Holiday Rentals in Ruby Falls

Just booked in Ruby Falls

Our open, private, & light-filled studio is 4 miles from downtown life and mere steps from hiking trails. It has everything: laundry, WiFi, kitchen, on-site parking, and a sitting porch. The perfect spot for a getaway full of peace and loveliness. Price includes occupancy taxes.
Traveling for outdoor adventure? Business? Urban exploration? Come home to this quiet studio that rests at the foot of Lookout Mountain on 16 wooded acres. A breezeway separates the studio from the main house. We are walking distance (about 2/10 miles) to the Sunset Rock and Skyuka Springs trails, and very short drives to the famous Rock City and Ruby Falls. We are 4 miles from downtown, 5 miles to the Tennessee River Place, and 7 miles from Covenant College. All around us is more hiking, world-class rock climbing and hang gliding, running trails, kayaking, paddle boarding, independently-owned local restaurants, an art museum and galleries, as well as live music.
We are surrounded by national battlefield forest and frequently see wild turkey, deer and many species of birds. Watching bats in the evenings is one favorite activity with the kids. Lightnin' bugs and birdsongs abound in the summer months.
  • Perfect location!! We had fun trying to find the house from the top of Lookout Mountain at Point Park! Yes, you are that close! I'd recommend this sweet studio to anyone that is heading to Chattanooga, perfect in every way!

  • Amazing location and the studio was perfect too!! literally everything was the way it was described and was clean and easy to use. The bed was the comfiest bed we've stayed in and communication was great too!! Definitely recommend if you plan on a visit to the great smoky mountains or lookout mountain !!

  • We had a wonderful stay at Missy's cottage. It was very clean and comfortable. Missy was there to greet us and give us keys. The neighborhood is quiet, except for the occasional train that you can hear down the hill. The weekend was rainy, so we couldn't take advantage of the location. But, it is located on a beautiful lot, down a quiet street, far from the bustle of the city but within quick driving distance. One other disadvantage was there is no TV in this cottage. But, for us, we used an iPad, logged into our Netflix account via the WiFi network. Overall, it was a great experience and we will certainly stay here again.

  • This is a very lovely space - perfect if you are looking for something off the beaten path. Exactly as described in the listing!

    Liz2015-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Really lovely little studio! Missy is lovely as well. Great place.

    Mimi2015-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Missy & Family our stay was quiet, spacious and welcoming. It was exactly like the photos. After a long day we were able to relax and enjoy the cool Mountain air and scenery. It brought back so many memories of my childhood growing up in the area. I will definitely book with you again when visiting my family.

    Tina2015-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Missy and her family were very welcoming, as was Emily the dog. The studio was true to the description, but seeing it in person made it even better. We had a great time lounging on the comfy sofa and sitting out on our little patio drinking wine. The kitchen was perfect, there are even two real burners (we didn't use). We really enjoyed not having a TV and just being able to get away from technology (there is wifi). The studio is not that far from St. Elmo and downtown Chattanooga, but you feel like you're farther out. I'd stay here again for sure.

    Katie2015-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • The property and studio are beautiful and well-decorated. Missy wasn't there for arrival, but we worked it all out ahead of time. Great location for a visit to Lookout Mountain (and Ruby Falls). Would definitely recommend.

