  • I loved staying with Taryn! The space is clean tidy cute and friendly! Great location as well. The room was everything I needed plus I love having a half bath all to myself. Taryn is very friendly and helpful yet also respectful of my space. I definitely recommend staying here.

  • Taryn has a lovely home. A short 10 minute walk brings you into downtown Keene. Taryn's home is clean and welcoming. Taryn is a wonderful host.

    Margaret2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Super host. Very nice, even going out of her way to let me know about what was happening in town and beyond, such as a historical wall mural project. She welcomed me in a caring way to use her kitchen and dining room. Her dog Jazzy is lovely. Taryn always had the lights on when I came home late. I can't say enough about her great hosting skills. We also had great conversations, and I just felt like I was at my home away from home.

    Joey2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely small room with private half bath (shower across the hall). Taryn is friendly but gives you the space you need.

  • Great place to stay while visiting Keene. The host, Taryn, is super friendly and outgoing. The wonderful pet dog, Jazz, will be there to greet you. . Easy access to the town and Keene State Campus. The bedroom, although small, was neat and clean and comfortable making me feel right at home.

✓ Two Beds: One Queen and One Futon. ✓ Bedroom has Adjoining Sitting Room. ✓ Wifi and Smart TV with Local Channels. ✓ Complimentary Water, Tea and Coffee. ✓ Bathroom Includes Shampoo and Soap ✓ Two Block walk to Downtown Keene You will be staying in one of the oldest homes in Keene. The Aaron Seaman House was built in 1804 and maintains much of it's antique Colonial Charm. We welcome travelers from all walks of life and consider hosting a privilege.
Your rooms include a bedroom with a queen bed with 100% cotton linens and an adjoining sitting room with a futon that can be used as a double bed. There is a door in between the rooms so if one person wants to sleep, while the other stays up to read or watch some TV, this gives added privacy. Your rooms also include a ✓ mini-fridge and ✓ coffee / tea set up ✓ and bottled water. Your bathroom has shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided in the 42" x 36" stand-up shower. Please note the decorative shower door has an opening of 18" wide. We only use 100% cotton towels / wash clothes. The Aaron Seaman House is over 200 years old and retains many of its antique charms such as wide wooden board floors, stained glass over the entryway, and classic crown molding around the downstairs doorways. Being over 200 years old, it also has the typical quirks of a house this age. The walls are original plaster / horse hair and the floors have settled throughout the years. Back in the day, homes were made for much shorter people, so for our taller guests, keep that in mind as you enter the rooms! In addition to your private rooms and bathroom, there is also a sitting area at the top of the hall, beside your bedroom. It’s another area that you are welcome to use.
Keene is a quaint New England town with an "up and coming" foodie and art scene. You will be two blocks from downtown Keene / Head of the Square with easy walk to Keene's many local shops, cafes, restaurants as well as Keene State College. Enjoy the free walking tour of the Wall Dog Historical Murals scattered around the downtown. There are also walking bicycle trails nearby too. We are an easy drive to many lakes, hiking and ski areas, including the famous Mt. Monadnock. Spofford Lake, Surry Dam, Island Pond and Warren Lake are some local favorite swimming and kayaking spots. 15 minutes North is beautiful Walpole, NH with Burdick's Chocolate Shop and European Restaurant, as well as the stunning Walpole Mountain View Winery. A 20 – 25 minute drive West will take you to Brattleboro VT, a funky, fun classic VT spot. The Marina Restaurant and Whetstone Brewery's rooftop Beer Garden both overlook the Connecticut River. We love visiting the Grafton Cheese shop and Saxton River Distillery in Brattleboro. Many ski areas are in easy driving distance: Granite Gorge, Crotched Mountain, Mt. Sunapee, Mt. Snow, Pat’s Peak and more!
  • This place is a true Gem. My wife and I were fortunate as a cancellation opened up the rental during exactly the time we needed. Bonnie is a very thoughtful host, and the rooms are very comfortable and welcoming. A very special experience for us! Would highly recommend.

  • Great people! Nice and clean place! Great experience!

    Veronica2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Bonnie and Abe are sweethearts! Their space is sparkling clean and has thoughtful touches everywhere! She went the extra mile; buying some chocolate covered strawberries for my wife's birthday which coincided with our stay! They were available but always gave us space and privacy. Matter of fact it was as though the space was in another house altogether. The space is thoughtfully furnished! Bed is incredibly comfortable. Area has a small but tasteful living room with pull out couch and tv and such. Bathroom is spotless and furnished with everything a guest would need. The house is easy to find and a walking/short driving distance from restaurants and entertainment. If ever in Keene again, I know where I'll stay. My wife and I both loved it!

    Tim2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely wonderful clean space. Hosts go the extra mile to ensure needs are met and are very communicative. Check in was easy and the house is in a great location, could not have asked for more.

  • Bonnie warmly welcomed us. The place was perfect. Quiet and clean. Just a few blocks from the Main Street.

    Thea2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • This AirBNB was amazing! The decor was lovely with authentic charm and complimenting colors. It was very clean and well maintained. There communication before and during our stay was exceptional. The extra amenities such as bottled water, Keurig coffee/tea, mini fridge and bathroom toiletries were thoughtfully provided. They even provided bathrobes, cloth slippers and eye masks, for lounging or relaxing. The electric mini fireplace provided a cozy New England feel to the room. We especially enjoyed the separate/adjoining sitting area. We look forward to staying again!

