlem and is an absolutely charming property. Monique made us feel very welcome, she was so chatty and we certainly didn't feel unwelcome. Our room had everything you needed, the bed was very comfy and everywhere was very clean. She provided a superb full English breakfast, including oat cakes, which was a real treat. I would definitely recommend a stay with Monique.

    Claire2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Monique was the perfect host, she left the keys for us and cooked us a lovely breakfast and was extremely friendly. Would highly recommend a weekend stay with her.

    Bertie2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • You can expect the most comfortable bed with feather duvet and pillows. The bathroom is sparkling clean with one of the best showers I've used. Monique is delightful company and gave us full cooked breakfasts - delicious. Rose Cottage is in a charming village and we had a great walk along the canal in the sunshine.

    Gill2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • A warm welcome for both us and our dog, great communication, extremely clean and fantastic early, very early breakfast

    Rachel2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • a little gem hidden away in the countryside with a fantastic host who treats you like a family friend, we were made to feel so at home in this beautiful old house, and for us who live in the city, to be somewhere with no sound of traffic at all was so relaxing

    Michael2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Monique will welcome you into her quirky but brilliant cottage with open arms and you won't want to leave. I can't say anything better than that, can I???

    Neil2018-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Monique offers a real home from home stay. She is lovely to talk to and so knowledgeable about the area but equally offers plenty of privacy. Worked really well for us staying in the area for a wedding. She went above and beyond and even took our dog out for a walk whilst we were at the wedding. Her dog is lovely, very calm and amazingly tolerant of our persistent younger dog! Many thanks for everything

  • Comfortable, clean and quiet. Lovely rural village and as such very quiet. Welcoming host (including the gorgeous Fen). Would totally recommend this host and her home

    Carolyn2019-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Alison and her family are lovely people. We had only stayed in AirBNB where we had the place to ourselves before so this was our first venture. We were more than pleasantly surprised. The family are relaxed and their home is beautifully and stylishly appointed. Their dog is the softest quietest little guy who was very gentle around our nearly-2-year-old. The bed was ultra comfy and the surroundings peaceful and tranquil. Ali offered us hot drinks and breakfast, completely unexpected and lovely. Thanks for a great stay.

    John2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • It was a joy to stay with Ali and her family in their lovely home, they treated me like one of the family and went several extra miles to help out a wet, dirty, tired hiker. The bed is amazingly comfortable and the facilities luxurious, all in all this an exceptional AirBnB.

  • Lovely quiet accommodation. Little trouble finding the place as I arrived after dark. Lovely facilities, everything you need!

    Gary2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • We would have loved to be staying longer than one night. The annex is modern and very well appointed. The breakfast items were great and much appreciated. We did not meet our hosts but the thought and consideration in the items provided speak volumes in the fact that they care about your comfort while staying. Next time we are in the area we will definitely look to stay again.

  • Beautiful self contained annexe that is sparkling clean in a quiet and peaceful location. Providing food for breakfast is a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend the annexe to family and friends, thank you very much.

    Helen2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Although this is attached to the main house the actual experience once you are inside is the feel of a separate country hideaway. It is beautifully furnished with a lovely comfy bed in the eaves with surrounding silent countryside. The added touches of breakfast all setup and ready for you are the equivalent of staying in a top boutique hotel but obviously for half the price! It is local to a well renowned restaurant and a lovely country pub that we have tried and tested in the past and lots of options for days out. The hosts couldn’t be more pleasant and we would most definitely stay again.