    Dreamy Studio in the Woods
    322 reviews
This is the ideal spot for a family or group to launch a Chattanooga area exploration. Surrounded by National Park land, at the foot of Lookout, just minutes from trails, attractions, and downtown - this charming house is full of comfort and warmth with a new, sturdy deck off the kitchen complete with dining for six and a charcoal grill. Whether its the charm of the woodsy interior, the proximity to sites and city, the secluded woodland setting, or the outdoor living, this is vacation.
This is an old house newly updated on a unique wooded property, full of history, federal park land, and just a stone throw from Chattanooga's best activities. It is one of the few places where you will feel like you are in National Forest but you are almost smack dab in the middle of town. The ceilings are high, which makes the bunk beds cozy and very accommodating. While most of the house boasts of oak hardwood floors, the two bedrooms are carpeted for temperature and comfort on bare feet. The bedrooms are spacious, especially the master bedroom with an attached bath. There is a large laundry room with some detergent on hand and a working washer and dryer should your stay be extended. People who walk into this charming jewel almost universally exclaim how much they love it and how they might even love to live there - it's hard to put into words just how charming a place this is. With many windows - you get a good view of the surrounding jungle on two sides, and one thing you will notice is the odd lack of straight lines and right angles in this odd, old beauty as is the abundance of handmade goods and furniture. Please note, this is not a five star accommodation. We strive to provide a very comfortable home away from home, affordably, for families and groups, who might also enjoy the amenities. To this end, we ask that you be honest and mindful when booking your stay and coming. Beds: Up to nine can sleep in the house on beds, but that would require two persons to sleep on two full beds. But here is the downlow on the beds: In the master there is a queen bed and a full pull-out mattress under the bed for overflow. The bunk room has one full and three twin beds. For families, mom and dad will love the master with their own bath and TV and vast closet space and can easily sleep up to five kids in the bunk room. As of late August 2015, a cozy dining deck has been added off of the kitchen complete with dining for six and a charcoal grill. The pool is open April to mid-October to guests and includes the dining deck with pergola as well as the gorgeous inground firpit with surround seating wall. Insurance is now requiring our guests to sign a swimming waiver and we require payment of seven dollars per night if you use our wood (which we use to heat our house) in the firepit. We also have a generous playground behind the pool area easily accessible from the house or pool. However, if you like screen time, we have an Amazon Fire with Prime access, Netflix all for great streaming as well as an HD antenna for live ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, FOX and more. We are working on the honor system, so if you rent a movie to stream on Amazon Streaming, we will paypal you an invoice for the rental at the end of your stay. Finally, the space is seriously kid friendly. We have a pack and play in the house (so you don't have to pack one), toys for the tots (we have heaps of tots and too many toys), and, while the place is not kid proof, it's also pretty little kid safe. We don't mean to say that the space is only for families with kids, by no means, but, if you move in a constant pack like we do, this is a great little landing pad.
http://www.outsideonline.com/2006426/americas-best-towns-2015 http://matadornetwork.com/trips/americas-20-coolest-towns-outdoor-adventure/ Before going into just how close this cottage is to whatever your Chattanooga led heart desires, let us note that Chattanooga has, again, for the second time in only 5 years won Outdoor Magazine's Best Town for 2015. And there is no other listing so near trails, history, and city than this one. The house is exactly one mile from Ruby Falls, 2 miles from Craven's House and some great trail heads there, 5 miles from Rock City on the GA side of Lookout and literally a walk to Skyuka Springs trailhead which will connect you to Sunset Rock, Point Park, The Chattanooga Nature Center, even horse trails and bike trails such as the Guild bike Trail. The Chattanooga nature center is less than 2 miles from this home located at where Lookout Creek spills into the TN river at Moccasin Bend. We are also just 4.5 miles from the Tennessee Aquarium (which is on the road we live on), and just over 3 miles to the Chattanooga Choo Choo and just over one mile to Ruby Falls and just over three to Rock City. Racoon Mountain with the amazing caverns is less than 4 miles from the house. There are several boat drops close by if you crave a cruise of the gorgeous TN River gorge. Or, if climbing or caving is your bag, we have walls and caves galore just right past your door with the famous Sunset face right by, and the TN wall just miles away by Signal Mountain. Finally, hikes. Hikes, hikes and more hikes to waterfalls, overlooks, historical markers - you name it, it's all right here. We are happy to point you to trail heads, swimming holes, waterfalls, climbing routes, you name it, it literally surrounds this house! Finally, if history is what attracts you, we sit just by where the confederates camped before they retreated to "Point Park" up lookout and our property was in both their and the union's path in the Battle above the clouds. This was also important Cherokee land before the time of muskets and cannon. Our property literally borders Federal Park (Civil War) land on two sides and four sides if you count all our families land right here. A nice album of Chattanooga pictures: http://www.outsideonline.com/2006426/americas-best-towns-2015 https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipMy3eFCIhVtG-b5N9tM_CtD6BB_P-2yd29uiO9sM9A29zLf-je3LBaKlzW58RQAXQ?key=Ti1NREp4NEpxZmtGeUJrNldzb25YOFBvMnljdkpB
  • Everything was fantastic! The house was clean and had everything we needed. Frank and his wife were so friendly and helpful throughout the whole process!

    Caroline2015-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Our first AirBNB and it was an incredible experience. Convenient location to downtown and Lookout Mountain attractions. Everything was as stated in the description. The house has an old feel but is renovated nicely. Beautiful pool, massive deck, basketball court, and a trampoline for the kids. We couldn't have asked for anything better. One of those honey hole spots you want to tell everyone about but hope no one wants when you need it again. You cannot go wrong with this wonderful place.

    Bryan2017-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying here! A group of us came in town to climb at Stone Fort — we had multiple arrival times, and Frank and Nicole were both available and communicable throughout the stay. The information about the house is extremely clear and helpful, the space feels welcoming, and the beds are comfortable! Definitely recommend.

    Kim2017-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Frank and Nicole were hosts extraordinaire. They were helpful and provided lots of great tips about things to do. The house was perfect. Great location at the foot of Lookout Mountain 5 from downtown. I would say that our first airbnb was a smashing success. Precious family--inviting but not obtrusive at all...big mistake not to visit...we will be back. feel like we made friends....enjoy. Robert and Faith Whitlock

    Darleen2015-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • We received detailed information on how to get to the rental and even a phone call to make sure we would find it ok. The place was clean and well maintained and we got right in. The beds were comfortable and we had enough space for the whole family comfortably. Frank even recommended some nearby hikes we could go on. My kids loved playing with the dog and cats and on the playground.

    Timothy2016-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Frank and his wife Nicole were excellent host, very warm and friendly my friends and I felt right at home. The house was just as pictured, clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our evenings around the fire pit. Location was close to downtown Chattanooga. We go to Chattanooga annually for Wine over Water event and will definitely plan to stay at this Airbnb again. Great weekend with friends, fun and cozy little house.

    Tracy2016-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Close to everything! Beautiful property on an amazing piece of land. Great hosts! Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks Frank! We may be neighbors soon, lol.

This bright modern cottage is nestled among trees on gorgeous Lookout Mountain with winter views of the downtown city lights from the deck. It's right by trails, historic sights and tourist attractions. It's about ten minutes from downtown Chattanooga which provides the best of both worlds. Enjoy this quiet wooded retreat where nature streams inside through picture windows and a variety of plush indoor plants.
This mid century modern charmer is in a dreamy setting and would be especially nice for a couples getaway. It would provide the perfect place to rest after outdoor adventures on the breathtaking mountain or to enjoy the thriving Chattanooga downtown scene. From the front door you walk into a light, open living space with a sofa bed, TV and attached kitchen and eating area. There is an electric fireplace in the living room that provides extra coziness. The lovely bedroom has a lush queen bed, wardrobe and attached bathroom. There is a deck off of the kitchen and fire pit area. You will find a Blue Ivy house manual on the coffee table with helpful information and plenty of local tips of things to see and do during your stay on Lookout Mountain.
This home is located in a quiet neighborhood mountain road with spacious properties and lots of privacy provided by the wooded surroundings and lovely mossy boulders. The property backs up to acres of forest with lots of nearby hiking possibilities.
  • Linda’s Blu Ivy is wonderful. Great place to relax and unwind. Hiking right outside your front door and great restaurants nearby. Clean, super cute and comfortable. We would have loved to stay longer!