  • I had the most amazing stay at my first ever Airbnb with Bonnie & Abe. They were so nice and hospitable. This was way more than I expected. Thank you, - Phil

Cozy, light filled guest bedroom with a memory foam bed. Our guests agree: this bed is super comfy! Spacious shared bathroom. This modest, clean and warm home is on a large lot in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to parks and trails. We're less than 5 minutes from major shopping plazas and Antioch University; about 7 minutes to downtown and Keene State College.
Our guest room is quiet and clean, with hardwood floors and views of green spaces from both windows. Nice sunset views and ample closet space for storage. Blackout drapes provide a restful environment. Please note that if you are especially tall, this may not be the bed for you! It is a double (full) size bed with headboard and footboard.
We're in a suburban neighborhood; vehicle traffic on our street is pretty minimal. Our lot sits between a wooded park and school athletic fields; on weekdays, expect to see morning and afternoon school foot traffic, and sports practices in the afternoons during fall and spring. Weekends and evenings are typically very quiet.
  • Jim and Raven are great hosts. I am a frequent guest. The space is always clean, welcoming, and quiet which is what I’ve needed after working a long day.

  • Great place, amazing lake view. Quiet and serene cottage. Amazing sunrise view and cozy.

    Cinzia2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • This charming, comfortable cottage provides a wonderful "escape to the lake" experience. The location is wonderful--across from the lake, not far from ski slopes, and near hiking trails and beautiful gorges. Very comfortable for 4 adults, wifi, tv and Alexa! Nice kitchen (minus a dishwasher) and ample seating. We celebrated Thanksgiving here! Loved building a fire outdoors (bring firewood) and strolling around the scenic lake. Host Joan was fabulous! You can feel your cares float away as you pull into the driveway... A true hidden gem.

    Helen2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very nice stay at Joan's Grammy Camp. It was just as the pictures showed and the text described the cottage. It is at a very scenic spot and provides wonderful views of the lake from the living room and porch areas of the cottage. Check in was very easy - the directions were plain and the code and lock worked well. The fridge and stove came in handy for breakfast - we were out the rest of the day visiting relatives, so we weren't around the cottage all that much except mornings and overnight. The heater was great and the rooms warmed up pretty quickly considering how cold it got over the weekend. The place was nice and clean and we tried to leave it the way we found it. We had a great stay, would stay again and highly recommend the Grammy Camp to anyone visiting Keene area!

    David2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Grammy Camp was a great stay for our young family. Joan made things very easy for us and it was a perfect getaway. The location was nice, walks around the lake were enjoyable, and the house was well-heated which made a difference for us (our stay was late October / early November).

    David2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay to recharge

    Brian2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • The description and every glowing review of Granny camp is accurate! The only thing I would add is the friendly community feel you get while out walking your dog. We had a wonderful time and hope to visit again, hopefully we’ll be more successful in getting kayaks out. Thank you, Joan!

    Laura2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • “Grammy Camp” is adorable and perfect for a lakeside getaway. The home is cozy and the front windows face a beautiful lake view. Kayaks, paddle boards, and a canoe are a part of the included amenities and there is a small private dock where you can launch them. The home is also pet friendly so our fur babies were able to join in the fun. Joan was very responsive and helpful. We arrived early and she was there to give us a tour before handing the keys over for the weekend. Overall, we had a great, relaxing weekend and would definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for the same.

Mended Oar Outpost offers peace and solitude in a beautiful and secluded setting, part of the 250-acre Lakefalls Lodge estate. The view from the enclosed wraparound porch of Chandler Meadow and the adjoining 10,000 acres of conserved land is truly breathtaking. You can go swimming, hike for miles in the woods, or spend the day canoeing or kayaking from your private dock as you watch Chandler Meadow's otters, beavers and blue herons . You might even see a moose grazing at the water's edge.
The cabin, built in the 1950's, has been totally modernized while keeping the 50's aesthetic. With a wraparound deck, screened-in porch, beautiful lawns, wool blankets and fine linens, you'll feel like you're in a five-star resort rather than deep in the woods. The fully equipped kitchen will suit serious cooks, and the deck has a propane grill. Radiant heat will keep you cozily warm year-round, but you can also enjoy the wood-burning stove.
If you're a nature lover, the setting of Mended Oar Outpost is hard to beat. Overlooking a two-mile-long marsh and 11,000 acres of conserved land, you'll have the opportunity to see moose, beavers, otters, black bears, wild turkey and many other critters. There are miles of hiking trails and you can enjoy a very private swim by the covered bridge at Chandler Meadow. A canoe and kayak are at your disposal to paddle the length of the marsh.

Modern eclectic one-bedroom apartment, just one block from Central Square in Downtown Keene. Featuring newly remodeled kitchen, fitted with electric range and microwave. Other tenants occupy part of the building, but guests have a private entrance and off-street parking behind the building. Comfortable for two guests but can sleep up to four. Pet friendly!

For breakfast try Timoleon’s or Lindy’s Diner. If looking for brunch on Saturday's and Sunday's head to Machina Kitchen and Art Bar. For a locally sourced and environmentally conscious meal, check out The Works Café or Country life. Best coffee in the county is at Prime Roast on Main Street. There is also an array of Asian and Mexican restaurants and fun bars like the 21 Bar and Grille, Lab n’ Lager, and Machina. Finally, if you enjoy fine local spirits, come visit us in Winchester at the New England Sweetwater Distillery.

  • Located right in the middle of town, just off the square, this little apt could not be more convenient. Let’s see: clean, neat, crisp, easily accessible, parking, great directions. Perhaps the stairs are a tiny bit steep. But honestly, I would stay again any time. Patti is right there to answer should you need anything. And pet friendly. That’s a huge plus ❤️

  • I stayed with Michael for a month. The bedroom has a very comfortable bed, a tv, and a small couch. There is a full kitchen with everything you need for meal preparation. Michael was very respectful of my privacy, and responded to my messages very quickly. It doesn’t take more than 10 minutes to walk to Central Square and down Main Street where there are great restaurants, cute cafes, and specialty stores. I enjoyed my stay with him and would definitely stay with him again.

