Between Senja & Narvik, rural, fjord, boat rental

Right between Senja and Narvik with short distance to mountains, fjords and spectacular nature. Former smallholding (multi-generational home). Perfect for North Norwegian experiences without crowds of tourists. Boat rental only 20 June – 20 Aug. Many marked hiking trails ("Lavangen Fjellvandrerlag"). The "Midnight Sun Staircase" leads you up to the foot of Spanstind 400 m above sea level (2000 steps). Day trip by car you reach Senja (about 100 km), Tromsø (190 km), Narvik( 55 km) Harstad ( about 140 km) . Polar Zoo ( approx. 40 km). 75 km to Harstad/Narvik airport

Chateau Sjøvegan - live right by the water's edge

Are you looking for something unique but central? Built by the Norwegian Armed Forces in 1934, Chateau Sjøvegan has been a coffee roastery and a bit more. On the same plot as Magasinet, which is to be renovated in 2026 with funds from the Cultural Heritage Fund. Conveniently located right by Sjøvegan (650 m to the centre) where there are shops, cafes, restaurants and a shower. Very simple standard! Outdoor toilet No running water, water tanks are included. 4 sleeping places (1x sofa bed for 2, 1x medium-sized bed on the mezzanine for 2, and 1x mattress)

Charming log cabin by the river

Charming, little log cabin right by the river. The cabin has only one room, with a bunk bed, dining table with two chairs, TV on the wall, kitchen bench with sink (without running water, see further down in the text), fridge and heating stove. Outside the cabin there is a site with a table and bench. Toilet and kitchen can be found in the service building 20 meters from the cabin. There is no running water in the cabin itself, this must be collected either in the small hut right above the cabin, or inside the kitchen in the service building.

Detached home by the farmyard, close to the sea, lovely views. Perfect place for recreation, relaxation, quiet and peace. Easy starting point for trips to the mountains, on the sea and in the cultural landscape. Relax in close contact with our social sheep and lambs. Possibility of hiking gear, backpack, thermos, sitting pad, etc. The hot tub is ordered separately, NOK 1,200 / EUR 120. Booking my 4 hours in advance. Lambing from mid April to first week of May - opportunity to see the little lambs and proud mothers.

Villa Sjøsiden – on the shore of the fjord, 3 bedrooms

Villa Sjøsiden is located right on the shore of a fjord in northern Norway. Enjoy the fjord scenery, spend an evening by the fireplace and explore the nearby excursion destinations. The entire cottage is at your disposal: three bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom for up to five guests. Dogs are also welcome. Linen and final cleaning are not included in the accommodation price; additional services are agreed in advance. There is a flushing toilet in the bathroom.

In Winter, you can marvel at the Northern Lights, go skiing or snowshoeing.

Relax with the whole family in this peaceful residence. Small cozy house for rent. Two bedrooms. One with two single beds. One with a double bed. Bedroom and shower/toilet on the second floor. Amazing views in summer and winter. Short distance to the midnight sun staircase which with its 2117 steps invites to many nice pictures and memories.

An old cabin with somewhat worn floors, but cosy, 100 m from the sea and with nice hiking terrain right outside the door. Great starting point for fishing in the sea or river in the summer. Hiking terrain right outside the door. Excellent starting point for northern lights photography and hiking in the field.

Apartment in the center of the village

Cozy apartment in my house, in the center of Salangen. 5-10 minutes to walk down to the shops. Perfect for 1-2 people, and everything you need is to be found here. I go hiking a lot in the area on skis, and can give recommendations for activities in the surrounding area.