Running along the Shropshire/ Staffordshire boarder you can find our Little Blue Hut. Nestled into a hill it offers views not to be missed. Once inside this 'little space' you will feel totally immersed into the countryside, so pack your wellies, bring the dog there's no time to waste with so much to explore.
If you're in need of getting away then the Little Blue Hut is the place to be. The perfect environment to totally switch off this little Hut could be your home from home. All you need to do is pack a small bag, your cosiest duvet, pillows and sheets and all will be all ok - o and don't forget the wellies
Situated in the countryside, you wont help but feel the true effect of 'popping out to get some fresh air'. There are many walks with a few local pubs a short distance away. A small book with local landmarks, pubs and restaurants can be found within the Hut.
  • Well where do I start?! Firstly the location is absolutely perfect, surrounded by fields and beautiful views, the only thing disturbing you is the sound of local wildlife, it was just what we needed!! There are so many picturesque walks to do nearby with lots of local pubs, we drove to the nearby Cock Inn for dinner one night about 5 mins away from the hut, fantastic food and lovely service. The hut itself was what we hoped for and more. All the necessities were provided for with a plug in hob , kettle and fridge. We made breakfast in the hut both mornings on our stay more than easily and enjoyed breakfast with fab views. The bed was comfy with amazing views for in the morning with a coffee, the bathroom was perfect with everything needed and the hot tub was the icing on the cake with Bluetooth integrated so you can listen to music of your choice while bubbling away. This was the perfect retreat we’d hoped for and more, missing it already! Highly recommend x

    Hannah2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The little blue hut is an amazing little break. Pip and her family have really put some lovely touches to the place that make it super cosy. Being able to sit in the hot tub over looking the fields with no one near by, was truly relaxing. This was my first Airbnb experience and the communication from Pip and Bob, from start to finish was better than expected! Would 100% recommend for people who want a little break away from everything.

    Adele2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little hut on the field, although it's on a farm you are away from any noise or disturbance. Very relaxing, quiet and open location. And only across the field is the canal path leading to a nice walk and a few pubs! The hut itself was so much better than we expected; clean, new and cosy. We were here when storm Dennis decided to make an appearance but it was no bother and it was nice how relaxing it was in the hut whilst listening to the wind and rain. Both hosts were very easy to get hold of and helpful before and during our stay! Nice little gestures in the hut, we loved the treats on arrival!

    Haimay2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful retreat this is if you’re looking to get away from the world and want done great walks. Pip responded to all queries prior to arrival very promptly and the was there to greet us on arrival. The hot tub is wonderful and there are so many nice touches inside, so much thought has been put into this little space. There are hooks for hanging things up all along the wall so no concerns about storage space. The bed was very comfortable and the little plug in hob was brilliant for cooking. I’d recommend bringing slippers as the floor can be a little chilly I’d definitely go back, maybe in the summer next time as I think that would be glorious!

A simple cottage with a private garden with fruit trees. In the quiet countryside, in the grounds of Buntingsdale Hall, a private manor house with woods and a lake. Two miles from Market Drayton
White painted and simply decorated, a little cottage in the grounds of Buntingsdale Hall. A wartime building restored as a cottage. Painted white, with simple, neutral furnishings, and cotton duvet covers and pillows. The kitchen has been restored with a huge slate sink from a Welsh farmhouse. In the middle of woods, with visits from badgers, foxes, buzzards and the occasional polecat! Access to large private lake and wild lakeside, with river's edge.
Very quiet and green, with dark skies at night. A rural area, but within 2 miles of Market Drayton (7 minutes by car, 35 minutes on foot), a historic market town with a street market every Wednesday. Close to Fordhall Farm, a community farm with children's activities and a great farm shop and cafe. Twenty minutes drive to Shrewsbury, a busy regional hub.
  • We had a lovely stay at Victoria's place. Great communication with our host. Very tasty welcome treats. The cottage is rustic, clean and has good bedding. We really enjoyed the walk around the lake. The red Lion in Markey Drayton is excellent!