    Liane2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Everything here is exactly as advertised. Space was VERY clean and well appointed. Absolutely perfect size for a quick stay of up to 2 people. I would not stay here with any sort of larger group. Check in was easy and the place had everything I needed for a two night stay. Just a few blocks away from restaurants, shopping etc.

    Paul2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Michael's apartment is great for a weekend or short stay: walking distance to town, modest-sized kitchen and super clean. We had a problem with the heat and Michael responded to our text in less than 5 minutes and immediately resolved the issue. Only caveat is that there are steep stairs leading up to the apartment, so if mobility is an issue for your or someone in your party, this would not be a good choice. But otherwise, this is a superb value.

    Joanne2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Michael's place is cozy, cute, and was a great choice for my one night stay in Keene. The radiator does get very loud sometimes, but with my white noise machine I brought, my boyfriend and I were able to sleep just fine. The apartment had everything we needed to have a very comfortable stay. Overall, I would definitely recommended this place!

  • Michele was friendly and accommodating of my late arrival. I had forgotten to bring my own towel, so she helpfully let me use one of hers. The construction of the house was indeed paused while I was there, but guests should know that the full bathroom on the floor with the bedroom had no door.

    Rachel2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • During my stay in Michele's sweet home I felt warm, comfortable and welcome. It was a pleasure to meet Michele and her daughter and their lovely brood of dogs and cats! Such beautiful energy in this house hold. Thanks again for welcoming me!

    Jessica2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Michele was a lovely host. Very kind and friendly, the house was absolutely darling. It was nice to leave and come back to a greeting by one of the cats, and the pups were very sweet and laid back too. The futon was comfortable! I mostly spent my time here sleeping, but I felt very relaxed and welcomed during my stay. Would highly recommend to a young traveling female. Michele’s abode is just steps from downtown Keene, and she was so very helpful in making suggestions for things to do locally. Thank you again Michele!

The second-floor room is just right for one person, with ample lighting, shelves, and a place to hang some things. I recommend bringing your favorite pillow to go with the futon experience : ) Lovely bathroom and sitting area just outside your room. Front porch catches the early morning sun and overlooks the gardens - a perfect way to start your day. Host is very pleasant and helpful. Location is ideal for walking to downtown or the college campus. A great value.

  • Michele’s place is adorable and very well located. It’s walking distance to Main Street in Keene where you’ll find pretty much everything you need! Parking and check in were easy, and Michele was very responsive! I’d definitely stay with her again for a weekend in Keene!

Private rustic cabin offers peaceful getaway to pristine Granite Lake. Enjoy sunrise over the lake from the front deck and sunset from the back patio. In between, spend the day on the lake swimming in the private sandy cove, fishing or relaxing. The lake road is three miles around for a pleasant walk or bike trip. The area offers hiking trails and Mt. Monadnock only 45 minutes away. Small villages stores offer amenities while Keene with its many shops and restaurants is only 15 minutes away.
Wifi is available and a TV can be provided for DVD movie watching or streaming but unplugging is the main goal! The cabin has some games and books for your use.
Granite Lake is a friendly relaxed place with a great vibe. Kayak to the island for a picnic or head to area towns for great restaurants, shopping or farmer's markets.
  • This cabin is excellent! Very clean and well appointed - def a throwback to grandma's but will wifi, a grill and a microwave! Super clean and with new bathroom. The lake itself is one of the cleanest I've ever swum in and I loved the three mile walk/run around it. I could not have imaged a better or more perfect get away and Jen was the perfect host. We will be back!

    Laura2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was perfect it was exactly as described very clean and right on a crystal clear lake. Only 20 minutes from Keene made it a quiet but convenient location. Jennifer was extremely friendly and a great host

  • Great spot, very vintage and quaint. Beautiful lake and area! Hope to return!

  • This place was adorable! The house was the perfect size for me and my three friends to take a vacation for the weekend. The view at the lake was beautiful and serene. The house, around 15 minutes away from Keene, was the perfect location to be removed from everything, yet close enough to the town that we could easily go out to dinner or go shopping. Jen was also a wonderful host, who provided restaurant recommendations, directions to hiking trails, and was readily available when we needed. Her dog, Dobby, made frequent visits and we enjoyed his company very much. We will definitely be coming back!

    Emma2019-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful location on a perfect lake. The house has everything needed too, plus very gracious and friendly hosts.

  • Great location for our long weekend ski trip to Pat's Peak and Crotched mountain. Every room was sparkling clean and we really appreciated the coffee, tea and other amenities which helped us feel at home. (Also great board games and movie selections!) Everything matched the description and even exceeded our expectations. Would return for a future stay!

  • Wonderful place to stay! Adorable spacious apartment with homey touches and a helpful host.

    Alison2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Karen was the best host my dad and I could have ever asked for! She greeted us when we arrived, gave us a little tour, provided us with some breakfast food and home made cookies and even made a sweet welcome sign for us! The apartment was beautiful and cozy, and stocked well with everything we needed. When my dad cut his leg skiing and needed stitches, Karen helped us out a ton! She provided us with extra ice and baggies so my dad could ice his leg, and helped him get up the stairs. Very quick to respond and an absolute sweetheart! The apartment was roomy, super comfy and at such a great price! I wish I could give Karen 5000 *stars*!!

    Olivia2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • I’m an experienced Airbnber but Karen’s stood out for all the warm and special touches she offered from the homemade chocolate chip cookies to all the breakfast fixings to the sign welcoming us to the board games and movies to the notebook of suggestions. We prepared all our meals and the kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfy and the place was quiet and welcoming in every way. Very close to Crotched Mountain where we skied. Highly recommended!

