Les Coumayres is a newly renovated 16th century farmhouse in the mountains, surrounded by lakes, hiking treks, old villages and stunning countryside. The house comprises the main family home and four self contained holiday homes. There is a heated swimming pool, children's adventure playground, tree house, play pond, large stone BBQ and many terraces. The owner lives on site. The house has a 30m long shaded south facing stone terrace with incredible views towards the Pyrenees.

This cottage is very warm and spacious, in a closed and wooded plot of 2000 m², with great views of the surrounding mountains. It is adorned with wood like a chalet, with its bar and an open fireplace that makes it very friendly and welcoming. Ilse consists of 4 rooms, living room/kitchen/dining room, 1 master bedroom, + 1 extra, 1 bathroom and 2 toilets. Between sea and mountain, ideally located in Cathar Country, in the dry pond of Marseillette, 15 minutes' walk from the Canal du Midi, this character cottage is the starting point for many walks, hikes, visits... The City of Carcassonne is less than half an hour away, the beaches of Gruissan and Narbonne 45 minutes away, Spain 1 hour away, many Cathar castles nearby...

In Cathar country, we offer you a life experience deep in the forest, in the mountains, where wildlife also shares the place... ideal for recharging your batteries far from the constraints and stress of city life. You will find in the chalet all the comforts, and Wi-Fi available. Cool in summer (possibility of snow in February). At Federico and Pierre's: The straw house

Small 27 m2 house, perched among the trees in a quiet setting. To access it, you will need to walk on a path for 200 m up a steep hill. The house includes a living room with sofa bed, kitchen area, bedroom and bathroom with dry toilet. Breakfast not included but we offer homemade meals. Max power is 800W: check your devices before coming. We communicate exclusively via messaging/email, the phone does not get here.

Ideal for a nature and relaxation holiday!

Quiet in a typical hamlet

On the mountainside between Espinouse and Caroux (400m above sea level), this typical peasant construction of 62 m², eco-restored in 2017, accommodates you in the heart of a very quiet hamlet. From the terrace, a superb view of the Avants-Monts invites you to enjoy outdoor activities. A walk in the forest is possible even outside the cottage!
