A traditional Shepherd's Hut in the secluded grounds of a thatched cottage, with extensive views of the valley and River Avon, 4 miles from historic Stonehenge (closer if walking) and the medieval city of Salisbury. It comes fully equipped with en suite electric shower, basin and proper flushing toilet. It has a beautiful hand-made kitchenette with microwave/combi oven, ceramic 2 ring hob and roomy fridge with small freezer space to make ice for your drinks! There are breakfast ingredients left for you to cook, which includes free range eggs from our hens, bacon, home-made granola, home-made bread, butter, fresh fruit, orange juice and home-made marmalade and a selection of teas/coffees included in the price. We are situated along a quiet country road, yet only 4 miles from the historic city of Salisbury with its cathedral, wealth of amenities, restaurants and places to visit. We are surrounded by farm land. There are 2 pubs in the valley, one is a 10-15 minute walk down a footpath - sturdy shoes/boots and a torch are essential. The other is a 5 minute drive away. We are situated 4 miles from Stonehenge, about an hour from the famous city of Bath, the South Coast and the historic city of Winchester. We are also 2 miles from Old Sarum Castle (the old Salisbury).
  • Magical hut hideaway ... with a super fun swim spa ... snug and cosy :o)

  • Such a lovely country getaway. Lovely situated for us to venture into the new forest. Great that we had access to a spa and could relax. Was nice that there was no reception so we could switch off. It was clean comfortable and the breakfast ingredients left were lovely. Thanks Fiona we will definitely visit again

  • Great little Shepherd's hut. Loads of character and super cosy!

    Thomas2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice little hut, great views and hot tub fantastic.

    Ben2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Such a great location, private, yet Fiona is on hand should you need anything: a view to gaze at, a super comfortable bed: lots provided for breakfast. Should you wish to be energetic, there is the swim spa (which I now know is a hot tub big enough to do swim strokes in, heated to a very pleasant temperature) It was raining and blowing when I sampled it, and the water was so warm that with shoulders under the weather could do what ever it wanted, I was happy!

  • The Shepherd's Hut is beautifully situated with views overlooking hills and the river Avon. I cannot put into words what first took our breath away, the views, the clean and welcoming hut or the barn owl hunting in the field next to us. Inside was clean and cosy and the smell of the freshly baked loaf of bread was very welcoming. The fridge was stocked with more then expected with eggs, bacon, a choice of milk , juice and jams. The water was hot and the cooking facilities worked well and the bed was very comfortable. There was informative information regarding local amenities and we enjoyed a delicious meal in the local pub The Wheatshef, following the directions left in the hut. The hot tub was a glorious end to a long day exploring Stonehenge, the water was a wonderful tempreture and you can enjoy a heaven full of stars on a clear night. It is tucked in a peacfull and private corner of the garden. It is also only a 15 minute drive from Stonehenge and 20 minutes from Sailsbury. We throughly enjoyed our stay at The SHepherd's Hut and would be very happy to return.

  • We had a lovely time at the Shepherd's hut, the location was beautiful and the hut was so cosy. Having private use of the hot tub which is just behind the hut was great, and Fiona had left us some delicious homemade vegan bread. We would definitely stay here again, and would like to come back in the Summer.