    Sarah2017-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Blue Ivy was spectacular. The location on Lookout Mountain allowed us to walk to some great hiking (directly from the house) , as well as relax and enjoy the electric fireplace (my wife loved it). We were also only 10 min from downtown Chattanooga, so we enjoyed walking around and exploring some great eating spots. Linda did a great job putting together some sample itineraries that gave us a blueprint to use. The house itself was very clean, and comfortable, and very cozy. Perfect for our weekend away. Highly recommended place to stay . We look forward to returning next fall. - Jaime

    Jaime2017-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Linda is a great host, with a great place to offer! This one bedroom home is nestled in the woods, but a quick and beautiful 15 minute drive to some truly great Chattanooga coffee spots and restaurants. If you’re looking for a cozy home away from home that offers both seclusion and city life, this place is for you!

    Alex2017-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I loved our stay at Linda's place! Our only regret is not staying longer. Highly, highly recommend. Loved the location; great mixture of a quiet, quaint mountain getaway that's just a short, easy drive (about 15 mins) from downtown Chattanooga. The place is really clean and well stocked with thoughtful provisions.

    Ana 2017-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed the location of Blue Ivy. We could walk up to Sunset Rock Trail, were minutes from local eats and coffee, and on a quiet lane along Lookout Mountain. Linda also has a notebook with details on a variety of things to do in and around Chattanooga. Staying at Blue Ivy is far and away the best choice for accommodations in this area, and we would certainly stay here again.

    Dan2017-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • The Blue Ivy cottage is one of the nicest Airbnb places I've stayed in, so cozy and wonderfully decorated. I was lucky enough to stay there in autumn (just lovely!) so I didn't use the a/c, and only used the space heater in the bathroom one night. The home is located partway up Lookout Mountain, close to the Covenant and Chattanooga. I loved the extra little touches--lights on the deck, s'mores basket and fire pit, beautiful lighting, and great local trip ideas. You won't be disappointed in your stay at Blue Ivy.

Our location in St. Elmo is the perfect home base for your visit to Chattanooga. The neighborhood is quaint with many old, historic houses. We live on the edge of the town center so it's a quick walk to a great coffee shop, a fun tap house and some of our favorite restaurants in all of Chattanooga. The historic Incline Railway is right around the corner to take you up Lookout Mountain where you'll find attractions like Rock City or Ruby Falls. If you like adventure then try your hand at rock climbing or hang gliding on the mountain. There are two Civil War battlefields within minutes of here.
  • Greg’s conveniently located apartment was perfect for the long weekend my husband and I stayed in Chattanooga. It’s within walking distance of many nice shops and restaurants in Saint Elmo, but it’s not in an area so bustling as to be stressful. The apartment itself is brand new, immaculately clean, and very well appointed. Greg was very thoughtful and thorough in making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.

    Amy2017-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Greg’s place was amazing! The apartment is modern and stylish. Greg also had great knowledge of local tourist attractions and resstuarants in the area. Thank you for the coupon! We’d love to come visit again.

    Quentin2017-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • My kids and I had a great time. St Elmo's is a super little up and coming location, right in the middle of all of the tourist attractions, but didn't feel touristy. The garage apartment was perfect for us and for the life of me, I can't figure out why anyone would stay at a hotel. If we head back to Chattanooga in the future, we'll certainly book with Greg.

    Jeremy2017-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • From the moment we checked in Greg was attentive and responsive. The property is located only minutes away from Rock City/Lockout mountain. Close to cute coffee shops and restaurants. Home was super modern and brand new. Greg even went as far to show us the TV set up as he made our mini vacation feel like home. I’ve travel about every 3-5 weeks, and this was by far one of the nicest places that I have stayed in. You are in good hands with Greg. We felt like we made a long life friend.

    Cory2017-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place is GREAT! Greg and his wife are WONDERFUL. They are very hospitable and have a beautiful, new and clean place to stay. They were flexible and very accommodating with our needs which we appreciated. Fantastic location as we were walking distance to great coffee, restaurants, grocery store, bar, attractions, etc. We would highly recommend this location for anyone in the future to rent.

    Kealani2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Loved staying in this beautiful apartment and meeting Greg and his wife. They have a very clean, new, and beautifully decorated space with all of the amenities you would need for a few days away from home or even longer. I stayed here on a business trip, and it was a quiet respite from a busy schedule. Greg showed me around the place upon arrival & was very helpful in helping me operate the television as well. If you are looking for a great space and some great people, look no further than this space. Also, this home is in a safe and fun part of the city right at the base of the mountain, where many spots are walkable--a local brew house, coffee shop, grocery store. You won't have to move your car unless you just really want to!

    Chris2017-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • Greg's place is amazing. My husband and I stay at a lot of Airbnbs and this one was our favorite. Great location and communication. The place is spotless. We got to meet Greg and his wife and they were so nice and welcoming. We'd definitely stay here again if we come back to Chattanooga.

