Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Santa Cruz Island

Gecko was a great place to stay, the hosts were lovely and very responsive to questions/queries. The apartment was cleaned almost every day and we had a supply of bottled water for our 2 week stay and just had to ask if we needed more and it was swiftly delivered. The walk into town is about 15 minutes which we enjoyed each time. We cooked in the apartment a few times, having an extra pan would have been useful but it was manageable. Lovely quiet outdoor space or table and chairs and hammocks. We arranged our airport transfers through Gecko and all went smoothly.

Un lugar muy agradable equipado cerca de un parque para los niños nos agradó mucho la estancia ahí no tuve el gusto de conocer mucho a Ana pero me pareció una excelente anfitriona cosas a considerar el internet ya que en en si no es tan bueno y la TV se paraba x momentos pero es algo manejable ya que a la isla vas a disfrutar de sus lugares

We spent three wonderful days at Andre's place. It was spacious and clean, the kitchen was fully equipped, there was a washing machine and clothes drying rack, and the communication with Andre was also smooth.

Easy checkin. The house was exactly as described. The host was very friendly and made sure we didn’t need anything else. A delicious pitcher of fresh squeezed orange juice was in the fridge. the house is very clean, we didn’t use the kitchen except to wash the cups but everything looked good. There are 2 living rooms in the house, one on the first floor and one on the second. My kids liked the toys, board games, and books available in the living rooms. There is air conditioning in each bedroom. And the air conditioning was strong! Excellent WiFi throughout the house. The neighborhood is very safe and quiet, as is the entire island of Santa Cruz. There is a store less than 1 block away where you can buy drinks and snacks. Taxi from this location to town is $1.50. When checking out, host called me a cab as well. Just a wonderful experience and I would recommend this house to anyone.

Excelente opción de alojamiento en Puerto Ayora. Paul y Gaby son excelentes anfitriones, atentos y prestos para responder cualquier necesidad de sus huéspedes. Mi familia se sintió muy feliz y satisfecha durante su estancia aquí. Muy Recomendable para familias!

Great 1st floor apartment, very clean, great host and service. Air conditioner is only in bedroom but it works great for both rooms. Kitchen is good, I was able to cook the whole week. Location is relatively quiet, it's 2 blocks from the main street and the market, but you can't hear the cars. Close to the trail to Tortuga Bay. 10-15 minutes walk to the port. There are a two more apartments in the same building, sharing the yard. Carlos was great, he offered towels and bedsheets change often, took care of the garbage too.

Stayed for a month. full time nomads. Best place we've stayed in South America over the last 7 months, in space and value. Great for 4 people with the two bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, perfect for 2 people having the extra space and bathroom. My wife and I loved it. Perfect for divers as we each had a shower to jump in and rinse / dry our gear after diving. kitchen was good for above basic meal prep. Jonathan had his father pick us up at the ferry and take us directly to the building. Every request or issue was addressed and or managed in 30 minutes or less to include a sudden leaking shower head. 15 minutes and a plumber and host were there to fix in less than 1 hrs Easy 15 minute walk to downtown. 2 bikes we were given to use were awesome. We rode all over town. 2 fresh bakery shops with in 2 blocks. 3 small local grocery stores on the street for basics. butcher shops down Duncan Street 800 meters away. stay trick..use the rice cooker to pre heat water for dishes. stay 2026 again

We loved the apartment. We loved the hammock on the balcony. They had some fresh water for us to drink. They let us know how much a taxi ride should cost which helped us get around without worrying about it. The AC was nice. The neighborhood has plenty of little grocery stores and bakeries. We'd stay here again.

We loved our stay here, great value for money, large living space and will equipped kitchen! The location was great as it was only a ten minute walk to the ferry port. The host was very responsive and helpful at all times.

We had a great stay at this Airbnb, which offered excellent value for money. The location is fantastic—just a short walk to the Charles Darwin Research Station, shops, and restaurants—yet it’s tucked away in a generally quiet part of town. The apartment is very spacious, with comfortable beds (though travelers should note the bedding is on the lighter side, which seems typical for the climate here). Aircon was strong and reliable. The kitchen had the basics, which allowed for simple meals. It features an old-fashioned, match-lit gas oven and stovetop, which was fun for us—especially showing our kids how it works! That said, some guests might find it a bit tricky, and the oven didn’t generate as much heat as expected. On the plus side, the fridge and freezer are generously sized, and having an ice tray was a bonus for cold drinks. The hosts, Jonathan and Ana, were incredibly responsive, friendly, and kind. Ana is usually next door in the little store and was very helpful. Thank you

We stayed for 6 days and had an excellent experience. The service was outstanding—Mr. Ernesto was very kind and always available to answer any questions. The house is in a great location, just 5 blocks from the port where all the tours depart. There are shops, restaurants, and everything you need nearby. It’s also close to Tortuga Bay, so you can walk there easily. Super well located! Everything was spotlessly clean: towels, sheets, and floors. The kitchen is fully equipped, and Mr. Ernesto kindly provided us with water, salt, oil, and other basics, which we truly appreciated. We felt completely at home and I give it a solid 10 out of 10. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Galápagos looking for comfort, cleanliness, and warm hospitality. Thank you for everything! We were very pleased with this condo as a family of three (dad, mom, 2 year old), and I would definitely stay here again or recommend it to a friend who visits Santa Cruz. PROS: Very comfortable beds and pillows. A/C in the living room and both bedrooms. Just off the beaten path to reach the main street with all the restaurants, and easily walkable if you don't mind a 10 min walk. Otherwise it's just a $1.50 taxi ride to most places you want to go. The place was clean and Diana was responsive. She brought us a big blue jug of water at our request so we could save money on bottled water. (You can refill the jugs for $2 and they last a week.) Easy condo access with digital keylock. CONS: It's a small condo, which was fine for us though. The kitchen lacks a few basics that would've made it more useful. No views from the condo, as the only two windows are in one bedroom and face the roof. However the positive is that it's very quiet (no road noise). Overall great stay! Thanks Diana.

We had a great stay at Leuris' apartment. It was very comfortable and spacious and had everything we needed - even plugs for the power points. The location was good - an easy walk to the centre of town and the harbour. Leuris was very welcoming and helpful. She organised taxis for us to and from the apartment. I highly recommend this Airbnb if you're visiting Santa Cruz.

This is a great find! although there were renovations, the host was very accommodating to work around it. Veronica and Javier absolutely made this AirBnB one of the best I've ever stayed in! William was a recommended driver direct from the host and he was also worth his weight in gold! Bikes were provided along with helmets and the Port is within 10 minutes walking. I loved everything about our stay and we will definitely return!

What an open peaceful space! The porch was spectacular and we spent a lot of time sitting out there. It was an easy walk to almost anything. The AlMar restaurant was a three minute walk with delicious food and drinks as well as being right on the water. We loved how open and airy the space was and the air conditioning was much appreciated especially for sleeping! Thank you to Matthew for meeting us and answering all our questions!

Enrique Veronica and Javier were excellent host during our stay for the week. Not only did we have breakfast every morning exactly when we asked there was a variety of different items that were served. Additionally, Veronica helped out immensely with tours and even getting our laundry done. We would highly recommend this location and in future trips we will stay again. We liked this place so much that we came back for a second stay. The hosts are super kind and very helpful. The pool is wonderful. The room is great. Location is nice. Breakfast is yummy. Hard to beat a place like this.
