“My husband and I wanted to go to the mountains for the long weekend and enjoy the scenery during the cold weather. We never stayed in a tiny house before, but it was a very pleasant experience. Everything we needed was in that house. It was nice and quiet and we took some very long scenic drives around the area. We also got to enjoy the jacuzzi and I really enjoyed the heaters. There's a lot of personality in that tiny house and it was a very fun weekend for me and my husband.”
This cozy 3 BR, 1.5 BA rustic mountain cabin is ideal for your family getaway, a special retreat with friends, or simply a night's break from the monotony of the road. This cabin is nestled in a private mountain cove on 16 peaceful acres but only 3 miles to Highway 143 and the Cherohala Skyway. Enjoy the mountains from a huge back deck with tables and chairs to accommodate friends and family.
“We visited the cabin over the Winter in January, 2020. The property was absolutely beautiful, spotless, and a true pleasure to stay at. This is one of our new favorite travel destinations, and I can’t recommend it enough. The mountain view from the back deck is unbelievable. I highly recommend both hiking and boat/tube rental at this location. Great hosts - excellent preparation and communication.”
This unique log cabin was built in the 1840s and moved to Graham County in 1969. Step into history and surround yourselves in the gorgeous Appalachian Mountains and breathtaking Lake Santeetlah. It has three bedrooms two and a half baths. Our Lake House has two decks and a campfire area overlooking the lake and a large dock for your enjoyment. You can have dinner on the back porch overlooking the lake as well. Step back in time and experience a true log cabin in a setting only God could create.
“We had a wonderful visit. The location was quiet and serene. The mornings on the dock/deck were magical as the animals started stirring and the warm lake steamed into the cool mountain air. The hosts were attentive, the beds were comfortable and the place was very clean (which says a lot for an old mountain cabin). I would definitely go back and will recommend the place to friends. As stated in the Airbnb description, cellular reception was minimal/null. The WiFi worked but was not fast and would intermittently drop the connection but that was to be expected bc of the cabin’s remote mountainous location.”