It was very nicely decorated and clean. If we had any issues, Missy was very responsive and fixed them quickly. My friends and I️ would definitely stay again. Set in a casual modern style with a long, open floor plan, this house is set right in the heart of historic St. Elmo. A block's walk away from the Incline Railway and the base of Lookout Mountain, and only a 10 minute drive to downtown Chattanooga. Perfect for anyone looking to explore our gorgeous city. Our brand new home is ideal for a getaway. There are, however, other homes under construction on the same street with occasional loud machinery during the day.
The oldest and most historic district in Chattanooga, St. Elmo has a lot to offer. There are several activities and highlights to explore both on Lookout Mountain and in downtown Chattanooga. Explore Point Park, the Chattanooga Choo Choo, River Walk, the Chattanooga Lookouts (for baseball fans), and so much more. There is also a Food City grocery store within walking distance from the house.
  • Great new construction home at the foothills, very clean and reasonably priced. Came in for the Head of the Hooch which was about a 10-15 drive; beds were comfortable and house had all necessary amenities from easy check in, fast wifi, to stocked kitchen. We all enjoyed our stay!

    Su2017-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • St Elmo is a fantastic location convenient to everything and the property is charming! The area is up and coming, but don't let that put you off. This is a fantastic property and well worth the stay. We loved the little touches and were more than comfortable. Pat is great to work with and super responsive to questions which made getting in and out painless. Next time we are staying in Chattanooga we will be calling Pat!

    Dj2017-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was modern, fresh and new. Loved the location in the quiet neighborhood of St. Elmo. We could walk to restaurant as well as to the incline to go up the mountain. I highly recommend this jewel at the base of the mountain. Would definitely go back.

    Lisa2017-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Pat's place was a great respite after a day running around Chattanooga for family fun. House was beautiful and lacked nothing that we required for an enjoyable stay. A very easy walk to great pizza, burritos, and the grocery store. The location provided easy non-highway access to the sites and sounds of Chattanooga. Literally walk "around the corner" for the Lookout Mountain train as well.

  • Factory next door. Workers come in very early am and very noisy. Very noisy neighbors as well. Matresses in the kids bunk room are old, flimsy, and can feel all the springs. Virtually unsleepable. Matress in one of the main adult room is terrible as well. Our guest had very poor nights sleep. Its a shame because the house is very cute and in a fun little area. Can't really change the noise situation but needs new mattresses.

    Wama2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • This was a really nice place for us. My husband and I in one room, my son and his wife in another and my adult son in his own room. The twin bed is made for a child but he slept fine there. Everything you need in the kitchen. The living area was great and best of all, it was clean. Grocery store is very close too. Lots of steps on the outside but once inside you have a lovey place to enjoy. All of Chattanooga seems to be very mountainous so it is true to layout of the land.

  • The hosts were incredibly responsive and immediately offered to move us or reimburse us after we called about a mouse - although there were traps all over the place so probably not entirely a shock to them. Great responsiveness, great hosts, but I wouldn't rent here again - just not clean enough (hence the mouse and cockroach sightings) by my standards.

    Sonia2016-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Any questions I had were always answered promptly before my stay and during. This was my first visit to Chattanooga. The surrounding neighborhood is interesting being in a historic area. We had four adults and two children and we had plenty of room. The little fire pit in the back yard was nice.

    Gene2016-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Very close to Lookout Mountain.

    Duane2017-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • Nice size. Nice backyard for kids and small pet. Bright. Clean. Super convenient to Incline Railway. Owner quickly responded to issue with neighbor's pit bull-mix dog.

    James2017-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • This was a cute space! Plenty of room for the two adult couples and two teenagers on this trip. We thought there would be breakfast based on the listing, but although the kitchen is fully equipped, we had to run out our first morning to get coffee, sugar, and cream. It wasn't a long errand, because the location is good (and as a former local, I know where everything is). It was great to have a washer and dryer, and to have some starter supplies for that after we got back from the river. I have to say, we didn't spend too much time in the cottage, since we were out and about so much, but it was a nice convenient place to call home during the trip!

    Mary Kathryn2016-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent access to sites and good food , but not the place to stay with small children due to steep steps and a yard that is unusable due being overgrown, insect riddled, and unsafe. Needs better lighting. Having washer and dryer was nice. Bathrooms are clean but need attention; no stopper in tub, shower curtain inadequate to keeping water intub, and SLOW TOILET FLUSH REFILL in both bathrooms.

  • We were in town for a family wedding, and the Sisson's house was a great place to stay. The house was built in 1884 and had many of the original aspects. A large wraparound porch what is a real nice feature and we enjoyed sitting out on that in the mornings and evenings. Keurig coffees and other nice amenities really made for a great stay.

Winterview is a quiet condominium community located on Lookout Mountain,TN. The condo is only ten minutes from downtown, several trails and many local attractions like Ruby Falls. Cool hardwood floors, spacious, and yet homily in a quiet but conveniently located neighborhood, makes my home a unique, positive place to be, rest and hang out.
  • My husband and I stayed here when Kip was out of town. Kip communicated everything we needed before the trip and was very quick responding to questions. The condo was nice and clean. The neighborhood was great. It is super close to Sunset Rock. We had a good experience and would love to come back!

    Katie2016-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • Kip was a wonderful host, very thoughtful. The condo was wonderful. Felt at home Would revisit if in area.

    Earlene2016-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Kip was a very welcoming and nice host. His condo is very well kept! The view of Chattanooga at night is amazing from his condo! If I ever have to stop in Chattanooga again I'll definitely hit this place up again!