The snug is on the Cheshire/Shropshire/Staffordshire border with many places to visit in the immediate vicinity, Plus many great pubs serving excellent food, and local pretty walks. If you're looking for magical adventure and would like to step out of reality and rest a while then look no further! The Hobbitesque Snug is a quirky and unique experience, something a little different, and very romantic with its cosy wooden structure which smells of pine inside and its Hobbit like round windows and door. At night time all you can hear are the owls hooting, foxes barking and bats all around. It’s a special place to be close to nature. It is a unique stay whether in the glorious sunshine, the driving wind and rain or the most cozy is the cold frosty wintertime. The snug has 2 rooms, 1 lounge area which has a small sofa bed and 1 bedroom which has a small double bed - the bedroom is separated by a round hole which you climb through and has curtains for privacy. Please see photos. There is a separate converted rustic hut outside the snug that has the toilet/shower and sink. (see photos) We have the facilities to sleep 3 people (a small sofa bed which would accommodate a child or small adult, and a small double bed) but the snug is ideally suited for a couple. We believe in taking away all the modern stresses in todays lifestyle so do not provide Wifi, though there is a TV and DVD player should you wish to watch it, or maybe relax over a glass of wine and watch a roaring log fire whilst toasting marshmallows... there is a barbeque for you to use and a local butcher a mile away who can supply organic meat of superb quality. The snug is equipped with a fridge, microwave, kettle, and a toaster. We provide a bag of logs for outdoor log fires and marshmallows for toasting upon request (£10) Tea, coffee and biscuits are complimentary, and organic semi-skimmed milk will be in your fridge. Please just ask if you prefer a milk alternative. Please also let us know if you would like to purchase barbeque coals. Because of the quirky nature of the cozy cabin retreat, there are steps and round doors to climb through in to the snug and therefore unsuitable for anybody with mobility issues. You will need a car as we are in the middle of nowhere :) For Winter stays (October - April) please note that due to ground conditions it may not be possible to drive up to the Hobbit house, we have a private yard outside our house where you can park your car and walk up to the retreat, please bring your wellies and waterproof jacket incase it’s rainy :-) No dogs please.
We are perfectly situated for all sorts of attractions such as Bridgemere Gardens (1 mile away) Dagfield Antique Emporium and Tea rooms (2 miles away) Within 2-3 miles there are gastro pubs in either direction, the Boars Head (a trendy upmarket place to drink and eat with an extensive gastro menu)The Swan at Wynbunbury (famous for its leaning church and real ales and craft lagers amazing food!) and the Chetwood Arms (traditional pub with homecooked scrummy food) Then there is Nantwich, the local town which is a pretty little market town full of boutiques and little independent coffee shops and close by to that is the 'Secret Bunker' only a short drive away. About a 30 minute drive away you can visit the world famous World of Wedgewood, Trentham gardens and the Monkey forest. We are also well situated for the historic City of Chester and Chester Zoo, and the beautiful Tatton Park. We have a comprehensive guide to local attractions, coffee shops and recommended places to eat inside the cosy cabin retreat.

Would totally recommend and I'll definitely keep Janine's place in mind when visiting that part of the country again 👍

  • After a 2 night stay in the Wrekin view caravan what can I say? It truely was the best weekend. The hosts Janine and Chris are so lovely, and nothing was too much trouble. They were always available but never invading your privacy. Such a friendly couple, they would stop for a chat and just to ask if you needed anything. We turned up on a friday afternoon to prosseco in the fridge along with fresh chicken eggs. Such a thoughtful touch. The caravan its self was clean, amazingly stocked and had the best views. My 3 year old loved the animals and made some amazing friends, including bam bam (pig), harry (lamb) all of the lindseys (chickens), moss the sheepdog and both the cats!! The animals are so well loved and are looked after so well. Its was total peace and quiet while we were there, and would go back in a heart beat. Thanks again so much for everything..including the butter that i forgot to pack haha

  • Elizabeth’s beautiful house is in a lovely country setting. She is so warm and friendly, was very easy to make arrangements with and was so welcoming. A lovely family home atmosphere, in a spotlessly clean and spacious house. Our room was beautifully furnished, clean and comfortable and we slept very well.

  • We stayed at Bett's place whilst visiting Keele University. Its a lovely old house in a charming rural setting. Bett is just a super kind host and we enjoyed chatting with her in front of the fire. Highly recommended!

  • Such a wonderful place to stay. The bedroom is perfect, very elegant + spotlessly clean. The bed is very comfortable. Beautiful to wake up to bird song and sunlight flooding the room. The shared bathroom is right next to the bedroom with a decent shower. Bett is a wonderful host, so warm and welcoming. Accommodated our late arrival no problems. Told us to help ourselves to tea + coffee. The second night we had the whole place to ourselves after retuning from a local wedding. A real find and good value compared to the cost of hotels in the area. Highly recommend! A huge thank you! 🙏🏻

