Dive into the plunge pool with sweeping views of the Mediterranean Sea. For adventurous travelers who will appreciate the 10-minute panoramic walk to the house (we will transport your luggage and groceries by tractor). The magical view of the world below with the coast on the horizon which can be enjoyed from every room of the house and from the entire olive orchard with its walking paths and plunge pool with waterfall. Being a pedestrian village, Metato is quiet and peaceful. Yet, the beach and many great places to visit are a short drive away- Pisa, Florence, Lucca, the marble quarries of Cararra, Pietrasanta, Viareggio.... Guests have exclusive access to the pool and property. Metato is a friendly litttle village in the hills overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. There is a quaint family-run restaurant in the village that serves local homemade dishes at a very reasonable price. Our pedestrian village tends to attract kind people in search of peace and quiet and a proximity with nature. Time seems to go by more slowly here. It is a perfect base for families who want to explore Tuscany and the beaches of the Versilia coast. The home is in a beautiful, quiet location on a hill surrounded by olive orchards and vineyards just a 10-minute walk from the parking lot. Explore the medieval village of Metato where fireflies and breathtaking views await. Take an invigorating hike or head to the beaches a short drive away. There is a parking lot at the base of the village where you can park the car. The village itself is pedestrian but I am happy to greet guests at the parking lot on their arrival to transport their luggage, groceries and whoever wants to ride to the house with my little Italian tractor! The nearest airport is Pisa (45-minutes by car). All the major car rental places can be found there. The nearest train station is Viareggio.

The MOONLIT & SUNNY COTTAGE near Florence

IL COLLE DI FALTUGNANO: immersed in an olive grove on a Tuscan hills and with an amazing view of the valley, the stone cottage has been remarkably recovered a few months ago, a caravanserai a few century ago. In a strategic position close to Florence and Mugello is a good base for exploring Tuscany and be independent at the same time with supermarkets and restaurants just a few minutes away. Close to a farmhouse you can buy fresh local organic ingredients such as bio vegetables, eggs or cheese.

Casa Melograno is a carefully renovated stone farmhouse. To get to the house, there is a small uphill road that is not suitable for low-suspension cars, and the first 5 metres are for experienced drivers. The swimming pool has a terrace and a wooden pergola, deckchairs and parasols. The whole is completed by Tuscan furnishings with stone walls, chestnut beams and terracotta floors. Casa Melograno has 2 double bedrooms, a kitchen and 2 bathrooms. A large private garden completes the property.

Il Collettino, your vacation in Tuscany

In our Agriturismo, the "Buffardello" apartment has a double bedroom with the possibility of adding a single bed, bathroom with shower, large living room with equipped kitchen, dining table and sofa bed for one and a half. Outdoor garden with table, barbecue and sun loungers. Swimming pool and playground shared with other apartments. A short walk from the small medieval village of Sillico, where there is an excellent restaurant and hiking and mountain-biking trails.

La Rupina is a private, detached home designed for independent explorers. Set in the mountains near Lucca, the house offers views across the Serchio Valley to Pania della Croce. After exploring the region, return to a home designed for relaxing in: Soothe tired legs in the private plunge pool (4m×2m×1m) Use the outdoor grill for a well-earned Italian BBQ while the sun sets over the peaks. The fascinating medieval village of Silico is a few metres walk, and there are mapped walks all around the village. The village itself has cultural attractions and events throughout the year. The owner can arrange for electric mountain bike hire.