    Andrew2015-12-06T00:00:00Z
  • This is my first Airbnb transaction and Kip made it a breeze for me. Not only was he understanding of my check-in time, but he was very helpful/informative of things to do in the area. The condo is spacious, clean, and in a great location! I definitely recommend this cozy place and thanks again for welcoming me in your home, Kip!

    Mica2016-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Kip was a wonderful host, recommending places to see and do. He was very respectful. The condo is conveniently located to downtown and all the mountain activities. It's a stunning locale.

    Chris2016-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great out of the city but very convenient to everything spot. The mountain is beautiful and Ruby Falls (gorgeous cavern adventure) is just minutes up the road. Kip was wonderful and very friendly the few times we ran into him at the house in-between adventures.

    Nicole2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Kip was so kind to work with our odd work hours. The drive to his condo was up a winding scenic road with beautiful views of the city. We passed Ruby Falls and certainly hope to visit on our next visit. The condo pics effectively detail the space - clean, simple, affordable, safe and serene. We were unable to meet Kip in person, but he was quick to respond and communicated well regarding the space. We hope to be back!

    Sharla2015-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • It is the best location! It is tranquil and as your drive there, you have the most amazing and beautiful view of Chattanooga. Kip is extremely friendly and kind. I felt very welcome. He provided me with towels and recommended awesome places for me to visit and for good eats. I hope to return there one day.

  • From the very beginning Robert was extremely responsive. Was accommodating to us arriving late. Upon arrival had a hand written note and a bottle of wine waiting. The house was decorated very interestingly - in a positive way. He's very creative and most of the decor we never would have thought of. The house has a lot of character just like the pictures. The only real cons we can note were mostly out of Robert's control - traffic speeds by very fast even though there's a lot of signs to encourage slower speeds, we felt very limited on places to go grab something to eat close by and though we liked the grandfather clock when we first arrived the chiming every single hour and it felt like even more often sometimes started getting on our nerves as it even woke us up several times. Other than those few things we loved the stay and really can't say enough about this first experience on Airbnb. If every host is like Robert we'll definitely be using this site again for future trips.

    William2016-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Robert's a great guy. House is very clean and beautiful!!! I mean spotless! Me and my friends stayed at his place for two days and had an awsome time. He also gave great suggestions on places to eat and drink! Next time I'm in Chattanooga I'm definitely going back to his place! Thank you Robert!

    David2017-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect place for our trip. Robert greeted us at check-in and gave us suggestions for places around the neighborhood, as well as Chattanooga at large. The house itself is beautiful and very comfortable. The beds were really comfortable, and there was lots of comfortable seating in the living room, dinning room, and outside patio. The location was great as well - close to places on St. Elmo and short drive or Uber to other locations. We enjoyed the place so much that we ended up coming home early all three days to have a nightcap back at the house. Once again, just a beautiful house.

    Shaheen2017-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Robert's house is beautiful and he was a great host! Very friendly, good communication, provided great recommendations about the area. The house is very convenient to great hiking and easy to get to downtown Chattanooga. I would definitely recommend this place.

Robert was very helpful with providing recommendations for places to eat and activities around town. He was easy to communicate with and very responsive if we needed anything. We would not hesitate to stay here again!

  • Robert's place in St. Elmo was excellent. Exactly as described and very clean. St. Elmo is an up and coming part of town right next to Rock City. Robert is a great host. Communication was very easy and he stuck around to give us some suggestions for restaurants and sightseeing during our stay. The house was clean and well organized. It had everything we needed. We can't say enough good things about our experience with him and his house.

Lookout Mnt - private lodge with outdoor spa/hot tub hidden above downtown Chattanooga. The lodge adjoins the 3000 acre National Military Park on Lookout Mnt, Chattanooga, between Ruby Falls and Rock City. This lodge is secluded, but yet convenient to St. Elmo and downtown /Southside. An Uber ride to downtown/Main St. is approx. $7 - 9 . (**Please note that I welcome all that are respectful of my property and rules, regardless of age, race, or sexual orientation.)
I recently renovated this home and live here alone. The home is almost 30 years old. I am offering private room(s) and bath(s) like a B&B but do not cook breakfast. I try to have healthy cereal and eggs in the refrigerator for guests to prepare at their leisure. You are renting a room and not the entire property. The bedroom has a low contemporary platform bed with new memory foam mattress, 400 threat count sheets, hardwood floors, large closet, lockable door, and ceiling fan. The bathrooms appear to be original, with tile flooring, fiberglass tub shower, window, and granite covered vanities. There is NO carpet in the house. I encourage guests to use the common areas and not stay in their private rooms. Other than your private room, I want this to be a very casual chill communal environment for guests.
The lodge is approx. 2.5 miles driving (or 1 mile hike) from the restaurants and grocery store at the base of the mountain in St. Elmo Chattanooga (1885 Grill, Mojo Burrito, Purple Daisy, coffee shop), and about 4.5 miles from restaurants in downtown Chattanooga (Southside/Main St., restaurant bar area).
  • Instructions specified in manual were very helpful, leads you exactly to the house. House is beautiful, and very clean. Rodney is very friendly and easy to communicate with. Great experience!

  • This was our first time using Airbnb and we would definitely do it again based on our experience at Rodneys place. It was true to the description. Rodney was a fabulous host and his home is beautiful. The location was spectacular, tucked away on the top of lookout mountain and close to all of the attractions. We very much enjoyed the private deck and the bed was very comfortable.

    Sherry2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Rodney made sure to show us around the house and get us settled in. The house itself is very beautiful and roomy. We had a great view of Chattanooga, staying in the rear bedroom. Ruby Falls is very accessible. An Uber into town was always less than $10, and very convenient to use. Lovely place to stay.