My husband and I have farmland in Hancock, New Hampshire. We have a private cottage that is located next to the main house. We have 32 Acres of Land for hiking, exploring and cross country skiing for our guests. We offer free canoe rentals in the summer, with free drop off and pick up at local waterways. There are plenty of local shops and restaurants in the Monadnock region.
One master bedroom with a queen size bed. The bunk room (no private door- it's a walk through to the master bedroom) has one fold away twin bed. There is also a very comfortable love-seat that a child could sleep on, as well. One bath, beautiful sunroom, eat in kitchen and living room. There is baseboard heat in all rooms, that is thermostat controlled. There is a washer and dryer in the bathroom. Which is free to use, for our guests. We're best suited for one couple or a small family. Just a reminder- we do not have WiFi
It's a quiet town. Norway Pond is right down the road from our cottage in Hancock. The Hancock Market has all the necessities you may need while you stay here. The town of Hancock has a warm feeling of a small town community. Stop at Fiddleheads Cafe for lunch. They make a wonderful pizza! If you want to take a walk through the town. There is a little goat cheese factory right on Main Street. Best of all, we're only 6.4 miles from the Crotched Mountain ski area in Bennington. The next town over, Peterborough, has plenty of shops and restaurants to visit too. Plus, you're about 45 minutes from concord and about 25 from Keene. The Merrimack outlets are about an hour away.
  • Humble Hospitality & just the right amount of quiet for the extended weekend trip with the counterpart. I will definitely be coming back here since I’m a heavy believer in staying at places that are period correct. Blueberry muffins were the perfect addition to an early morning before checking out the local mtns and trails. 🙏🏻

  • Ashley's cottage is an ideal stay on the way to ski country. It's a quintessentially rustic New Hampshire spot with farmlands all around. Plenty of lounging space after a long ski day.

  • Couldn't have had a better escape from Boston for the weekend. Ashley was a very responsive and generous host, and her cabin was clean, quiet, and spacious. Ashley greeted us upon arrival with the most delicious homemade pumpkin muffins and gave us amazing local suggestions. The town is quaint, charming, and quiet. Ashley's cabin is the perfect place to disconnect, read that book you've been meaning to for the past couple months, and get a great night's rest. We will definitely be returning!

  • Ashley's place was a perfect spot for us when we came for a friend's wedding in the area. She was really easy to communicate with. Her husband even drove their canoe out to a nearby pond for us to use - what a treat! It's a beautiful area and easy to get into town to get breakfast, etc. too.

Quiet lake experience, especially on weekdays, to get away and reset your busy life! 2 kayaks for your use at no extra charge. Lots to do in the surrounding area, but most people don't want to leave this beautiful setting. (Pets are not permitted)
Highland Lake is a hidden wonder in NH. Our family has been coming here for decades and are still making wonderful memories! This cabin is at the end of a dead end road so you will have privacy! There is a small outdoor deck and a swimming area. You will have your privacy, but we are available if you have questions. Family camp since 1940. Your hosts reside in the main house and your cottage is far enough away for privacy but close enough if you need any assistance. You must have your own car. We have had many years here making wonderful memories. Now you have an opportunity to create your own! This is truly a magical place. Once you experience it, you will want to return each year.

  • Cant say enough about this visit to the past - the cottage is just as rustic as promised and we loved it - the fires- the loons - the views. Everyone should experience this little piece of heaven. There is a general store right down the street were you can get all you need if your not too picky. We didn't stop for provisions on the way so we got what we wanted at that local place. If the bar/restaraunt at the marina real close was open it would have been over the top. Chet filled us in on the history of the place he was great . THANKS CHET Tessa and Charlotte - we will try to come back

    Charlotte2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful rustic cabin right on the water. Just be aware that Highland Lake does have a lot of speedboat and personal watercraft traffic. However, this cabin is near Pickeral Cove which is quiet and perfect for kayaks and canoes.

    Christopher2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Are you looking for a charming, rustic cabin RIGHT on the lake? Look no further! This place is wonderful. We spent nearly all weekend on the little lakefront deck. There's a fantastic bathtub and boats, and Chet was a very welcoming host. Do bring a jacket if the nights get chilly--you'll want it for mornings in the uninsulated cabin.

    Nissa2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Unique experience staying in a renovated boat house. Beautiful stop on the lake. Had a lot of fun using the kayaks and hiking.

    Sarah2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as described. A unique experience right on the lake.

    Patrick2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • This place is awesome! Kris and Chet are super nice, the cabin is so cool, right on top of the water and the deck is shaded and a perfect place to hang out and watch the boats go by. Even the little paths to get around the place are cool. Easy to get to. I loved the outdoor shower! The lake is really nice, clean and refreshing. Brought everything I needed for the weekend but there's a shaws 25 mins away if you need anything.

    David2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is our second time returning to Chet's cabin if that's any indication on how much we like the place. It's in a beautiful location with immediate access to the lake and while it did get chilly at night time, there are plenty of linens to keep us warm. If you're looking for a getaway devoid of cell signal, Chet's cabin is a great choice.

I highly recommend if you do not want the hustle and bustle of Keene. We were fortunate to book since we waited last minute during a wedding weekend. Blessed to have found this place and look forward to staying again. Many thanks to the hosts who were so welcoming and wonderful. A happy gal from Virginia, Nona

  • So grateful to Hans and Marcy for their friendliness and hospitality! The apartment is in a great spot for exploring the area.

  • We stayed in this apartment for a month and a half. The location in Harrisville was perfect for us. Having access to the clean and beautiful Silver Lake right down the hill was perfect. Harrisville is one of the most beautiful tiny brick/mill towns on a lake that is still untouched by time. The General Store overlooks a picture perfect setting. I guarantee you will be taking pictures. If you like to run or walk, there's dirt roads around the lakes, or to remote ponds and old historic farm houses. Very little traffic in this area. A fifty mile hiking trail is down the road. Bring your fishing pole too. Farm stands will supply you with fresh local produce and pies. The apartment is sweet. It has everything you need. The kitchen that is shared with the owners is a big homey farm kitchen. Hans and Marcy are very friendly too. Their yard is huge with a tree house, hammocks, chair swings and plenty of cool stuff for children including a huge stage for plays. My grandchildren loved coming here. There's also blueberries, raspberries, huckleberries, blackberries and peaches. We really had a great time and highly recommend this Airbnb.