We are located in a rural area close to the lovely market town of Nantwich and village of Audlem. Great local pubs and lots of walks. This a traditionally styled Studio flat above the stables. We have free WIFI.
We do have horses 🐎 dogs and cats, all friendly. The accommodation is above the Stables so the occasional snort may be heard although it’s well insulated.
We are very lucky to be surrounded by countryside. However there's plenty going on in the near by towns and villages. Dagfields, a craft and antique center is just around the corner. It also has a tea shop. Bridgemere garden center, is the largest garden center in the UK and is a diverse day out with beautiful show gardens. Nantwich Cheese show, Nantwich food festival and Nantwich Jazz festival all great events.
  • The apartment above the stable is stunning, no other work for it, the bed provided the best nights sleep I’ve had in ages and the furnishings are all very high quality. You can hear the horses moving about and occasionally snorting but it really does not intrude inside the space, I found it comforting and not at all disturbing. You can park on premise behind a security gate so suitable for business travelers as well as families. The apartment is freshly decorated, has all new appliances and the shower facilities are both sparkling clean and modern. Shelley is a very relaxed hostess, she and he family are happy to have people around what is effectively a working as well as home environment, so you feel both welcomed but also can enjoy your privacy. I would heartily recommend those apartment

  • Really loved our stay at Shelley’s. Lovely location and nice to hear the horses! Communication with Shelley was very easy, with clear instructions on how to find the place, get through the gate and into the property. The place itself was gorgeous - very comfortable and clean! A really nice touch to have bread, milk and jam for the morning :). Would highly recommend and stay here again

  • Such a lovely space in a quiet location. We wanted some peace and quiet and we definitely got it. Aside from the odd whinny of a horse Shelley’s place is extremely quiet. The check in was easy (turn the handle to the left!) and the place was clean. We had a lovely time. Would go again.

Welcome to little Rosie, situated in our courtyard garden. The compact kitchen gives you the choice to eat at home but we are also five minutes walk from Newport High Street with an ever growing option of cafes, restaurants and pubs as well as Waitrose. Little Rosie has off street parking, is five minutes drive from Harper Adams and within very easy reach of Lilleshall Sports Centre, Weston Park and Telford. Two pubs serving food are on your doorstep and both offer a warm welcome.
Little Rosie is situated in the grounds of our home where we have lived for over 20 years. The house was once a school for boys in the 1800's and Little Rosie has been converted from the old workshop that stood in the courtyard. Although very close to the town, the courtyard surrounds little Rosie and with the Wisteria, Roses, birds and water fountain you can be hidden away. Little Rosie has a small kitchen which has recently been updated. We have installed a microwave oven and refrigerator within the kitchen and we have slow cooker, toasters and toastie makers on request. The studio bedroom holds a double bed, chest of drawers, Tv and comfortable chair. We have a DVD and book library which we are very happy for you to use. WIFI has just been updated all over the main house which has had the added bonus of making Little Rosie super fast, so if your are bringing work home with you be assured that WIFI is not a problem (subject to outside influences beyond our control). If you want to watch Netflix please ask us for our code. The bathroom has a wet room floor, electric shower, heated towel rail, basin and WC. Towels are included as well as basic toiletries but if you have forgotten anything please let us know we usually have spares of everything. Early and late check outs are possible with prior arrangement.
Newport is a busy market town with good access to Telford, Stafford and beyond. The town has many cafes, pubs and eating places which are all within walking distance from Little Rosie. We are fortunate to have a thriving town which many independent shops as well as a few of your high street stores. On Fridays and Saturdays, Newport Market Hall has a recently refurbished food market which also has some gems of antique, flea and jewellery stalls (all undercover). we are situated not far from the canal which offers lovely walks from our doorstep. If you are a walker we can recommend lots of lovely walks from foot or a short car drive away.
  • Really really lovely place to stay, easily accessible, good safe parking with cameras, clean and perfect little homely stop for one night. Hosts Rachel & Owen were really helpful, with quick responses too. Will definitely stay again!