During the current extraordinary circumstances, we are only offering our home to people who need the safety of a place away to protect family and friends. Our cottage is conveniently situated halfway between Salisbury and Southampton hospitals approx 15 minutes drive and Bournemouth is about 25 mins. We are directly on open New Forest common land up a private track. We also have approximately 3 acres of private land. We've prepared a private office with internet in an adjacent annex.
Currently we need to restrict the number of guests. Normally We sleep 6 adults and there are beds for additional children upon request. The house is ideally suited to 3 couples or families with children. The house has 3 beautiful double oak beamed bedrooms, 2 upstairs and 1 downstairs. The master bedroom is an exceptional suite with stunning views across the commons and at any time of the day the light filling the room is wonderful. It also has a private balcony to take in the sunsets. The other upstairs bedroom is a colourful double 'the fair trade room' and it has a lovely ensuite with views over our paddock. The downstairs family room is large and has an additional double sofa bed thus can sleep 4. There is an additional bathroom downstairs at the back door. The rest of the downstairs is open plan with lovely oak beams and a wood burner, there are no curtains, just big windows and colourful walls. The kitchen sits at the heart of this space so you can cook and chat/socialise in one happy group
We are situated in one of the most beautiful settings in the New Forest. Our house has stunning views over Wellow, Plaitford and Canada Commons. We're not as touristy as other parts of the forest so you get to savour the area without all the crowds. We have some superb real pubs nearby too. We recommend the Rockingham Arms which is a lovely 10-15 minute cross country walk to their back gate. If you want to eat there we strongly recommend you book first, it's good so its popular. We are also very handy for visiting Paultons Park and Peppa Pig World, we can show you the route to avoid the morning queue too!!!
  • We stayed at Susen and Robin’s place last week-end with our 2 daughters and partners. It is easily accessible by car and the house is beautifully decorated and renovated with all required amenities. It is very comfortable ( great beds) and the master bedroom is to die for with amazing views onto the New Forest. We enjoyed long walks from the house and particularly the company of the ponies. It was also very warm and cosy in the evening. An ideal place to chill out and enjoy nature . If you go at this time of year ( March ) wellies are a must as the ground was very soggy . We definitely recommend this place and we would like go back to explore further the New Forest . Susen and Robin are also great hosts .

    Brigitte2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • This a wonderful house in a stunning location. Beautifully equipped and ideal for a family time away. We had great communications with Robin and a memorable stay.

    Graham2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Such a beautiful house and location. Robin responded whenever we asked a question and was so accommodating. We just loved it.

    Jo2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • The house is simply beautiful. There is so much natural light even in winter! The open plan living space downstairs is really lovely. But by far the best aspect of this house is the location. The moors of the New Forest are practically on your doorstep, we had some lovely walks with our dog with stunning views. Wild horses were often around which made us feel like we truly were in the New Forest! There is underfloor heating which is lovely but for some members it was too hot and we had to open some windows. We went to some really lovely pubs during our stay, The Three Tuns, The Old House at Home and the Rockingham Arms. The Three Tuns was so wonderful, the staff were so friendly and gave water and a treat to our dog, the food was sublime and the pub itself was beautiful. The Old House at Home was nice enough for a Sunday lunch, all were dog friendly which was a real plus for us. The Rockingham Arms had lovely food and the pub huge, however it was more expensive for equally as nice food and service. I would definitely recommend this house due to its perfect location, lovely living space and amazing hosts with quick communications. We all very much enjoyed our stay and we will all treasure it for a long time!

    Maddy2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous house. The master suite is amazing but no one loses out as all rooms are large and comfy. Lovely to see the New Forest ponies straight from our window.

A self contained hilltop retreat with stunning panoramic rural views. The Pink Tower is a wooden octagonal building attached to the owners cottage on a working farm (pigs, sheep, arable). Set a quarter of a mile along the ancient OxDrove renowned for beautiful walks, it is situated right on the borders of Wiltshire, Dorset and Hampshire.
Light, airy living area and kitchen is located on the top floor with the bedroom and bathroom downstairs. Private entrance gate off the track leads into a small enclosed garden with gravel areas and flower beds. Two wooden steps lead onto decking and the property's own front door.
  • Great quirky place to stay in tranquil location. Hope to go back in the summer to make the most of the balconies for breakfast or drinks in the evening overlooking the garden and surrounding countryside.

  • A unique and special place with amazing design. Linda is a lovely host. Waking up to nothing but birdsong on Sunday morning was wonderful. This is a superb location, close to several historical sites, walks, lovely restaurants and pubs...a gem.

    Kiran2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely few nights at the Pink Tower. Found it difficult to find but it was very dark when we arrived! The place was very clean and Linda was very helpful. The tower is about 20 mins drive from anything but this was fine for us. Overall very cosy..bed was especially cosy and not built for anyone over 6 foot! Hopefully we will be able to return one day.

  • Pink Tower was absolutely delightful for a very relaxing weekend. It has everything we needed as we had decided to have a self catering weekend. However our host Linda also recommended local pubs to eat to help us anyway. Very quiet location so very peaceful. Only 20 mins from Salisbury. Would definitely book again. Thank you Linda.

  • Amazing stay at the coach house. We were just stopping over for one night but I wasn’t ready to leave! Very peaceful, quiet place. Place was spotless and Ruth was kind enough to leave us some bread and butter/jam for breakfast. Ruth was very quick with replies as we had some trouble finding the place. Highly recommend for anyone passing Salisbury or maybe just a weekend getaway.