  • We were in Chattanooga for the Ironman 70.3 World Championship, which meant we were traveling with bikes and additional gear. The house is very spacious, to say the least, and we felt extremely comfortable. Rodney is excellent with communication and even recommended some of his favorite restaurants in Chattanooga and St. Elmo. We can't wait to be back!

    Anthony2017-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Whether coming down for an early breakfast or returning from a long day at work, Rodney made us feel incredibly welcome. His home is spectacular, (even more beautiful in person than the photos) and his kindness unparalleled. We enjoyed some of the trails for hiking in Military Park.

  • The house was just perfect. Clean, with comfortable beds, great communal space, and a wonderful kitchen. We loved the St. Elmo neighborhood and hope to come back again when we have more time to explore. Everything was just as described (even better!) and check-in and check-out were a breeze. We loved the suggestions for places to go/eat and took advantage of several of them. Overall, a wonderful stay!

  • The neighborhood coming in at night seemed a bit off but in the light of day its a very cool old neighborhood with some houses going thru updates. We were greeted with an adorable sign at the front door as well as a bottle of wine. The parking at this home is not optimal and unfortunately beyond their control, the home next door isn't pleasant to look at but inside the house is amazing!! The beds were great as were the bathrooms and I LOVED the kitchen!! This was 1 of 3 properties we stayed at in Tennessee and was by far my favorite! I didn't expected to love Chattanooga like I did but I think the house just helped me fall in love. It was perfect for family and I we felt safe and it was very homey. I wish we could've stayed longer. The use of the washer/dryer was perfect as was the smart tv! Loved our stay here and look forward to returning and spending more time on both the front and back porch!

  • One word: PERFECTION! Peter and Amy Sue's home gets 5 stars in my book, and they get 5 stars for being such awesome hosts. The home is furnished beautifully, the kitchen is gorgeous, the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are clean and the home is spacious. It's located in a quiet neighborhood about 5-10 minutes away from downtown Chattanooga, and walking distance from a gas station, grocery store and a few other shops. We were in town for 5 days for a family wedding, and staying in this home made our trip so enjoyable. After long days of site seeing with family/friends, we were able to come home, relax and get a great nights sleep every night. If I ever visit Chattanooga again, I will be sure to request to stay in Peter and Amy Sue's home.

So glad we got to stay here and totally plan on coming back sometime! Would highly recommend to anyone! Thanks!

  • Jennifer's place was conveniently located close to Lookout Mountain and great food spots! Really enjoyed our stay.

    Karla2017-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • This location was fantastic. It is seriously 10 min from everything, rock city, raccoon mountain, the aquarium downtown, everything. Loved how easy check in and check out was, and the size was perfect for a couple looking to get away for the weekend. Communication with Jennifer was easy and fast. The only downside was when several other guests checked into the attached house, the walls were thin and they were a bit loud one night/morning. Other than that, you cant beat the location and price for a getaway weekend.

    David2017-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • The location is very convenient to downtown, but that was really the only perk. The studio was quite dirty. Though there were a few small washcloths, there wasn't a single towel in the bathroom. The toilet, shower and bathroom floor were rather dirty. Airbnb doesn't allow you to add photos to reviews, otherwise I would. The sheets were visibly dirty with dust/animal hair? There is also no air conditioning other than a small, portable unit that took over an hour to cool the studio below 80 degrees. We did change and get ready for our concert at the studio, but did not stay the night. We drove back to Nashville after the show. The studio does have a lot of potential, but cleanliness was definitely an issue.

    Kelly2017-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • I sent Jennifer several messages after confirmation in an attempt to iron out all details in advance. They went ignored until the day of arrival when I was on the road and didn’t have sufficient enough internet connection to respond properly. Unfortunately a torrential downpour hit me en route to Chattanooga which caused me to seek shelter at a local motel rather than my Airbnb. She showed absolutely no compassion for my poor fortune only responding with a “no, you won’t receive any refund”. I’m not sure how the place is, but I personally would never do business with her again. Pretty disappointing to say the least.

  • I would highly recommend Team Cabins. Every attention to detail was made from the decorating, to the location, to the amenities provided.

  • The Nest is a beautiful house!! The decor is beautiful, they just did a really great job on this place. The host are extremely nice and helpful and get back to you immediately. The view is wonderful and you can watch the sunrise. There was 6 of us and it was great being so close to everything so if someone needed to go back it was not a problem. We all had a great time and we all want to stay at the nest again!

    Adrienne2016-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • It was a great place to stay with my siblings. Plenty of bathrooms and very clean. We were there for a wedding, so we didn't spend too much time in the house or yard, but it was a lovely, quiet setting.

    Angela2017-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great space updated classic. Beautiful decks.

    Keith2017-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect cabin for our visit to the Chattanooga area sites. The cabin was spacious and well appointed with spectacular views from the many decks. This was the perfect place to unwind after a day of sight seeing at Ruby falls, Rock City and Chattanooga. We roasted hot dogs and marshmellows one night over the fire pit in the back yard, actually dragging our teen boys away from their video games for a few hours. The management was responsive and always a phone call away. I can't wait to go back in the fall!

