La Chataigne - family friendly gite with pool

Les Coumayres consists of four unique, newly renovated gites. La Chataigne is at the front of the house with one more gite and the owners home. Behind the house are two larger gites. We also have a Glamping site with two unique domes, located a couple of minutes walk. Relax by the heated pool whilst your children play in the pool, play ping pong or have fun in the playground. There is plenty of space for everyone and each gite has their own private terrace with outdoor sofa and dining for four.

This cottage is very warm and spacious, in a closed and wooded plot of 2000 m², with great views of the surrounding mountains. It is adorned with wood like a chalet, with its bar and an open fireplace that makes it very friendly and welcoming. It consists of 4 rooms, living room/kitchen/dining room, 1 main bedroom, + 1 extra bedroom, 1 bathroom and 2 toilets. Between sea and mountain, ideally located in Cathar Country, in the dry pond of Marseillette, 15 minutes' walk from the Canal du Midi, this character cottage is the starting point for many walks, hikes, visits... The City of Carcassonne is less than half an hour away, the beaches of Gruissan and Narbonne 45 minutes away, Spain 1 hour away, many Cathar castles nearby...

Atypical stone house, African huts

We offer this 65 m2 18th century stone house located in the heart of the old hamlet of Frangouille and whose exterior is decorated with sculptures. The hamlet, backed by woods and the Orb Mountains, is located in the upper Orb Valley. The house, filled with travel memories, is located in a very quiet area. Guests can take advantage of its covered terrace, facing south, the garden and we provide African huts (30 m² annex) located in the garden.

Outside, a small garden invites you to relax in a quiet and green environment.

You will be welcomed in the heart of nature preserved in an old sheepfold renovated into atypical accommodation. Upstairs is a large 70 m2 living room with a lounge, an equipped kitchen and a living room. Plus a toilet. On the ground floor, 3 bedrooms including a master suite, a bathroom and a separate toilet. Outside, you can enjoy a large naturally shaded terrace, garden furniture, plancha, and pétanque court.

Quiet in a typical hamlet

On the side of the mountain between Espinouse and Caroux (400 m above sea level), this typical 62 m² peasant building, eco-restored in 2017, accommodates you in the heart of a very quiet hamlet. From the terrace, a superb view of the Avants-Monts invites you to enjoy outdoor activities. A walk in the forest is possible right outside the gîte!

The ideal isolated escape ! This cosy cottage is hidden away in the beautiful and largely undiscovered Vallée de Gijou. As an ex-restaurateur I can provide breakfast, lunches, picnics and dinners on order. Nestled in the Haut Languedoc Park between the Southern town of Castres (40 minutes) and world heritage site of Albi (50 minutes).