  • A nice peaceful retreat just outside Salisbury

    Steve2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • We were so impressed with the property. Clean, lovely decor, cosy. The little touches of having milk, butter and jam in the fridge made all the difference. Along with bread, tea, coffee and sugar. The host Ruth, was so welcoming and gave us a great local walking route suggestion which we really enjoyed. We also had dinner at the Green Dragon just up the road, typical pub grub, but perfect for a simple meal before heading back for a chilled night in.

    Laura2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The place is great with very nice views and a very modern apartment to stay in. Also very nice hosts who have good amenities of equipment In the place

    Marcus2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was perfect for an overnight stay near Salisbury. The coachhouse is beautifully decked out. There was bread butter jam and milk left for us which was most helpful as we were there for just one night. The only thing I would say is if you like nice coffee there is a Magimix coffee machine but no pods only instant coffee so bring your own!

    Frances2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Ruth was fantastic at making our stay special! She provided butter, tea, milk, coffee and bread etc which was a nice little touch upon check in after a long drive. The place was the most perfect little cottage with amazing views and so much land around. There were two ponies right next to us which Ruth said we could feed apples and carrots, this was nice as we are animal lovers! Ruth messaged mid trip to make sure we were enjoying our stay and that there was nothing we needed. It was lovely to feel like if we needed anything we could call Ruth but also really nice to just be given the key and left to get on with our stay. We came for some peace, quiet and relaxation and that is exactly what we got! It felt like our own plot of land for a few days and I can only imagine how perfect this place would be in the summer months with the outside courtyard with tables and chairs etc!! Thank you again Ruth!!

    Joe2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent place to chill, private but not to far from the local amenities! Would highly recommend if you needed a place to stay in the Salisbury area!

    David2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • We needed somewhere comfortable to stay and Ruth’s place didn’t disappoint. Everything is as described. The place is super clean. Really nice touches including milk, butter, loaf of bread, jam, tea and coffee. Both beds very comfortable including lovely pillows. Towels provided are nice and fluffy. Super spot, lovely and quiet. I thoroughly recommend.

A self-catered two-bedroom apartment within a historic Victorian stable block. Secluded within the grounds of a family-owned organic estate, but just 5 minutes off the main road to Cornwall and 10 minutes from Stonehenge; immerse yourself in the Hampshire countryside! This is a rustic, private and cosy farmstay with spectacular views, numerous activities, friendly hosts and delicious, locally sourced breakfast items provided!
The Coach house is a self contained 'two-up two-down' within a Grade II listed Victorian stable block. The flat boasts a tranquil setting with views across the surrounding farmland. There is a bathroom and small kitchen downstairs, a double room upstairs (queen sized bed) and a small second bedroom with two 'single' beds. There is NO sitting/living room although there is a TV, armchairs and a sofa in the first bedroom. The armchairs and sofa are comfortable but SMALL as the property is limited on space. The kitchen is basic but well kitted out, with an oven and hob, fridge (where you will find your breakfast, including bacon and eggs to cook yourself), microwave and a small kitchen table with chairs. The bathroom is basic with a bath and recently fitted electric shower. A travel cot and high chair are provided. There is a private garden with table and chairs, barbeque and views at the back door to the apartment. A handbook with information on wifi, heating and local activities etc is provided in the kitchen. This is a very old building with plenty of character - the space may not suit groups that are looking for all the 'mod-cons' or a deluxe/hotel like experience. Nonetheless, it is a cosy, characterful and functional space for lovers of nature and the outdoors or those just wanting to 'escape', and we have several returning guests every year. DETAILED INFORMATION ON HOW TO FIND US BECOMES AVAILABLE ONCE YOU HAVE CONFIRMED YOUR BOOKING. GO INTO THE BOOKING AND LOOK UNDER 'GUEST RESOURCES'.
Rural location just outside the 'quaint' village of Cholderton on the Salisbury Plains. There is an award winning traditional country pub 'The Malet' and a farm shop a short drive or walk away. Stonehenge and the A303 which is the main arterial road to Cornwall are easily accessed, making us a good 'half-way point'. For horse lovers we are local to two polo clubs (Tidworth and Druids) and local to most meets for hunting with the RA. Stockbridge, famous for its trout fishing, is just down the road.
  • A beautiful building along a drive. Way. The property is comfortable and warm with a social kitchen and a beautiful double bed and nice smaller singles. The local village has a wonderful pub with tasty grub and the surrounding lanes and landscapes are beautiful.