    Holley2017-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • The Nest was a beautiful home in a picturesque location, just minutes from downtown Chattanooga. It has a mix of old-feel wood floors with new sink fixtures and appliances. The house was spacious enough that our family of six was not on top of each other. It was also well set up with three-and-a-half bathrooms. The “nest-theme” decorating was a nice touch. The deck looked great and would have been very useful if it had not been so cold. There is one item it wouldn’t be fair not to mention. The first night of our stay, the temperatures dropped to 17 degrees Fahrenheit (with a windchill of 9 degrees). The house heat pump could not keep up with the cold temperatures. The thermostat wouldn't inch past 65 degrees and I’m sure our bedroom was in the 50s that night. The next morning, we contacted the property management group. They were very responsive in sending an HVAC team to the house to inspect the unit. The HVAC company confirmed the house system couldn’t keep up with the cold temps. While we were away from the house for our son’s wedding, the property management group provided three new oil heaters for each of the bedrooms and wax logs for the fireplace. We slept more comfortably the second night.

This house is on a perfect lot located in the quaint area of downtown called St. Elmo. You are 5 blocks from the Chattanooga Incline and all the wonderful restaurants downtown St. Elmo. Less than 5 miles to the Aquarium and river front! The house is tucked up to Lookout mountain! The backyard gives you the quiet feeling of being in the county right in the heart of downtown Chattanooga.
  • Our daughter attends Covenant College located at the top of Lookout Mountain. We needed a place that was convenient to the college as well as downtown for dining and entertainment. This was a great place for all that. Our host was gracious when our departure changed and we needed a few extra hours to depart. Like everyone has already said the house is great, and has everything you'll need. I also enjoyed grilling out on the deck with a cool view of the foot of the mountain. Awesome! We'll be back!

  • This place is a gem! Walking distance to great restaurants in St. Elmo and easy access to downtown. It was a pleasure staying at Christi's home.

    Krystal 2017-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great host, cute clean and quiet. In town for business and this was a nice retreat. On the edge of town, but backs on to woods, so was nice for easy access up to Lookout Mtn.

    Andrew2017-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is a home I almost hate to leave a review for... I don't want the secret of this gem to get out. I am always skeptical about photos of a home due to a previous stay (not here) where the photos definitely did not show a single wide trailer (true story and funny now that I look back on it). The pictures of this home were on the opposite end of that spectrum since it was larger (inside and out), leaving us room to stretch out and relax. I think this home truly felt like "my home" in one of my new favorite towns. Christi was beyond helpful from the time I booked through the time I checked out. She even recommended some places to eat/drink which were amazing. I think I will most likely return to Chattanooga and this home - and hopefully sooner than later.

    Jared2016-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • This house is exactly as pictured and completely adorable. Clean and convenient to Chattanooga and Lookout Mountain. The host is extremely responsive and easy to deal with. Highly recommend.

    Mindy2017-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay in Chattanooga. Christi is a wonderful host and provided clear directions and was great to work with. Love how the house is tucked back off the road but near to a lot.

    Christina2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Christis place! It was very well decorated and close to everything. She supplied everything we needed and then some. I LOVED it here.

    Kristin2017-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • The house was exactly as you see in the pictures. Although we didn't meet her Christi was extremely responsive through messaging and very helpful with giving us some restaurant recommendations.

  • We stayed here when we were in town to watch our daughter row at Head of the Hootch (Go Heels!). It was a great location and a beautiful, private space. Everything was as advertised. Wish we were around long enough to sit out front and look at the mountain. Reese was quick to respond to questions— quick, as within minutes. Truly a unique spot.

    Lauren2017-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Reece's place and hope to come back for another stay sometime. The room is in a lovely neighborhood and is quiet, but not too far from any activity in Chattanooga. All communication was seamless, and we were even able to check in an hour early. The room is spacious and Reece even included a great little coffee bar with breakfast bars and hot chocolate. Everything was clean and just the way it is described. Would definitely recommend this room to anyone spending the night in or around Chattanooga. Thanks Reece!!

  • This was a very well done private suite. Private entrance but access to the main house if needed. Coffee, water, snacks and bath items were available. Communication was great!

  • Great place for a weekend getaway! Reece’s place is everything as advertised. It’s easy to find, easy to get in and out, and has everything you need. I especially enjoyed that there was a Keurig with many different coffee selections and a mini fridge with plenty of water. I really appreciated those touches. Only a 3 mile drive to downtown and same to the Lookout Mountain activities (Rock City and Ruby Falls). Would definitely recommend!

The house is located within Chattanooga city limits right off interstate 24 less than 6 miles from downtown Chattanooga, in Lookout valley. Tiftonia a quiet and friendly community. The area has the feel of being in the country but only minutes to downtown Chattanooga. The house is not on a busy street but I would advise (not suitable for children to play in street) During fall and winter you may get a glimpse or two, of deer roaming the yard.
  • I just want to thank John for his beatiful cottage. The place was excellent and it was very clean upon arrival. He kept in contact and responded in a very decent time frame. I will highly recommend his place to anyone that is visiting Chattanooga, I’m Defiently staying there again.

Modern meets quaint in this historic bungalow, just four miles from downtown Chattanooga. The home sits atop scenic Hawkins Ridge in the historic, vibrant neighborhood of St. Elmo. We aim to make guests' visits as comfortable and seamless as possible so they can experience the cultures and colors of this awesome place!
  • Me and my boyfriend took our dogs to Chattanooga for the weekend because I was running the 7 bridges Marathon and decided on staying at an Airbnb instead of looking for a hotel or boarding our dogs. I really enjoyed staying at Kurtis’s house. On arrival we had trouble finding where to park since our maps kept taking us to the front of the house, but we eventually figured out we needed to take another street around back. Parking was tight but thankfully I wasn’t driving lol. Upon entering, we found a sweet note addressed to the whole crew (me, my boyfriend, and my 2 dogs) some wine, gatorades, and granola bars. They also left us some beer (for carb loading I’m sure lol) The house was very close to all restaurants, shopping, and bars which we took full advantage of the whole weekend. The marathon was also the day we were to be checked out and Kurtis was very gracious in extending our checkout time since I would not be crossing the finish line until after the specified checkout time. This allowed me enough time to get back, shower, and collect the pups. I’m so very thankful for that extra hour and a half. All in all a great experience and we would stay again :)

    Mira2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place near st. Elmo. The owner was very responsive and kind. The house is in a quiet place but near shops. The inside of the house is very cozy.