A ton of room in the yurt There is a nice stream out in the backyard. Also, the beach was a 5-minute drive and was a nice peaceful experience. The outdoor shower was a very cool experience. My dog could roam off-leash all these beautiful hills. What made the stay so great was the host Rochelle. We had pretty serious car trouble and she was so gracious to us - she went above and beyond what any host would ever do to help us. I recommend and will return.

Most weeks other than holidays, we have the neighborhood to ourselves and a few folks on vacation. Harrisville is a small New Hampshire town centered around a uniquely preserved and historic 19th century granite mill complex. Located in the heart of the Monadnock region Harrisville has 10 public lakes and ponds, a rehabilitated brick and granite mill surrounded by a quaint village with a traditional New England general store and a summer farmers market. Our beautiful town, set just off Route 101 and nestled against a picturesque rural backdrop, boasts a vibrant community with active farms, people practicing traditional and digital-age trades, and a wealth of artists and artisans. It is a much-loved vacation destination for families escaping hot urban summers as well as a great place to live year-round, raise a family, or retire in peaceful quietude. • We had a great stay here. The location and cabin are lovely, the hosts are welcoming and we loved the historic mill town. Harrisville General Store serves great food and Harrisville feels like a really special place.

  • We had a beautiful little stay in this beautiful little town. The airbnb was right on a little lake (the road was a little muddy but we were fine with 4 wheel drive) and we were immediately welcomed by Harry, Pegg, and their adorable doggo Sassy. They were extremely hospitable and gave us great recommendations for places to get food and drinks in nearby towns. I will definitely be staying here again if I ever find myself looking for places in the area! Harrisville is a charming little town and it is nearby other small towns that were nice to explore. We went snowboarding at Crotched and it was only about a 25 minute drive. Overall, a great experience! The airbnb was very clean, comfy, and hosted by great people.

  • We lagit wish these two were our grandparents as we’d love to spend more time at their cabin and with them and petting their adorable pup! Very cute and comfy cabin; the town is absolutely charming. Such a great weekend trip

  • Pegg and Harry were amazing hosts, that went out of their way to accommodate my girlfriend and I during our stay here. They checked to make sure we are okay and we had an idea of the surrounding amenities. Their cottage was warm and cozy, with amazing views. We got lucky that it snowed and were able to experience a beautiful winter setting at Harrisville. They had someone come and clean and salt the driveway so that I can drive up with my FWD sedan. We got to hike, explore the town, eat great food, and breathe clean air. We loved our stay. We would love to come back again.

  • Nice location, comfortable surroundings. Very accommodating and clean place. Relaxing atmosphere.

    Nicholas2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Its a wonderful cottage! Everything is clean and seems brand new. The kitchen was fully equipped, comfy bed, lots of towels and a great location. Pegg and Harry are super friendly and were very helpful with area hikes. We would love to come back again.

    Heide2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Harry and Pegg's cottage was lovely, and they were fantastic hosts. The surrounding area was gorgeous right after a snow storm, and the cottage was warm and cozy for our stay there. Harry and Pegg made sure we had everything we needed, were communicative and helpful, and gave some great local recommendations as well (the Eastview trail really is a great walk). Thank you so much for having us! I'm sure we'll come back some time.

Spacious light filled room with own bathroom and entrance, in back of house occupied by mother and son, along with black lab. House is around the corner from the Monadnock Waldorf School, a short walk to Robin Hood Park and 5-10 minute walk into Keene Centre. Keene State College is a short drive or 15-25 minute walk.
Space is a renovated garage with plenty of natural light and bamboo flooring. It is attached to the back of the house. Door to rest of house has sliding locks on each side for privacy. The sofa bed is new and has an added layer of memory foam for comfort.
15-20 minute walk downtown. The Colonial Theatre is home to great movies and first rate live shows. Keene State College also offers an abundance of cultural opportunities. The Monadnock Food Co-op is a ten minute walk, offering local products and plenty of organic choices. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and have a fabulous juice bar.
  • The place was perfect. Just as described. Close to downtown Keene. Went snowboarding at Killington and had a nice place to stay the night!

    Kevin2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely. Everything I was looking for. I hope to stay there again if I'm in the area.

  • The host, Lindsay, is so kind and really helped us about to discover whats around. This place is cute, quite and comfortable.

    Ayse2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lindsay was an incredible host, quick to communicate about logistics and provides a very pleasant and quaint room.

    Daniel2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • The space was exactly as described. I appreciated the privacy/private entrance, comfy bed and all of the extra amenities – a mini-frig, microwave, coffee-maker and, most especially, the fresh fruit, coffee and milk. The only minor issue I had (which has more to do with my being an extremely light sleeper than the accommodations) was the wall next to the bed apparently abuts either an entrance way or a room in the main house and several times I could hear peoples' conversations and doors being opened and closed.

    debbi2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Lindsay's place was absolutely perfect for our family. So clean, warm ( and it was COLD out!) cozy and comfortable. Communication was easy, clear and timely. She greeted us with an easy warm welcome. We felt so at home. After a day of travel and out door exploration we were ready to snuggle in and watch tv. Perfectly relaxing with a nice cup of tea and toast. She even left out chocolates for us. The coffee looked inviting as well, smelling so good! I would highly recommend a stay in Lindsay's home. Hope to return sometime!

    Donna2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • It was the perfect place for our little visit to Keene!