  • Staying in Liz’s house was like being at home with friend. The rooms are so comfortable and nicely decorated. Liz has lighten up the fireplace for us in the living area for a cozy evening. Liz helped us to arrange for a dinner in a local pub which is only 5 minutes walk. The breakfast in the morning was so enormous and tasty. I want to thank Liz for her hospitality on behalf of our family of 5!

  • This was one of my favourite places I have ever stayed. I’m very partial to period properties with character - and this did not disappoint. The house is absolutely stunning, the furniture and decoration unique and beautiful, the space comfortable, cozy and quiet. Liz was the perfect hostess - friendly but not overbearing, made an excellent breakfast and even supplied us with wine to take to a dinner with friends in a nearby village. This is a beautiful spot, highly recommend!

    Caitlin2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • I absolutely enjoyed my stay at Liz’s beautiful home. It was so peaceful and clean and quiet. The cosy fire, the delicious breakfast and warm hospitality. I shall be definately visiting again thanks Liz :)

    Marc2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • We drove along the trail for a long time before we arrived. The scenery along the trail was very beautiful. Many manors were very ecological. We saw pheasants. Liz's cabin is very beautiful, the garden is very big and beautiful, the room is very spacious, the guest room is on the second floor. When we arrived at night, the kitchen could not be used alone. Liz recommended that we went to a restaurant four miles away. It was very good and cost-effective. Breakfast was very rich, great, and we ate it satisfactorily. My son is four years old and very naughty. Thank Liz for his tolerance. A satisfactory accommodation, the opportunity will come again.

Our converted coach house offers a cosy corner in the busy village of Downton from which to visit the historic cathedral city of Salisbury and the open spaces of the New Forest. Parts of the property date back to 1475 with links to the Bishops of Winchester. There is plenty on offer in and around the village, with local shops, gardens, pubs, walks and bicycle rides along the River Avon. Bournemouth beaches are not far away. We welcome dogs but do have a pet charge of £20 for their stay.
There are stairs up to the double bedroom mezzanine, and there is additional accommodation for another adult and child with the full size single bed (doubles up as an extra sofa) and a pull-out single bed underneath. This is a single bed on a wooden base which can stay out and is comfortable. We can also provide a travel cot with bedding, stair gates and a high chair for those with a toddler. We must make you aware of the various STAIRS in the property if you are bringing a crawling baby or toddler.
The pub next door serves good pub food, and has a small cosy bar with lots of atmosphere - perfect for a pint of the local ale. The village of Downton has easy access to local shops and amenities, such as a Co-Op, a local butcher, and an award-winning café. The public gardens, the "Downton Moot" a Norman motte and Bailey and landscaped gardens are just around the corner. The River Avon winds its way through the village.
  • Stylish property with oodles of history. Such a comfortable bed. Best sleep for ages. Everything you need whether you stay in or visit the pub next door.

The loft bedroom makes the house feel so open while the fireplace makes it so warm and inviting. The kitchen had everything you might need and the fresh sourdough bread went down a treat! Penny is wonderful and kept in contact and if we needed anything she was right there, and gave us some brilliant recommendations for things to do and see in the area. All in all this was one of the most wonderful breaks we have had in a long time and we can’t wait to come back!

    Yevaan2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed with our two dogs lots of great walks lovely village the coachhouse even better then pictures ,garden really safe for dogs. All the little extra bits was a lovely gesture. Pennie is a great host, very quick response apon arrival. Very cosy cottage, loved the log burner. Will definitely look to come back

    Lewis2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is a lovely space, clean, homely and comfortable. Pennie was so welcoming and gave lots of information on local walks. Great location would definitely return!