    Melissa2017-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Kurtis is a great host! He responds quickly and checked on us via messages while we were there. There was even a bottle of wine waiting on us! Check-in instructions were clear. The house is comfortable and had everything we needed. We were not sure what we were responsible for when we checked out. At other Airbnbs, there were check out lists of what to do. That might be helpful for the future.

    Tammi2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • The house is very cute and homey. There are a few restaurants and coffee shops by but nothing walkable but downtown and other areas are just a short drive away. The scenery around is gorgeous! Kurtis was great with his communication and very willing to fix any problems we had! We enjoyed our stay there very much!!

    Amelia2017-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • My husband, dogs and I enjoyed St Elmo and the bungalow. The neighborhood is quaint and accessible - only half a mile to Lookout Mtn/Rock City entrance, shops and restaurants including the popular 1885. Syrup and Eggs, our new favorite breakfast place, is only a 2-3 block walk from the house and delicious. Downtown is a quick 10 min drive, max. But our favorite aspect was the close proximity to hiking. The home was appointed with modern appliances, furnishings and linens (no scratchy towels here). Kurtis was extremely responsive and friendly. It was a pleasure to be his guest. The only note I would offer is on steps - there are long stairs that might pose a problem to anyone with limited mobility or small children but we did fine and appreciated the opportunity to burn a few extra calories. :)

    Melissa2017-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Location is extremely convenient. Room was very clean, there are actually two beds in the upstairs room that we booked. Check-in was a breeze. Plenty of parking onsite. Was under 10 minutes to get downtown. Great value, definitely. I would book here again, next time we are in Chattanooga.

    Matthew2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! This house may look ordinary on the outside but it was amazing on the inside! Originally built during the civil war, (I know, right!) it has been totally updated to a beautiful and grand home. We were there when there was nobody else staying so we essentially got the whole place to ourselves. So fun. Best part is that just up the hill is a hiking trail. We will definitely stay here next time we are in Chattanooga.

    Barbara2017-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at this house. It has a great location- like 5-10 mins from Lookout Mountain. This is a 4 bedroom house in which the owners do not live in and therefore the house guests in the other rooms can utilize the house however they prefer. So staying here you will need to be open to potentially interacting with whatever other guests that are using the shared areas (in which you have to use to get to your room). Otherwise our room was exactly as advertised and was very quiet. The owners are very responsive to any questions you may have.

    Blake2016-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Ben was an incredibly accommodating host! I made a mistake on my reservation and he worked with me even at late notice, which I was very thankful for. Communication was always quick and clear. I would highly recommend this property for your stay in Chattanooga, especially if you're interested in hiking and exploring Lookout Mountain. It's very near the start of the road that climbs up the mountain. There was plenty of parking space in the rear of the house and an access code to get in the door so checkin is a breeze. The house is lovely, and my friends and I had everything we needed in the bedroom and bathroom. Thanks Ben for a wonderful stay!

    Kathryn2016-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Ben was very responsive and friendly. His instructions on how to enter and "check out" were thorough. Spacious house, clean bedroom and bathroom.

    Stephanie2017-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Ben's place is great! The rooms and house are updated and clean. I was able to set up my pack and play crib in the room for my baby. My family and I were able to prepare our breakfast is the beautiful spacious kitchen before departure. Smooth check in/out. Thank you!

    anne2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • This house proved to be warm and secure, with plumbing that works just fine and a very-well-equipped kitchen. I would stay here again, schedule permitting. Did not get to meet Ben due to this trip's scheduling, but he was quite good about keeping in touch.

  • We loved staying here! It was in a great location, we were able to walk to dinner at the Terminal and to other fun places. We stayed here with two little ones, it felt very safe and we had plenty of space to spread out. Everything was very clean and well thought out. The private parking lot was so convenient. The hosts were very helpful and friendly!

  • The location is right in the middle of the south side which was perfect for us! There are a lot of local restaurants and stores within walking distance or a short uber ride. Check in was super easy. Christie was easy to get in touch with and very accommodating!

  • We were very pleased with the accommodations. It was simple but worked quite well for us. The beds were comfortable. Some decorations on the walls would be a nice touch as well as a comfortable chair in the living room. The location was good with easy access to all that we wanted. We would stay there again.

  • Emily and Matt's place went beyond our expectations during our stay in Chattanooga. The place was very clean and lots of amenities you wouldn't get elsewhere such as snacks, beer, and two large TVs to watch almost anything you'd like. The condo is also a very short walk (.2 miles/5 mins) to the free shuttle service and is located near some good restaurants. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable and we will be back!

  • A co-worker and I stayed in this amazing Loft. It was our first trip to Chattanooga and my first Airbnb. We had no idea where this was in relation to where we needed to be. JoBeth was very quick to respond to answer all our questions prior to booking. It is exactly as it looks in the pictures. Everything you need is provided. Everything was clean and fresh. The neighborhood is very nice. It's busy but quiet. We did not have to drive to get anywhere we needed to go. We can't wait to go back!