    Emily2019-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • Very quaint and cozy place. Everything was as listed. Easy access and great communication. It’s a short walk to downtown, for some great food and shops. Highly recommended! It was very nice to meet Lindsay and chat for few mins.

This listing is a SMOKE FREE Environment. This room is small but cozy with a single bed, as well as a mini fridge & coffee maker. We provide coffee, some herbal teas and fresh filtered water. The shared bathroom is just down the hall, with double sinks and a shower. Beautiful downtown Keene is just a ten to fifteen minute walk, with plenty of shopping and eateries. Biking/walking trails are close by as well.
The room and bathroom are in close proximity to each other, both on the second floor.
  • Olga and Norbert have an incredible, cozy, and energetically positive home. It's a very special environment and I was honored to spend a night there and get to know them.

  • Olga and Norbert were very warm and welcoming.

    Alex2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Olga and Norbert are dyed in the wool true hosts. Their home is cozy and comfortable and a great location for a stay in charming Keene.

    Donna2019-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Olga and Norbert's place is located close to the center of Keene, and convenient to Antioch, where I was teaching for the weekend. The room is clean and welcoming, with a refrigerator and a coffee machine. I didn't mind the steep stairs at all.

    Duncan2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely hosts!

    Sophie2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Olga and Norbert were wonderful hosts. The cozy room is as sweet as it looks, photos are true. The view out of the window is of hills and trees perfect for leaf watching. I stayed for a week during a training at Antioch University. The location is 10 minute walk to the school and 10 minutes into the beautiful Main Street Keen. Shops, art and yummy dining options. It was such a pleasure spending time with Olga and Norbert, they are lovely hosts and makes you feel like you are staying at your home away from home. How sweet simplicity can be.

    Laura2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Olga and Norbert are warm, gracious hosts.

    Allison2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • This upstairs space is cozy and well suited for the solo traveler. I only once ever missed snagging the shared bathroom; it was usually readily available. During warmer than usual temperatures, it was a bit stuffy, but the supplied fan helped immensely. Closet space would have been nice, and the stairs are pretty steep and narrow, uncomfortably so for anyone with mobility problems or amply-sized. The hosts are very sweet and genuinely helpful. Parking is free and easy in this quiet residential neighborhood. Several restaurants at different price points are about a fifteen-minute walk away.

Writers, artists, musicians, naturalists, social and environmental activists, families, students, travelers, outdoor enthusiasts, and people needing a respite from the buzz of life will enjoy the peace and wonder of our solar homestead and forest. For winter reservations, please read about accessing our home during winter conditions in the "Guest access" section

Oriented for southern exposure, our "off grid" battery-based solar electric homestead had its beginnings in 1981. In addition to being AirBnB hosts, we are proprietors of Green Energy Options Solar Store in Keene, a local resource for energy conservation education, independent power systems and energy efficient appliances and heating. Our home, located 12 miles from the vibrant city of Keene, is a bit of a showcase for our business and philosophy. We have three rooms with queen-sized beds, and one room with a twin sized bed for guests to choose from upon arrival at the house. All of the rooms have special qualities and we continuously get compliments on all of the beds. If by chance the first room listing is filled for a particular calendar day, please look into our other room listings view their availability. On occasion, when needed and possible, we offer our second floor master bedroom with an adjacent living room. This space does not have it’s own bathroom but provides a sense of privacy and accommodates up to four people. Our home has a wheelchair accessible ramp to the main floor bedrooms and bath as well as a separate entrance to our ground level living space, which includes an accessible shower. While our home may not be certified accessible, we welcome inquiries from those who might value our attempt to be inclusive. In addition to our comfy bedrooms, we have a sunroom, an ground-level den with a woodstove, hammock and couch; 2 shared bathrooms (one with a shower the other a bathtub), a living room with piano and couch, as well as south and north facing porches. Two bathrooms offer on-demand heated water for shower or bath. Our open-concept kitchen faces birdfeeders, a fruit orchard and perennial gardens. With some advanced notice and additional fee, we are happy to provide wholesome breakfast and dinner meals made from organic or locally grown ingredients. We also offer the possibility of a wood-fired hot tub during the colder months. Andre, our chocolate lab is just about the sweetest dog we’ve ever met. Being an only child, he received lots of training early on to make him the kind of dog that was more pleasure than work. If he has any flaws, it’s that he’s overly thrilled (for about one minute) to see every new face. We have two cats, Maude and Daenerys who are completely domesticated but exclusively outdoor cats. They help us keep our space mouse free. They eat and sleep in the confines of our back porch where they are safe from their natural predators. Help us keep our promise to cat allergic guests by not intentionally or unintentionally inviting them in. For the well-being of, and out of respect for our resident animals and sometimes poultry, we are unable to host our guest's companion animals.
We live in the beloved Emerson Brook Forest. It’s a refuge from the fast pace world, a place to unwind, and reconnect to the natural world. Our home is adjacent to miles of surrounding woodland trails suitable for hiking, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, mountain biking, swimming and exploring. The immediate neighborhood includes The Sustainability Project’s Emerson Brook Forest Nature Center, which features wheelchair accessible trails and edible forest gardens. We are an easy drive to several public recreational areas including Pitcher Mountain (great blueberry picking from July through August) and beautiful Mount Monadnock (reputed to be the second most climbed mountain in the world, after Mount Fuji in Japan.) Mole Hill Theater which hosts live music and theater is a seven-minute drive away. Nearby Keene is home to Keene State College (and the Redfern Art Center and Thorne Sagendorf Art Gallery) and Antioch University, the Colonial Theater, several recreation parks and nearly 90 restaurants from which to choose. The Keene Music Festival, hosting more than 90 bands of all persuasions, takes place annually on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend.
  • Valerie and Pablo are two lovely people with a lovely home. I greatly appreciated their company and conversation (not to mention, the company of their two dogs). The room I stayed in was tidy and immensely cozy for this nature-loving city dweller. In the morning, they offered a delicious and hearty breakfast, and they even let me play their guitars (the house is not short on musical instruments, for all the musicians out there). The best part of the stay was the warm vibe the home exuded. Valerie and Pablo have a chemistry that's impossible to fake, and the positive vibes (for lack of a more scientific term) were contagious. I would gladly stay there again.