    Stacey2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • We booked to stay with Pennie for a long weekend in the New Forest, and were very lucky to take advantage of a late cancellation to do so. Had no idea how lucky we were though until now!! Pennie's cottage is a beautiful home, with such a large number of little touches that give a clue as to the type of person the host is. We arrived with Pennie coming out to meet us, who had provided breakfast for the whole weekend, along with all the tea, coffee and firewood we'd need. She even gave us some home-made cinnamon buns halfway through our stay! The pub next door does great food, and great service, and the location is perfect for those with or without cars to explore the New Forest and surrounding areas (can recommend an evening in Salisbury). Pennie also on hand with lots of expert local tips, but I don't see any reason why a night-in, with the patio garden or fireside sofa wouldn't be a good shout too. We' d love to come back to see the place in the summer, but our trip in British February was a raging success, and that's saying something!! P.S. As a tip: Pennie's quite right that Google Maps and her address don't mix. But the Wooden Spoon was a great way for us to Sat Nav our way accurately to the cottage!

    Richard2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely quaint coach house. You have your own parking literally next to the front door so great for unloading the car. A pub next door that does good food and also you weren’t disturb from any noise from the pub. A lovely enclosed garden for our dog to run around. We enjoyed the wood burner and we found the lounge and bedroom lovely and warm but we did find the kitchen and bathroom a bit chilly. We did have cold, wet weather though. All in all it’s a great place and good location for exploring. We would like to go back in better weather.

  • The space is really nice. Good size, clean, comfortable. Bus stop right in front of the house is very convenient. I never actually met Matthew and Emma but their son checked me in and he was very friendly and helpful. Great deal for the price.

  • Friendly family and a clean, tidy room.

    Richard2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Matthew and Emma's house is a gorgeous place for a short or long stay. With a bus stop right outside and buses every 10 minutes it is super easy to access the Salisbury city centre and stone henge (if that's your aim). The room itself is lovely - a big comfy bed, loads of storage space, a clean and private ensuite and an incredibly thoughtful tea station with tea ingredients, porridge for the morning and a kettle. There are even a TV, DVD player and a load of lovely books. Emma was a lovely, friendly host ready to welcome me even with my late-night transport issues and I really loved my entire time in their house!

  • Melissa's studio was perfect for my fiance and I. The studio was very tidy. We only stayed 1 night but Melissa was extremely gracious about checking in and out. VERY clean and comfortable. Walking distance from the city center was maybe 5-10 minutes and it was very easy to get to and from anywhere. Melissa gave us a recommendation for a taxi service that we took from the unit to Stonehenge for the early access/sunrise tour at 5:30am (which was incredibly helpful). Overall 10/10 clean and comfortable studio with an amazing host.

    Sura2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • The place is really nice and cozy. The sofa is very comfortable and so is the bed. There were 2 bottles of water for us there and some cookies, towels and a few books on the shelf (in case you forgot yours=]). Melissa was great, gave us some tips on the attractions and even allowed us to leave the luggage before the check-in time, I am very grateful for that. The shower water gets very warm, but there is little water flow. The city is quite small, so you can walk everywhere.

The Horse and Groom is also along Wilton road and is a nice traditional city pub that serves good food at a good price. Like walking/cycling? We are also only a 1 minute walk from the beautiful village of Lower Bemerton. Here you can pick up the broken bridges walk. A lovely walk about 2. 5 miles to the city centre. • Pamela and Michael are wonderful persons who manage a wonderful house. I stayed there for just one day but I found every little thing perfect, every small detail at its place. The breakfast worth the visit by itself (also if I haven't try the English one, sorry Pamela). In 15 minutes you can reach on foot the center (from which you can take the bus for stonhenge) and the cathedral. Highly recommended

The room was impeccable and incredibly comfortable. Pamela was kind enough to make a full English breakfast in the morning which was delicious and as enjoyable as my conversations with both Michael and Pamela. They are more than super hosts! They went the extra mile and I highly recommend staying here!

  • Nancy has been very attentive and kind to us. The room was clean and equipped with everything you need (even a small fridge). The wifi did not arrive very well, as it says in the announcement, but why have Wi-Fi if you are in good company: D. The road to downtown Salisbury is 10-15 minutes walking, so perfect. Quality shower gel and shampoo/ conditioner is provided.
Our neighbourhood is friendly and (URL HIDDEN) is safe with an extremely low crime rate. There is a large Waitrose ( grocery store ) a 7 minute walk away where everything can be found. There are regular buses into town and of course taxis if needed.

The house is ideally located in Wilton and Corinne and Mick were great hosts, allowing me to wash my dirty cycling kit, check out later than planned and overall were really nice and friendly people. Definitely recommend.