This intriguing home is situated only a couple of miles from the M6. It is a quiet and peaceful area with its own village pond. There is a large private garden, off road parking and a lockable bike shed. Also 3 other rooms available at this property (Sky room, Vintage room and Cloud room). The village has restaurants and takeaways as well as local convenient stores that open till late. Ideal for students at Keele University, a mini break or any other business travellers.
  • Excellent value for money. I was stuck more than 2 hr from home on a 2 day course at Keele University and I urgently needed a place to stay. There was 1 room left in Kami's house (she has 4 in total). The bed was comfy, towel and toothpaste provided, and there's even an option to share your room with the cat, if you are a cat person (if you aren't don't worry, no fur in site in my room). I chose the very lovely soft and non scratchy cat option. I had a desk in my room so I did a tiny bit of work, watched a bit of Netflix (there is WiFi) and had a very comfortable sleep. Kami was on hand to offer an array of breakfast in the morning. I wasn't really aware of the other guests, who kept themselves to themselves. Totally recommend staying here

The hosts are friendly and happy to help, and the included eggs and bread were delicious. We went there for a weekend escape and spent most of our time enjoying having a lazy weekend in the cabin. • We had a great 2 nights on the farm in Shropshire. We were welcomed and shown around and we appreciated all the thoughtful little touches. Our daughters loved being so close to the animals and the highlight was the 2 day old piglets. We would recommend and hope to be back again one day.

  • Stayed here overnight on our way home from Alton Towers. We were amazed with everything from the caravan being huge and sparkling clean to the great location on the farm. The hosts were really friendly and welcoming and gave us a great reccomendation for a place to eat after a long day out. The caravan has so many thoughtful touches and the hosts have really thought of everything. We enjoyed exploring the farm and meeting all the animals.

  • We had the most fantastic time with Janine and Chris over the past few days. The kids loved Mossy and helping around the farm. The were out every morning with Janine to feed the chickens, ducks, lambs, pigs, walk Moss and give George and Ernie the rams a head rub. In the evening they went out with Chris on the Gator and put everything back to bed. It was the most amazing time, and we all cannot wait to go back there. The accommodation was brilliant and clean with excellent facilities. But it was the warm welcome and interaction with Janine and Chris and the animals that made it so special.

West facing exposure and fronting the Shropsire Union Canal means sitting in the afternoon sunshine. Walking distance to town. Two parking spaces. Conservatory and modern kitchen. Two floors. Master bedroom and further guest bedroom with hideway bed upstairs. Pleasant environment on a very quiet road. Watch the narrowboats go by.
Please note: We charge a one time cleaning fee of £40
Queit neighbourhood. Very little local traffic. Walks along the canal. Sit outside in the afternoon sun.
  • Sparkly clean, very easy parking right next to accommodation. Comfortable and all we needed for a base during our trip. The canal walks were really lovely, and we found other dog owners were really sensible and had their dogs under control when approaching, which is refreshing. We walked to The Red Lion for dinner one evening, which only took about 15 minutes. Marks communication was excellent, and much appreciated.

  • Perfect place for our young family to stay while visiting family in area. House spotless and in great location for walks along the canal etc. Plenty of essentials and tips for area which allowed us to "move in" for our short stay perfectly.

  • We loved it here. Right by the canal, peaceful, tranquil, lovely area. Fed swans just beyond the front gate and enjoyed a beautiful walk in the sunshine. Inside was clean and comfy. Bed was great. Lovely sleep here. All the mod cons. Everything worked and was to a high standard. Fab place. We will be back. Thank you 😃

  • What a little gem! Right on the canal with some lovely walks. Loved the sight and sound of the little boats chugging along outside. Everything was super clean and comfortable. We bought shopping for a few days and cooked; everything was there to do this and helpful information on how to use all of the facilities. Nice comfy beds too. We loved our stay and I have no hesitation in recommending this little gem to others.

    Judith2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • The location is amazing. There's swans and ducks you can feed in the morning. Sit outside and watch the narrow boats pass by. Take a walk down the canal, either way to experience some great countryside views and local Pubs. Great location for short distance to south Shropshire hills, Wales or Staffs peaks. Great conservatory too. A little gem.