    Dmitriy2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This Airbnb is unique in the best ways. Valerie is so sweet, welcoming, thoughtful, and accommodating. She is truly a super host. The house is adorned with plants, sculptures, and art. Being the first guests there we got to choose our room for our stay, we fell in love with the middle room. It has a large bookcase that was filled with all sorts of literature and a window that looked out into the back yard which gave us a beautiful tree lined view of the sunrise. We greatly enjoyed our morning coffee with the wagging tails of Andre and Willa. We opted to use the hot tub which made for such a relaxing night star gazing in the middle of winter. Such a lovely stay, we will be back!

    Jenn2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The place and the people were beautiful! Very friendly and inviting! If you go in the winter, definitely bring your ice skates!

    Libby2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Valerie and Pablo are excellent hosts and were very welcoming from start to finish. Their two dogs are very friendly, the home was great and bed was comfortable. If I’m in that area again, I’ll be sure to see if they have a room available. I highly recommend staying here.

    Harrison2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • What a gem! Valerie & Pablo are wonderful hosts - warm, welcoming energy and very locally engaged. The location is perfect if you're wanting to hike and be in nature (we hiked Bacon's Ledge, amazing summit!) Bed was very comfortable; we slept well, nice quiet house. We would highly recommend staying here.

    Danielle2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • We decided for a quick getaway from Cambridge looking for be in contact with nature and get away from the city. Valerie and Pablo´s place was perfect for that. The house is very cozy, sparkling clean and Valerie and Pablo are amazing hosts. The room had beautiful details, the bed was very comfortable, so we had a good night's sleep before going skiing the next day. We had a very pleasant talk while they cooked us an exquisite breakfast and coffee prepared with freshly ground beans by Pablo the next morning. Oh! and they have 2 beautiful friendly dogs: Andre and Willa. We couldn´t try the hot tub under the moonlight because we stayed only one night but we will return to have that experience. We totally recommend this place!

  • Sue 's home has a home away from home feeling. She has coffee or tea and great fruit to share and keeps a super clean place.

    Stacey And Randy2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Sue‘s space was everything I could have hoped for. The shared spaces in the house are warm and inviting and the bedroom was charming. The shared bath was easy to work around. I enjoyed getting to know the others I shared the space with and Sue herself is a delightful hostess. Delightful amenities included a cozy shared TV/reading space with a gas stove, coffee cake and fruit for morning breakfasts, an array of coffees and teas. The stairs were a non issue for me but if you have a lot of “stuff” to carry in you might want to find lodging on a ground floor. Keene itself has so much going on. I can’t wait to return and I will certainly plan my trip around availability at Sue’s place.

    Sharon2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Sue was very welcoming and her home made a great base for us. It was all very relaxed and friendly.

    Helen & Phil2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Sue's house is wonderful. It's located an easy drive from downtown Keene in a lovely neighborhood. I enjoyed my drive to and from the house. And the room is cozy and comfy. Sue goes out of her way to make you comfortable. There were always little snacks in the kitchen and other extra amenities. I shared a bathroom, but never ran into the other guests, so it was almost like my own. I highly recommend this place to stay.

This apartment is located roughly .5 miles from Keene's lovely downtown. The apartment offers a brand new kitchen, easy and free parking, and plenty of space for all. The building itself was built in 1810, and the other half of the building is an operating Bed and Breakfast, The Elm City Carriage Barn. We have strong, business grade wifi and a tv hooked up to cable and Netflix. I also provide a top of the line guest booklet with my favorite restaurants and hikes!
Both bathrooms have tiled showers, and the main bathroom has a bathtub with jets!
My neighborhood is part of the historical lower main street in Keene. Right across the street sits the old Wyman Tavern where the Keene Minute Men met for the Battle of Lexington and Concord.

  • Perfect location! Great for parents visiting their Keene students. Walking distance to campus and town/restaurants. Very comfy beds, plenty of space for six with a pull out couch in the living room. Roomy eat in kitchen. Two full baths. And Will who is a gracious host. We will stay again.

  • Great, spacious apartment with everything you will need in a rustic farmhouse setting. Well stocked kitchen. Plenty of room to relax. Walk to town center and college. Will is a super nice host who goes out of his way to make your stay pleasant. Hope to return soon.

    Joseph2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Will's place gave us a great weekend getaway! It's a beautiful, HUGE space with so many excellent amenities. We loved the provided foodstuffs in the kitchen, and all of the updates in the bathrooms. My favorite were the meticulous hardwood floors and super snuggly beds&linens, made up with great touches that felt like a hotel. The subtle smell of eucalyptus made the back rooms seem like a spa. Even without the fireplace working (temporary, and Will was extremely apologetic and hospitable about it), the space was incredible cozy with the provided candles. Will was gone for one night and he always made sure a friendly face (in this case, his parents running the B&B next door) was around to take care of anything, should we need it. The whole space would be amazing for two couples, with each provided a full bathroom. As it was my friend and I had what felt like a super luxurious weekend away, in this immaculately clean and relaxing space that is just a couple of blocks' walk to downtown Keene. Probably the best AirBnB I've ever stayed in! Thanks Will :)

My dog loved it and the open space to run freely off-leash. The dogs (s) there were super friendly and energetic. They played for hours, and the people were quite friendly as well. Made for a great last minute getaway!