  • I had a great stay at Corrine’s place. Corrine, her husband Mick and their family were so warm, friendly and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble and they didn’t make me feel like I was intruding. I was given a key to the house and was able to come and go as I needed to. The space was great, really clean and cosy with a really comfortable bed and great shower. They provided breakfast cereal, a fridge of milk and water, and the provision to heat and eat a meal and have a variety of hot drinks. I would definitely recommend staying at Corrine’s. Thank you.

The shared spaces are lovely as well. The hosts are lovely and very approachable and the location is ideal, only a 10min walk into the centre of town. Would definitely stay again!

  • I stayed at Grace's for one night only as I had a wedding nearby. We agreed flexible check in and check out which was most appreciated. Communication was quick and helpful - she even gave me tips for where to go for my run in the morning as I'm not familiar with the area. I didn't get to meet Grace but the key was left for me and getting in was straight forward. The room was great. The sheets and towels were super fresh and bed really comfy. She'd even left out water and a selection of hot drinks and some fruit. Lovely! Not to mention some books on Stonehenge as I'd asked her about it I highly recommend staying here - it was my great value. Thank you!

  • Adam was a great host and the apartment was very nice, Adam was quick to respond to any questions. We stayed for 4 days and it was a great place to see some of the local sights. Situated on a quiet, residential street, but still walking distance to the city centre. Would recommend.

  • Great clean apartment in a perfect location. While parking is difficult on the street. It's close to Devizes Road bus stop to take you to city center. Easy self check-in. The whole check-in and check out process was smooth and Adam was very quick and helpful in all his responses. Lovely place would happily stay here again.

  • Adam's flat was just perfect for our working team at Salisbury. We booked at last minute without any problems. Adam was very helpful and tried to make our stay as comfy as possible. His communication was outstanding. Thanks

  • Great location that is close to StoneHenge and within walking distance to many pubs in Salisbury. The apartment was clean and very nicely decorated. There was a nice view looking out the bedroom/kitchen windows. Also the bathroom looked newly re-done too with a great working shower; heated up instantly and maintained heat/pressure. Only thing to mention is that street parking is tight if you have a vehicle, but we never had a problem getting a spot. Adam also sets you up with a temporary parking permit which was very nice. Great place to stay, would rent again!

    Jen2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Adam was a great host and the apartment was absolutely brilliant. It fitted a lot in and also was quite spacious - all-round a lovely place to stay! Situated on a quiet, residential street, but still walking distance to the city centre. Thoroughly recommend!

  • Great location close to the city centre with an easy walk to the shops and train station. Good communication from Adam and everything was just as described in the information provided. Access to the flat was straightforward and everything was clean and tidy, with a well appointed kitchen, a comfy bed and all the facilities you'd want. Thanks very much!

    Simon2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Adam’s flat is extremely clean, and has absolutely everything you need for a short, or even longer stay! The bed is comfortable, the kitchen is equipped and the house was spotless! Location is right near the leisure centre, and a 5 minute walk to the supermarket, train station was super close and town was either accessible via the roundabout and Fisherton street, or via the river which is lovely for a nice change of scenery! There is a bus service that stops right at the top of the street which is convenient in the rain. Adam was very lovely and responsive when I was having problems with air bnb admin, and extremely patient through the process. I would recommend this flat to anyone and will definitely stay again when I am back in Salisbury or even surrounding areas!

  • Jean was a superb host, she is very nice and makes you feel at home. The bedroom is big with storage space and a little table with tea, cofee and snacks. The en-suite bathroom is also big and very clean. Jean allowed us to use her kitchen and the washing machine which was a massive help. I do highly recommend this place, it is located around 20 min walk from the city and it is indeed a lovely walk through fields and alongside the river. Thanks Jean for helping us so much and for being so lovely. We are indeed coming back very soon!

