Farmstay holiday rentals in San Antonio River

What a beautiful vacation away from the busy city life. This bunkhouse was well equipped for relaxation including a beautiful view, lovely plung pool off the deck and a gorgeous bathtub that you could swim in with a rain shower next to it that was just as luxurious. The beds and linen were comfortable. The refrigerator is on the smaller side, what you’d expect with a bunkhouse but it was adorable. The driveway is 1.5 mile hard packed dirt but very well maintained. There is a plethora of wildlife along the way so keep your eyes open! The hosts are responsive and extremely helpful and nice! Will return again when in the area!

We could not have stayed in a more perfect home for our stay. The Maetze house is truly a wonder. It is decorated with unique artifacts from Mexico and Panama. We loved the high celiings, the warmth of the original shiplap walls, and that gorgeous walk-in tub. The kitchen had everything we could need. Each bedroom has its own full bath! The view of green jays (yes green jays!) was so entertaining. The dark night sky view of stars was spectacular as we sat around a fire on a cool October evening. However, even this was out-done by a surprise greeting by NINE miniature donkeys as we drank coffee on the back porch! They were friendly and tame and just PRECIOUS! Next time we will rent all three houses because I cannot imagine a better place for a family reunion and nature retreat! And don't forget to eat at the family-owned Watering Hole in near-by Goliad's town square. Or a fascinating walk-through of Goliad's Oak Hill cemetary with its earliest inhabitants going back to just a few years after the Battles of the Alamo and Goliad including members of the Texas Calvary and veterans of the Confederate war. There is an HEB and Walmart less than 30 minutes away in Kenedy. And last but not least, the hostess, Claire, was a pleasure to deal with and very responsive. Thank you, Clare, for a truly MAGICAL stay! We will be back!

Nice walking distance to Main Street of Boerne. Location on dead end street made it very quit, no car or truck noise. Property is just 10 years old, very spacious, quality and spacious. Dedicated parking next to the front door. We would stay here again.

Good furniture, comfortable bed, and a very sweet, beautiful, friendly cat that loves everyone makes a person feel at home in the very peaceful setting you will find yourself in. A very relaxing atmosphere

We loved this gorgeous space to call home for a few days while visiting family in Seguin. We enjoyed peaceful early morning walks in the quiet neighborhood where we admired the trees and various birds that nest along the river. It was quiet and clean. Vicki was a great host and very responsive. A unique home up on stilts so not the best if you have mobility issues. Otherwise, it's a great spot

It’s far and very private! We loved the drive to the home , Dee was very helpful and accommodating . We enjoyed our stay a lot, the pool and patio was everyone’s favorite.

Jennifer’s tiny home was the perfect resting spot after a quick river float and before a concert at Whitewater. The home is VERY clean and we were able to get an Uber with ease. The cherry on top- a very friendly cat. We would def stay again if in the area. Ty!

This place was the perfect little getaway to find peace and get a little reset of daily life in the city. It was nice to connect with nature and reconnect with yourself and whomever you go. The yurt had most of your needed amenities (except a microwave) however this is camping so, go prepared. There are a lot of critters roaming around but that's part of the experience. This place is definitely a very nice spot to unwind, peaceful, quiet, private. Highly recommend and appreciate the responsiveness of the host.

The Farmhouse is in a very quiet area. We loved the nostalgia of the place and the peaceful atmosphere. Bartley was spot on as a host. We would definitely stay again!

The place was very beautiful and roomy. We used it for a birthday party and didn’t have any issues with space. Very accommodating and the host was super nice. We didn’t stay the night so I can’t tell you what it was like at night time, but for what we used the house for was perfect.

The perfect Hill Country weekend. This place strikes a balance between feeling private & serene, set back into nature, with deer frequently wandering by -- with great walkability to the town square. We enjoyed yummy food and cute shopping around Boerne, and it couldn't have been easier. After parking the car upon arrival, we never had to use it again until we left 3 days later. The space was well-decorated, comfortable and cozy. Our senior dog and 2.5 year old human child felt right at home, too. The sound machines in each bedroom were a great touch.

Highly recommended! I had a wonderful time with my family and friends. We loved the location , the river in-front of the house and the access to do the Kayak. Very peaceful and calm place. Also, communication with Tawnya was excellent.

The place is very tranquil and there's lots to do just staying here. We enjoyed the pickleball court, pool table, pool, hot tub and saying hi to the animals. Kim is a very welcoming host. Highly recommend staying here.

great property for families to gather and enjoy the surroundings and each other.

We've had some amazing hosts and Christina is definitely top 3! So friendly and helpful. I asked about the grill (it's charcoal). She said a store (1/2 mile away) had charcoal, but when we showed up a full bag was waiting by the grill! We had such a relaxing time at her place. Plenty of firewood and kindling, so we used the fire pit every evening (actually saw a great-horned owl one night!). If you want to get away, this is the place.

the scenery was beautiful and very open and a lot of fun things to do inside the house and outside.