    Michael2019-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • The location was perfect for us because it was right on the lake and had shallow water to start and gradually got deeper. Our toddler was able to play safely in the water. Perfect place to be on a hot summer’s day.

    Maho2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • John was extremely responsive, and gave me a warm in-person welcome. He was right next door to answer any questions. The place is perfect for someone traveling alone, or a couple. The outside of the cottage is shared. There is a private grill for guests of this cottage to use, and one firepit which is shared with 3 other cottages/houses. The outside deck faces Granite Lake, so you can view sunsets from your very own dining table/outside deck. Granite Lake has super clear water, and is a joy to swim in. Highly recommended!

Welcome to Stonewood House! When you come to our place you will experience the perfect blend of a rustic homey getaway in the woods with the convenience of modern amenities and location to shopping, town and attractions. Whether you are visiting downtown Keene, Keene State College, Antioch, Mt. Monadnock, Brattleboro, or just coming to hike the trails, our home is the perfect spot for families and couples of any age.
Our home is over 2,100 square feet of spacious living on one level. When you arrive, you walk through our beautiful outdoor sitting patio and enter into the dining room, that can seat up to eight comfortably for dinner. Currently we have one queen and one full size bed and one pack n play available. We also recently added a set of twin size bunk beds, perfect for children. When requesting to book with more than 4 adults, please note that the third bedroom is designed towards teens and under. The third bedroom is also accessed through the master bedroom suite, which is important to consider if your party has more than 2 couples. To the left of the dining room is the master bedroom suite, complete with a queen size bed, on-suite bath (with shower) with laundry facilities, and an additional bedroom for the kids with great bunk beds! The master bedroom also has its very own wood stove in a grand stone fireplace. If you walk to the right from the dining room, you enter into the open concept kitchen, that features a breakfast nook overlooking the front yard. To the left of the kitchen is a recessed living room, perfect for morning coffee or an evening movie with the family. The recessed living room also features a wood-stove. and brick fireplace. When you walk through the kitchen area you pass into the original part of the house, a classic Lincoln style wood cabin. This room has another grand stone fireplace and wood-stove, and is perfect for lounging, romantic talks by the fire, or family game night. The third bedroom in the house is off of this space, and features a full-sized bed, walk-in closet and full ensuite bath. Arguable the best space in the house is off of the cabin, and is a 3-season stone porch. The porch is a wonderful place to relax, enjoy the view of the yard, meditate, practice yoga, or just sit and enjoy the beautiful stone work that surrounds you.
Welcome to Keene! We bought Stonewood Cottage because we fell in love the area of Keene. Downtown Keene has many wonderful shops and restaurants, not to mention the Colonial Theater for movies and shows.
  • Cabin oasis. My family and I absolutely adored this cabin. Spaced out beautifully..gorgeous art and all the warmth a true cabin entails.

  • Lisa has been wonderful to coordinate with! The home is perfect for our large family and we will definitely be enjoying more time there. Close enough to everything in town and get a little paradise away from it all! Lisa is wonderfully communicative as well, making the trip seamless!

Welcome to The Lodge, a beautiful mountain getaway amidst blueberries and birch trees. This home has a "cabin feel" complete with modern amenities. Relax with your loved ones in this place of energy and serenity with a gorgeous view of Mount Monadnock. Kayak, hike, swim, hammock, curl up by the fire, sit in the Adirondacks and take in the many stars...and just be.
Open spaces, gorgeous wood and a timeless feel all add to the wonder of the home. The gorgeous sunsets, breathtaking stars and rejuvenating mountain air aren't so bad either. Our house is your house! Use whatever you like, just do so responsibly. As this is a residence, our belongings will remain in one half of the basement and are not to be accessed. Thanks for your cooperation. A true getaway. We're available if you need us but otherwise enjoy the solitude! A caretaker lives on a cabin on the property but he'll only drop by if requested. Small town with a lovely general store that dates back to the 1800's. The local beach with great swimming, kayaking, canoeing, beach volleyball, swings and a merry-go-round. A car is needed for going into the "big city" (Keene), but otherwise we have bikes available upon request and they do nicely for getting about the area.

  • What a great place and location for a weekend adventure! The lodge was just the perfect amount of rustic miscellany to make one feel right at home, and the location can't be beat!! This one is on our short list of "must return" destinations.

  • Unique cabin! The cabin is bigger than it looks on the pictures, very interesting layout, we were exploring it quite a bit). For New Year's we had New Year Tree) and that was cool as in our tradition we open presents on New Year's! Little lights are everywhere that makes the house even cosier! There are no houses near by besides the host's relative house, and we didn't see anyone there until our check out day. The views from the house are amazing, plenty of land to walk around. We have visited Crotched Mountain Ski Area, about 40min from the house (book the tickets in advance and online that gonna much cheaper), also we did 2 trails(15min drive and 30min drive). We enjoyed our stay A LOT! Definitely will stay again!

  • The Blueberry Lodge was the perfect weekend getaway for my family of 8. The interior has a rustic charm that makes you feel right at home. The wood burning stove was a big hit, as was the spacious kitchen (we did a LOT of cooking!). There was plenty of space for 8 adults to spread out, but the common areas were big enough to fit all of us comfortably. Communicating with the property manager was very easy and I always got a prompt response. Overall a great spot for a quiet, woodsy retreat.

  • Nice private place! Recommend. Have stayed multiple times and will stay again.

    Ashley2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you for a wonderfully peaceful last-minute weekend getaway! Everything was great, loved the wood-burning stove.

  • A beautiful log cabin set on top of the hill with spectacular views! A perfect spot for a family get-away! The home has 4 living rooms and 4 bedrooms, and the spacious ground floor living room has a wood burning stove. A country setting with an amazing view of the stars shining at night! Sharon was wonderful to work with, and responded very quickly when we had questions! Easy check in and out! Thanks for having us! We enjoyed our stay!