A pretty 17th Century Grade 2* listed terraced cottage a short level walk from the city centre. The recently decorated "Gold Room" on the first floor is in very good order. The newly decorated en suite has a bath with a mixer tap. Both rooms over look a small leafy city garden. 8 miles from Stonehenge Salisbury is a beautiful busy historical 13th Century Cathedral city with shops, a theatre, cinema, museums, The City Hall, Arts Center and many cafes, coffee shops, restaurants, pubs + clubs.
You will be staying in my quiet home with a full time lodger and two spoilt nervous ginger cats. There are quirky steep stairs up to the room on the first floor. The cats are confined to the kitchen and utility area so unfortunately breakfast cannot be provided, however, there is a small mini fridge and facilities to make hot drinks in the room. I use the the kitchen and utility on ground level and the private living room and study in the basement.
Built around the 1850s, the brush makers cottage is situated in the north of the city within the historic Griffin Chequers. The surrounding land was farmed until the 13th century then reserved as a park for playing and walking in 1566. The Arts Centre, a culture complex is only a few hundred yards away. Walk to the Old Mill Hotel situated on one of the many lovely rivers surrounding the city through the beautiful Water Meadows, made famous by the artist Constable, and see stunning views of the 13th century Cathedral. One of the copies of the 1215 Magna Carta can be seen at Salisbury Cathedral, which also has the tallest spire and largest cloister in Britain plus the world's oldest working clock. The Odeon Cinema in New Canal is worth a visit as parts date back to the 1400s.
  • Lovely room! Great location, lots of food and shops (and cultural things to do) close by. Host gives helpful hints on how to find the place once you get into town; it’s a little tricky otherwise!!

    Gavan2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • The en-suite room was beautifully decorated, warm and quiet. The bathroom was well stocked with toiletries and there were free nibbles too. Great location, Karen was a wonderful host and let us store our luggage until the afternoon. Perfect place to stay.

  • Really great stay, very cosy place and extremely central. Great hospitality as well....thank you Karen! 5 stars!

    Jawwad2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Karen is a welcoming, helpful host. The room is gorgeous with an ENORMOUS bathroom. The level of facilities was excellent, tea, coffee etc - a fridge in the room. In an excellent location. Two points to mention, the stairs are incredibly steep so avoid if you have any mobility concerns and there is a gorgeous, deep bath but no 'proper' shower This is no way affected our stay as we loved the room etc. Definitely stay here again.

    Tina2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent accomodation, welcoming and hospitable host. Very richly equiped room.

    Magdaléna2019-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Karen’s place is great, near the city centre, plenty of parking just 200 yards away which is free after 3pm. You can unload bags from the car a very short walk away from the front door. The room has many lovely extra touches, e.g. LOVELY coffees, tea and hot chocolate, a choice of fresh milk, biscuits, lovely soft tissues etc. The private bathroom is spacious and well equipped with lots of lovely soft towels. All in all a very pleasant and comfortable stay.

Good communication with Marcus who advised us to use the Justpark app. Never used it before but recommended as it works out much cheaper than using the municipal car parks. Thanks!

    Nick2019-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely room, very comfy bed, great tray of tea and coffee stuff, TV and DVD player and DVD selection if you want it. A gorgeous shower room - downstairs but that didn't bother me in the slightest - and just a really friendly, safe and happy atmosphere to stay in.

    Fiona2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Clean house, friendly welcoming, helpful and flexible host. I would recommend to anyone who visit that beautiful little city Sainsburry. My favorite think is the little mirror just over the toilette :))

  • Would definitely recommend/use again.

    Lew2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Annie and Martin offer a wonderful opportunity to relax and enjoy Salisbury. First, the accommodations are first rate—clean, comfy in every way. These lovely hosts generously shared their home, knowledge of the area and their time in a delightful chat about ourselves and the world at large. Just the kind of experience for which I choose ABnB. The bus to Salisbury is a few steps out the door from the house. Car parking in front of the house was secure, convenient. So nice to forget the car and explore without worry or hassle. I expect I’ll be returning to Salisbury same time next year, and so it goes I will look into staying with Annie and Martin. I look forward to then....

Tasteful renovation of a period property, a stones throw from Salisbury and close to the railway station and the cosmopolitan bars and restaurants of the city centre.
As a guest you have full use of the entire property which is fully equipped with everything you need for comfortable and relaxing stay.
The apartment is located in a quiet residential area, but with a convenient store close by and is a short, level walk from the city centre.
  • Adam was very quick to sort out any issues. Thank you for a great stay so close to town.

  • This one bedroom (second bed/couch in living room, two toiles!) is really a great place for exploring Salisbury (few minutes walk to town) but also if you travel for business. Adam is a dilligent landlord who cares for his tenants - he reacted immediately to fix a problem when I arrived. Thanks!