Lovely little two bed townhouse with tucked away parking & garden. With its simple décor this cosy little hideaway will make your stay a happy one! You will have the whole place to yourself, which is just a short walk from the small market town Market Drayton. The town is surrounded by beautiful Shropshire countryside and canal, perfect for walks and bike rides. The centre is filled with black and white buildings, small local shops and many lovely places to eat and drink.
We hope that everything you require is provided from tea, coffee, and a few other basics, to freeview TV, radio, and Wi-Fi. Bed linen and towels are all included. Please be aware that although I won't be at the house during your stay, this is my home so there may be items in the wardobes and cupboards. However, these will be tidied away so as not to get in your way and you are welcome to use any of the storage space aswell. There is a small parking space to the side of the property and plenty of roadside parking on the street.
The property is semi-detached and we would ask that you consider the neighbours at all times. They are always very considerate and it is a quiet road. You are more than welcome to listen to music etc providing it is not played any later than 10pm.
  • A lovely cosy place which was great for a quiet night away. Camilla was very quick to respond and even left a few goodies for us on arrival. Can’t recommend this place enough, we’d definitely stay again!

REFRESHED IN 2018/19 NEW FLOORING, KITCHEN AND UPDATED LIVING ROOM , NEW SINK AND SHOWER UNIT. Convenient for Hawkstone MX and Hawkstone Hall weddings. Down a quiet Shropshire lane is this 2 berth static caravan (plus 2 kids up to 12 years/140cm), own enclosed garden next to a 17c family home. Comfortable, clean and well appointed with all the essentials. Great rural location. Dogs welcome. The van is 25 years old but has been refreshed, not 5* luxury but it has all you need for a get away.
The static caravan is situated in a beautiful part of rural Shropshire; it is set in its own grassed and wooded paddock next to a 17th century cottage. Great views from the surrounding lanes and quiet location. Good standard of accommodation, is not 21st century chic but rather 1980's retro, clean and comfortable, kitchen fully fitted with sink, fridge, gas cooker, crockery and cutlery, kettle, microwave, toaster, etc. Divan bed for 2 with potential for children (up to 2 (up to age 12 or 150 cm)) in the living room. For kids the sofas either side of the dining area can be made up we provide pillows, blankets and sheets. There is a travel cot for babies although this only fits in the lounge. 1 - 2 well behaved dogs welcome (£10 extra cleaning cost/stay). Breakfast not provided as we both work full time and with 3 kids the mornings are not a great time. Welcome basket on arrival, examples of things included, home-made jam and/or chutney, cake, bread (varies dependant on season). We bought the static to provide extra space for family guests so it is well looked after and appointed. We are a working family, the van will always be clean and have all the home comforts but if you are looking for 5* modern interior and accommodation this may be a little retro for you. We are unlikely to be able to meet you on arrival but the keys will be left for you and feel free to contact us at the house if there are any issues. Be aware the location is very rural.
Marchamley is an ancient Shropshire village surrounded by beautiful countryside and views. Although no shop or pub in the village, Hodnet is only 1.5 miles away and has a great pub (v good food) and village store/post office.
  • 3rd stay in this great location. Suzy and her family are great hosts and always make us welcome. We will return.

  • Fantastic location being 5 mins away from our training school. Suzy and her partner are wonderful hosts, we had a issue with a pipe and they fixed it straight away, was very impressed. Accommodating to our late arrival times also. Caravan is home home from, everything you need and more. Stayed twice now and will most definitely stay again!

  • Perfect location for hawkstone!! We loved our stay there, with everything we needed !!! Would stay again.

    Thomas2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second stay in Suzy's rural retreat. The caravan is cosy and has everything for comfortable stay and is spotlessly clean with many lovely little quirks. Suzy and her family are welcoming and friendly always on hand if help is needed but never intrusive. We find the location perfect for some time out and will return.

  • Great value for money , quiet getaway with everything you need for a self catering week away .

  • Very nice hosts

  • We really enjoyed our break. Beautiful location, lovely hosts, clean and comfortable accommodation with everything we needed. It was my husband's birthday and Suzy had put bunting up and left some party poppers - very thoughtful. There were also treats for our dogs. Unfortunately due to the dreadful weather we weren't able to get out much - although we did visit Market Drayton. We will definitely return. Our dogs loved it too. Thanks for a lovely, relaxing weekend.

  • We had a great stay at The Stables and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a place in the area. It was spacious, stylish, very clean, well furbished. Sarah even had a high chair and cot for our baby set up for us upon arrival. She was very responsive to all my questions and also very helpful in providing suggestions for nearby places to eat.