    Merlin Aragon2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in Salisbury over New Year at Adam’s place and had a great time. The flat was cosy, clean, comfortable and well-equipped - we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Brilliant location - we know Salisbury well, and couldn’t have been better placed for visiting town (a short walk into the centre) and catching up with friends living locally. Loads of good pubs, cafes and restaurants within easy reach.

    Janette2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Adam’s place was ideal for us as a family. It was easy to find, spacious and clean. Adam was quick to respond to any queries. We would stay again.

Little Deans is in a quiet location on the outskirts of Salisbury, in the shadow of Old Sarum Castle, ideally located to explore Salisbury and its surroundings. Ample parking in driveway available. Walking to Salisbury and its many restaurants, pubs and shops is about 20 minutes via a beautiful path near the house. Self-serve continental breakfast from 7.30am until 10am.
Guests are welcome to enjoy the garden, which is very large and very well maintained.
The property is located in Stratford-sub-Castle, a beautiful village near Old Sarum Castle, which is the older part of Salisbury. Direct access on foot to Old Sarum is opposite the property. From the property, a very pleasant drive through the Woodford Valley takes you to Stonehenge.
  • 10/10: Jean‘s place is perfectly located for people who want to visit Salisbury and Stonehenge. Jean is friendly and has a lovely dog. Your room is facing the garden and has a private bathroom. Everything is very clean!

    Ingmar2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Very pleasant stay thanks to a lovely room with a private bathroom. The lady of the house is very nice and advised us very well on the nice footpath to Salisbury. If you meet the dog of the house, he is very cute and gentle.

    Sylvie2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Jean's beautiful home is perfectly situated between Salisbury, Stonehenge and Old Sarum. The room was as described with a lot of thoughtful touches, including toast and cereal in the morning. The garden is wonderful to relax in and play with George, the loveliest and most energetic Labrador!

    Angelina2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • This room exceeded all expectations. It's clean, bright, and well-appointed. Of note, there's a quiet footpath running nearly from the doorstep into town, at perhaps a half-hour's walk to the city centre.

  • Really nice and quiet room with a view to the garden. everything was very clean and comfy. The host was very friendly and it almost felt like staying at a hotel. To get to the city center it's about a 20-minute walk but the path leads through a beautiful park so it is very enjoyable.

2 Bedrooms in 1860s terraced cottage newly refurbished. Long stay guests welcome. Double room (max 2 guests) & 1 single room (max 1 guest), Single room booked separately see single room: https://abnb.me/EVmg/qlB3rN8cHJ You will be welcomed by a very friendly elderly cat, if allergic please be aware. Near water meadow walks, country pubs and easy bus or walk to station and city, continental breakfast extra £7.50 per person Weekends Only, if booked in advance and paid by cash on arrival.
Charm of a Victorian cottage combined with freshly renovated space, just a short walk to train and city centre but feels almost like country.
Lower Bemerton is a pretty "ribbon" village between Salisbury Station and Wilton, the river Nadder runs along its edge with pretty walks along the banks and across the water meadows to Harnham. The location is friendly, quiet, convenient. Check out: (URL HIDDEN) There are lots of country pubs with great food at varying prices I can advise you which ones are worth a visit such as The Bridge at Upper Woodford, Beckford Arms near Fonthill Gifford. We have a cinema which looks like the great hall from a Harry Potter’s Hogwarts school so fun to go to. The amazing cathedral with Europe’s oldest mediaeval spire is also a must do and you can climb the spire if you have the legs for it! The cathedral close also houses so lovely old buildings such as the Natural Trust’s Mompesson House, Ted Heath’s home (former Prime Minister) is open to the public and has a great art collection. If you like art Gallery 21 in the central square holds some interesting exhibitions, as do the various smaller galleries and if you drive out of town Tisbury’s Messina Wiltshire Gallery is an incredible place and Roche Court has huge outdoor sculptures dotted around the grounds that are impressive.
  • A memorable stay, warm welcome and amazing hospitality throughout (including staying up till 2:30 talking!). Jo's home is wonderful and quaint, a real gem. If you're travelling to Salisbury, then look no further for somewhere special to stay.

  • Jo was a fantastic host. She made us very welcome and made extensive efforts to help us arrange our travel plans both on foot and by taxis and buses, even offering to pick us up if we were stuck. She also fitted in with our arrival and departure times, even though these were possibly inconvenient for her. She was both charming and accommodating and we recommend her to other visitors unreservedly.
